VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO GEAR TO DRIVE HOWEVER UPON PARKING WILL NOT SHIFT INTO PARK WILL ONLY OPERATE IN REVERSE NEUTRAL OR DRIVE NO LOW GEARS AS WELL
HEADLIGHTS FLICKER AND SOMETIME GO OFF COMPLETELY WHILE AUTO IF BEING DRIVEN. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING INTERMITTENTLY FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. HAVE HAD THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL PERFORMED AND ALSO HAVE HAD THE NEW IGNITION SWITCH REPLACED TWICE BUT PROBLEM CONTINUES. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WITH UNRELIABLE LIGHTS.
I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 5.7 HEMI WITH APPROX. 118,000 MILES. DRIVING ABOUT 10MPH IN A PARKING LOT, I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE FOR A STOP SIGN. WHEN I WENT TO GO I GOT ACROSS THE INTERSECTION THEN THE VEHICLE ENGINE REVVED UP AND I LOST ALL PROPULSION POWER. I HAD ROLL TO A STOP, TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND THEN START UP AGAIN TO GET THINGS WORKING CORRECTLY WHILE IN DRIVE. IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN 2 OTHER TIMES AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU LOSE YOUR PROPULSION.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2006 GRAND CHEROKEE THE OTHER NIGHT IN THE RAIN AND I STARTED GOING DOWN A HILL AND I HIT A LITTLE BUMP AND MY BRAKES LIKE LOCKED UP IN THE FRONT AND I WENT TO TURN INTO A DRIVE WAY AFTER IT DID THAT AND I HAD NO POWER STEERING AND MY BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME NOW TWICE IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE FUEL PUMP, STARTER, AND CRANK SENSOR WERE ALL REPLACED. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE COULD BE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. AIRPORT CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (5751 EAGLE VAIL DRIVE, ORLANDO, FL 32822, (407) 541-6200) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
I HAD RECALL P41 UPDATED TO MY 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. AFTER THE RECALL UPDATE I WAS INSTRUCTED BY THE DEALERSHIP, I WOULD NEED TO PUSH AND TURN THE KEY TO START/STOP THE IGNITION. THIS UPGRADED FUNCTION HAS ALWAYS BEEN HARD TO GET THE KEY TO TURN. LAST WEEK, WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT WORK 02JUL19, IT TOOK ME OVER 20 MIN. TO GET THE KEY TO TURN BY PUSHING AND TURNING, TO START THE ENGINE. THE SAFETY RECALL P41 IS INEFFECTIVE OR INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. MY VEHICLE KEY TURNED FINE BEFORE THE RECALL AND HAS NOT WORKED WELL SINCE.
The Jeep dealer replaced my ignition switch that was part of the 2014 ignition switch recall. My Jeep continues to lose power after successfully turning on. It will turn on for a less than one minute, all the lights on the dash board will turn on, and the engine will have sudden loss of power. It can take up to an hour to get it to turn back on without it losing power again. If driven after it turn on without waiting at least 2 minutes, the car will suddenly lose power while in drive. This has been happening on an almost daily basis since 2019, which resulted in it being parked in the driveway for 6 months for fear it would turn off while driving on the freeway.
RECEIVED 'TRANSMISSION OVER TEMP' MESSAGE ON DASHBOARD AFTER ABOUT 10 MILES OF DRIVING IN THE MORNING. WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE HEAT FOR A WHILE, THE MESSAGE COULD APPEAR BEFORE 10 MILES (SOMETIMES IMMEDIATELY). THE FAN TURNS ON AND THERE IS A DEFINITE LAG IN ACCELERATION. ALONG WITH THIS ERROR, I ALSO GET THE 'SERVICE, TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM' MESSAGE CONSISTENTLY. I'VE VISITED MY MECHANIC WITH BOTH ISSUES AND THEY THOUGHT IT WAS FIXED BY THE NEW BATTERY, BUT THEY ONLY DROVE THE CAR FOR 8 MILES TO ATTEMPT GETTING THE TRANSMISSION HOT, NOR DID THEY PROBABLY HIT A BUMP/POTHOLE TO TRIGGER THE TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM. THEY'RE PUZZLED AS TO WHY THOSE MESSAGES ARE POPPING UP BECAUSE THEY DON'T SEE ANY FURTHER ISSUES WITH THE CAR.
SEAT BELTS WILL NOT LATCH UNLESS RELEASE IS DEPRESSED PRIOR TO INSERTING LATCH. THE CHIME AND LIGHT GO OFF CONTINUOUSLY AS YOU DRIVE BECAUSE IT IS NOT REGISTERING THAT THE SEAT BELT IS BUCKLED.
INTERIOR PLASTIC DOOR PARTS ARE BREAKING DUE TO CHEAP MATERIALS. TWO OF FOUR HANDLES ARE COMPLETELY BROKEN OFF AND INOPERABLE, CREATING A SAFETY HAZARD AS THEY CAN ONLY BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE.
2006 JEEP MODELS LONG WITH OTHER DODGE VEHICLES RE EXPERIENCING TIPM FAILURE AT THE FUEL PUMP RELAY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL WHILE DRIVING OR NOT BEING ABLE TO START FORM BEING PARKED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEATED, WHICH COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CROWN DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (6300 KING DR, VENTURA, CA 93003), BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY REPLACED THE MAIN COMPUTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 151,633.
FUSES KEEP COMING LOSE AND CAUSING ABS TO GO OFF WHEN YOU START OFF TO DRIVE AND OTHER ERROR MSGS TO LIGHT UP. PUSH BACK DOWN AND ITS GOOD FOR A WHILE.
I TRUCK IS NOT PULLING GOOD, I HAVE TO REALLY STEP ON THE GAS TO MAKE IT GO. EVEN IF IAM NOT GOING UP A HILL, I HAVE TO PRESS THE GAS HARD TO MAKE IT GO.
MY BRAKES LOCK ON ME WHEN DRIVING OR STOPPING MY ENGINE SHAKES AND RADDLED WHEN STOPPED AT A LIGHT OR PARKED
THE DASH IS FLASHING TELLING ME MY DRIVER DOOR IS OPEN WHEN CLEARLY IT'S CLOSED, WHICH THEN LEADS TO THE INTERIOR LIGHTS TO COME ON OR STAY ON EVEN AFTER PLACING THE SWITCH IN THE OFF POSITION. ALSO WITH SAID PROBLEM MY DOORS WON'T LOCK. THIS ALSO HAPPENS WHEN SAID VEHICLE ISN'T RUNNING .
ABS EAS AND TRACTION CONTROLL WARNING LIGHTS ON AGAIN WITH SERVICE 4WD SYSTEM MESSAGE AFTER COMPLETING 1ST RECALL, VEHICLE WAS JUST STARTED AND PUT IN TO DRIVE ACCELERATION TO 12 MPH CAUSES BAD GRINDING NOISE AND LOSS OF POWER JUST ABOUT ENOUGH TO GET YOU IN TO THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION VERY DANGEROUS THEN IT SEEMS TO CATCH AND REGAINS POWER THE WARNING LIGHTS STAY ON AND YOU CAN DRIVE IT ALL DAY WITH NO ISSUES BUT AS SOON AS YOU TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON IT WILL DO IT AGAIN.
RECENTLY BOUGHT OUR JEEP AND HAVE DIMMING LIGHTS DUE TO LOW IDLE AND ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH STARTING IT. THERE ARE TIMES IT WONT START UNLESS THE BATTERY IS DISCONNECTED AND RECONNECTED 5 MINS LATER AND THAT'S AFTER SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF AFTER DRIVING IT. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE WIRE HARNESS FROM THE BATTERY. THE LOW IDLE IS MAKING THE LIGHTS DIM THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE AND FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ON THAT IT NEEDS A SYSTEM UPDATE THAT CAN COST ROUGHLY 1000 WHICH I DONT HAVE. MY WIFE ALSO SAID WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING HOME THAT THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED ON HER FOR NO APPARENT REASON. SHE SAID SHE PULLED OVER AND PUT IT IN PARK AND BACK IN GEAR AND THEN IT ACTED FINE.
DASH LIGHTS FLICKERING AND KEEPS BLOWING FUSES AFFECTING RIGHT SIDE FRONT AND REAR MARKER LIGHTS (TAIL LIGHT AND FRONT MARKER LIGHT RIGHT SIDE ONLY) REPLACE THE FUSE AND IT MAY LAST A DAY OR IT MAY LAST A FEW MONTHS, I SEE LOTS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT FLICKERING AND I THINK IT'S A SHORT, THE FAN RELAY FOR THE HEATER MOTOR KEPT BLOWING AND AFTER REPLACING IT TWICE AND THE BLOWER MOTOR ONCE I FOUND THAT THE PROBLEM WAS IN THE CONNECTOR HARNESS (BAD SOLDER JOB AT THE CONNECTOR) BURNT SO BAD I'M SURPRISED IT DIDN'T CATCH FIRE!! IN MOTION AND PARKED.
RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO. THE DRIVER SEAT BOUNCES. THE DEALERSHIP WON'T FIX IT. IT IS THE CLOTH BUCKET SEAT WITH POWER ADJUSTMENT. THE FRONT ADJUSTING GEAR OF THE SEAT HAS STRIPPED AND A SPRING NOW BOUNCES THE SEAT.
THE VEHICLE STARTS UP GREAT NO ISSUES, THEN WITHIN 5 SECONDS CUTS IT'S SELF OFF. NO SPUTTERING OR CHOKING, IT'S NOT STALLING, THE COMPUTER IS TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF. THIS HAPPENS AT LEAST 1 OUT OF 3 TIMES STARTING IT AND SOMETIMES IF YOU KEEP STARTING IT IT WILL EVENTUALLY STAY IN, BUT OTHER TIMES IT LEAVES YOU STRANDED. THERE ARE 100S OF OTHER PEOPLE REPORTING THE SAME ISSUE BUT JEEP REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS AN ISSUE. THEY HAVE REPLACED THE PCM (OVER $2,000) REPAIR AND NOW WANT TO REPLACE 2 COMPONENTS FEEDING INTO THE PCM BC THE ISSUE PERSISTS BUT WON'T GUARANTEE THE FIX. I BELIEVE ME AND OTHERS DESERVE TO HAVE JEEP ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH THEIR JEEPS, THAT LEAVES THEIR DRIVERS STRANDED AND VULNERABLE.
I HAVE A 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SRT8 ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO I WAS LEAVING A STORE AT NIGHT WHEN I STARTED THE JEEP THE INDICATOR LIGHT FOR MY BRIGHT LIGHTS WAS ON I TRIED TO TURN THEM OFF NOTHING HAPPENED THEY WERE STUCK ON THEN I REALIZED I HAD NO TURN SIGNALS EITHER. WHEN I WENT INSIDE THE STORE THE BRIGHTS WERE NOT ON AND EVERYTHING WAS WORKING FINE. I WENT AHEAD AND DROVE HOME WITHOUT TURN SIGNALS AND MY BRIGHT LIGHTS STUCK ON ABOUT 10 MIN INTO MY DRIVE EVERYTHING STARTED WORKING AGAIN. THEN ABOUT A WEEK AGO AND I TURNED LEFT TO ENTER A HIGHWAY EVERYTHING INSIDE THE JEEP WENT BLACK I LOST ALL INTERIOR POWER GAUGES, INSTRUMENT PANEL, RADIO, AC, LIGHTS AND FANS THE JEEP STUTTERED BUT KEPT RUNNING WHEN THIS HAPPENED EVERYTHING CAME BACK ABOUT A MINUTE LATER. JUST NOW WHEN I WAS TAKING A LEFT TURN IT HAPPENED AGAIN EVERYTHING INSIDE THE JEEP DIED AGAIN AND CAME BACK ON ABOUT A MINUTE LATER. I HAVE ALREADY HAD MY IGNITION RECALL DONE ALSO SINCE THE RECALL WAS DONE HALF THE TIME WHEN I TRY TO START THE JEEP IT WILL JUST MAKE A CLICKING SOUND AND I HAVE TO TURN IT OVER A FEW TIMES AND HOLD THE KEY IN THE START POSITION UNTIL IT WILL FINALLY START.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
TAKATA RECALL, THE VEHICLE LIGHTS ON DASHBOARD, HEADLIGHTS AND THE AIR CONDITIONER STOP WORKING AND GAUGES ALSO CANNOT SEE ANYTHING OR READ SPEED LIMIT, GAS GAUGE GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY! THE LIGHT ALSO FLICKER ON AND OFF AND ALL LIGHT SYMBOLS APPEAR ON, AND THEN ONLY LIGHTS ON ESP BAS LIGHT! I AM AFRAID BECAUSE OF ALL POTENTIAL DANGERS OF HAVE. NO LIGHTS ON CAN HAVE, I DRIVE THE CAR WITH MY 3 CHILDREN AND WOULD HATE FOR ANYTHING TO HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. THE FLICKERING ALSO HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET, AM AFRAID OF GETTING PULLED OVER BECAUSE MY LIGHTS ARE FLASHING ON AND OFF BEHIND THEM.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN MY LOCAL SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD, AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 6 MILES, MY VEHICLE SHUTTERED AND THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS FLICKED ON AND OFF A FEW TIMES AND STARTED BEEPING. I GOT REALLY SCARED SO I PULLED OVER, TURNED THE CAR ON AND OFF AGAIN, AND THAT IS WHEN I NOTICED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS NOW ON. I IMMEDIETELY TOOK IT TO MY TRUSTWORTHY MEHANIC AND THAT IT WHEN HE TOLD ME THE CODE READER WAS GIVING AN ERROR CODE OF U1411 IGNITION SWITCH. I DID MY OWN RESEARCH AND DISCOVERED THAT MY VEHICLE FITS THE DESCRIPTION (YEAR/MAKE/MODEL) OF A RECALL THAT WAS DONE ON JEEPS 2006-2007 FOR FAULTY IGNITION SWITCHES.
I HAVE DID A TUNE UP AND CLEANED THE OIL MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON AND CHECK GAS CAP WON'T GO AWAY AFTER NUMEROUS TIMES OF CHANGING IT MY WHEELS AND STRUTS ARE DAMAGED

STEERING /ELECTRICAL IT START TO MALFUNCTION THE GAUGES ACT UP STEERING SEEMS TO LOCK ,I PULLED OVER ON ROAD SAT IN CAR FOR TWENTY MINUTES ,DISCONNECTED BATTERY /RECONNECTED THEN STARTED CAR TO GET TO DESTINATION ,SO I ONLY USE VEHICLE FOR LOCAL USE ,WORRIED ABOUT SAFETY FACTORS ON MY CAR
TAMARA RECALL I WAS INVOLVED IN A HIGH IMPACT CRASH ON MAY 5,2018 AND OUR AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY
ALL 4 INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAVE CRACKED AND BROKEN THE INTERIOR COMPONENT (INVOLVING THE HANDLE MECHANISM). THE RR HANDLE IS UNUSABLE AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. THE ADDITION INTERIOR HANDLES ARE CRACKED BUT REMAIN USABLE AT THIS TIME BUT WILL SOON FAIL. THE DESIGN OF THIS MODEL AS WELL AS SIMILAR JEEP MODELS IS A COMMON FAILURE. THIS CAN BE CONSIDERED A POTENTIAL SAFETY FAILURE IF THE HANDLE COMPLETELY FAILS AND PASSENGERS UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR RESULTING IN INJURY OR EVEN DEATH DURING AN ACCIDENT.
AFTER PURCHASING THIS CAR PRE-OWNED IN 2008 WE BEGAN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING. AFTER BRINGING BACK INTO DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, THEY FOUND NOTHING. THIS WENT ON FOR A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS, WITH THEM EVEN KEEPING THE CAR OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. STILL NOTHING ON THE DIAGNOSTICS. THROUGHOUT THE YEARS WE WOULD NOTICE A STRONG DOWNSHIFT WHEN COMING TO STOPS AND A "CHUG" WHEN SHIFTING OUT OF LOW GEARS. FAST FORWARD TO 2018. THE JEEP FINALLY QUIT SHIFTING OUT OF FIRST GEAR...THE RPMS WOULD RACE UP AND THE CAR JUST WOULDN'T SIFT EVEN WHEN USING SHIFTER STICK MANUALLY TO THE + OR -. BROUGHT TO LOCAL MECHANIC. DID DIAGNOSTICS. FOUND SHIFTER WAS BROKEN AND REPLACED AND RESET. A FEW DAYS WENT BY AND IT STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN. MECHANIC SAID THAT REAR WHEEL SENSOR HAD GONE BAD AND WAS THROWING OF COMPUTER BRAIN OF CAR, SO WE HAD HIM REPLACE THAT. ALL WAS GREAT. HUSBAND TAKES CAR ON SHORT TRIP AND WHILE PASSING A CAR IN THE LEFT LANE ON INTERSTATE 10 IT ONCE AGING CHUGS DOWN HARD AND HE LOSES GEARS...HAS TO PULL OVER ON SIDE OF INTERSTATE, SHUT OFF CAR AND RESTART TO GET IT TO SHIFT AGAIN. BOTTOM LINE IS THERE HAS TO BE A LONG STANDING ISSUE WITH DRIVE/POWER TRAIN & ELECTRICAL/COMPUTER BRAIN!!! WE HAVE KEPT THIS CAR IN GREAT WORKING ORDER, REGULARLY CHANGING FLUIDS AND MAINTENANCING. THERE IS NO REASON THIS CARE SHOULD BE BEHAVING IN THIS MANNER @ 12 YEARS OLD, REGULARLY MAINTAINED UNLESS THERE IS AN OUTSTANDING ISSUE WITH 2006 JEEPS. IT HAS TO BE AN OVERALL PROBLEM AND AFTER READING MANY OF THE COMPLAINTS WE BELIEVE THIS WARRANTS AN INVESTIGATION AND DEFINTELY A RECALL!!! ALL OF THE ABOVE ISSUES HAPPENED IN BOTH CITY STREET AND HIGHWAY SITUATIONS AND WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION.

BOTH FRONT SEAT BELTS ARE JAMMED AND WILL NOT LOCK WITHOUT TAPPING DOWN OUT BUTTON AND FORCING DOWN BELT INTO HOLDER ARM. AFTER SEAT BELT IN SNAPPED INTO PLACE THE AIR BAG LIGHT REMAIN ON FOR DURATION OF DRIVE.
AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY IN CRASH . IMPACT ON FRONT OF VEHICLE. VEHICLE ALSO ROLLED ON SIDE AND RIGHT WHEEL AND BODY ASSEMBLE BROKE OFF CAR. CAR WAS ON FREEWAY AT 55MPH AT START OF ACCIDENT. BATTERY BROKE FREE OF MOUNT EVEN THOUGH AREA AROUND TRAY WAS NOT DAMAGED

THE DEALER (LEN STOLER CHRYSLER, DODGE, AND JEEP, 1001 BALTIMORE BLVD, WESTMINSTER, MD 21157, (410) 876-8800) REPLACED A PART ASSOCIATED WITH THE IGNITION WHICH HAD TOOK LONGER THAN 6 TO 8 WEEKS TO RECEIVE. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL AFTER THE PART WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.

MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY, ON A STRAIGHT-AWAY. I HEARD A LOUD BOOM, THEN MY VEHICLE STARTED TO SMOKE. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD; AND CALLED FOR A TOW. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT IT WAS THE TRANSFER CASE SEAL THAT BLEW. HE CHANGED IT AND ADDED FLUID, BUT THE NOISE IS STILL THERE. HE SAID THAT IF IT DOESN'T GO AWAY. NOW, THE JEEP WON'T SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR. IT HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY SINCE I PICKED IT UP FROM THE MECHANIC ON 12/4/17.
THE CAR SHUT OFF LOST ALL POWER CONTROL PANEL WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MILES PER HOUR I QUICKLY WIGGLED THE KEY(IGNITION SWITCH ) AND THE CAR BEGAN TO RUN AGAIN
IN THE LAST MONTH OR SO, I'VE NOTICED THAT THE SEATBELT WON'T STAY COMPLETELY LATCHED WITH THE BUCKLE IN THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS. THIS CAUSES THE SEATBELT LIGHT TO COME IN AT RANDOM TIMES. IN ORDER TO BUCKLE THE SEAT BELT, YOU ALSO NEED TO DEPRESS THE RED BUCKLE BUTTON SLIGHTLY AND INSERT THE LATCH PLATE.
1ST RECALL RECIEVED IN 2014 ABOUT A MOTH AFTER PURCHASE SAID THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS FAULTY CAUSING LOSS OF POWER. TO DATE HAVE HAD THE IGNITION REPLACED 2X. IT STIL LOOSES POWER WHILE IN MOTION FROM 45MPH TO 70MPH. HAVE HAD MANY REPAIRS DONE CLAIMING TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND NOTHING HAS WORKED. DEALERSHIP KEEPS SAYING THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. WHEN IT LOOSE ALL POWER I HAVE APPROX. 20 SECONDS TO MAKE IT TO THE SHOULDER. HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT SEVERAL TIMES ON THE FREEWAY. THIS HAPPENS ON A DAILY BASIS. MY HUSBAND AND I FEEL LIKE IT MAY BE AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE SOMEWHERE THAT NO ONE CAN SEEM TO FIND
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WHERE MY JEEP RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I HAVE USUALLY BEEN ON CITY STREETS, SOME TIMES I CAN BE SITTING IN ONE SPOT, MOVING REALLY SLOW, OR EVEN HIT A BUMP AND IT SHUTS DOWN.
WHEN DRIVER OR PARKED AND IDLING THE DASH, INDICATOR LIGHTS, HEADLIGHTS, TAIL LIGHTS, SPEEDOMETER COMPLETELY LOSE POWER. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS CAUSING A VERY SERIOUS HAZARD.
"TAKATA RECALL" WHEN I CLICK THE CRUISE CONTROL IT SPEEDS UP UNCONTROLLABLY AND I HAVE TO HIT THE BRAKES SEVERAL TIMES TO DISCONNECT IT. IT DOES NOT SET A CONTROL AT ALL AND CONTINUES TO CLIMB IN SPEED.
MY DOOR HANDLES HAVE ALL BROKEN WITHIN THE FIRST 3 YEARS OF OWNING MY CAR AND LUCKILY I HAD A WARRENTY. NOW THEY ARE BROKEN AGAIN.THIS IS A HUGE SAFETLY ISSUE FOR MY CHILD IN THE BACK SEAT WHO CANT GET OUT FOR SCHOOL AND IF I WERE IN AN ACCIDENT HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR. NOT HAPPY THAT THERE IS NO RECALL TO PROTECT JEEP CUSTOMERS.
