The lug nuts have continued to swell over time. They have either fallen off or become close to impossible to remove for the dealer. Dealer stated that it is a known issue, but an official recall has not been executed yet.

My jeep Cherokee have a 4wd warning indication services need. It automatically shifts my power train to snow. Also when in park. The vehicle starts to go to neutral. Please recall this. My car is 2015 Jeep Cherokee trailhawk. I’ve never had an accident and this is either a system glitch or engine issue that can cause damage and injury.
Three of the four tires on the vehicle are splitting on the sidewalk near the rim. The fourth tire is cracking in the same location. All tires are maintained at the correct tire pressure. There’s no reason this shouldn’t be covered but of course it isn’t. Guess someone has to die before Firestone replaces defective tires.

I HAVE WARNING LIGHTS KEEP FLASHING OUT OF CONTROL 3 LIGHTS KEEP STAYING ON THAT IS TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM AND CHECK ENGINE AND START STOP SYSTEM , PUT A CODE READER ON VEHICLE AND IT SAYS TRANSMISSION MODULE MY CAR WILL REV UP WHILE I N GEAR HESITATE AND THEN JERK REAL FAST AND START GOING SUPER FAST WITHOUT MY FOOT ON GAS. WHEN I SHIFT THE GEARS INTO REVERSE FROM PARK OR PUT IN PARK IT MAKES A LOUD CLUNK NOISE AND SHIFTS HARD. THE TECHNICIAN APPLIED AMPLE FORCE TO REMOVE THE LOG NUTS. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT IT WAS UNUSUAL FOR ALL THE LUG NUTS TO FAIL AT THE SAME TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 111,000. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A 19 MILLIMETER SOCKET WAS USED ON A NORMAL LUG NUT, BUT IT DID NOT GRASP IT PROPERLY. THE NEXT SIZE UP WAS TOO BIG DUE TO THE DUST ON THE LUG NUTS. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WERE REDESIGNING THE LUG NUTS FROM ONE YEAR TO THE NEXT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS CURRENTLY NO RECALL FOR THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.
LEFT REAR RIM BLEW WITHOUT HITTING ANYTHING AS CHRYSLER HAS ASSUMED WE HAVE DONE. THE RIM BLEW WHILE DRIVING ON AN OFF RAMP TO INTERSTATE. THERE IS NO TIRE DAMAGE AND CHRYSLER MAINTAINS THAT WE HIT SOMETHING (POTHOLE OR SOMETHING ELSE). THE RIM HAS SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. WE BELIEVE THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE RIM AND CHRYSLER REFUSES TO ADMIT TO THIS. AFTER REVIEWING SEVERAL ONLINE COMPLAINTS, WE CAN SEE OTHER CUSTOMERS HAVE ENCOUNTERED THE SAME THING.
