CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL 01 V 374 000. CONSUMER CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT . DEALER STATED THAT CONSUMER COULD BRING VEHICLE IN ON APRIL 5TH 2002. DEALER TOLD CONSUMER IN TWO WEEKS BRING VEHICLE IN. CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO CONTACT DEALER. *AK ON MAY 31,2002 VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. *MJ
JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE BLEND DOORS. THAT ALL I HAVE TO SAY. THE BLEND DOORS ARE JUNK. THEY BREAK IN EVERY JEEP GC. IT'S A 1500 DOLLAR JOB THAT CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF. IT HAPPENS IN ALL JEEPS. THE DOORS BREAK, LEAVING THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WITH NO HEAT. CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM. THEY HAVE ISSUED A TECH BULLETIN, BUT STILL THEY DO NOT RECALL THIS PART. THIS IS '!@#$%. VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY IN FRONT OF HOUSE. IGNITION WAS OFF. NOBODY WAS IN CAR AT TIME OF INCIDENT. TRANSMISSION SHIFTED FROM 'PARK' TO 'REVERSE' AND VEHICLE ROLLED FORWARD IN DRIVEWAY, JUMPED CURB AND RETAINING WALL, CROSSED STREET, ROLLED DOWN HILL, HIT TREE, ROLLED THROUGH FENCE AND CONTINUED UNTIL IT REACHED BOTTOM OF HILL WHERE IT ROLLED TO A STOP.*AK

CONSUMER COMPLAINT REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR ELECTRIC RADIATOR FAN ON 2002 GRAND CHEROKEE. *TS THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN 65 MPH. THE FAN BROKE IT CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE RADIATOR WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO OVERHEAT. *NM

COMPLAINT CONCERNING CHRYSLER SAFETY RECALL- HEATED SEAT ELEMENTS *GR THE CONSUMER STATED BOTH FRONT SEAT HEATER ELEMENTS WERE REPLACED AFTER THE DRIVERS SEAT STOPPED WORKING. THE DEALER REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE FREE OF CHARGE, BECAUSE THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. WHEN THE CONSUMER WENT TO ANOTHER REPAIR FACILITY, THEY DISCOVERED THE DRIVERS COMPONENT WAS CHARRED. *JB

CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL REGARDING A FUEL TANK BLOCKER BRACKET. CONSUMER HAS TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE RECALL WORK REPAIRED. THE WORK WAS NOT PERFORMED BECAUSE CONSUMER HAS AN AFTER MARKET TRAILER HITCH ON THE VEHICLE WHICH PREVENTS THEM FROM BEING ABLE TO INSTALL THE BRACKET. THE CHOICES GIVEN TO CONSUMER WAS TO EITHER HAVE THE HITCH REMOVED OR TO LIVE WITH THE PROBLEM. *JG
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SYMPTOMS OF RECALL 02V032 WHICH CAUSED IT TO SMEEL OF GAS EVERYTIME THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN,THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE THE DEALER HAD NO PARTS AVAILABLE, THE CONSUMER HAS TO PAY TO RENT A CAR WHILE HIS VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED AND IS REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE RENTAL CAR. *SCC

THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE WAS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD BUT HAS HAD THREE COMPUTERS REPLACED. THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES. *NLM
AT HIGH SPEEDS VEHICLE'S FRONT END SHAKES WHEN BRAKING. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE TENDS TO WANDER ALL OVER THE ROAD EXCESSIVELY, ESPECIALLY IF HIT BY A CROSSWIND OR PASSED BY A TRACTOR TRAILER. IT IS VERY HARD FOR CONSUMER TO MAINTAIN LANE. THE TIRES HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND THE ALIGNMENT HAS BEEN CHECKED. DEALER CANNOT DIAGNOSE CAUSE OF PROBLEM.*AK
CONSUMER STATES THERE IS A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING WHEEL AREA. CAUSE IS UNKNOWN. *AK
WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED, MAKING IT HARD TO STEER STRAIGHT. BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED. AT 22,000 MILES BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED AGAIN.
THE ENTIRE BODY OF THE VEHICLE VIBRATED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AT SPEEDS OF 50 MPH OR HIGHER. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICED THE VEHICLE 4 TIMES BUT WERE UNABLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *AK
AFTER 1200 MILES THE VEHICLE BEGAN MAKING A NOISE SIMILAR TO A "CRICKET" CHIRPING. THE DEALER INSTRUCTED THE CONSUMER TO WAIT UNTIL THE NOISE BECAME LOUDER SO THEY COULD PIN POINT WHERE THE NOISE WAS COMING FROM. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER ONCE THE NOISE BECAME LOUDER, BUT THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE CAUSE. *AK THE PROBLEM WAS A NOISE THAT CAME BETWEEN 65-75 MILES PER HOUR. A NEW DRIVE SHAFT WAS PLACED IN THE VEHICLE, BUT THE NOISE REMAINED. CHRYSLER TESTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE NOISE WAS NORMAL. CHRYSLER ALSO STATED THAT THEY WOULD NO LONGER PAY FOR ANY ATTEMPTS TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *SCC *JB
