WHILE DRIVING MY 2011 GRAND CHEROKEE AND MY SPEED WAS 50MPH THE CAR START LOSING POWER,START DROPPING FROM 50MPH TO 45PMH TO 40MPH TO 35MPH AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE AT ALL, AND I REALIZED THAT THE CAR GOING TO STOP ,SO I WAS LUCKY TO ENTER TO PARKING LOT AREA WERE MY CAR STALLED. I TRIED TO START THE CAR ON BUT THE CAR WONT START. AFTER BEING TOWED TO THE DEALER AND TELL THEM ABOUT THE INCLUDING THE DEALER CALLED ME AFTER COUPLE HOURS AND TOLD ME THAT THE FUEL PUMP IS NOT GOOD AND I NEED TO REPLACE IT. THREE MONTHS AGO I HAD MY CAR IN THE SAME DEALER FOR THE P54 RECALL WERE MY CAR WAS INSPECTED AND INSTALLED EXTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY WERE THE MILEAGE WERE 54,224. WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPEN THE MILEAGE WERE 57,626 . MY CAR NEVER LOST POWER BEFORE, I THINK THIS HAPPEN AFTER PERFORMED THE P54 RECALL INTO MY CAR. THE DEALER IS ASKING FOR $ 823 TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP. I THANK GOD CAUSE I WAS LUCKY TO ENTER THE PARKING LOT AREA CAUSE OTHERWISE MY CAR WOULD STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROAD AND LEAD TO RISK OF CRASH. *TR

A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUN VISOR, ROOF LINER, AIR BAGS, STEERING COLUMN, AND OTHER MULTIPLE PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V391000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. I LEFT MY CAR IN WITH DARCARS JEEP OF ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND ON APRIL 2ND FOR A ROUTINE SERVICE AND TO COMPLETE ANY RECALLS. DARCARS INFORMED ME THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO COMPLETE ONE OF THE RECALLS (RECALL NUMBER 14V154000) ON THE CAR BECAUSE CRISWELL JEEP OF GAITHERSBURG (A DEALERSHIP THAT I USED IN OCTOBER 2014) CLAIMED THEY HAD ALREADY PERFORMED THE WORK FOR THE RECALL AND HAD BEEN PAID BY JEEP, HOWEVER THE WORK WAS NEVER ACTUALLY DONE. JEEP IS REFUSING TO PAY FOR THIS RECALL BECAUSE CRISWELL, ONE OF THEIR LICENSED DEALERSHIPS, IS NOT BEING HONEST. A DEALERSHIP LYING ABOUT PERFORMING RECALLS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY VIOLATION AND SHOULD BE REVIEWED IMMEDIATELY BY YOUR AGENCY. THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY LOWERED APPROXIMATELY 6 TO 8 INCHES. WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED, THE "IMMEDIATE AIR SUSPENSION REPAIR REQUIRED" MESSAGE DISPLAYED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE QUADRA LIFT SYSTEM WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE RECALL. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE RECALL LETTER STATED THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. HOWEVER, THE LETTER STATED IF A FAILURE HAD BEEN EXPERIENCE TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTATION. THE CONSUMER SUBMITTED THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION . CHRYSLER INFORMED THE CONSUMER BECAUSE SHE HAD A THIRD PARTY EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH A $300 DEDUCTIBLE THAT CHRYSLER WOULD ONLY REIMBURSE $50 FOR THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE. CHRYSLER'S RATIONALE FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT AMOUNT WAS THE FOLLOWING: IN THE SAME VISIT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE WAS REPAIRED, THE CONSUMER HAD A DOOR REPAIRED, WHICH COST $200 AND A $30 CAR RENTAL WAS LISTED ON THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT.

THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIPM WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,049.

INTERMITTENTLY, THE VEHICLE WILL CRANK BUT NOT START ON THE FIRST TRY. USUALLY ONLY HAPPENS IF VEHICLE HAS BEEN SITTING FOR SEVERAL HOURS. SOMETIMES IT WILL START, BUT IMMEDIATELY STALL. *TR
AS I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVING, I HEARD A POP, AND GOT OUT TO INVESTIGATE, AND NOTICED THE RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE, TIE ROD END HAD COME LOOSE FROM THE TIE ROD. IT WAS NOT BROKEN BUT HAD LITERALLY COME APART. AFTER THE PART WAS TAKEN OFF, WE COULD SEE THAT THE THREADS ON THE TIE ROD WERE STRIPPED DOWN AROUND THE BOTTOM OF SHAFT. I TOOK THE PART TO MY DEALER, AND HE SAID, THAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. I HAVE CONTACTED THE MAKERS OF JEEP, BUT HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING BACK AS OF YET. THIS IS A FAULTY PART, AND COULD HAVE CAUSED A TRAGIC ACCIDENT. *TR

WHEN DRIVING VEHICLE IT WILL JUST SHUT DOWN LIKE IT RAN OUT OF GAS AND IT WON'T CRANK BACK UP,YOU CAN LEAVE IT FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS AND COME BACK AND IT WILL CRANK BACK UP AND IF YOU ARE LUCKY WE CAN GET IT BACK HOME. I KNOW THERE IS A RECALL ON THESE 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES AND I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO TO GET OURS FIXED SEEING AS TO WE JUST BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE AND CAN'T DRIVE IT IN FEAR OF BEING STRANDED OR CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. THE RECALL FOR THE TIPM WAS ISSUED IN OCTOBER 2014 (P54/NHTSA 14V-530) AND THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AS OF MARCH 3, 2015. I NEED MORE OF AN UPDATE THAN, SORRY WE KNOW YOUR CAR HAS A SAFETY ISSUE, BUT WE DON'T HAVE THE PARTS. IF IT'S ENOUGH OF A SAFETY CONCERN THAT THEY NOTIFY ME EACH MONTH OF THE FAILURE TO HAVE INVENTORY, PERHAPS THEY SHOULD SAVE THE POSTAGE AND FOCUS ON PURCHASING THE PARTS. I AM TIRED OF WAITING. *TR

STALLS WHILE DRIVING, DE-ACCELERATING FROM HIGHWAY SPEED (60MPH+) BETWEEN 30-40MPH WHEN BRAKING PREPARING TO MAKE A TURN, CAUSING LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. HAS NEVER HAPPENED WITH IN TOWN DRIVING. THERE IS P14 RECALL ON MODEL YEAR 2011-2014 CHRYSLER, JEEP AND DODGE VEHICLES. THEY ARE CLAIMING MY CAR WHICH A 2011 JEEP GC IS NOT UNDER THIS RECALL. COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO THEY INSTALLED A PROTECTIVE BRAKE BOOSTER SHIELD, WHEN THEY ACTUALLY SHOULD HAVE REPLACED AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. I HAVE BRAND NEW BRAKES AND BRAKE PADS, THE BRAKE BOOSTER IS SIMPLY LEAKING DUE TO PREMATURE CORROSION. FEW DAYS AGO WE ALMOST CRASHED WITH OUR NEWBORN DAUGHTER AT 40 MILES AN HOUR BECAUSE THE BRAKE BOOSTER WAS NOT WORKING. WE HEARD THE AIR ESCAPING WHEN PRESSING THE BRAKE, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND REPLACE THE BRAKE BOOSTERS ON THESE JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES. *TR
THE LEATHER DASH IS BUBBLING CAUSING THE DASH GRILL TO POP UP AND BREAK TABS. IT IS CAUSING A REFLECTION IN THE WINDOW CAUSING UNSAFE DRIVING.

THE MATERIALS FROM THE CEILING WERE DROPPING ONTO THE DRIVER SEAT AND BURNED THE SEAT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A STORAGE LOT. MY 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE DIES ON ME WHEN I START TO DECELERATE WHEN APPROACHING A STOP SIGN/SIGNAL LIGHT. WHEN IT DOES DIE THERE ARE NO DUMMY LIGHTS AND IT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS DUE TO THE FACT WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER VEHICLE WHENEVER IT DECIDES TO DIE.
