Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)THE CAR WILL RANDOMLY ACCELERATE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS PRESSED. IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES BUT IT IS RANDOM AND DOESN'T HAPPEN EVERY TIME. IT HAS HAPPENED WHEN SLOWING DOWN GOING DOWN HILLS OR WHEN STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN. WHEN IT HAPPENS MY FOOT IS ALWAYS ON THE BREAK, EITHER SLOWING DOWN OR STOPPING, AND THE VEHICLE IS IN GEAR. THE RPM'S WILL JUMP FROM IDLE TO 3000. THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET IT TO STOP IS BY LETTING OFF THE BREAK AND PRESSING DOWN ON THE BREAK AGAIN, THIS SOMETIMES TAKES A COUPLE TIMES TO GET IT TO STOP. THANKFULLY I HAVEN'T BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT YET BUT IT IS VERY SCARY. I BROUGHT IT TO A DEALERSHIP BUT THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY SAID THAT THEY COULDN'T REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM STARTED LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AGO AND HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST A DOZEN TIMES.
