Car was bought at affordable auto. The parking break had to be used in order for car to stay parked. We got home the windows on passenger side did not go down. Transmissions slips and goes out of gear you must change gears like a stick shift and the jeep is automatic. The truck was as is but the safety hazards sHould have been fixed. We took back to the dealership affordable auto next day and two more times after that. All the problems still were there. Yesterday I asked could they put freon in the truck since they wont fix anything so the air conditioner does not work and I have a heart condition. I was told they will not put freon in the jeep until we catch up on car payments. we are a month behind because tried to get windows fixed but motors is dead completely. I told them that was wrong and we were threatened that they will repossess the jeep if we don't like it.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SPITZER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (13001 BROOKPARK RD, CLEVELAND, OH 44142 (216) 356-5749) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND WORSENED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 160,000.
TRANSMISSION COOLANT LINE IS LEAKING IT'S BEEN WORKED ON SEVERAL TIMES. THE MOTOR HAS AIR IN THE COOLANT SYSTEM AFTER REPLACEMENT OF RADIATOR. THE POWER STEERING LINE WAS REPLACED. THE BACK WIPER MOTOR DOES NOT WORK. SOMETHING INEW THE DASH MAKES A MOVING SOUND AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUT OFF ON PASSENGER SIDE. I HAD BRAKE LINES FIXED. THE VEHICLE LOOSES OIL ON THE ROAD DUE TO THE LINE LEAKING. THE BACK WIPER NOT WORKING MAKES IT HARD TO SEE OUT THE BACK WINDOW.

THE CONTACT WAS FORCED TO STOP AT THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE, AND COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE TRANSMISSION AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION; HOWEVER, A NEW TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL NOVEMBER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROMISED TO WORK WITH THE DEALER AND PROVIDE A RENTAL VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,800.

I BOUGHT MY VEHICLE IN DECEMBER AT ONE OF YOUR DEALERSHIPS AND WHEN I TEST DROVE IT I TOLD MY SALESMAN THAT IS SWAYED IN THE BACK END AND HE SAID I JUST HAVE TO GET USED TO IT CAUSE I'M USED TO A CAR. THIS PROBLEM HAS GOTTEN WORSE AND I HAD IT LOOKED AT AND THE BALL JOINT IS ABOUT TO FALL OUT AND THE REAR TENSION BARS AND PARTS ARE BROKE AND HAVE BEEN SINCE I PURCHASED IT. THIS IS UNSAFE AND I HAVE MY CHILDREN IN THIS CAR. IT HAS EVEN RUINED MY TIRES ESPECIALLY THE PASSENGERS BACK ONE. THE DEALERSHIP LOOKED AT IT AND SAID IT WILL BE OVER 1,000 TO FIX AND THEY WILL ONLY COVER 220 OF THE COST AND I PAY THE REST. I PAID OVER 7,000 FOR THE JEEP AND I FEEL IT'S THEIR JOB TO FIX IT ALL. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE SEPTEMBER OF 2013 AND ALTHOUGH I LOVE THIS VEHICLE THERE IS ONE THING THAT IS SO NOT RIGHT ABOUT IT ALSO. THERE IS THIS VERY THIN WIRE VERY THIN WIRE ATTACHED TO THIS HEAVY METAL THING THAT JUST SITS IN WINDOW. THE WIRE COMES APART SO EASY AND IT SHOULD NOT. NOW THAT I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW THE PROBLEM HAS BECOME WORSE OVER THE MONTHS. YOU USE TO BE ABLE TO OPEN AND CLOSE DRIVER DOOR AND RIGHT AWAY EVERYTHING WOULD START WORKING AGAIN. JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SUDDEN AND UNCONTROLLED ACCELERATION: APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION TO STOP, I HAD TAKEN MY FOOT COMPLETELY OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND HAD THE BRAKE COVERED. AS THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP, THE ENGINE SUDDENLY SURGED (5000RPM +) AND LURCHED FORWARD UNCONTROLLABLY INTO THE INTERSECTION. THE BRAKES DID NOT STOP IT OR RESTRAIN IT. I IMMEDIATELY HIT THE SHIFT HANDLE INTO NEUTRAL AND TURNED THE IGNITION OFF IN ORDER TO REGAIN CONTROL. WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. IT REVVED, THEN IDLED, ALBEIT ROUGHLY (IDLE RANGING FROM 900RMP TO 1400RPM). THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND FORTUNATELY THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA... BUT IT DID SHAKE ME UP. PRIOR TO THIS, NON-DEALER SHOP REPLACED FUEL FILTER AND PUMP, DUE TO READINGS. CAR HAS RUN FINE SINCE, BUT PROBLEM HAS RE-APPEARED. DUE TO DEALER CLOSURES, WE HAD TO GO TO A NEW DEALER SVC. I WAS PULLING UP TO THE CURB AT A SHOPPING CENTER AND MY 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND SUDDENLY JUMPED THE CURB, KNOCKED DOWN A LARGE CONCRETE PLANTER AND TOOK OUT A LIGHT POLE. THE BRAKE WOULD NOT OVERRIDE THE SUDDEN ACCELERATION. LUCKILY, NO ONE WAS ON THE SIDEWALK. THIS INFORMATION WAS REPORTED TO THE LOCAL JEEP DEALER AND TO CHRYSLER CORPORATION BUT THEY ARE NOT ADMITTING THEIR IS A PROBLEM. I AM WRITING BECAUSE THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLE IN MY 2004 JEEP FAILED ON JANUARY 4, 2008 AFTER I PUT IT INTO 4 WHEEL DRIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME. I HAD IT SERVICED THE DAY BEFORE AT A GOODYEAR STORE. ON JANUARY 10 THE REPAIR COMPANY DETERMINED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BECAUSE TWO NEW TIRES, PURCHASED FROM AND MOUNTED BY THE SAME GOODYEAR SERVICE COMPANY, HAD BEEN PLACED ON THE FRONT AND TWO OF THE EXISTING TIRES WITH TREAD HAD BEEN PLACED ON THE BACK PER GOODYEAR'S INSTRUCTIONS. THE TWO EXISTING TIRES WERE LOWER IN TREAD THAN THE NEW TIRES BY ABOUT AN 1/2 TO 1 INCH AND THEY SAID THIS CAUSED THE FAILURE. I CHECKED THIS WITH A LOCAL JEEP DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN AND THAT THE TIRE COMPANY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE TIRE COMPANY THAT MOUNTED THE TIRES ON DECEMBER 1 AND ALSO DID THE SERVICE, THEY SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS POTENTIAL PROBLEM AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE PURCHASED FOUR TIRES FROM THEM. THE TIRE PEOPLE HAD GIVEN A PRICE ON FOUR TIRES BUT SAID THAT THERE WAS ENOUGH TREAD ON THE TWO FRONT TIRES TO CONTINUE TO USE THEM FOR A FEW MONTHS. THEY DECIDED TO MOVE TWO FRONT TIRES TO BACK AND PUT THE TWO NEW TIRES ON THE FRONT. THE MECHANICS SAID THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY USING THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WITH THESE TIRES. THERE IS NOTHING ABOUT HIS IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL; IT SAYS "PROPER OPERATION OF FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES DEPENDS ON TIRES OF EQUAL SIZE, TYPE AND CIRCUMFERENCE ON EACH WHEEL. ANY DIFFERENCE WILL ADVERSELY AFFECT SHIFTING AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TRANSFER CASE." ALL TIRES MEET THIS. JEEP/CHRYSLER SAID THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND EVEN THOUGHT JEEP NEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM; THEY SAID THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING IT OR PROVIDING INFORMATION TO THEIR CUSTOMERS ABOUT THE PROBLEM.
