I WAS SLOWLY PULLING THROUGH A STOP LIGHT (STOP AND GO TRAFFIC UP TO IT). JEEP SUDDENLY LOST POWER OF ALL KINDS - STALLED ENGINE, NO EMERGENCY FLASHERS, NO RADIO, NOTHING. TRIED TO TURN KEY & RESTART IT A # OF TIMES BUT IT WAS DEAD. AMBULANCE DROVE BY, STOPPED & PUSHED ME OUT OF THE ROAD. AS THEY WERE PUSHING ME, ELECTRICAL CAME BACK ON. SO I TRIED TO TURN KEY AGAIN AND CAR STARTED. **I AM PRETTY CONFIDENT THAT MY KNEE DID NOT TOUCH THE KEY- I AM TOO SHORT FOR THAT AND ALSO THE CAR WOULD NOT RESTART ONCE STALLED- I TURNED KEY MANY TIMES TO TR AND GET OUT OF THE ROAD AND CAR REMAINED DEAD/POWERLESS. TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN, I CALLED BACK IN LATE 2014 ABOUT A PROBLEM I WAS HAVING, I WAS TOLD THAT WHEN THE PART WAS MADE I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL TO BRING MY CAR IN TO BE FIXED. WELL IT KEEPS ON HAPPENING AGAIN IN JANUARY AND NOW MORE THEN THREE TIME IN FEBRUARY. I AM NOW GOING TO BE IN CONTACT WITH A LAWYER AND TOGETHER WE WILL BE DOCUMENTING EVERYTHING. I AM A FAMILY OF FIVE AND MY CAR IS NOT SAFE. YOUR COMPANY IS GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND AND IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. THESE THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING WITH MY CAR IS FILED FROM THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION WITH RECALL REPORT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: IGNITION: SWITCH AND REAR SEAT BELTS. MY CAR KEEPS ON SHUTTING OFF. I HAVE HAD MYSELF AND MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED. I SAVED US TOO MANY TIMES. THERE HAS BEEN TIMES WHEN MY CAR SHUT DOWN AND I LOST BREAKS AND STEERING. THERE WAS MULTI TIMES WHEN I AM DRIVING AND ALL OF MY LIGHTS START GOING CRAZY. NOW I HAVE A PROBLEM THAT I TRIED STARTING MY CAR AND THE LIGHTS GO ON BUT MY IGNITION WILL NOT TURN ON THE CAR. ANOTHER PHONE CALL WAS MADE TO THE CORPORATE OFFICE AND THE DEALERSHIP TO COMPLAIN AGAIN. WE WHERE TOLD THAT THEY ARE STILL WAITING FOR THE PARTS TO COME IN THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER. EVERY DAY I HAVE TO DRIVE THIS CAR WITH AND WITHOUT MY CHILDREN WE ARE AT RISK. YOUR RESPONSIBLE, I HAVE HAD TWO OTHER JEEPS AND LOVED THEM NEVER HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS BEFORE. SAFETY RECALL N23. I TOOK THIS VEHICLE IN FOR THE RECALL IN APRIL 2014. I WAS TOLD THE RECALL HAD ALREADY BEEN PERFORMED & NO WORK WAS NEEDED. THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME A DATE OF THE PREVIOUS UPDATE FOR THIS RECALL. SO THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED ON MY VEHICLE AT SOME TIME. NOW I HAVE A CONSTANT ERROR FLASHING "SERVICE 4WD SYSTEM." THIS VEHICLE ALSO HAS NO WORKING 4WD LOW. I FEEL THIS IS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT WAS USED FOR THIS RECALL. I DO NOT FEEL THAT A SOFTWARE UPDATE WILL CORRECT A CRACKED OR DAMAGED CIRCUIT BOARD. *TR

JEEP STARTED MAKING A TICKING NOISE RANDOMLY ONE DAY. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY EXPLAINED THE THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS WERE BROKEN ON BOTH SIDES. VERY STRANGE CONSIDERING THAT MY JEEP HAVE NEVER BEEN OFF-ROAD. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH IT HAS BECOME VERY OBVIOUS THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH ALL OF THE CHRYSLER VEHICLES WITH THE 4.7L V8. THE COMPANY DOESN'T TRY TO HELP WITH THE COST AND ACTUALLY CHARGES AN ASTRONOMICAL AMOUNT TO REPAIR SOMETHING THAT I CONSIDER BAD ENGINEERING ON THEIR PART. THE BROKEN BOLTS CAUSE AN EXHAUST LEAK THAT CAN NOW BE DETECTED WITHIN THE CAR AND I THINK IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS FOR THE PASSENGERS. WITH THE BOLTS BROKEN IT ALSO ALLOWS THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO WARP CAUSE ADDITION DAMAGE THAT NOW NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED/REPLACED. *TR
AS I DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY I CAN BE GOING BETWEEN 40-60 MPH AND IF I LET OFF THE GAS AND JUST COAST AND THEN GIVE IT GAS AGAIN ITS LIKE IT IS IN NEUTRAL AND IT CONTINUES TO DO THIS UNTIL THE CAR IS GOING 20 MPH OR UNDER AND IT IS VERY DANGEROUS IT HAS CAUSED ME TO ALMOST HAVE SEVERAL WRECKS AND I HAVE 5 KIDS WHICH WERE WITH ME IN THE CAR EACH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE! *TR

THIS IS A BIG CONCERN AND A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE FOR US. WE HAVE CONTACTED OUR ATTORNEY TO SEE WHERE WE GO FROM HERE. AT THIS POINT IN GOOD CONSCIENCE WE COULDN'T EVEN SELL THE VEHICLE! MY JEEP COMMANDER TURNED OFF, CAUSING MY BRAKES TO FAIL ALONG WITH STEERING AND AIRBAGS TO FAIL. I CRASHED INTO THE BACK OF SOMEONE TOWING A PONTOON BOAT. THE TOTAL COST OF DAMAGE WAS OVER $7,000. MY VEHICLE IS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER THAT I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS ISSUES WITH EVEN THOUGH IT ONLY HAS ABOUT 78,000 MILES. I WAS DRIVING DOWN A RESIDENTIAL STREET WHEN IT STALLED AND AFTER I CUT OFF THE ENGINE TO RESTART IT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT TURN OVER. I HAD IT TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE CONTROL RELAY MODULE THAT WAS NOT COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY. I HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED, ALL THE RECALLS DONE, AND MANY OTHER THINGS. THIS IS SO UNSAFE AND RIDICULOUS. ITS NEARLY $1,000 TO HAVE THIS PART REPLACED, BUT BECAUSE IT IS SUCH A COMMON ISSUE IT IS ON BACK ORDER. IN SEPTEMBER OF 2014 I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. A FEW WEEKS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE I NOTICED THE CAR WAS SHUTTING OFF WHEN I WAS AT STOP SIGNS, RED LIGHTS, AND MOST SERIOUSLY WHEN I WAS DRIVING. I WAS NOT SURE AS TO WHY MY CAR WAS DOING THIS. I TRIED EVERYTHING FROM A NEW BATTERY AND COUNTLESS APPOINTMENTS AT MY MECHANIC. I WAS NOT INFORMED OF ANY TYPE OF RECALL ON MY CAR, UNTIL I DID MY OWN PERSONAL RESEARCH. IN MAY OF 2015 I TOOK MY CAR TO A CHRYSLER, DODGE, JEEP AND RAM DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT WHEN I COULD ORDER THE PART FOR THE P-41 RECALL ON MY CAR. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE COUNTRY AND THEY WERE NOT SURE OF WHEN IT WOULD ARRIVE. I WAS TOLD THE CAR WAS "SAFE" TO DRIVE. I WAS GIVEN A FEW TIPS: SIT FAR ENOUGH AWAY FROM THE STEERING WHEEL SO MY KNEES WERE NOT CLOSE TO THE KEY, HAVE THE CAR KEY ONLY ON A RING BY ITSELF, ALWAYS WEAR MY SEAT BELT, AND AVOID HAVING A FRONT PASSENGER. IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF 4 WEEKS UNTIL I WAS EXPERIENCING THE ISSUE AGAIN. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH MY BOYFRIEND AND ONE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER GOING ABOUT 65MPH WHEN MY CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF, I LOST POWER STEERING, BRAKES, AND EVERY SINGLE LIGHT TURNED ON. I HAD TO RESORT TO PULLING THE E-BRAKE WHICH DID NOT HELP SLOW MY CAR DOWN. THIS WAS THE MOST SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS INCIDENT, LUCKILY WE DID NOT GET HURT, OR HURT ANYONE ELSE. AS A RESULT, I TOOK MY CAR TO ANOTHER JEEP DEALERSHIP AND WAS ADVISED THE SAME INFORMATION THAT THE PART WAS NOT ABLE TO BE ORDERED AND GIVEN THE SAME TIPS. I REQUESTED A RENTAL FOR THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND MY DAUGHTER. IT TOOK ME 2 WEEKS TO FINALLY RECEIVE A RENTAL. I HAVE HAD A RENTAL FOR ALMOST TWO WEEKS NOW AND WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP, BY PULLING THE E-BRAKE IT WAS GOING TO COST ME $1600 TO FIX.
