When turning left or accelerating from 20 mph there is a really bad hesitation. The car has a hard time accelerating. It didn’t have this problem when we bought it. This poses a safety issue because you really have to give your self a lot of space or you will get hit for not accelerating. Every other time the car is quick and responsive.
When the car is warm, after driving. While the car is turned off and parked, for a time frame of 10 minutes or more re-entering the vehicle and pressing the push to start creates a false start. The vehicle turns over and the dash activates but the motor stalls. While the motor is stalled, it still displays that the engine is running.
2022 HYUNDAI TUCSON. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO DEFECTIVE POWERLIFT GATE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE IT WOULD BE TOO DIFFICULT TO OPEN THE LIFT GATE IF TRAPPED INSIDE DURING AN EMERGENCY. THE CONSUMER STATED THE OCCUPANT SHOULD NOT NEED A "TOOL" TO RELEASE THE LIFT GATE.
Safety Issue 2022 Hyundai Tucson: All cars I have previously owned had a safety feature that alerted me through a continuous dinging or beeping sound immediately if a door was left open and the car was put into gear. I unknowingly became reliant on this feature because I have young children that sit in the back seat. If I did not see that a door was open, the car would alert me through sound before I could drive off with a door open. The Hyundai Tucson only has this safety feature for the driver’s door, but not for the passenger door, rear doors or lift gate. While the small screen in front of the steering wheel shows a visual that a door is open, an alert beeping sound does not happen. The incident: My two children got into the back seat and I was already in the car. I thought I heard both doors shut but I did not turn around to check. I put the car into reverse and immediately looked at the backup monitor and did not look at the screen behind the steering wheel. There were no indications on the back up monitor or any audio alerts to indicate anything was wrong. I slowly backed up at 1 to 2 mph just taking my foot off the brake to exit my garage. Then the car was jolted to a stop and I put on the brake. When I looked behind me, I saw the driver’s side rear door was jammed into the side of the garage because my son had not closed the car door all the way. The door frame was slightly bent and about 6 inches of metal bent inward almost an inch by the latch so it could not shut. Luckily my son had his seatbelt on when this happened and was not injured. I think an auditory alert is a necessary safety feature on ALL doors (not just the driver door) to prevent this or something worse from happening. I assumed this was a standard safety feature on all cars to prevent people from falling out of cars and losing car doors while driving. I did take the car to the dealership to see if it was a setting issue, but they determined this is how the car was designed.
With approximately 6552 miles on the car, 7 months after I bought it new, the Vehicle sputtered and shut off. The GDI pump was replaced. It has not runnright since. It sputters, it does not respond appropriately when the accelerator is pressed, it went into limp mode and would not go more than 35 mph. It did not throw and engine code when this happened. This is a huge problem in itself. I could be out of oil and it potentially will not throw a code or warning. When the dealer had it for 45 days they drove it approximately 100 mile and could not duplicate. It is a serious danger to my life and I refuse to drive it. I had it towed and it now sits in my driveway will the lemon law case is processing
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving 40-50 MPH, the transmission was shifting hard, and was upshifting and downshifting independently. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had recurred several times while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was test-driven, but the failure could not be duplicated. Additionally, the manufacturer sent a field technician out who could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer then informed the contact that the vehicle was not experiencing a failure. The contact also stated that while driving 50 MPH, the Forward Collision Avoidance: Automatic Emergency Braking system engaged while there was no vehicles or objects nearby. The contact depressed the brake pedal to reset the vehicle, then depressed the accelerator pedal and continued driving. The contact stated that the failure recurred several times while driving. The contact stated that he was driving with the Adaptive Cruise Control mode engaged. The contact stated that while changing lanes, the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed. The engine will suddenly turn off several times while driving There has not been a turn-off at high speeds yet and the engine is turned off while driving at a low speed of approximately 20 to 40 miles.
The sunroof exploded outward, after being driven earlier in the day then parked in our garage. We went to pull it out of the garage again and didn’t even leave our driveway and the sunroof exploded. Researching the issue seems to have uncovered an existing problem with Hyundais that the manufacturer has not taken responsibility for yet. Seems like the government should get involved.
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving from a stationary position the vehicle switched to safe mode and suddenly decelerated, and would not accelerate above 20 - 27 MPH. During the failure, the message "Limited to 20 MPH" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on multiple occasions but the failure could not be duplicated. No further information was available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,500.
Significant windshield cracked with no impact causing visibility issue.
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that the tailgate independently opened while driving. The tailgate warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the wheel well molding had detached. The vehicle was repaired at an auto body shop. Additionally, the contact stated that there was water intrusion into the headlight housings, and there was a sharp plastic part coming through the rear seats. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was repaired. The contact stated while driving above 65 MPH, the vehicle was vibrating and would make an abnormal echoing vibrating sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the tires were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times. The dealer informed the contact that they could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, where it was test driven; however, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. Additionally, the contact stated that the brake pedal was pulsating while depressed. The vehicle was taken to dealer, where the brake rotors size was reduced; however, the failure persisted. The dealer advised the contact to take the vehicle to their location for the same repair to be completed. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 3.
On May 27, 2022 I started my car in the parking garage at work. The engine stuttered slightly but recovered. After I left the garage and accelerated I found that the car would not rev past 3000 rpm. At 3000 rpm the car began to lose power. It would recover when you backed off of the accelerator. This issue continue for the 27 mile trip from work to home. I restarted the car once I reached home and it was okay. I have tried to recreate the issue and it has not happened again. I took the car in for service and Hyundai dealership could not find any issue or recreate the problem. I am attaching the service invoice. I did find other 2022 Hyundai Tucson owners reporting the same issue in online forums so thought it best to provide info to both the NHTSA and Hyundai USA.
I have owned the car for 5 months. But have had the ability to drive it for four and a half of them. This vehicle has put me and my family at serious risk multiple time. The first incident my car would not accelerate when I drove onto the highway and it would constantly stutter when I would attempt to accelerate again causing a truck to almost rear end us. The following day my vehicle had a hot engine temp. I pulled over on the highway to an empty antifreeze tank. Refilled it multiple times to only have it empty out and completely shut off while we were driving! Took it to the dealership where it took them 2 weeks to return it. When I asked what the problem was they said they don't know they just replaced it. 3 weeks later ( 5/28/22) while driving back from an event the car starts making a clunking sound and shuts off on me 3 times on my way home with my 9 and 7 year old in the back. Thank goodness it wasn't on the highway! It's now 6/1/22 and I still haven't heard anything about my vehicle! This death box has put my family at risk 5 times. I would strongly advise against buying it! The manufacturer could care less. Luckily the lemon law protects them against people who's lives are constantly put at risk while driving there vehicle!
I bought my brand new car about 4 months ago. When i bought the car it was raining and i mentioned about the driver side wiper not working properly. They told me i have warranty and just bring it in when i can. I made an appointment and i have been there 2 times with same issue. The issue is the wiper skips on the windshield and makes loud bang when it goes to the left of the wndshield. I changed the factory wipers to brand new $30.00 Bosch and they same thing happened until 2 weeks the wiper finally just broke. I am on my 4th driver side wiper since i bought the car brand new 4 - 5 months ago. All i ask them is to replace the wiper arm but they told me until there is a recall they cannot replace it. Even though they see the issue. I cannot drive my suv if it rains out and in florida it rains everyday. The wiper just skips while making loud screacing noise. The Advisor told me that universal hyundai sold me the car without the lining on the windshield and idk what that means. I take my car to same dealer i bought the suv at. Please have a solution so i can get this fixed. Thank You
I bough my new suv around 4 to 5 months ago. Since i bought it and this only happened about 3 times. I was on highway and with no cars on the highway and myself going 70 the collision in the front came on and emergency breaking saying im about to hit something. But nothing was there. This also happened when i reversed too. The brakes would slam on saying collision. Also when im driving in a straight line the lane detection moves me in the middle of the road to the white lines are under my car and i am driving on 2 lanes. It keeps trying to move me over to other lane even though im in the correct lane. I have almost got into like 7 accidents. I already brought my car to the dealer and they told me there is no fix for that. I am not the first to come in saying the same thing.
The contact owned a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph when a semi-truck failed to slow down with traffic and crashed into the rear passenger side of the vehicle. The side air bags failed to deploy. The contact had bruising on their body and the passenger had injuries to their head and bruising to the body. Medical attention was needed. A police report was filed. The vehicle had been towed and deemed totaled. The semi-truck was damaged as well. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,670.
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the vehicle was not shifting properly causing the vehicle to overheat. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the transmission fluid tank was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The dealer was contacted but was unable to schedule an appointment. The manufacturer was contacted; however, the contact was not able to reach a representative. The failure mileage was 9,000. The VIN was not available.
Purchased a brand new 2022 tucson. Within 2 months it went to the dealer with about 7 dash fault lights turning on (abs, Air bag, lane assist, check engine, just to name a few) and breaks engage on their own. Stayed at the dealership for over 2 months while they had the Hyundai engineers try to figure out the issue. They gave it back to me and said it was a connector in the rear door. The vehicle has been back 4 times for the same exact issues for months at a time and they keep experimenting and giving it back to me. I tried to get it exchanged for a safer one and they denied my request. I guess my families safety isn't that important to hyundai after all.
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving approximately 20 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the brakes and power steering malfunctioned, causing the contact to momentarily lose control of the vehicle and the vehicle drove into the middle of a busy intersection. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on two previous occasions and the vehicle was taken to the local dealer, but no cause for the failure was found. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 300.
2022 2.5L HTRAC Tucson (Current Mileage: 27,088) This issue became notably clear roughly around the 12,000-to-15,000-mile mark on the vehicle. It's also worth mentioning that since month one of ownership, the vehicle has displayed some unnatural characteristics. Under hard throttle the engine created a tone that was very much discomforting and not confidence inspiring. It was abundantly clear the engine struggles to move this heavy AWD vehicle. The vehicle is so aggressive when it comes to shifting up to the next gear, I find myself doing 38-40 mph and the vehicle would be in 8th gear. When I would try to accelerate naturally the vehicle growls and vibrates and makes crunchy sounds as it struggles to accelerate against 8th gear. It's gotten so loud it can be heard over the AC and low volume radio. It's across the board as well, this issue occurs at highway speeds down to neighborhood driving. It will wholistically shift into too high of a gear whenever its possible, and the only way to prevent this experience is to manually shift the vehicle. This demonstrates that the driver is smarter in shifting requirements over the TCU. Furthermore, the gas milage for the first 12-to-15,000 miles failed to meet the specified expectations, additionally, the computer is aggressive in its calculations for the achieved MPG, and hand calculations tend to show they are off by 2 to 3 mpg consistently. I took the opportunity to change the oil in the vehicle early (1,500 miles) knowing that break in periods could have small metal build up as components seat and find their mark etc. To my Suprise, I was met with a substantial (in my opinion) amount of rolled metal material and metallic material in the oil. I took pictures and videos and decided to continue to change the oil every 2,000 miles to document changes. Currently the vehicles last oil change was at 25,000 miles and there is still a concerning amount of metallic material and occasionally rolled pieces of metal during oil changes.
I purchased the vehicle 3/31/2022, & it left with recalls. I brought it BacK with 48hr, as the check engine light turn on, also the tires, dashboard, and overall the screen. Its been left at the dealer and no results. Also it has affected my life as a disabled handicap person as I'm unable to get to and from doctor appointment etc including to transport my scooter or wheel chair. its a nightmare. I came to purchase a car and was given a "lemon". with only 12miles purchased. I was directed by finance department to proceed with this matter for a resolution as we resolve this matter. The vehicle has been a problematic problem from the start. Definitely not standing firm on the customer Hyundai core value & warranty. The car is at the dealer and I'm temporally with a loaner on which I need to know all my option before we proceed. This is a very serious matter on which Hyundai is fully aware & infant they directed me to this process. My life was at risk as I was told to keep a car that is unreliable with a donut tire without repair. I felt as if I could've die if something was to happen to me within a week until service still count fix the tires as I was placed in jeopardy of my life & kids during Labor Day weekend.. Driving an unsafe vehicle. I was in concern since day 1!
On 3/8/22 between 5:10 pm ET and 5:45 PM ET, I was traveling to a destination with a friend following behind me in her vehicle. Later, when it was dark, we traveled back to our homes. She followed me again until the location that we parted to head in different directions. After arriving home, she messaged me to state that my "tail lights kept going on and off the whole way" to our destination. She also stated "They were fine on the way home though in the dark". I'm unsure if my vehicle was part of the 12 vehicles recalled for lighting issues/reflashing, but if it is, it didn't work, or if it wasn't, the recall may not have covered everything.
I was in a turning lane & a driver swerved in front of me. My car is equipped with auto start stop and it was on. I slammed on my brakes and the engine turned off. When I tried to start restart the car there was a fluttering/grinding noise. Turned off the key and restarted the car. Dangerous in the intersection with a stalled car. At the dealer now but not optimistic. Annoying to have to turn off feature each time.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Since February of this year, a few weeks after I purchased this car the center console has to be replaced...it is on order to be replaced since April due to rear camera malfunction (Hyundai of Bowie, submitted BBB complaint). A few weeks ago the emergency brake initiates randomly. And yesterday the Engine light is on. Yes available upon request How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I'm unable to see cars or people when in reverse. While taking off from a parked position, the emergency brake comes on and can cause me to crash or stop suddenly forcing someone to crash into the back of me. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, took the truck for repair back in April, still unresolved (center console), no response from them after they supposedly ordered the replacement part. The emergency brake issue just started. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? NO Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, the rear camera would show previous images on the camera or green screen with lines. When the emergency brake comes on without being initiated by me, other lights come on as well. Now (10/24/22) the engine light is on!
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle was intermittently decelerating and was unable to accelerate to exceed 42 MPH, despite depressing the accelerator pedal. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact made a local dealer aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000.
At highway speed engine began stumbling and shaking car and stalled the car within 5 seconds bring car to halt. Engine would not restart properly, would not settle at idle rpm with rapidly inconsistent rpm shaking the car and then stall within 5 seconds. Any attempt to place car in drive immediately stalls car. After attempting 50-60 bump starts to get car off road the check engine light and error message about engine control system error eventually showed. Hyundai towing refused to take inoperable car to dealership for warranty repair of 1000mi car, instead left it at our apt parking lot. The engine failure left the driver and other motorists in danger as unable to move stranded car off 50mph busy main road on cold dark snowy evening. Dealer reports they are “swamped” with repairs and cannot see an inoperable car for at least 2-3 weeks and no loaners or rental could be provided. There were no warning lights or warning during initial stall or subsequent restarts. Error message and check engine light did not light until attempting 50-60 bump starts trying to get car off road and a hazard to occupants and other motorists.
The car will accelerate, but not beyond a speed of 20 - 30 MPH. The issue is intermittent, one happens in January 2022 and another one happens in Feb 2022. The issue happens after parking overnight, and the issue will go away after restarting the car. No-fault light shows up. The problem has not been reproduced by a dealer since it is intermittent. The issue is reported to the manufacturer, but no actions from the manufacturer have been taken. The issue does pose a safety risk to me and other road traffics since the problem may happen anytime on driving.
The component that failed are the visibility with headlights being completely snow packed and covered in a snow storm. The lights themselves did not fail, but the design causes snow to get stuck over all the headlights, which continues building to a point where 99%+ of light blocked. This has occurred numerous times since owning the car, easily 20+ times. VERY dangerous, oncoming cars will flash their headlights because the Tucson headlights are completely covered. Visibility is greatly decreased. Have to pull over multiple times driving in snow storms to break the snow and ice free from the headlights, only to build up again once driving. This puts not only our lives, but other drivers lives at risk. Just imagine driving in winter conditions, at night, with no headlights. Mentioned to dealer, but not documented anywhere and was not given any serious consideration. At that point we were focused on trying to get the power loss/hesitation and extremely rough shifting fixed. Big design flaw with the combination of headlights built into the grill, and with new technology, the lights must not get hot enough to melt the snow. Anyone who thinks that driving in a snow storm, at night, and no headlights isn't a huge safety issue or that this is exaggerated, I invite you to come take a ride with us this winter.
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, the contact was unable to move the gear shifter. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and diagnosed as a failure with the shifter cable. The dealer indicated that the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 2,000.
The contact owned a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at 5 mph, the accelerator pedal was stuck and the vehicle made a roaring sound. The brake pedal was depressed but the brakes failed to engage and the vehicle crashed into two trucks and then crashed into a church where it stopped. All of the air bags deployed upon impact. The contact sustained an injury to her chest from the air bag deployment but did not receive medical treatment. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed totaled by the insurance company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.
I purchased my Hyundai Tuscon Limited Saturday 10/30/21 and during the day its perfect at night the headlights produce a black shawdow on the driver side headlight. I am now nervous to drive my vehicle at night due to causing an accident. The visibility in the road from the blind spot has mimicked something black crossing the road and slammed my breaks on thinking I was going to hit an animal or something. It causes visibility issues that are a safety hazard. The dealership can't seem to see what I see or don't have any information on this issue. But if you go to https://www.hyundai-forums.com/threads/2022-tucson-headlight-problem-black-void-shadow-on-driver-side.677546/ Many are having the same issue, no warning lights or anything its a defect in the headlights
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, she collided with an Elk. The engine caught fire and the vehicle was engulfed in the flames. The driver was able to exit the vehicle safely. The contact stated that prior to the crash, the check engine warning indicator light was illuminated. The air bags failed to deploy. There were no reported injuries. A police report was filed. The fire department extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed to an independent lot. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.
Bought car new, since bought car it has had burning smell after drivers at time. Never got this when trying out the car and I found the car diagnosis has 4 issues that related to chassis at 0mi. But dealership said that was not an issues.
The headlights on the 2022 Hyundai Tucson are a road safety hazard and should be outlawed from US roadways. Turning on the headlights creates a dark shadow covering over half of the windshield from top to bottom with a triangle at the bottom of shadow at each end. The triangles can be seen on each headlight lens. Driving the Tucson at night is like wearing a pair of dark sunglasses. The bottom of the shadow moves with every movement of the vehicle which is distracting hazardous, hypnotizing and not safe. If I would have driven this vehicle at night, I would not have purchased it.
Wireless Apple Carplay disconnects randomly causing loss of onscreen maps and turn by turn directions. Hands free phone calls are also dropped. This creates a very dangerous, not to mention annoying situation when driving in busy traffic and depending on the map guidance. It has caused me to take my attention off the road trying to get the system to reconnect so I do not miss an exit or turn. Many others with the same make/model vehicle are complaining of this same defect on the internet. Today it happened 20-30 times on a 3hr trip. Most times it reconnects on its own after a some time. Sometimes I have to manually hard reboot the infotainment system to get it back. I have been to the dealer and have called Hyundai care. No one seems to know what the issue is. They just kind of give me the runaround. The dealer admitted there is a problem but had no solution. Carplay is supposed to make driving safer by putting your phone GPS etc on the car screen for safe hands free operation. These disconnects are going to get someone killed.
I was driving on the highway and as I was slowing down for the slower traffic ahead the car started jerking and then the gas pedal wouldn’t cause the car to accelerate. I had to cross several lanes of traffic not being able to accelerate to get to the breakdown lane but could not get all the way off the highway. I believe that the issue was with the engine or brakes. There was a smell of burning in the car so I turned off the engine as soon as I got over as far as possible. I was afraid to try to turn on the engine because is smelled like something was burning. I had to sit partially in the highway with cars speeding by rushing to get out of my lane to avoid crashing into me while I called emergency service. The car was towed to the nearest dealership and I am awaiting the results of the inspection results from the dealership. There were no warnings or lights that I noticed prior to this incident.
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while his wife was at a standstill, she depressed the accelerator pedal however, the vehicle failed to move forward for several seconds. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated he had also experienced the failure on multiple occasions. The contact took the vehicle several times to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the cause of the failure. The manufacturer has been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 500.
Before even reaching 3,000 miles, the engine in this brand new vehicle overheated in very normal driving conditions (under 80 mph on straight, flat interstate in 60-70 degree sunny weather). The dealership technician determined that the engine overheated and the water pump was severely damaged due to the compressor bolts not being tightened correctly during the manufacturing process at the factory.
Dear all, I bought the 2022 Hyundai Tusan SUV on June 16th, 2021. Since then, the car engine has been turn off more than 20 times, causing problems that require restarting. When I stop at the traffic light while driving and start, the car will turn off and I have to take off my car key and wait in 30 seconds and turn on the car again. Nowadays, The brakes were not applied because the engine was turned off while driving. At that time, my driving speed was around 15mph because I exited from a HWY. I think the engine issue is occurred when the engine rpm is low. I took a video of the engine turn off issue. Thank you,
Nothing happened...yet. Has the NHTSA noticed how several new Hyundai vehicles, as well as a few Infiniti and Toyota vehicles, have turn signals mounted on the rear bumper? This is ridiculous and should be UNACCEPTABLE. There's absolutely no reason turn signals and reverse lamps can't be mounted where the stop and tail lamps are mounted. It's nearly impossible to see turn signals on the bumper. PLEASE CONSIDER A HEIGHT MANDATE FOR REAR TURN SIGNALS AND REVERSE LAMPS. And, if possible, also consider a mandate for *bright* side repeater signals, amber rear signals, and a height requirement for front signals as well. It's about time that North America joined the rest of the world in these mandates. Thank you!!!
i bought this 2022 tucson from pohanka hyundai in capitol heights MD , after less than a month i started feeling harsh shifting in the transmission i looked underneath the vehicle and noticed immediately a red oil dripping from the transmission i took it back to the dealership and they told me you can drive it until we order a new transmission from hyundai !!! ignoring any safety concern i have , i refused to drive it like that and asked for a replacement for the car and after tons of fighting they agreed to give me a new car , i am reporting this incident to get you familiar with that kind of cars because maybe bunch of tucsons have the same issue and i am the only one detect it
Purchased a new 2022 SUV Tucson on 5/22/21. While driving on a busy street 6/7/21 during work traffic the vehicle just cut off without warning. With horns blaring I managed to coast to the right blocking traffic leaving one lane open for moving traffic. Vehicle after a couple of tries would start but would not move when gear was placed in Drive or Reverse. Hyundai Roadside Assistance notified vehicle towed to closest Hyundai Dealership. This was dangerous vehicles were almost running into the back of my SUV while abruptly stopping. I exited the vehicle while waiting for the tow truck in fear of vehicle being hit placing myself and others at risk of an accident. Informed by Asst. Service Manager at Hyundai Dealership that no one was trained to work on the 2022 TUCSONs at the Dealership. As a Public Safety measure at least some employees at each dealership should be trained to work on all newly released vehicles before they are placed on the market. Notified on June 15, 2021 that the vehicle has a limp mode/ limp node problem. June 16, 2021 I was informed by Hyundai dealership that the 22 TUCSON has a mechanical defect, transmission fluid was leaking which now the Transmission needs to be replaced. The newly purchased vehicle currently has only around 370 miles on it. I thought vehicles go through an inspection before leaving factory and after they reach the dealership before being sold. This I consider to be another safety issue anything can happen during transport. A repurchase/buyback from Hyundai wasn't approved. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Vehicle is ready and will be picked up from the dealership requesting an invoice of the repair work completed for viewing. This vehicle could have caused a catastrophic deadly occurrence
The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while self-inspecting the vehicle, he became aware that the moldings on the roof had detached. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V038000 (Structure). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200.
Had my car scanned it said air control unit. With that light on if I have a collision my ai bags won't deploy and my safety belts will not lock.
