UNKNOWN Car was parked when sunroof shattered.
After putting my son in his car seat, I walked around got in the car and the rear window exploded. There was no warning. I called the cops of course they couldn’t do anything. This is a defect Hyundai must fix. Glass was all over thankfully my son didn’t get hurt. There are others who have experienced the same problem.
PANORAMIC SUNROOF UNEXPECTEDLY EXPLODED, WITHOUT ANY EXTERNAL (OR INTERNAL) CAUSE WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 635. FORTUNATELY, IT WAS CLOSED, SO NO GLASS PENETRATED THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR.
THE REAR HATCH GLASS HAS A DESTINATION LINE ABOUT 2 INCHES DOWN FROM THE TOP OF GLASS THAT RUNS THE FULL WIDTH OF THE GLASS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED IT 2 TIMES AND ALL HAVE THE SAME DEFECT. AFTER THE SECOND GLASS REPLACED I TOOK IT TO A GLASS SHOP. THEY VERIFIED IT HAS DEFECT LINE IN GLASS. DEFECT PRESENT AT ALL TIMES.
