TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AFTER THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. APPROXIMATELY ONE MINUTE LATER, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE PROPERLY. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 10,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED FROM ROAD STONE. 2 WINDSHIELDS REPLACED IN 3 WEEKS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLS AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS AND WHEN IDLING. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER APPROXIMATELY THREE TIMES, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 16,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
1) 2006 JEEP COMMANDER BEGAN STALLING JUST WEEKS AFTER PURCHASING IT. THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED ABOUT 10 TIMES IN 12 MONTHS. 2) THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY STALLS WHILE DRIVING (USUALLY WHILE IN THE PROCESS OF SLOWING DOWN), OR WHEN COMING TO STOP OR WHEN BEGINNING TO GO. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN PARKING LOTS, INTERSECTIONS, AS WELL AS DRIVING ON BUSY ROADS. LUCKILY THE CARS BEHIND PUT ON THEIR BRAKES BEFORE REAR-ENDING MY CAR. HOWEVER, THE RESULT COULD EASILY BE AN ACCIDENT - WHICH I AM TRYING TO PREVENT. 3) BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TWO TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED. I WAS TOLD THAT WHILE THEY AND CHRYSLER ARE AWARE, THEY HAVE NOT COME UP WITH A FIX FOR THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING IT. I ALSO CALLED CHRYSLER'S CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER AND WAS TOLD THAT I HAD TO GET A SECOND OPINION BUT THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THEY COULD DO BECAUSE THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. WHILE DRIVING 30-35 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. AS OF NOVEMBER 5, 2007, THE DEALER HAD NOT REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY AND HE HEARD A GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. THEY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 11,730. THE CONSUMER STATED A NEW TRANSMISSION PUT IN THE VEHICLE AND NEW BEARINGS IN THE TRANSFER CASE. THE CONSUMER STATED A NEW POWER STEERING PUMP, NEW BRAKE CALIPERS, AND THE CONSUMER STATED THERE ARE STILL ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE. UPDATED 11/20/07 *TR
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. A ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD NEAR BOTTOM CENTER EDGE. WITHIN 30 SECONDS A CRACK SPREAD FROM THE CHIP DOWN TO THE EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD AND UP AND ALMOST OVER TO THE PORT SIDE EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD.*AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WOULD ALSO STALL WHILE DRIVING AT LOWER SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MECHANIC ADVISED THAT THE O2 SENSOR WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. AFTER THE REPAIR THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE O2 SENSOR WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 08V203000 (POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM, PCM) THAT COULD HAVE BEEN RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER (4.7 LITER) CONSTANTLY STALLS AND HESITATES AND THE DEALER KEEPS TELLING ME THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG BUT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT THE SAME THING AND I WANT TO KNOW WHY THIS HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. ALSO THE THIRD ROW SEAT BELTS SEEM TO HAVE A PROBLEM. *JB
JEEP COMMANDER STALLS AT ALL SPEEDS. IT HAS HAPPEN TO VEHICLE 8 TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT HAPPEN ON MARCH 14 2007. PULLING OUT OF GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT AND JEEP COMPLETELY DIES. CARS LOCK THERE BRAKES TO AVOID HITTING MY CAR. I HAD MY WIFE AND 2 YR OLD DAUGHTER IN CAR WITH ME. DROVE CAR TO DEALERSHIP RIGHT AWAY AND TOLD THEM TO FIX IT. THEY TOLD ME LATER THAT DAY THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT AND JUST FLASHED THE COMPUTER FOR THE THIRD TIME. DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN CAR. THERE IS NO PARTICULAR TIME OF THE DAY, TEMPERATURE OR SPEED WHEN CAR STALLS. WORKING ON GETTING RID OF THE CAR AND GET ONE I DO NOT HAVE WORRY ABOUT GETTING HURT OR POSSIBLE DYING IN. *JB
2006 JEEP COMMANDER. ALL DASHBOARD ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS FAIL AFTER STARTING VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WILL CONTINUE TO OPERATE. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES DASHBOARD INDICATORS COME ON AS NORMAL BUT ENGINE LIGHT REMAINS LIT. OWNERS MANUAL STATES DRIVING WITH ENGINE LIGHT ON SHOULD NOT AFFECT VEHICLE OPERATION. ALSO STATES ENGINE LIGHT SHOULD GO OFF AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF NORMAL OPERATION. *JB
TL*- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER WITH A CURRENT AND FAILURE ODOMETER READING OF 5000 MILES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AT HIGH SPEEDS. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING UNDER DRY CONDITIONS AT ABOUT 70 MPH WHEN THE STALLING OCCURRED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT A CRASH. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK THEN IT WOULD RESTART WITH NO PROBLEM. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE. ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER LIMITED'S ENGINE HAS SHUT OFF. THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT, THE ENGINE CUTS OFF AND YOU ARE JUST SITTING THERE. THIS IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS AS THERE IS ALWAYS TRAFFIC AND YOU DON'T HAVE THE STEERING TO EASILY MOVE YOUR CAR TO A SAFE PLACE. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY BY CHRYSLER. *JB
2006 JEEP COMMANDER LIMITED WITH V-8 CUTS OFF WHEN STOPPING, STOPPED OR ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. IT WILL CRANK RIGHT AFTER CUTTING OFF. *JB
IN THE 5 YEARS I HAVE OWNED THE 2006 JEEP COMMANDER IT HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING, STALLED WHILE PARKED. THIS HAPPENS AT NO SET FREQUENCY. SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS DAILY, OTHER TIMES IT WILL GO FOR MONTHS AND NOT HAPPEN. THE DASH LIGHTS REPEATEDLY FLASH OFF AND ON. SOME DASH LIGHTS DON'T WORK AT ALL FOR MONTHS THEN LIKE MAGIC WORK FINE FOR MONTHS. THE VEHICLE SPUTTERS WHEN ACCELERATING ALL THE TIME AND AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. IF I AM CROSSING OR TURINING I NEED TO MAKE SURE I HAVE LIKE 2 MILES BETWEEN ME AND ONCOMING TRAFFIC IN CASE IT DECIDES TO NOT WORK THAT TIME AND I GET STUCK IN THE INTERSECTION. THE CRUISE CONTROL NO LONGER WORKS. LUCKILY THE COMPUTER WENT OUT THAT CONTROLS THE CRUISE SO I CAN'T USE IT. THE CRUISE USED TO JUST SPEED UP AND SLOW DOWN ON ITS OWN. I WILL BE DRIVING ALONG AND ALL OF A SUDDEN WITHOUT NOTICE THE CAR WILL FLOOR ITSELF AND NOT STOP UNTIL I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL. REGARDLESS OF WHAT TEMPERATURE I HAVE THE HEATER SET TO THERE IS CONSTANTLY EXTREMELY HOT AIR BLOWING ON MY FEET. I CAN NOT DRIVE WITHOUT SHOES ON OR THE HOT AIR LITERALLY BURNS MY FEET. OVERALL- THERE ARE SOME SERIOUS ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ISSUES WITH THE JEEP COMMANDER. I GOOGLED JEEP COMMANDER AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS (I AM SURE THOUSANDS) OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. *JS
AT APPROX 29K MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER BEGAN ACTING LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL OUT WHILE THE ENGINE IDLED WHETHER IN PARK OR DRIVE. IT ALSO WOULD ACT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL IF I WERE TURNING AND HIT A CURB OR BUMP. EXAMPLES OF WHEN THIS HAPPENED: 1. AT NIGHT, MY ENGINE WAS RUNNING, THE CAR WAS IN DRIVE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND MY DOOR WAS OPEN; THE INTERIOR LIGHTS BEGAN TO DIM AND THE ENGINE ALMOST CUT OFF. 2. I WAS TURNING RIGHT FROM ONE ROAD TO ANOTHER AND HIT THE CURB AND THE ENGINE ALMOST STALLED. 3. I WAS STOPPED AT AN INTERSECTION WAITING TO TURN RIGHT ONTO A ROAD WHEN THE ENGINE ALMOST STALLED. 3. I WAS PARKED WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING IDLE AT A GAS STATION LOOKING FOR MY ATM CARD WHEN THE ENGINE ALMOST STALLED. THESE INSTANCES SEEM TO HAPPEN EVERY COUPLE OF WEEKS. THE JEEP HAS BEEN TO 2 DIFFERENT DEALERS THREE DIFFERENT TIMES FOR THIS AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY CAN'T REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND THAT MY ALTERNATOR IS WORKING AT THE CORRECT AMPS. IN ADDITION, I HAVE HAD TRANSMISSION LEAKS AND MY FAMILY WAS LEFT STRANDED 6 HOURS AWAY DUE TO A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM THAT ONE DEALER SAID WAS THE MISTAKE OF ANOTHER WHEN THEY FIXED MY TRANSMISSION LEAK. *TR

2006 4.7 V8 JEEP COMMANDER HAS HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS, THE MOST SEVERE BEING 3 (OUT OF 7) INOPERABLE SEATBELTS AND SPORADIC STALLING OF THE VEHICLE. THE FIRST 8 - 10 TIMES THE VEHICLE STALLED (WENT DEAD), I WAS AT A STOPPED POSITION ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT HAPPENED AS I WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC. I LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND BRAKES WHEN THE VEHICLE DIED. I WAS GOING UP A SLIGHT INCLINE WHICH ASSISTED ME IN STOPPING AND I PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND RESTARTED. I HAVE REFUSED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE SINCE THAT TIME OUT OF SAFETY CONCERNS FOR MY CHILDREN AND FOR OTHERS ON THE ROAD. THE DEALERSHIP HAS ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM ON 4 OCCASIONS - NOTHING HAS WORKED. THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION REFUSES TO BUY-BACK THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT DUPLICATED THE PROBLEM IN THE SHOP. I HAVE WITNESSES TO THE OCCURRENCES AND HAVE DOCUMENTED EACH TIME IT HAS HAPPENED. *JB

2007 JEEP COMMANDER, V8 ENGINE.....THIS VEHICLE HAS STALLED NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED NEW 02/2006. IT STARTED ABOUT 3 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE AND IS CONTINUING TO STALL TO THE POINT THAT I WILL NOT ALLOW MY TEENAGER DAUGHTER TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. MY DEALERSHIP (I HAVE PURCHASED 6 NEW CHRYSLER VEHICLES OVER PAST 16 YEARS) SAYS THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO FIX, THAT I WILL HAVE TO WAIT ON CHRYSLER TO RECALL IF THERE IS A PROBLEM. JEEP COMMANDER WITH ONLY 7,300 MILES, AND OWNED SINCE SEPT 2006 HAS TRANSMISSION FAILURE. I HAVE ALREADY BEEN OUT OF A CAR FOR 4 DAYS, WILL BE OUT OF A CAR FOR ANOTHER 7 AT A MINIMUM ACCORDING TO ALLEN SAMUELS DODGE (DEALER IN KELLER, TX). WILL NOT HELP WITH RENTAL CAR OR LOANER CAR. *NM
I HAVE A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER, I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE SINCE NOVEMBER 2005. I HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE TO THE DEALER ON DIFFERENT OCCASION DUE TO MY CAR STALLING. IT ISN'T UNTIL MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKS AND I CAN'T PUSH THE GAS PEDDLE THAT I REALIZE I HAVE NO POWER. MY DASH LIGHTS DON'T COME ON, MY RADIO DOESN'T GO OFF. I JUST STALL... THE DEALER SAYS " THE COMPUTER DOESN'T REGISTER THE CUT OFF", AND THEY CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. SO I HAVE THIS CAR THAT I NEVER KNOW WHEN IT WILL DIE....I WAS GOING TO A VALENTINE PARTY AND ON MY WAY THERE MY CAR CUT OFF TWICE WITHIN A MINUTE AND HALF AND NEITHER SHOWED UP ON THE MY VEHICLES COMPUTER, THE PERSON THAT WAS BEHIND ME AT THE TIME GOT A LITTLE ROAD RAGE AND SPED AROUND ME WITH THE FINGER. I HAVE AN 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY CASE INVESTIGATED. AS I SUBMIT THIS MY CAR IS IN THE SHOP NOW. *NM
MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER'S IGNITION KEY IS SO SENSITIVE TO TOUCH THAT IF IT IS BUMPED WHILE DRIVING, THE KEY TURNS THE ENGINE OFF CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SHUT DOWN AND MAKING STEERING ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. I HAVE ALMOST CRASHED COMING OF A HIGHWAY AND IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. I AM 6' TALL AND WHEN I MOVE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS THE KNEE HITS THE KEY EVER SO SLIGHTLY AND THE KEY SWITCHES OFF. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER 4X2. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLS WHEN DRIVING AT 5 MPH. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED TWICE. WHILE PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT, THE VEHICLE APPEARED AS IF IT WOULD STALL. THE CONTACT APPLIED THE BRAKES AND CRASHED INTO THE SIDE OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT SHE WAS NOT APPLYING ENOUGH IN ORDER TO KEEP IT FROM STALLING. SHE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO STATED THAT NO ONE ELSE IS ENCOUNTERING THIS FAILURE. NO RECALLS WERE AVAILABLE FOR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED HER TO CALL HER DEALER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 8,894 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER HAS STALLED OUT NUMEROUS TIMES. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED IT FROM AND THE JEEPCORP. HAVE NO ANSWER NOR A FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. I AM AFRAID THAT THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE T DRIVE. ONE DAY I WAS PULLING OFF A PARKING LOT AND TRIED TO STOP TO KEEP FROM HITTING A VEHICLE AND STILL ENED UP HITTING THE PERSONS FENDER. NOT SURE IF MY VEHICLE STALLED AT THAT TIME OR NOT BECAUSE IT ALL HAPPENED SO FAST.
WHEN DRIVE MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER THE ENGINE HAS STALLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. *JB
WE PURCHASED A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER IN JULY OF 2006. SINCE WE HAVE OWNED IT, WE HAVE HAD 2 ROCK CHIPS, THAT WE HAVE HAD PATCHED. SINCE THEN, WE HAVE 4 DIFFERENT CRACKS THAT HAVE ALL STARTED BELOW THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, AND ALL 4 CRACKS STARTED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF EACH OTHER. FIRST, IT SEEMS THAT JEEP COMMANDERS ARE MUCH MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO ROCK CHIPS THAN ANY OTHER CAR THAT WE HAVE EVER OWNED. SECOND, THE LATEST 4 CRACKS DO NOT SEEM TO EVEN HAVE STARTED FROM ROCK CHIPS, BUT SINCE THEY HAVE ALL STARTED FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD, BELOW THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS (WHEN THE WIPERS WERE NOT BEING USED AT ALL), THIS SEEMS TO US TO BE SOME KIND OF DESIGN FLAW WITH THE COMMANDER'S WINDSHIELD. PERHAPS THE WINDSHIELDS ARE JUST TOO BIG, TOO STRAIGHT, WITH LITTLE TO NO SLOPE AT ALL, OR JUST NOT MADE STURDY ENOUGH. IT JUST SEEMS THAT THERE IS A DESIGN OR QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THE WINDSHIELD, AND WE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE JEEP DEALERSHIP THAT WE WENT TO NOT BEING WILLING TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM UNDER WARRANTY. WE DON'T DRIVE OUR CARS ON GRAVEL ROADS AT ALL, WE HAVE NOT DRIVEN THEM THROUGH ANY CONSTRUCTION ZONE AREAS. WE DRIVE THEM ON NORMAL, GENERALLY GOOD CONDITION ROADS, AND IT DOESN'T SEEM REASONABLE THAT IN 9 MONTHS TIME, WE HAVE HAD 2 ROCK CHIPS, AND NOW 4 DIFFERENT CRACKS. WE HAVE TALKED TO A FEW OTHER COMMANDER OWNERS, AND THEY HAVE ALL EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM WE ARE HAVING. ONE COUPLE THAT WE KNOW THAT OWNS A COMMANDER IS ON THEIR 3RD WINDSHIELD. THERE SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH NOT JUST US, BUT OTHER COMMANDER OWNERS ALSO. WE ARE WONDERING WHAT JEEP PLANS TO DO TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM? IS A RECALL BEING CONSIDERED? *WHILE DRIVING DOWN A LEVEL HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 70 MPH, WHILE USING CRUISE, THE RPMS JUMPED DRASTICALLY AS IF GOING INTO OVERDRIVE. ALTHOUGH IT SHIFTED FOR WHATEVER REASON, AS I STATED IT WAS FLAT GROUND, THERE WAS NO PICK UP SPEED. **HOWEVER, AT OTHER TIMES I HAVE HAD THE 2006 JEEP COMMANDER ACCELERATE FOR NO REASON. THANKFULLY TRAFFIC HAS BEEN CLEAR ENOUGH TO REGAIN PROPER CONTROL. NO PATTERN. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AFTER THEY TOLD ME TO LOOK FOR A PATTERN AND THERE WASN'T ONE. THERE WERE NO ERROR CODES AND THE "SITUATION COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED". NOT REAL PLEASED. I AM LISTING EACH TYPE OF FAILURE SEPARATELY ON THIS SITE. JEEP COMMANDER 2006 4X4 (MY WIFE JENNIFER IVESTER ON 1.28.2007) IN DRIVE GOING DOWN THE STREET 25 MPH, SHE HAS FOOT ON ACCELERATOR AND THE VEHICLE DIES. FULL POWER AND VEHICLE FAILURE. VEHICLE WAS STRANDED IN INTERSECTION WITH CARS COMING TOWARD VEHICLE. ALL THE CARS SLAM ON BREAKS. WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING VEHICLE IS PLACED IN NEUTRAL AND IGNITION TURN BACK ON. AT THAT MOMENT HER FOOT, WHICH WAS ON THE BRAKE WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR, SHE HAD LOST ALL BRAKE PRESSURE IN THE PEDAL. AS SHE WAS PUMPING THE BRAKES SHE HAD TO HONK AND WAVE TO THE FLAGMEN THAT SHE COULDN'T STOP AND TO MOVE. SHE HAD TRAVELED ABOUT A 100 FEET AND FINALLY CAME TO A STOP WHEN THE CAR HIT THE ONE THAT WAS FURTHER DOWNHILL FROM HER. WE CALL REUTHER JEEP AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND THEY SAID TO TOW THE CAR TO THEIR SHOP AND THEY WOULD GIVE US A RENTAL CAR. THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT CHRYSLER AND HAVE THEM DO AN INVESTIGATION. THEY DID THEY INVESTIGATION (WITHOUT DRIVING THE CAR) PLUGGED IT INTO THE COMPUTER, AND LATER TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE CAR, AND WE SHOULD CONTACT OUR INSURANCE COMPANY. NO OTHER EXPLANATION WAS GIVEN. I DID SOME SEARCHING ONLINE AND FOUND NUMEROUS INSTANCES WHERE THIS SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM AND FALLS IN LINE WITH THE RECALL THAT CHRYSLER HAD RECENTLY DONE ON THE 64000+ CARS. I DON'T WANT THIS CAR BACK, I DON'T FEEL IT IS SAFE AND I FEAR FOR MY WIFE AND KIDS THAT ARE ALWAYS IN THIS CAR. WE LEASED THE VEHICLE I DON'T SEE WHY THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS RIGHT.
