MY IGNITION SHUT OFF AFTER HIT A SMALL BUMP. THERE ARE NO OTHER KEYS ON THE KEY FOB WENT TO TWO DEALERS AND WAS TOLD THE PART IS UNAVAILABLE. COULDN'T MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITHOUT PART,WAS TOLD TO REPORT THE PROBLEM. THE SERVICE MANAGER DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PART WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THE KEY MOVES BACK AND SETS OFF ALL DASHBOARD LIGHTS.
WHEN DRIVING CAR AT NIGHT THE DASH LIGHTING AND THE HEAD LIGHTS WENT DARK FOR 5 MINUTES AND CAME BACK ON, DRIVER HAD TO PULL OVER AND ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT DUE TO NO LIGHTING. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE PAST 3 WEEKS VERY CONCERNING. HEADLIGHTS AND DASH LIGHTING SHOULD NOT GO BAD BEFORE THE POWER TRAIN ON ANY CAR BUILT EVER.THANK GOD THE PERSON DRIVING WAS CALM ENOUGH TO HANDLE THE DISTRACTION.

I DRIVE 26 MILES ONE WAY TO WORK AND THEN THE SAME BACK HOME. ON MY WAY TO WORK SEPTEMBER 9, 2015 I WAS DRIVING 40 MPH AND PUTTING ON CRUISE CONTROL AND IT REVVED UP TO 7 RPMS AND I WAS DOING 95 WITHIN ABOUT 20 SECONDS. I AM UNABLE TO USE CRUISE CONTROL BECAUSE INSTANTLY IT REVS UP AND I AM A DANGER TO THOSE ON THE ROAD. SO FAR NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN THE CRUISE CONTROL IS OFF. IT HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY. IT SHOULD BE PUT ON THE RECALL LIST AS THIS IS DEADLY ON THE FREEWAY.

I RECEIVED RECALLS P73 AND P41 CALLED SORG DODGE IN GOSHEN AND DOWNEY CHRYSLER JEEP IN NAPPANEE IN SEPT OF 2015 NEEDLESS TO SAY NO ONE WILL DO THE RECALL WORK. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT THE RUN AROUND SINCE THESE CAME OUT. WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO??
MY 2006 JEEP COMMANDER DRIVER'S DOOR HANDLES BREAK - 3 OF THE 4 HAVE BROKEN AFTER NOTHING BUT NORMAL EVERYDAY USE. IF YOU'RE IN A WRECK YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE IF THE HANDLES ARE BROKEN. CHECKING THE WEB FOR CONSUMER'S THAT HAVE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THE JEEP COMMANDER DOOR HANDLES BREAKING AND FINDING OUT THERE ARE HUNDREDS IF NOT A COUPLE THOUSAND THAT HAVE HAD THE EXACT SAME BREAKAGE OF THE DOOR HANDLE OPERATING MECHANISM. IF YOU TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE JEEP DEALER FOR REPAIR, THEY WANT $600.00 - $800.00 PER DOOR TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY IN EXITING THE VEHICLE. DESCRIBING WHAT HAPPENS WITH YOUR VEHICLE: IT IS JUST EVERYDAY ORDINARY OPERATIONAL USE AS TO WHEN THE DRIVER OR PASSENGERS ON THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND "NORMALLY "PULL" THE HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR AND EXIT THE VEHICLE THAT THE HANDLE AND HANDLE HOUSING BREAKS INTO PIECES. THIS BREAKAGE HAPPENS TO ALL THE DOOR HANDLES (FRONT & REAR) IN THE 2006 JEEP COMMANDER.
THE SEAT BELTS IN MY THIRD ROW, WHICH I USE MAYBE 10% OF THE TIME ARE BROKEN. THEY BROKE WAY TOO EARLY IN MY CARS LIFE. I NEVER KNEW THAT I COULD REPORT IT UNTIL MY MECHANIC SAID TO. I CALLED JEEP TO LET THEM KNOW THAT ITS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I WOULD LIKE THEM REPLACED, AND THEY DECLINED TO DO SO. I HAVE HAD MANY JEEP NEW AND VERY OLD AND THE SEAT BELTS WERE NEVER AN ISSUE, WHICH MAKES ME THINK THESE SEAT BELTS WERE DEFECTIVE OR MAYBE THE WAY THE 3RD ROW FOLDS DOWN IS THE CAUSE.

I TOOK IT TO PROGRESSIVE CHEVROLET IN MASSILLON AND THEY CONFIRMED IT IS PART OF THE P41/NHTSA 14V-438 RECALL. IT HAS BEEN THERE FOR 45 DAYS. CHRYSTLER INFORMS ME THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND WILL BE THERE WITHIN THE WEEK. PROGRESSIVE INFORMS ME THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE SEPTEMBER 11, 2015 FOR THE PART.

I BOUGHT MY 1ST NEW CAR EVER HOPING TO KEEP IT FOREVER. I TREAT IT VERY WELL ALL SERVICES DONE ON TIME AND WITH TOP QUALITY PRODUCT. AT 105,000 MILES MY VALVE DROPPED IN THE ENGINE RUINING THE COMPLETE BLOCK. THIS HAPPENED IN MY DRIVEWAY AS I STARTED IT TO LEAVE. COSTING ME 8,278.40 TO REPLACE MY ENGINE. AFTER THIS I HAVE LEARNED THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM TO WHICH CHRYSLER HAS YET TO ADMIT FAULT! I WILL HOLD OUT HOPE AND KEEP PAYING THAT ENGINE BILL FINGERS CROSSED SOMEDAY THEY WILL COMPINCATE ME.
MY FAMILY (HUSBAND & 2 SMALL CHILDREN) WERE DRIVING HOME ON THE MIAMI TURNPIKE IN CRAZY TRAFFIC. WE HIT A SPOT ON THE ROAD WHERE 2 ROADS MEET AND THE ENGINE COMPLITLEY TURNED OFF. I FREAKED OUT BECAUSE A CAR WAS BEHIND ME AND IT WAS BUSY TRAFFIC. ONCE MY SENSES KICKED IN I STARTED WIGGLING THE KEY AND TURNED IT AND THE CAR STARTED BACK UP. I DID NOT WANT TO DRIVE HOME! MY HUSBAND CALLED JEEP AND THEY WERE CLOSED. I CALLED THE RECALL LINE THIS MORNING AT 8:00 AM AND THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. I WAS TOLD IT IS MY PREROGATIVE TO KEEP DRIVING BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO FIX. I LET THEM KNOW THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. THE SUPERVISOR TOLD ME THERE WAS NO FIX THEY COULD PUT ME ON AN EMAIL LIST FOR WHEN A FIX IS AVAVILABLE!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING? THEN I SAID WHAT IF WE DIE IN AN ACCIDENT AND SUE AND SHE SAID THAT'S YOUR FAMILIES PREROGATIVE IF THEY WANT TO SUE!!!!! I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A DIFFERENT SUPERVISOR AND SHE FLAT OUT SAID NO I HAVE HELPED YOU AND I WILL NOT LET YOU SPEAK TO ANOTHER SUPERVISOR!!!!!!

I HAVE ONLY THE ONE KEY ON THE KEY CHAIN- I HAVE MOVED SEAT BACK AS FAR AS IT CAN GO WITH ME BEING ABLE TO STILL TOUCH THE PEDEL. AND MY CAR STILL CUTS OFF WHEN I RIDING DOWN STREET - CUTS OFF FOR LIKE MAYBE 5 TO 8 SEC THEN KICKS BACK IN JOLTS US FORWARD THEN I CAN HIT GAS-WHEN THIS HAPPENS - I CAN NOT HIT GAS RPM DO NOT MOVE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD NUMEROUS TIMES HAVE NO CLUE WHEN MY PART WILL BE IN AND I FEEL MY CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.
TURNED VEHICLE OFF AT STORE, CAME OUT TO START IT AND WHILE I WAS IN THE STORE A VALVE SEAT FELL OUT OF THE CYLINDER HEAD INTO THE CYLINDER. ENGINE NOW NEEDS AN ENTIRE REBUILD COSTING HALF OF THE BOOK VALUE OF THE VEHICLE. UPON RESEARCH ONLINE, THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE ENGINES SPECIFIC TO 2006-2007. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ IT WAS DUE TO A KNOWN ISSUE FROM A VENDER THAT SUPPLIED THE CYLINDER HEADS.
AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD MY AUTOMOBILE TURNED OFF AND STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING! THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND IS VERY RIDICULOUS CONSIDERING I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE OVER 1 YEAR AGO CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM. I MAKE EVERY ATTEMPT TO ENSURE THE FUNCTIONS OF MY VEHICLE ARE RUNNING PROPERLY FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY. 1.IT LEAKS. WHENEVER THERE IS RAIN I HAVE 2-3 INCHES OF WATER IN THE FRONT FOOT AREA ON BOTH SIDES. IN ADDITION TO THAT WATER LEAKS THROUGH THE LINING AND FRONT PILLARS OF THE TRUCK LANDING ON THE DASHBOARD. WHAT IS THIS ABOUT? THIS NOT ONLY RESULTS IN MY TIME TO DRAIN OUT THE WATER IT ALSO LEADS TO A GROSS MUSTY SMELL. AFTER A RAIN I CAN HEAR THE WATER SWISHING BACK AND FORTH IN HT ROOF OF MY CAR. THIS IS REDICULOUS. FURTHER THIS ISSUE HAS DONE SOMETHING TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. 2.THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WINDOW/LOCK/MIRROR SWITCHES NO LONGER WORK. SO THAT MEANS THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW HASN'T BEEN DOWN IN FOREVER. THAT MAKES LIFE QUITE DIFFICULT. THE NEXT ELECTRICAL PROBLEM IS THAT FOR NO APPARENT REASONS LIGHTS COME ON. AS I DRIVING THE INTERIOR LIGHTS JUST START TO SHINE BRIGHT ALL OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME. ONE NIGHT I WOKE UP AT THREE IN THE MORNING TO FIND MY HEADLIGHTS ON. I TRIED TO TURN THEM OFF BUT COULDN'T. IT EVENTUALLY WORE THE BATTERY OUT. LASTLY ELECTRONICS WISE IS MY DASHBOARD LIGHTS FLICKER CRAZY. 3.THE DOOR HANDLES. BEHIND THE ACTUAL DOOR HANDLE IS PLASTIC. THIS HAS ALL BROKEN AWAY. I AM SURE IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE I CAN OPEN THE DOORS AT ALL. 4.IT JUST STOPS RUNNING. FIVE TIMES NOW AS I AM DRIVING (STREETS OR HIGHWAY) THE TRUCK HAS JUST SHUT DOWN. PURCHASED CAR ON JULY 29, 2015 ON AUGUST 1 CAR TURNED OFF AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON TOOK IT TO DEALER. THEY SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. THE NEXT DAY ON AUGUST 2,2015 SAME ISSUE HAPPEN TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALER THEY SAID THEY WOULD FIX IT. LEFT CAR AND PICKED IT UP ON AUGUST 7,2015. THE NEXT DAY ON AUGUST 8,2015 CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF AGAIN TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER.PICKED CAR UP ON AUGUST 12,2015. ON AUGUST 25,2015 CAR TURNED OFF AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WENT BACK TO THE DEALER THIS TIME THEY SAID IT WAS THE RPM,THAT THEY CLEANED IT OUT. BUT I WAS ADVISED THAT THIS TIME IF THE CAR HAD ANY MORE NEW PROBLEMS THEY WILL NOT REPAIR IT.

DRIVING AT NIGHT THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD FLASH ON AN OFF
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND THE ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. ONE OF THE SCARIEST THINGS I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. LUCKILY TRAFFIC WAS MINIMAL AT THE TIME, BUT IN TRAFFIC, IT COULD HAVE BEEN A HUGE DISASTER.
