WHILE DRIVING OVER 55 MPH THERE WAS SEVERE VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL. DEALER TOLD THE CONSUMER TO PUT DIFFERENT RIMS AND TIRES ON THE VEHICLE. CONSUMER REPLACED THE TIRES AND RIMS, BUT THE PROBLEM RECURRED. *AK
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 JAGUAR X-TYPE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT PRESSURE BEING APPLIED TO THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN. SHE SWAYED ACROSS THE ROAD AND CRASHED INTO THE CURB TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED AND TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR REPAIRS. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS PRIOR TO THIS FAILURE. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS NOTIFIED OF THIS INCIDENT. RECENTLY, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AT LOW MILEAGE AND HAS NOT YET BEEN REPLACED. THE VIN WAS VERIFIED, BUT APPEARS TO BE INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 31,000.
WHEN REAR SIDE WINDOWS ARE OPENED WHILE DRIVING IT CAUSES SEVERE VIBRATION, AND A SEVERE NOISE FOR REAR PASSENGERS. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED. FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
STEERING COLUMN SHIMMIED WHEN DEPRESSING BRAKE; STEERING COLUMN MADE RUBBING NOISE; TWO TIRES BLEW OUT; ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION LIGHT TURNED ON; POOR FM RECEPTION; FRONT SEATS ROCK. MR
THE GEARBOX FAILURE LIGHT ILLUMINATES WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN OUT IN THE WET. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE HEAVY OR EVEN RAINING FOR THIS TO OCCUR. ONCE THIS OCCURS THE GEARBOX FAILS TO RESPOND AS IT SHOULD. THE CAR WILL REV, BUT THE GEARBOX DOESN'T RESPONSD, CONSEQUENTLY IT CAN LEAVE YOU STRANDED ON THE HIGHWAY, AND YOU THEN HAVE TO COAST YOUR CAR TO THE HARD SHOULDER.
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES VEHICLE WILL NOT STOP ,IT WILL KEEP GOING WITH A SURGE OF POWER. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER CONTACTED. *AK *TS
TWICE SUN ROOF DID NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY. DEALER COULD NOT FIND CAUSE OF PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.*AK
PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DOES NOT SEEM TO ACCOMADATE PEOPLE THAT WEIGH LESS THAN 130 POUNDS OR LESS.*MR THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE SYSTEMS WAWS PERFORMING AS DESIGNED. THE CONSUMER BELIEVES TEH DEALER SHOULD DISCLOSE THE FACT THAT THE SYSTEM MAY NOT WORK WHEN PEOPLE OF A CERTAIN WEIGHT ARE IN THE SEAT. *NM
WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THEY FAILED, HAD TO PUMP BRAKES TO STOP VEHICLE. DEALER CONTACTED.*JB
THE AIRBAG ELECTRONIC MODULE IS NOT PROPERLY, VEHICLE WILL NOT GIVE INFORMATION ON PASSENGER WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS TO ACTIVATE THE SYSTEM. *MJ
THE CONSUMER STATES THESE ARE PROBLEMS THAT HAVE COME ABOUT IN THE SHORT TIME THAT THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN POSSESSION, AND THEY ARE AS FOLLOWED: THE REPLACEMENT OF A FAULTY GEAR SELECTOR LEVER, THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ENTIRE DRIVE SHAFT. THE DIFFERENTIAL WAS COMPLETELY REPLACED IN JULY, AND REPLACED AGAIN IN OCTOBER. THIS WAS DONE TO GET RID OF THE VEHICLES HIGH PITCHED WHINING NOISE THAT REMAINS EVEN AFTER THE SECOND REPLACEMENT. *SCC
TWICE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO BACK INTO A PARKING PLACE, CONSUMER PUT FOOT ON BRAKE WHEN VEHICLE FLEW FOWARD INTO A PARKED CAR. CONSUMER STATES FOOT WAS NOT ON ACCELERATOR. TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE BLACK BOX REPORTED THAT BOTH BRAKE PEDAL AND GAS PEDAL WERE PRESSED AT THE SAME TIME. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. PH *TS
ON 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE PARK GEAR. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED A SWITCH WHEN THE PROBLEM FIRST OCCURRED. ALSO AT 26,000 WHILE DRIVING ALL GAUGES ON THE DASHBOARD SUDDENLY WENT TO ZERO. THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINED THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. *JB
