Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)The vehicle needs a completely new engine and I had made it known that I want to trade in the vehicle the very next day but was told that I need to wait until 30 days has past. I have reached out to the Loan institution and have documentation provided below of that INFINITI database in November of 2023 that this same vehicle needed a new engine. Both my children were hospitalized for breathing in these toxic vapors that were released from the tailpipe of the vehicle to which HGREG said they resolved and did not, as soon as vehicle started up the whole dealership came outside thinking someone's vehicle was on fire. Both my children are age 2 1/2 and 11 months old. Both were on breathing treatments due to the level of carbon monoxide released in vehicle while driving.
While there is no specific incident, the hood latch does not open the hood of the car. I noticed this for the first time on 3/19/2022 when I tried to fill the car with windshield washer fluid. I'm also not confident that the hood is latched safely. Please advise!!
WHILE DRIVING ON A CLEAR STRETCH OF INTERSTATE (NOT NEAR AN UNDERPASS OR TRUCKS OR OTHER CARS) THE SUNROOF EXPLODED. IT MADE A SOUND LIKE A GUN, GLASS CAME INTO THE CAR BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE THE SHADE CLOSED. THERE WAS NO INDICATION ANYTHING HIT THE SUNROOF. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND INFINITI COVERED THE REPAIR UNDER THE WARRANTY. UPON INVESTIGATION THIS ISSUE APPEARS TO BE SYSTEMIC IN NEWER VEHICLES. IT WAS VERY FRIGHTENING TO MY 11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND MYSELF. WE WERE NOT INJURED AND THE LOCAL INFINITI DEALER STATED THAT HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS. IT WAS A SUNNY CLEAR DAY.
