The contact owns a 2013 Infiniti G37. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the air bag warning light illuminated and remained illuminated while driving. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the OCS needed to be replaced; however, the contact was advised that the passenger’s side front seat also needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and offered to reduce the replacement cost of the seat. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.
On August 6, 2025, I purchased a 2013 Infiniti G37 from Auto Quality Corp. The total amount paid was $4,700 with a pending balance of $1000. I was given the car turned on and was not present when the car was turned on. Upon leaving the dealership and arriving to my destination, I turned off the car. Once I was ready to get back on the road, the car failed to turn on again. The vehicle is failing to start and is now inoperable. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle due to the major concerns that are showing up. The vehicle is not functional. The car stopped working entirely within the same day of purchase, and I am now left with a non-operational vehicle. The odometer has discrepancies. The bill of sale shows 82,521 miles, but this does not match the information in the vehicle history reports. Also, I was not made of aware, until I signed the bill of sale, that the Airbags checkbox is marked as unknown. This raises serious safety concerns, especially since I suspect the vehicle may not even be equipped with functioning airbags. The Dealer also refuses to cooperate. I contacted them the same day I was sold the vehicle and did not answer the phone calls. I had to get a ride and go physically to the office to state my complaint. I want to return the car and request a full refund due to safety and misrepresentation issues. However, they refused to accept a return or provide any refund. The vehicle was sold "as-is" but I know the sale involved fraud and omitted critical safety information that would have affected my decision to purchase. I am requesting that your office investigate this dealer for potential violations of Florida law regarding vehicle sales, odometer fraud, and failure to disclose critical safety information.

The air bag sensor and lights indicated that the passenger side air bag was not operating. We took the vehicle to the Infiniti Dealer and they did a diagnostic test and determined that the sensor in the passenger seat was not working. We were told that in the event of a collision that the air bags in the entire car would not deploy if the passenger air bag was not replaced. In order to have operating air bags the passenger seat would need to be replaced. The cost of the seat was 7,452.84 and the labor was 525.00. This repair was completed on 12/13/2021. It is now 7/18/23 and the passenger air bag light is now illuminated again. This repair is past the one year warranty. My wife is the only driver of this vehicle and rarely has anyone using the front passenger seat. There was a recall (number 08v522100) for this same issue fir 2007/08 G models. Please investigate this safety issue before someone is seriously injured due to this failure.
My son was driving the car and someone failed to yield in a roundabout and hit him. The passenger side curtain airbag deployed and popped. Now he has ringing in his ear and possible ear drum damage. Doctors appointment is scheduled to confirm that.
Occupancy airbag sensor went on in vehicle and dealer stated that it would be about $5200 to fix the sensor as it is built into the seat. Per Dealer- safety hazard not to fix as its not guaranteed to go off in case of an accident.
Brought my car in to fix a/c auto amp behind radio cause fuel gauge was not giving correct readings.. 2 days after receiving vehicle my airbag light turned on and is blinking and Infiniti won’t take responsibility and saying they have to fix diag sensor in center console which is 2400 dollars and if that don’t fix issue they have to replace passenger seat cushion which is 5000 dollars which is on back order and may not even be able to get part at all cause they don’t make part anymore. so I have a vehicle that I’m still paying on that will never pass inspection and it’s very upsetting that I have to take such a huge loss like this and don’t know how Infiniti is getting away with this when it should be recall.. I looked up on forums and seen dozens of complaints from ppl about the same exact issue specially after having the a/c auto amp fixed.. I also contact state and recall and they said that’s not right but they needs more complaints to do basic investigation..I really hope something gets done about this
The contact owns a 2013 Infiniti G37. The contact stated the passenger’s side air bag warning light had been illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the air bag system needed to be replaced; however, the contact was informed that replacing the system might not fix the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 136,000.
2013 INFINITI G37. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO ILLUMINATED AIR BAG LIGHT. THE CONSUMER STATED A LOCAL MECHANIC ADVISED THE SENSOR LOCATED INSIDE THE PASSENGER SEAT MALFUNCTIONED. THE ENTIRE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT THE EXPENSE OF THE OWNER.
My 2013 Infiniti G37 convertible has under 30,000 miles. The seat belt light/airbag warning light started flashing and did not turn off after seat belts were fastened. I called the Mobile, AL Infiniti dealer to get an appointment. They suggested because this was a saftey issue and they were so backed up that I take the vehicle to a Nissan dealer, which I did. The service department informed me that the sensor in the lower seat assemble was bad ad needed to be replaced (part number 87300JJ84A). They then told me they did not have the labor cost yet but the part was over $8300. I started researching this problem on the internet and found this was common problem with many of the Nissan products.
Passenger air bag sensor is faulty, Infiniti suggested the only replacement is a new $8000 seat.
The airbag light on the dash was flashing. The airbag light that indicates the passenger airbag is not on stays on even if a person is sitting in the passenger seat. This means that the airbag is not active when there is someone sitting in the passenger seat. If I got into an accident and the passenger airbag did not deploy, it could cause serious bodily injury to the passenger. The cost to repair is more than half of what the car is worth. In the picture, you can see the second item in the list is to replace the passenger seat sensor.
Approximately 2 months ago, the air bag warning light on the dash started flashing along with the icon on the front display warning about the passenger side airbag being off. There was no person sitting in the seat, nor was there any small items on the passenger seat. I looked up online how to reset the dash warning light and this worked up until about one week ago. Also, when someone now sits in the passenger seat, the warning light starts flashing along with the front display warning of the passenger side airbag being off. This would seem like a manufacturer defect and a safety hazard for any front passenger in my vehicle.
PASSENGER AIR BAG CONSTANTLY BLINKS. AFTER LOOKING UP THIS ISSUE I SEE MANY HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR MODEL AND PRIOR YEAR MODELS.
The air bag warning light for the passenger air bag on my 2013 Infiniti G37 is constantly flashing on my dash and the passenger air bag off message is always on in my vehicle, even when my wife is sitting in the seat, and I have not had an accident. The light just started flashing on its own approximately 6 months ago. This would seem to me to be a legitimate safety issue. If I were in an accident, regardless of whose fault, and my wife was in the passenger's seat, she could sustain serious injuries due to the fact that the passenger air bag did not deploy due to a faulty sensor.
PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR FAILED AND RESULTS IN A $7000 FIX. THEIR SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM IS A BRAND NEW SEAT. MY SON EXITED THE VEHICLE AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT STARTED BLINKING AND NOW DOESN'T STOP, WHICH MEANS THE AIRBAG ISN'T ON. ALSO, ONE OF THE MOTORS RESPONSIBLE FOR A FLAP WHICH FOLDS THE TOP DOWN HAS FAILED, MAKING THE TOP STOP HALFWAY DOWN. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP HAS FOUR MOTORS (ONE FOR EACH FLAP). AND IT'S NEARLY $2000 PER MOTOR. THE PART IS BACK ORDERED, SO IT MAKES ME THINK IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM. BOTH OF THESE ISSUES ARE COMMONLY REPORTED BY G37 OWNERS ON THE INTERNET.
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT FLASHING. TOOK TO DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. SERVICE ADVISOR STATED FAULTY PASSENGER SENSOR, COST TO REPAIR $7,388.00 + TAX AND SERVICE FEES. BECAUSE OF FAULTY SENSOR, AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT. REPAIR COST UNREASONABLE FOR REQUIRED SAFETY FEATURE. *TR
PASSENGER AIRBAG OCCUPANCY SENSOR FAILS RANDOMLY WITH PASSENGER WEIGHING 130+ POUNDS PROPERLY POSITION IN THE SEAT AND THE CAR IN MOTION ON HIGHWAYS, AND CITY STREETS. THE PROBLEM IS INDICATED BY THE "AIRBAG OFF" LIGHT REMAINING LIT WHILE A PASSENGER WEIGHING 130+ POUNDS IS PROPERLY POSITIONED IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. TURNS, SPEED, AND ROAD CONDITION DON'T SEEM TO ALTER THE OUTCOME.
