FIRST, CRANK BUT NO START FOR PROBLEM FOR 2 YEARS FOUND IT WAS THE TIPM THAT COST ME $300, NOW IT'S A PROBLEM WITH THE FDCM, THE JEEP WOULD NOT DRIVE FORWARD, I'VE GOTTON STUCK ON THE ROADS MANY TIMES WITHOUT NO WARNING SOMETHING WITH THE PROGRAM. HELP ME!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD BECOME INOPERABLE INTERMITTENTLY AFTER THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FREEDOM CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (LOCATED AT 6060 ALLENTOWN BLVD, HARRISBURG, PA), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED MORE FREQUENTLY AFTER BEING REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED ON VARIOUS OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 101,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE GEAR SHIFTER SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL INDEPENDENTLY. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V175000 (POWER TRAIN, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,000.
INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE (REAR PASSENGER) BROKE WHILE CHILD WAS OPENING DOOR TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. FRONT HANDLES ARE SHOWING CRACKING AS WELL. REAR SEAT PASSENGER IS UNABLE TO OPEN DOOR AND MUST BE LET OUT FROM THE EXTERNAL HANDLE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND COULD CAUSE PASSENGER TO BECOME TRAPPED DURING AN ACCIDENT.
LESS THEN 30 DAYS AGO I PURCHASED A USED 2006 JEEP CHEROKEE LAREDO 4X2. THE DEALER SAID THE AIRBAG SENSOR JUST NEEDED REPLACED NO BIG DEAL. NOW I AM EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING AS ALOT OF OLDER PEOPLE. THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT STARTED NOT LATCHING UNLESS I PRESS DOWN ON THE RED BUTTON. SO THEN THE RED SEAT BELT INDICATOR LIGHT WON'T GO OFF AND THE AUDIBLE CHIMES CONTINUOUSLY AND WILL NOT SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING NO MATTER WHAT I DO. MOVING THE SEAT BELT AROUND TO TRY AND GET THE CHIME TO STOP AS WELL AS THE AUDIBLE CHIMING WHILE DRIVING MAKES IT VERY ANNOYING AND DISTRACTING FROM THE ROAD. I NEED ANSWERS ON WHY THIS SHOULD BE AT MY COST WHEN BETWEEN THE AIRBAG AND SEAT BELT SENSORS ARE TRULY SAFETY ISSUE. THEIR IS NO WARRANTY AT 154457 MILES. PLEASE ADVISE ON THE AIRBAG RECALL ETC... THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON WHEN PURCHASED 7/18/17. THE SEAT BELT CHIMING AND LIGHT STARTED STAYING ON 8/10/17.
SLOWLY PULLING UP TO A FOOD MART, I APPLIED BRAKE TO COME TO A NORMAL STOP. JEEP SLOWED SLIGHTLY FOR A BRIEF MOMENT, THEN SUDDENLY AND POWERFULLY ACCELERATED APPROX. 3 FEET FORWARD INTO THE BUILDING WHILE MY FOOT REMAINED FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE, CAUSING DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLE AND STOREFRONT. A DANGEROUS DESIGN FLAW, THIS IS THE 2ND TIME THE ACCELLERATION PROBLEM IT HAS OCCURRED (LOCAL AUTHORIZED DEALER THOUGHT IT WAS FIXED). I'VE SINCE FOUND MANY INSTANCES ONLINE WITH OTHER JEEP OWNERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME EXACT THING - SOME OF WHICH RESULTED IN FATALITIES. THE CAUSE OF THIS ACCIDENT WAS TOTAL BRAKE FAILURE, AND SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELLERATION (SUA) - AN ISSUE WHICH FORMER CONNECTICUT ATTORNEY GENERAL (AND CURRENT SENATOR) HAS URGED GENERAL MOTORS TO ADDRESS ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS.
IT SHOWS TRANSMISSION OVER HEAT, MANY TIMES WE JUST RAN LIKE 2 -3 MILES.
VALVE SEAT DROPPED INTO #4 CYLINDER HEAD ON A WARM RESTART. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY & NOT OVERHEATED. VEHICLE WAS AT REST IN A PARKING LOT. CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE FOLLOWED.
ESM (ELECTRONIC SHIFT MODULE) IS FAULTY ON THESE MODELS; 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THIS ISSUE DOES NOT ALLOW THE SHIFTER TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THEREFORE THE VEHICLE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT GEAR IT NEEDS TO BE IN. AFTER HAVING RERESEARCHED ONLINE THIS IS A KNOW, COMMON ISSUE. THIS IS A SERIOUS DANGER AS THE VEHICLE GOES INTO "LIMP" MODE; (WON'T PROPERLY ACCELERATE). THIS CAN HAPPEN UNDER MANY DRIVING CONDITIONS, CITY OR HIGHWAY. IMAGINE ENTERING TRAFFIC AT A BUSY INTERSECTION AND SUDDENLY LOSING THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS, AS HAVE MANY OTHER INDIVIDUALS ACCORDING TO INTERNET RESEARCH. IT SEEMS THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS OF THE ISSUE. WHY HASN'T THERE BEEN A RECALL?
MUST PRESS RED BUTTON TO GET DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT BELT TO LATCH. SEAT BELT CHIME STAYS ON.
BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT BELTS WILL NOT LATCH UNLESS I PRESS THE 'RELEASE' BUTTON AND PUSH THE BUCKLE INTO THE LATCH. THE SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT WILL ALSO NOT TURN OFF.
TAKATA RECALL...ALL FOUR INSIDE DOOR HANDLES ARE BROKEN, AND THE RIGHT REAR WON'T OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. MY DAUGHTER WAS SICK AND SHE WAS TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE CAR BUT COULDN'T OPEN THE DOOR. WE WERE PARKED AT THE TIME.
2006 "LAREDO 4WD" SERIES JUST LIKE ALL 2005-2010 REGULAR JEEP CHEROKEE SERIES HAS 1000'S OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ON MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES WITH INNER SECTION OF ALL 4 DOORS + HOW CHEAP THIS TERRIBLE PLASTIC COMPONENTS ON ALL (4) DOOR HANDLES AND REQUIRES COMPLETE INNER DOOR PANELS @ $500 EACH (NOT INCLUDING LABOR). CHEAP PLASTIC DOOR PANEL MATERIAL IS HONESTLY ABLE TO BE SNAPPED WITH FINGERS. I PURCHASED A USED SAID VEHICLE N FIRST WEEK HAD A/C GOING OFF N ON RETURNED SEVERAL TIMES TO BE REPAIRED. SAME PROBLEM WARRANTY RAN OUT AFTER 60 DAYS..GOT DIAGNOSTIC FROM ADVANCED AUTO CODE STATED MISFIRED CYLINDERS...RETURNED AGAIN CLAIM THEY WOULD FIX AFTER THIS I WOULD HAVE TO PAY...CURRENTLY RUMBLING NOISE FROM BACK OF MY CAR TOOK TO WILLIAMSTON AUTO REPAIR GOT DIAGNOSTIC ON LIFT WAS TOLD HAD FOUR MISFIRED CYLINDERS N THAT CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IN WATER. RUST ALL AROUND ENTIRE CAR TO TOUCH PIECES FALLS OFF AND RUST INSIDE CAR.MECHANIC STATED THIS MUST BE A FLOOD CAR.

THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROADWAY TO INSPECT UNDERNEATH IT AND NOTICED THAT THE SKID PLATE UNDER THE FUEL TANK WAS BENT AND ROTTING AWAY. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY AT THE DEALER (BOB RICHARDS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM 1666 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, GRANITEVILLE, SC 29829 (855) 984-5458) FOR POWER STEERING REPLACEMENT AND TRANSMISSION INSPECTION. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS ON THE LIFT FOR THE TRANSMISSION INSPECTION, THE DEALER'S MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE SKID PLATE WAS DAMAGED, WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN A FIRE HAZARD WITH A FUEL LEAK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO BOB RICHARDS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1666 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, GRANITEVILLE, SC 29829 (855) 984-5458) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SKID PLATE WAS GONE AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR REPAIRS DUE TO THE LESS EXPENSIVE COST. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED AND THE IGNITION WOULD INADVERTENTLY TURN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE WIRING HARNESS AND NOT THE IGNITION SWITCH. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED AND THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF, IT RESTARTED ITSELF SECONDS LATER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 152,000.
INTERIOR DOOR LATCH MECHANISMS ARE BREAKING MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN DOORS FROM INSIDE.
SEAT BELT LATCH ON PASSENGER FRONT WILL NOT LATCH WITHOUT PUSHING THE RED BUTTON IN AND WILL NOT TURN OFF RED INDICATOR LIGHT ON DASH. ALL THE INTERIOR DOOR LATCH HANDLES ARE BREAKING OR ARE ALREADY BROKEN MAKING IT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN DOOR FROM INSIDE. BOTH WOULD BE DANGEROUS IN AN ACCIDENT SITUATION.
CONTINUED STALLING ISSUES BECAUSE OF IGNITION SWITCH RECALL. HAD THE RECALL SERVICE PERFORMED AND IT IS STILL HAVING STALLING ISSUES TO THE POINT THAT WITHOUT THEY KEY IN THE IGNITION THE VEHICLE WILL SHIFT INTO GEAR. LAST OCCURRENCE IT WOULDN'T TURN OVER AND WHEN IT DID A HORRENDOUS SOUND CAME FROM THE ENGINE. NEEDS NEW MOTOR PER MECHANIC.
INNER INTERIOR INSIDE DOOR HANDLES CRACKED MAKING THE DOOR INOPERABLE FROM THE INTERIOR. MY NINE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER CLOSED THE DOOR WITH REGULAR FORCE AND THE INNER DOOR HANDLE CRACKED. UPON TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR, THE PLASTIC COMPLETELY BROKE MAKING THE DOOR INOPERABLE. THIS TRAPPED HER INSIDE AND PREVENTED HER FROM EXITING. ON A SEPARATE OCCASION, ANOTHER INNER DOOR HANDLE BROKE ON THE SAME VEHICLE AND CUT MY HAND ON THE SHARP PLASTIC AS I TRIED TO OPEN THE DOOR. THIS WOULD BE A SERIOUS ISSUE IN AN EMERGENCY. ALL 4 ARE NOW CRACKED OR BROKEN WITH NO EVIDENCE OF EXCESSIVE USE OR IMPROPER USE. NO EXCESSIVE IMPACT TO THE INNER DOOR HANDLES HAS EVER BEEN NOTICED. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM REPORTED BY MANY JEEP OWNERS ON JEEP FORUM WEBSITES.
DASH LIGHTS FLASHING WHEN HEADLIGHTS ARE ON. THIS CAUSES A BIG DISTRACTION AT NIGHT WHEN DRIVING. ALSO MAKES THE STEREO LIGHTS FLASH. HAS BEEN GOING ON EVERYDAY FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS.
WHEN DRIVING 60 MPH, GOING DOWN A HILL, CLUTCH IN TRANSFER CASE SLIPPED. CAUSING SLIPPING/GRINDING NOISE AND VEHICLE MUST BE STOPPED, PUT IN PARK AND RESTARTED TO RESET THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENED ONCE, I WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE JEEP WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO SAID THAT THE CLUTCH IN THE TRANSFER CASE SLIPPED.

AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED AND BEFORE LEAVING THE DEALER, THE CONTACT NOTICED AND INQUIRED AS TO WHY IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR THE KEY TO BE TURNED IN THE IGNITION. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE IGNITION WAS NEW AND IT WOULD LOOSEN IN TIME. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE HAD TO WIGGLE AND TURN THE KEY SEVERAL TIMES TO TURN THE IGNITION ON. THE FOLLOWING DAY, AFTER WIGGLING THE KEY SEVERAL TIMES, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME AND WAS ABLE TO START SEVERAL HOURS LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. THE SWITCH WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED WHILE STILL AT THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK INTO THE DEALER'S GARAGE AND THE TECHNICIAN WORKED SOME MORE ON THE IGNITION, BUT NO ISSUES COULD BE FOUND. AFTERWARDS, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY WAS STILL DIFFICULT TO TURN IN THE IGNITION. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AND THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE BECAUSE THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED TWICE FOR FREE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 160,000.
I TOO HAVE HAD THE ISSUE WITH THE SEAT BELTS NOT LOCKING UNLESS PUSHING DOWN RED RELEASE .BEFORE THAT HAPPENED THOUGH,THE LATCH LOST CONTACT AND BELL CHIMED TILL IGNITION WAS TURNED OFF AS THE SEAT REGISTERS WHEN BODY IS IN SEAT.I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY ACTED STUPID BUT DID GIVE ME MANEUVER TO DEACTIVATE CHIME WHICH CAN BE FOUND ON YOUTUBE ALSO.MY OTHER ISSUE HAPPENED WITHIN THE FIRST 500 MILES OF BEING NEW.EXHAUST MANIFOLD ON LEFT SIDE FAILED AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE GASKET AND FIXED.THEN 2 YEARS LATER THE OTHER SIDE DID SAME THING AND THEY FIXED.THEN AFTER WARRANTY WAS OVER THE LEFT SIDE WENT AGAIN.THIS TIME THEY SAID IT WAS CRACKED STUD AND THEY WANTED 1200 TO DRILL IT OUT AND REPLACE.I CALLED CHRYSLER OUT ON THIS AND AFTER BACK AND FORTH THEY FINALLY TOOK CARE OF IT.WELL THAT SAME SIDE HAS NOISE AGAIN HUH

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
I HAD MY IGNITION SWITCH REPLACED AS A RESULT OF RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 NEARLY A YEAR AGO. NOW I AM EXPERIENCING THE SAME DASH LIGHTS FLASHING AND BLOWER NOT WORKING PROBLEM AS OTHERS WHILE DRIVING. THIS PROBLEM IS OCCURRING MORE FREQUENTLY. TODAY AFTER PARKING, I DEPRESSED THE KEY SWITCH TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF (THE NEWLY DESIGNED SWITCH MUST BE PRESSED IN FOR IT TO TURN) AND ALL THE DASH LIGHTS LIT UP AND BLOWER STOPPED. RELEASING THE SWITCH RETURNED THE DASH LIGHTS TO NORMAL. DEPRESSING THE KEY CAUSED THE LIGHTS TO TURN ON AGAIN. I WAS ABLE TO REPEAT THIS SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE IT STOPPED. OBVIOUSLY THE NEW KEY SWITCH DESIGN IS CONTRIBUTING TO THE DASH LIGHT PROBLEM AS WELL. I WILL BE BRINGING THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE KEY SWITCH REPLACED AGAIN.
THE SEAT BELT FIRST STARTED NOT BUCKLING UNLESS I PUSHED DOWN THE RED BUTTON. THEN IT BEGIN TO CHIME WHEN SOMEONE IS SITTING IN THE SEAT WITH THE SEAT BELT BUCKLED. THE BUCKLE MUST BE HELD A CERTAIN WAY FOR IT NOT TO CHIME WHILE IN MOTION. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THE DEALER IS CHARGING APPROXIMATELY $900-$975 TO REPLACE BOTH SEAT BELTS. THIS SHOULD BECOME A RECALL FOR THE SAFETY ISSUE PLUS LOTS OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED AND REPLACED THE DRIVESHAFT AND CRANK CASE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 170,000.
I WAS TOLD AT THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM THAT ALL THE RECALLS HAD BEEN DONE. I HAVE A SERVICE 4-WHEEL DRIVE LIGHT NOW. THE JEEP SEEMS TO GO INTO NEUTRAL AT RANDOM TIMES. RIGHT AFTER IT IS STARTED AND DRIVING ON THE ROAD. THIS WAS A USED JEEP THAT I BOUGHT IN DEC. 2016. SHORTY AFTER I BOUGHT THE JEEP THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON SHOWING AN EMISSION CODE AND THEN THE TRANSMISSION QUIT WORKING. THE TRANSFER CONTROL QUIT WORKING AFTER THEY WORKED ON IT. I NO LONGER HAVE 4-WHEEL LOW OR CAN I PUT IT INTO NEUTRAL. BUT IT SEEMS TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AT RANDOM TIMES. I HAVE NO CONTROL ON IF OR WHEN IT WILL SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL SO I GUESS AT THIS POINT I HAVE YARD ART. THE DEALER JUST WANTS TO THROW PARTS AT IT UNTIL ITS FIXED. THEY CLAIM THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE JEEP. OR WE DON'T KNOW WHAT COULD BE WRONG WITH THE JEEP BUT WE WILL FIX IT TO THE TUNES OF THOUSANDS OF $

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 153,000.
THREE OF THE FOUR DOOR HANDLES ON THE INTERIOR HAVE BROKEN, ONLY THE DRIVER DOOR HANDLE WORKS AND IN AN EMERGENCY NO PASSENGERS WILL BE ABLE TO GET OUT WITHOUT ASSISTANCE FROM OUTSIDE.

TRACTION CONTROL KICKS ON FOR 5-30 SECONDS AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND ROAD CONDITIONS. IT HAS COME ON GOING 80MPH, COME ON FROM A STOP, GOING 30 MPH ON A CITY STREET. NOT SURE IF THAT IS WHY BRAKES EXPLODED AND BROKE APART. ALL TIRES SAME SIZE.

THE FAULTY VALVE SEATS FAILED AND DESTROYED MY ENGINE WHICH LEFT ME STRANDED WHILE TRAVELING OUT OF TOWN. ENGINEERS KNOW THE DESIGN WAS FAULTY AS REVISION TO ADDRESS THIS SITUATION WERE MADE IN 2008 TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM FOR THE NEWER MODELS. A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED FOR THE EARLIER MODELS TO HAVE THE REVISED SEATS INSTALLED. THIS IS NEGLIGENT AND WILL HURT THE CHRYSLER NAME IF NOT ADDRESSED SOON. AFTER A FEW MONTHS THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT LIGHT BEGAN ILLUMINATING AND CHIMING BUT THE BUCKLE WAS LATCHED. I LOOKED UP SEATBELT REPLACEMENTS AND THE DEALER CHARGES ABOUT $200 EACH FOR JUST THE BUCKLES. I WAS AMAZED THAT THIS IS NOT A RECALL AFTER RESEARCHING AND SEEING HUNDREDS OF POSTS JUST LIKE THIS ONE. HOW CAN THIS BE PETITIONED FOR A RECALL? WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK, WITH THE KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION, ONE OF MY MEMBERS OF MY FAMILY WAS ABLE TO SHIFT THE GEARS FROM PARK TO NATURAL. THE SUV WAS PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY WHICH HAS A SLIGHT DECLINE IN SLOPE. DUE TO THE DECLINE AND THE VEHICLE BEING IN NEUTRAL IT STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS WITH MY FAMILY MEMBER INSIDE. WE WERE CLEANING THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT SO ALL THE DOORS WERE OPEN. THE JEEP PICKED UP SPEED, HIT OUR FENCE, AND ROLLED OUT ONTO A PUBLIC ROAD AND INTO OUR NEIGHBOR'S YARD.
