NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
Data synced from NHTSA on May 4, 2026
The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving 45 MPH, the message “Turn off Air Conditioner - Engine Overheating” was displayed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was determined that the water pump and wiring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000.

My 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk (Active Drive II / Sales Code DK4) has a confirmed DTC C14A7-97, indicating the PTU Motor is obstructed or blocked. This has resulted in a "Service 4WD" warning and a complete loss of all-wheel-drive capability. My vehicle was manufactured in November 2013, and I am being denied the XJ1 Extended Warranty (15 years/unlimited miles) because my VIN does not appear in the dealer's system, despite the vehicle being a 2014 model year with the exact failure code the XJ1 program was designed to address. This failure can lead to a sudden loss of drive power while in motion and a loss of the "Park" function, creating a significant rollaway risk. These are the same safety hazards identified in NHTSA Recall 20V-343 (W47). I am requesting that NHTSA investigate why 2014 model year vehicles with 2013 build dates are excluded from the XJ1 warranty extension for this known safety defect.
The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that water was leaking into the vehicle from the sunroof, causing the parking brake to become inoperable. The “Service Parking Brake” warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the parking brake failed to function properly and failed to disengage as needed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was determined that the parking brake actuator had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 68,000.
While driving less than one mile from my residence, my 2014 Jeep Cherokee suddenly displayed a warning related to shifting, followed immediately by a complete loss of engine power. The vehicle shut off without warning while in motion. At the time of the incident, the dashboard displayed the messages: “Shift to desired gear” and intermittently “Service Shifter.” I was able to safely maneuver the vehicle to the side of the road; however, this incident has now occurred multiple times, consistently in the same general location and under normal driving conditions. The sudden loss of power creates a serious safety hazard, particularly given the lack of warning and potential for this to occur in higher-speed traffic conditions. This issue appears consistent with known problems involving the transmission wiring harness and shifting system in this vehicle model. Immediate investigation and corrective action are warranted to prevent potential accidents or injuries.

PTU Failure on 2015 Jeep Cherokee
I have a safety recall 49A on my 2014 Jeep Cherokee I took it in for the recall on 03/03/2026, my trunk was working perfectly fine before I had to recall done on it and now my trunk doesn’t work at all
i have a 2014 jeep cherokee trailhawk. the service 4wheel drive light keeps popping u. a recall needs to be put on this year, make and model. its a known issue that jeep has not addressed at all
There have been many documented incidents regarding these transmissions on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. The transmission are junk in these and have been recalled because of splines and clutches. Please get back to me on this issue.
My car is safely in my driveway. It only has 18,000 miles driven. It became stuck in wheel drive, greatly reducing my ability to drive the vehicle. The 2014 Cherokee is known for PTU failures in which the unit overheats or leaks fluid into the electronics, causing the system to lock in 4WD and display "Service 4WD" or "4WD System Unavailable". Will my dealership fix this problem under a past recall?
I am reporting a failure of the remedy for Recall S55 (NHTSA 16V-529). The manufacturer’s authorized repair, a software-update only, failed to correct the underlying hardware defect in the transaxle jumper harness. As a result, the wires in the harness physically melted due to the high electrical resistance as stated in the S55 recall, which caused a total loss of motive power while driving and rendering the vehicle immobile. This created a significant crash risk as we were suddenly left completely immobile and stranded in the middle of busy traffic, not to mention a fire hazard. Prior to the total failure, the vehicle exhibited electrical symptoms including sporadic starting, locks locking and unlocking by itself, improper revolution, and harsh transmission shifting. In addition to the melted wires in the transaxle jumper harness, there is now oil pooling under the vehicle, signaling further critical damage caused from the recalled part's failure. In the aftermath we are now assessing our federal rights to repair from the manufacturer. The dealership and manufacturer claim the recall is 'completed' because of the initial software update, but the physical defect remains and has worsened into a hazardous state. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate the adequacy of the S55 software-only remedy, as it does not prevent the hardware from failing, leaving countless in a dangerous situation. Any help or advice you could provide on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much
I was driving my 2014 Jeep latitude, on the interstate in Maine and the transmission just died. I barely could merge to the right to get out of the way of traffic going 70mph. There is a transmission recall on these isn't there?
No, vehicle just died on highway
While traveling at Highway speed approximately 70 miles an hour vehicles transmission suddenly failed without warning, aesthetically freezing the transmission on the highway I could not step on the gas and the vehicle would not move. This was not a minor inconvenience or a routine mechanical issue this was based on research and many reported transmission tests of this model year transmission and Chrysler knew about it in 2013 even as engineers were trying to fix the problem and they still released the vehicle design flaw in 2014, particularly the transmissions internal clutch systems. This should’ve been recalled by the US government.
The vehicle recently showed an error stating "Service 4WD" which appears to be a known issue with this model of vehicle. When checking the VIN number, it appears this particular vehicle is supposedly not one that has this issue. However with that being said, it is giving the code that is specifically has this issue. The cost to fix this totals more than $4,000 and is known to Chrysler. This vehicle should be covered under the known issue by the manufacturer.
PTU is being replaced because the dealership said it is going to leave me without power to the wheels which can be extremely dangerous on interstate. Took my Cherokee in because the whining that I’ve been hearing for at least three years was getting louder. The component has not been inspected by the manufacturer yet but I’m waiting on a replacement part and is currently on back order and I’m without the vehicle for a prolonged period of time.
I was at a stop took my foot off the break to put it on the gas and we started to move and all of a sudden my emergency brake came on and stopped my car and I could not get it to go and I was in traffic no warning lights nothing it just came on by itself
In November 2025, I recently completed a recall repair to my 2014 Jeep Cherokee (NHSTA #XXX/Jeep #49A). I picked up my Jeep and parked it and did not drive it for several weeks. In December 2025, I rented my 2014 Jeep Cherokee on Turo and within the first 24hrs of driving, the renter contacted me and told me the electronic parking brake malfunctioned when the vehicle was parked, which prevented the car from further operation. I towed the car to a mechanic who confirmed the problem with malfunctioning electronic parking brake (EPB) due to water intrusion in the rear of the vehicle, who then isolated the EPB to enable vehicle operation, and referred me to the Jeep dealership for repair. I retrieved the vehicle and dropped it off at a local Jeep dealership for assessment and repair. The Jeep dealership has confirmed that there is significant water intrusion into the vehicle rear (likely from failing sunroof, as the headliner is also soaked and damaged), where water has collected behind the plastic interior panels; and indicated the EPB module, located in the rear, needs to be replaced. I authorized this replacement/repair which was completed. My research of this issue indicates in addition to the above recall for power tailgate malfunction due to water intrusion, that the defective EPB is also due to water intrusion [XXX] ). I believe this to be highly likely since after owner and operating the vehicle daily for two years and this issue only arising immediately following the power tailgate recall repair INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
In December 2023 encountered a failure of the vehicles Rear Differential Module (RDM). Failure of the RDM on this vehicle poses several significant safety issues, not dissimilar to concerns raised by the failure of the PTU on this vehicle which eventually resulted in a recall by the manufacturer after many reports by owners. Vehicle mileage at this time was 72,829. As this failure occurred outside of the drivetrain warranty offered by Stellantis on this vehicle, I had the defective RDM replaced at my cost (an expensive repair). Then in December 2025 I returned to my Jeep dealer once again with grinding and binding issues from the rear end of the vehicle. Vehicle mileage at this time was 94,500. The dealer initially diagnosed this as a failed driveshaft bearing and a replacement was ordered. It took weeks for this part to arrive at the dealer. The new driveshaft was finally installed on January 26 of 2026 (another costly repair). When I arrived to pick up the vehicle it became immediately apparent that the originally reported issue in December 2025 had not been repaired. The dealer's repair shop performed another diagnosis and subsequently determined that the cause of my reported problem was the RDM. A new RDM was ordered. As the vehicle posed noted safety issues, it was left in the possession of the dealer's repair shop. Weeks later, a second replacement RDM was delivered to the dealer. However, the RDM received by the dealer had a cracked case and could not be installed. Hence, yet another RDM was ordered. Vehicle remains in the possession of the dealer awaiting a third RDM. As was the case with the previously mentioned PTU, there are reports by owners of this vehicle all over the internet of issues with the RDM on this vehicle. I believe the manufacturer should be compelled to execute a recall for these defective RDM units as was the case for the PTU units.
The ptu has failed in my vehicle. When I bought the vehicle there was a 4x4 light on the dash but I was told that it needed to be just turned off by a jeep dealership. But I believe it actually was a symtom of the failing ptu. My vehicle sometimes goes into neutral when I try to pull off from a stop sign and then the vehicle kicks itself back into drive. My coolant and transmission temp rises the more I drive it and transmission seems to shift late or hard and sometimes prematurely sometimes it smells like burning electrical.
Transmission is very jerky and have had this problem since i had it with 111,000 miles. I went to a mechanic and was told it was ptu. Was also checking online and not sure why it isn’t covered but i’ve seen everyone has this problem on this jeep. Really to expensive for me to fix.
November 20 I took my car to Seattle jeep to comply with a NHTSA recall (U90).Few days latter when they finish the repair they created a new problem with the transmission. Now I have a rough or abrupt transmission shifting like being rear ended. The dealer told me: the manufacturer need to fix it because of some flaws in the software calibration or it’s internal components. Seattle jeep it won’t take responsibility for
The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle was serviced under Manufacturer Recall Number: U90 (Catalyst Efficiency Recall). However, recently, there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the rear of the vehicle while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with transmission valve failure. The dealer refused to repair the vehicle and referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance with the software update. The vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under Emissions Recall U90; however, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds or while accelerating from a stop, the vehicle violently downshifted. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that a software update was needed. The vehicle was not repaired and was left at the local dealer. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
While driving, the vehicle shifts itself into neutral and goes into a limp mode with no power. Almost caused a serious accident going 70 mph when it shifted itself into neutral
I purchased this 2014 Jeep Cherokee from Taverna Collection in Feb 2025 and received it in March 2025. The selling dealer was required to inspect the vehicle before delivery and did not report any transmission or valve-body issues. On June 25, 2025, the vehicle received a multipoint inspection at Auto Angel in Santa Fe. No transmission failure, shifting issues, or valve-body concerns were found. The Jeep was not showing symptoms related to Recall U90 at that time. After this, I attempted to have Recall U90 (PCM/TCM reprogramming) performed. Lithia Chrysler in Santa Fe confirmed the recall by email and scheduled an appointment, but after towing the vehicle to them they refused to perform the recall and repeatedly stated “there is no recall,” forcing me to tow the vehicle home and then again two days later to a dealership in Albuquerque. At the Albuquerque dealership, I gave clear instructions not to perform any paid repairs—including a transmission valve-body replacement—until the U90 reflash was completed and confirmed. I never received confirmation. The dealership later claimed they followed protocol but refused to release the WiTECH session report or timestamps showing when the recall work occurred. They told me I could only see documentation after paying $2,600. I contacted FCA/Stellantis. The case manager said her supervisor stated the dealer “followed protocol,” but FCA admitted this was based solely on the dealership’s word. FCA could not confirm whether they reviewed the WiTECH diagnostic session or any recall repair records. Under 49 U.S.C. §30120(i) and 49 CFR Part 576, manufacturers and dealers must retain detailed recall records, including diagnostic data and timestamps, to verify proper recall completion. FCA’s inability or refusal to verify the recall using these required records raises concerns that Recall U90 may not have been performed correctly or in the proper sequence. I request NHTSA review this matter.
The Jeep has a drivetrain defect involving the transmission and power transfer unit (PTU) that has existed since purchase and has progressively worsened over the years. From early on, the vehicle intermittently hesitated when accelerating from a complete stop, followed by sudden surging or lunging forward. Symptoms were reported to a Jeep dealership early after purchase while under warranty. Their inspections did not identify a defect at that time. Over time, the condition worsened and became more frequent, including hesitation on takeoff, bucking, and abnormal behavior when maneuvering at low speeds or turning the steering wheel to full lock in parking lot. This occurs unpredictably and creates a dangerous situation when entering intersections, making left turns across traffic, or merging, because the vehicle does not accelerate when expected and then suddenly surges. The Jeep was taken to an independent mechanic. After inspection and a test drive, the mechanic stated the condition was unsafe and suspected a transfer case issue, recommending that the vehicle be taken to an authorized dealership for further evaluation. After this referral, the Jeep dealership was able to reproduce the problem during a test drive and confirmed hesitation on acceleration, transmission shift issues, and PTU malfunction. The dealership documented that the transmission and PTU require replacement. The vehicle had previously received the manufacturer’s required powertrain recall software update. The dealership stated they could attempt another software relearn or update, but no guarantee it would resolve the issue. No warning lights or dashboard messages prior to or during these events. MOPAR says that the PTU is on national backorder with no ETA. The cost of repair exceeds the value of the vehicle and would be entirely out-of-pocket since the warranty is up, making repair financially impossible. As a result, the owner is left with an unsafe vehicle that cannot be reasonably repaired.
10/20/2025 I was driving my sons car because he told me the car transmission locked up on him while he was driving 65MPH on highway, and sure enough it did it to me. I took it to Davis Moore Jeep Dealership and they told me the TCM needed to be replaced ($1,200.00 out of pocket), so on 10/25/25 the TCM was replaced 10/26/25 we picked car up after work was done and not even 4 miles from dealership the car locked up again, but this time it had to be towed back to dealership. today 11/04/25 dealership told us the PCM is out qand needs replaced and it would be $4k out of pocket. Now this problem happened on the highway at 65MPH and a student driving and could have been bad luckily there was no one on road yet. The TCM and PCM have both had recalls done advising to reprogram both components which have been done and now Jeep Car Care says there is nothing they can do.
Vehicle has been inspected by 2 different mechanics, both confirming our PTU is failing. This is our sons only vehicle; while he was driving the vehicle to and from work, and going to school sometimes the car will start flashing “ESC off” and will stop while he driving. Almost like the car has slammed on its breaks. This has happened while he going 10mph and happened going 40mph, most dangerous time he was driving 65MPH on interstate when it locked up and caused him to slide down a exit ramp. Of course this puts not only him at risk of serious harm or death, but the other drivers on the road if his car decides to slam on its breaks and someone hits since this happens out of nowhere. Again, this issue has been confirmed my two separate independent service centers and two separate dates. The vehicle has not been inspected by manufacturer, insurance representatives, or police except for the two separate mechanics we took our vehicle to. 1 week before this issue began the ESC off button started flashing which we immediately took it to the repair shop a few days later and was diagnosed with a failing PTU. This car is incredibly dangerous to drive and each time we drive it — it feels like a death sentence.
Unknown when taking off from a stop sign it’s has a delay when hitting the gas also when driving down the road it’s like a jerking or feel like transmission jerking or slipping or something it’s does it every time I drive i
We have had the vehicle inspected by 2 different mechanics, first saying the TCM was out now both confirming our PTU is failing. Almost like the car has slammed on its breaks. This has happened while he was going 10mph and happened going 40mph, the last time he was going 65MPH down interstate and car locked up causing him to slide down exit ramp luckily no one was beside him at the time. Of course this puts not only him as risk of serious harm or death, but the other drivers on the road if his car decides to slam on its breaks and someone hits since this happens out of nowhere. 73000 miles. 2014 Jeep. Mechanic reported PTU problem. VIN is not on list of recall. Car "service 4wheel" dashboard light is on. Auto vibrates when driven.
The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the gear shift indicator lights were illuminated, and the message "Service Shifter" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to CarMax, where the contact was informed that no failure was found; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to respond as intended. Upon parking the vehicle in the garage and then starting the vehicle later, the parking brake unintendedly engaged and seized. The vehicle was towed to Dependable Car Care, where it was diagnosed with water intrusion in the parking brake module. The mechanic determined that the parking brake module needed to be replaced, and an electrical connector cleaning was needed. The vehicle was repaired; however, while driving 45 MPH, the failure recurred, causing the vehicle to brake hard. The message "BRAKE" was displayed. The vehicle was pulled over into a parking lot and remained in the parking lot. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 118,072.
We have had the vehicle inspected by 2 different mechanics, both confirming our PTU is failing. My wife and I have a toddler and this is our only vehicle; while we’re driving the vehicle to and from work, and going to get groceries sometimes the car will start flashing “ESC off” and will stop while we’re driving. Almost like the car has slammed on its breaks. This has happened while we’re going 10mph and happened going 40mph. Of course this puts not only us as risk of serious harm or death, but the other drivers on the road if our car decides to slam on its breaks and someone hits since this happens out of nowhere. Car keeps shutting off and the acceleration is bad and transmission doesn’t work as well when i shift gears
Rear tires locked up in reverse. While in gear they lock up randomly. Car shut off and broke down while driving on expressway and lost control. No accident but could’ve been bad. 4x4 light on says svc. Mechanic says shows signs of new safety recall 02C? Talked to Jeep dealership and they weren’t aware of such recall on this model. Need help on who to contact and what to do.
While driving through a local street the car stopped and the message on dash board would inform the driver to put the car in park, turn off the car, and start again. This happened approximately 15 times when approaching stop lights, stop signs or going lowered that 20 miles per hour. This also suggested that battery was low. However, the battery level read normal every time.
Battery drains when vehicle is off and not running. If not fully charged the alternator will overwork and not be able to charge the battery for the length of the drive causing the battery to go dead while driving.
The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the transmission unexpectedly shifted to neutral(N). The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over and turned off and restarted the vehicle and was able to continue driving normally. The contact purchased the vehicle and stated that the failure was a recurring failure. The contact stated that the "Check Battery" warning light recently illuminated when the vehicle was shifted into neutral(N). The contact had taken the vehicle to two independent mechanics who were unable to duplicate the failure. The battery was checked and was operating normally. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V529000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 151,000.
Less then 120000 miles and rear differential unit had to be replaced, and now roughly 158000 miles and now front differential unit has to be replaced.
The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to shift into gear properly with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle jerked while the accelerator was depressed, and the vehicle lunged forward while depressing the brake pedal. The contact also stated that the windshield wipers were inoperable and failed to function while activating the windshield wipers. The contact also stated that the rearview camera inadvertently activated while driving at undisclosed speeds, and the instrument panel failed to function properly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer was where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission control module and windshield wiper motor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.
This vehicle had multiple reprograms for transmission control module and still had same issue I have only had the vehicle 1 year and driven it 7k and I take. It to Jim Browne jeep dealership they said they transmission control module needs replacement the jeep when I brake jumps forward and speeds up its unpredictable and unsafe it also does not shift into gear it slips and I did a search and see. This has been a reoccurring issue .As well as my back up camera appears while I am driving and parked ,or screen just says jeep or goes blue unable to change dash supply control at all ,this vehicle is a lemon and we were not told of any of these issues
Electronic parking brake engages at random. Gauge info shows “P” with a circle warning, as well as “brake” in red. Says “4wd system unavailable”. Parking brake module has water/corrosion at connection terminal. Parking brake switch by gear shifter flashing constantly. Car will drive fine then will not move when attempting to go later, had to leave on side of road until it could be towed recently. Extremely frustrating and upsetting. This needs recalled as dealership says it costs $1000’s and requires reprogramming. Now left with a Jeep I can not drive and can not afford to fix.
Vehicle experienced a sudden no-start condition in July 2025 after being parked for ~2 weeks. Engine cranked briefly, then shut off and displayed a red immobilizer warning. OBD-II scans showed BCM memory faults (B22A9), immobilizer lockout (P0513), CAN-C bus communication errors, and repeated low-voltage codes. Dealer replaced PCM (~$1,550) but vehicle still inoperative. Dealer then determined BCM (Body Control Module, part #68141881AJ) failed, but part has been discontinued by Mopar and is unavailable nationwide. Used BCMs are VIN-locked, leaving no authorized repair path. Vehicle is also subject to NHTSA Recall 23V338000 (power liftgate module electrical short / parasitic drain). My vehicle showed repeated low-voltage events consistent with this defect, which likely corrupted the BCM and immobilizer system. Dealer confirmed recall parts are still backordered. As a result, a 2014 Jeep Cherokee with only ~32,000 miles has been rendered permanently inoperable due to discontinued safety-critical electronics. The defect creates a substantial safety risk because electrical shorts can occur while parked or driving, and owners are left without remedy.
Parking break is in need of service before it is set and won’t be able to get it off.
Last year in 2024 our vehicle started having significant issues with the transmission. We took it to a dealership and through our warranty that we purchased, we were told that the transmission control module had lost its programming but no one understood why. It wasn't covered under our warranty and we paid full price out of pocket for that. Less than a year later we are back with the same issues again where it's not holding on to its programming. It locks itself into neutral when we are driving, it will have surges of power with the battery, and no longer has any emergency braking system. We cannot put the emergency brake on in fact. We lost all of our 4x4 variations such as snow sport and four wheel drive low. Full drive is no longer able to be engaged at all with the transmission. It will not shift in or out of 5th gear which means every time we push on the gas that means it's going to be starting out in 5th gear which is obviously a strain on the transmission. Due to that it has no towing power whatsoever right now. It has shut off completely in the middle of us driving bfore. These issues are causing it to slowly lose it's communication with all of the other modules in the vehicle and the engine itself is no longer communicating with the transmission which makes driving the vehicle almost impossible.
The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the parking brake was engaged and failed to release as needed. The parking brake warning light was illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
I believe this is an issue with the parking brake module. The vehicle tries to shutdown or stalls while driving (in my case at 60 MPH on highway). It literally loses power and I get the disabled parking brake warning on dashboard. Losing driving power and stalling while moving at that speed has been very dangerous and life threatening. When I start the vehicle it acts as if the parking brake is engaged even though it is not.
The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving 30 MPH, the vehicle began to jerk, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and the vehicle stalled. The shift key inoperable message was displayed. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V343000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed and it was determined that the PTU was the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, where it was determined that the transfer case, PTU, and rear differential were leaking. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 124,000.
