While traveling/driving with the ADAS on, the brakes slam on detecting a front end impact. The dash board disappears and the word BRAKE in all red capital lettering with a very loud beeping coming through the speakers happens. The first time it happened was in Oct of 2023 and has happened every time I travel using the ADAS. I have made an appt every time I’ve gotten back to town after traveling to have it looked at. #1 I’ve been told they can’t find a problem with it, #2 It’s been recalibrated 3 times and the service manager even asked for my permission to take my vehicle to his personal home for the weekend so that he could follow the FCA guidelines after it was recalibrated because it had to sit for a time period before it was drove. My Jeep App can show the history of its location. While traveling home the weekend of April 26, 2024 the brakes slammed on 3 times simultaneously causing all traffic behind me to lock up their brakes. Had I gotten hit I would’ve become a human pin ball across 3 lanes of Interstate 80/90. When I pulled off on the side of road so did the vehicle who almost hit me, I was so shook up I was in tears #3 I got told to not use the feature since I knew there was a problem, #4 I asked if there was something they could install to record what’s going on #5 they finally installed an “In flight recording module” the time before I drove home but upon return saying it recorded information but that they don’t know the reason why it’s doing it or how to fix it. I’ve never received a single invoice from the dealership when I’ve taken it in for this EVER!!!! I’ve only been told they have “Star cases” on it and that is enough to prove its a “buy back or lemon”, the last message I received from a Service Rep at the dealership was from Jul 25, 2024 about seeking a buy back. I sent a message today (Aug 25, 2024) asking for a plan or solution to this problem. I’ve heard nothing yet again from anyone!!!!!! I’m beyond frustrated!!!!!!!!!
After starting the vehicle, I placed it in reverse and warning light came on - steering unavailable, lane change and collision warning unavailable. I was not able to steer the vehicle. Shut engine off several times and had the same problem. Later in the day, I started the vehicle with no problems. Called the dealer and they said that there was nothing they could do until it happens to them.
In Hybrid mode, the transition from gas to battery power is clunky. It surges forward unpredictably and takes a bit to respond when the pedal is pressed. This erratic forward surge has happened several times, including once while my child was drinking water – which spilled all over him. The brakes are hard to modulate and are never consistent. When driving in e-save there is an awful engine noise. I typically only try to drive the vehicle in electric mode, but that only lasts to a point. At higher speeds and/or further acceleration, the gas engine kicks on- loudly- and without warning. There is no consistency in when to anticipate this abrupt change in how the vehicle drives as it happens at different intervals (ranging from 0%-3% battery left). This vehicle drives erratically, and I do not trust myself or my children riding in it. On top of this, there have been at least three safety recalls on this in three months. Therefore, I do not drive this vehicle unless necessary. Thus, $60,000 is basically parked in my garage with minimal to no use. I have even recently updated my insurance to reflect that it is not in use.
Twice in the last month I was driving to work on a two lane road without any objects in the roadway and the forward collision warning system automatically applied the breaks hard enough for my coffee to splash out of my coffee cup. It occurred at almost the same spot on the road. However, I drive this road at least twice a day. I'm concerned that it might apply the breaks randomly while driving on the highway, thus causing an accident. I have reported it to the dealer. Despite me relaying my safety concern to them, I am unable to get an appointment until July 8th.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the third-row driver’s and passenger’s side seat belt fasteners were not secure while using car seats. The contact stated that the car seats were not locked securely, and he was able to move the car seat 6'inches away from the seat. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,200.
Two problems: 1- this happened twice, after shutting and exiting the vehicle with the key fob, the vehicle goes crazy, lights start flashing, horn honking and the doors auto lock - very dangerous as my child was locked in the car for a few minutes until i was able to play with the key enough to get it to unlock. problem #2 driving vehicle and as coming to slow down it auto shuts off in middle of road, when trying to put it back into gear it says put foot on break and restart the car. it did restart but it is super dangerous as the car behind me could've hit me as it suddenly stopped.
Turn signals are blinking at slow/abnormal rate after car was put into repair. Appears to have been after a software update. Multiple vehicle owners reporting same issue.
The issue only occurs when holding down a +/- button to move the speed control to a high/lower set-point greater than a one mph increment. When, after being held, the button is released at the desired new speed level, it continues to increase/decrease speed until the speed control is turned off, cancelled, or the brake is actuated. (The manual for this vehicle reinforces my understanding that releasing the held button, should stop the speed change and save a new speed level.) I have tested this, and it occurs every time and never stops accelerating until I turn off the speed control function. ( i have released this control at 35 mph and it continues to accelerate to greater than 90 mph and the new speed command is not recognized.) I can handle this now, but the first time it happened I froze temporarily and believe this issue to be very dangerous if it occurs with an unaware person at a critical time.
I took car to dealership on 3/8/24 for maintenance. After the maintenance was completed i picked up the car, paid, took the report and went home. In reviewing the report, I noticed an outstanding recall 10B pending. The service advisor never mentioned this to me, not did I receive notification from Jeep. I proceeded to call the dealer and they simply advised me to call Jeep because they did not have parts and did not know when they would be available. I called Jeep and opened a case. I expressed I had reviewed this vehicle had a stop sale issues as per the recall, yet no parts available. They mentioned parts would not be available until after the 2nd quarter of this year. I asked that my call be escalated. Today, 3/14/23, I finally received a call from an agent mentioning my request for buy-back was denied. I expressed that this was not a buy back, but a lemon, because this car has had 2 recalls already and it took them amount over 5 months to fix it. I mentioned this was a critical safety issued as stated by them on the recall notification as it says ": A loss of clamp load may result in the UCA separating from the knuckle and the wheel falling outboard, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning." I drive my car with two small children and cannot afford to have a possible crash without warning. The agent told me he could put me on a recall list but it would be after the 2nd quarter that Jeep would start fixing these issues. The agent mentioned he could not see the reason why the buy back was denied. I asked for the call to be escalated to a supervisor. I am currently pending that call.
Dealer identified my concern with the noise the car is making as apart of the recall in the steering and no parts available to fix per dealer
After starting 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe, multiple warnings displayed on dash including: service power steering, service electronic stability control, blind spot alert unavailable service required, and rear braking assist unavailable. The ignition was fully turned on and after shifting into reverse, there was no power steering which required extra effort to turn the steering wheel. The power steering was out for approximately 20 minutes. After restarting the car 20 minutes later, the power steering and blind spot alert was back. A check engine light persisted. After taking to Auto Zone to read check engine light, there was no readable code. The warnings have since went away. The vehicle had 2,497 miles on it at the time of this occurrence which was on June 9, 2023 at 10:18 am.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of the NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V413000 (Suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not available for the recall repair. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
I was turning at a intersection, there was no car in-front only on the side , as I was turning , my jeep suddenly made an emergency beeping sound and break as if I was goin to crash into a car or something. Clearly I was just turning . The break was so hard I even thought I had gotten hit in the back or I had hit something in the front ! The car behind me had to stop and act fast as well otherwise I would have really been hit by him/her. I called my dealer since I had just bought my car 2weeks ago. I have a appt to get it look at , they told me it might be my sensor being dirty or something but I feel like this is a concern jeep should take care of. Or it will really cause an accident I don’t feel safe driving my jeep at all now! Especially doing turns or just thinking it might breaking when I am driving much faster next time. I’m taking my jeep to my dealer service dept. picture below are evidence of appts , and having to get a rental because of my report.
Power steering went out. Wheel locks and does not turn. Extremely unsafe and over 90,000 jeep grand cherokees have recalls.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at 64 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate then the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and diagnosed with a transmission failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Forward Collision Avoidance system failed to alert as needed and failed to automatically stop the vehicle when another vehicle was ahead. The contact had to depress the brake pedal to stop the vehicle immediately. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, no error codes were retrieved. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,600.
Upon starting the vehicle, multiple dashboard lights came on alerting total loss of power steering system (EPS). This also triggered lights related to forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assistance. Vehicle was nearly impossible to steer out of driveway.
Vehicle was involved in a crash. Vehicle was hit head on by a pick-up truck. The air bags deployed in the pick-up truck due to the severity of the crash/impact, but the air bags in our vehicle failed to deploy. Driver of truck injured at scene but declined treatment. Passenger in our vehicle felt pain an hour after accident and went to ER and diagnosed with blunt force trauma injuries from the seat belt.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). However, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that there was an abnormal sound coming from the rear suspension after the vehicle was purchased. The vehicle was repaired several times; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 100.
The first occurrence was upon starting the vehicle in a parking lot. The death cluster lit up with power steering unavailable, airbags unavailable, autobrake disengaged, and the the battery warning. The dealership towed the vehicle and replaced the batteries. In April of ‘22 While driving the vehicle the power steering became unavailable, forcing a difficult left turn off a major roadway. The same warning lights came on and the vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed and a new power steering rack and steering gear were installed. Third occurrence was in the driveway recently when again upon starting the same warning lights were on and there was no power steering available. The vehicle is at the dealership now being inspected.
Lower control arm bracket failed. Yes available for inspection. The adaptive cruse lane assist function malfunctioned. Yes available for inspection. I was injured. Police inspected the wheel and called it into question a manufacture defect in the police report. Manufacture (Jeep) acknowledges it but has been unresponsive. No warning when the wheel assembly disengaged (wheel, brake, tie rod, control arm, stub axel from the vehicle) traveling at 67 mph prior to crashing into a barrier
While driving on highway nothing overhead about 65 mph the front half of panoramic sunroof exploded spontaneously. Temperature outside was 60 degrees. Nothing hit the glass.
Lost power steering
I have had water leaking into the vehicle from the sunroof, down the driver side B pillar and filling the battery compartment under the driver seat and leaving the carpeting wet. I discovered this in early 2023 only because i placed my hand on the floor behind the driver seat and felt it was wet. In April of 2023 the Jeep dealer cleaned the sunroof drains but it kept leaking. In October of 2023 I took it back again and they said the sunroof was damaged from the manufacturer and it had to be replaced. I dropped of the vehicle on 12/22/2023 so they could install a new sunroof and picked it up on 1/3/2024. I then dropped it off again on 1/10/2024 as it was still leaking. I picked it up again on 1/23/2024 and they said the new sunroof is also damaged and needs to be replaced. As of 2/16/2024 the part has not arrived and water still come into the vehicle, soaking the carpet under the driver seat and driver side passenger floor, there is a wire harness that comes from the B pillar and towards the driver seat that is also wet and the batter compartment fills with water. Also since October the auto stop start feature which used to activate during every drive has not activated once, dealer keeps saying it is working as it should. If so why has it not activated in 4 months? Has the water intrusion caused this issue? Is the water intrusion going to cause mold, rust or electrical issues?
On several occasions, our 2022 Grand Cherokee Summit vehicle purchased in May 2022 from Pearson Jeep in Richmond, Va automatically switches to a lower gear causing the vehicle to have to be pulled over, put in Park before moving again. this is dangerous especially on the Interstate.
Today while driving our Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was slowing for a stop light and a message came on saying service start/stop system. At the time I was traveling approximately 18 miles per hour. As I was slowing down I reached off approximately 5-8 mph when all of the car shifted to park.this was a very scary and dangerous incident for myself and vehicles around me. Now that I was stopped it wouldn’t let me shift the vehicle back in to drive. Finally a new message appeared saying stop/start restart required. Out of frustration and trying a number of different things, we eventually shut the ignition off and restarted the car and this did allow us to put the car in gear. It was a very unnerving situation. I immediately drove the vehicle to the dealership. This is the second time it’s in the shop for shifting to park on its own. After doing some research at home it appears others with the 202/2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L have been having similar issues. This is a very serious issue that needs fixed
Upon startup power steering was disabled and the console message "power steering available service required". Blind spot detection and lane departure also showed as in-op. Wheel was very hard to turn. After traveling a few hundred feet I determined that the car was not safe to drive. After two vehicle restarts the problem cleared. If this happened at speed, in traffic, a serious accident is likely. Dealership is unable to look at problem for weeks. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WHICH REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION FROM NHTSA!
RE: 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe (hybrid) This complaint involves a well-known defect and malfunction endemic to the Jeep Wrangler 4Xe with the identical powertrain and software, and a well-documented recall of the Jeep Wrangler, but for some reason, does not yet extend to the Grand Cherokee 4Xe model for identical symptoms and malfunction behavior. The associated recall for the Wrangler is NHTSA campaign number: 22V865000. FCA US, LLC’s number for this recall ZB7, however the Grand Cherokee with the identical powertrain-- has yet to be recalled, however has the same defective issues. This is brand new off-the-showroom 2022 Grand Cherokee 4Xe, and the malfunctioning behavior began within the first 10 days-- at 179 miles (3/4 tank of fuel), with the vehicle going into the FORM (Fuel/Oil Refresh Mode), depriving the vehicle of electric mode or electric assist. The vehicle message stated: "Electric Mode Temporarily Unavailable - Fuel & Oil Refresh in Progress" Other dangerous symptoms and malfunctions associated with the defective/malfunctioning software have occurred: (a) A single instance of a "limp-home" mode (25 mph max on a main thoroughfare), and; (b) several instances of failure of the transmission to shift into a higher gear-- causing the engine to over-rev (over max redline RPM) to maintain a highway speed). At 331 miles, the vehicle was refueled for the first time, and the FORM warning message disappeared with the fresh refuel, however the vehicle hasn't been driven enough to determine of the transmission issues were resolved with the refuel. Nonetheless, the FORM was a malfunction that occurred at 3/4 tank with only 179 miles on the vehicle, and the other malfunctions are presumed to be associated with the primary defect. The video of the "shift malfunction" incidents can be viewed on Google photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/EMqaZ5ZotkVgu6UJ7 and https://photos.app.goo.gl/LYPytX73fzj9JRq3A
Randomly, and without warning, the instruments, gauges, and displays will switch into a language I do not speak or understand (Italian). Coinciding with the switch to Italian language, cluster and radio display settings revert back to default settings, auto door locks and paddle shifter becomes inoperative (with no menu to enable), pedestrian emergency brake (peb) lamp or forward collision warning (fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. all change, and many other random settings change as well. ***This is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. I have taken it to the dealer 7 times, and they say there is nothing they can do and to wait for a possible software update, but none has come and it has been over two years. When this happens, even if one is able to wade through all the settings menus and change setting back, some items cannot be reset (like the FCA off lamp). According to various Jeep owner forums, some dealers have been able to reset something and temporarily correct the issue, but they charge for this service, and the issue returns randomly again. Here is an example forum discussion, indicating many if not all vehicles are affected: [XXX] Many people on the forum believe this issue did not start until a software update a year or so ago. This is a well known and widespread problem, and there is even a DOT Bulletin on the issue: dot.report Bulletins Because this is dangerous (for settings/gauges/units to no longer be useful while driving), and it occurs randomly, I strongly believe this issue should be a manufacturer recall. I am available for any needs. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
We filled the car with gas and tried leaving the pump. Turned the car on and all the lights on the screen started blinking and said service steering. The steering wheel would not turn either way. I turned the car off and back on and it did the same thing. After a third attempt the car drove again but the check engine light remains on. This is very scary as if it happened while driving would cause a wreck.
Purchased 1 Feb 23. 3 weeks later, I pulled out of driveway and drove 3 blocks before coming to stop sign, After stopping, I proceeded to pull across 4 lane hwy. Only to have vehicle shut off in middle of 2 lanes. I was left sitting broadside in middle of 2 lanes. I finally realized the drivers door was ajar, I closed door completely and was able to restart vehicle. It is Now June 2023 and it happened again after driving about 3 blocks. This time It shut off while I was driving 50 mph in middle of 2 lane hwy. Again drivers door was ajar. This is a serious safety hazzard. Vehicle is not supposed to move if door is not closed completely. There were no bells or lights warning you that door was not closed completely. Jeep Dearlership does not seem to think this is a major safety issue and did nothing to fix.
I drove the car in the morning with no issues for 45 mins. Later that day I started the car and three warning messages appeared-- SERVICE POWER STEERING, ACTIVE LANE MANAGEMENT UNAVAILABLE SERVICE REQUIRED, & REAR BRAKING ASSIST UNAVAILABLE. There were no previous warnings or messages. The car was not safe to drive because I could not turn the wheel easily at all. When I called the dealership they told me I would have to have it towed in, they had no loaner car for me and that they may be able to look at it on Feb 27th! This happened on February 14th. Completely unacceptable.
The sunroof glass exploded during a highway drive. A sudden loud explosion sound caused a big disruption to me, the driver. The glass pieces fell inside the vehicle. No one was injured but I found several interiors places, such as console trim, seat leathers were scratch by glass pieces. There was no waning or anything abnormal. It just happened suddenly. There is no truck in front of us. Just a SUV in from of us in the lane right to us. No cliff or anything that rocks can fall from.
The auto/power steering light came on upon starting engine. Driver could not move power steering and was left stranded. Nothing unusual promoted the event. Driver waited several hours and restarted with no issue. Concerns over what would happen if power steering failed while car in drive.
The rear view camera and surround camera intermittently work. It is available for inspection. This is a safety risk for myself and others when backing up the vehicle. The problem has been confirmed and reproduced by a dealer. There is no indication of the failure before it happens.
Two safety related issues are present on the vehicle, confirmed by dealership, and being actioned via FCA star tickets: 1) Blinkers are blinking at a non-standard speed 2) Side view cameras are intermittently disabling themselves, requiring dealership intervention each time Service records attached
Power steering unavailable service required messages pops up steering becomes very tough to turn
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle and while the defogger was in use, the center of the front windshield cracked from the middle to the top of the windshield without an impact. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the crack on the windshield became larger. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer; however, the mechanic informed the contact that the manufacturer would not cover the front windshield replacement due to determining the crack was caused by an impact. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 5,800.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 MPH, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power and decelerated quickly. The contact was able to maneuver the vehicle onto the shoulder before the vehicle stalled and failed to restart. During the failure, the "Performance Limited" "Service Fuel System" and "Service Charging System" messages were displayed. The battery charging and check engine warning lights were also illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer; however, the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 653.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH, the vehicle started hesitating and then started losing motive power. The contact stated he started to smell an electrical burning odor. The contact parked on the side of the road and continued driving the vehicle to his residence after 15 minutes. The contact stated that he experienced the failure a second time. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer but was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact continued to experience the failure. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the coolant pump to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.
2nd time in last 2 months loss of power steering and all warning lights came on dash while driving. Very difficult to steer and would have not been able to make emergency maneuver. Vehicle was in shop for 30 days for same issue and power steering component was replaced but problem occurred again. If this had occurred when making a turn I would of been unable to control vehicle
When making left or right turn using the turn signal, the headlight related to that turn signal goes off. This happens when the headlight control is set on "auto" for the headlight to come on at dusk. This is an extremely hazardous condition not only for on coming traffic but also for the driver because of elimination of lighted visibility to the area turning into. Jeep mechanics have repeatedly voiced excuses for a hazardous design flaw which needs to be recalled and corrected. Please Please Please research and take steps to remedy the issue. I'm fearful of not only receiving a ticket but also because of the hazard this condition presents. William Peterson
Power steering failed while vehicle was operating at highway speeds. After several ignition restarts power steering was restored. Several auxiliary safety systems failed at the same time.
Having less than 3K miles in the odometer, the engine started to develop valve train noise that worsens as the engine gets hotter, taken to the dealership to check on the concern plus no start, had the battery replaced after staying 3 weeks in the dealership, supposedly the noise was normal, took it to another dealership as the first one left a few things not fixed, once again i was told the noise was normal, The noise started to get louder as miles were being put on the car, people would ask if the car was a diesel powered one, even the service advisor of the dealership were the car remains asked me if the engine was diesel when she heard the noise. At idling speed the engine is not running smoothly you can hear cylinders misfiring on the exhaust, oil temp remains over 240 when driven, 245 just by pressing the gas to pass a car, oil pressure at idling speed has gone lower as time goes by reaching at times 28 psi. Noise varies when the engine switches in between 8 cyl or 4 cyl mode, in 4 cyl mode the whole car vibrates really bad and loud until you hit the gas to get the engine out of the 4 cyl mode. Service engine light came on once at idling speed when the idling speed became erratic. Engine stalled once. Car in the dealership since Jan 23 2023, was called exactly one month later to pick it up as per they report everything was ok, asked to try another one with the same engine mine has so i could hear the "normal" noise, they had none to check, the shop foreman went on a test ride with me to confirm the issue and then he acknowledged that the noise was weird, so i was asked to leave it, two months already went by and so far no word on the issue, the car has not being further diagnosed by the 'ENGINE EXPERT" will have to go through the lemon law as they just don't say a word or give me options. Grand Cherokee Summit reserve 5.7 Hemi engine. as of today 3/29/2023 still not diagnosed
The SUV likes to stall or glitch out when trying to start. Won’t shut off when it goes through this situation. Starter has been replaced and so has battery. Dealership still can’t figure it out. Makes weird noise also that we can’t pin point. Doesn’t happen every start on spontaneously.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle T-boned and crashed into a second vehicle causing severe damage to the front of the vehicle but the air bags did not deploy. During the crash, the contact sustained an injured back and neck which required medical assistance. A police report was filed and the vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated upon depression of the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure and a software update was performed on the vehicle. The contact stated that several months after the software update, the vehicle failed to start up after multiple attempts. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where and remained in dealer possession. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.
Advanced brake assist / emergency assist issue - while highway driving, during a sunny day and with no cars for at least 1 mile the system engaged the emergency brake as if it detected an eminent accident. This was at highway speeds so caused some commotion in the car. Once safely stopped in a rest area I turned off that system. The next day the active lane management system stated it needed service, that later went away. Moreover when the brake pedal is depressed the peddle pulses, leading me to believe the rotors are warped. This suv only has 3300 miles on it. It is scheduled to go to the dealership next week
I work at the Jeep facility doing repairs. We notified management that someone put GLUE in the fitting for the left rear brake line, where it meets the soft line. The issue was never fixed and the vehicle has since been shipped. The person who fixes brakes on first shift said he’s been putting glue in brake lines since day one. Management has no idea what they’re doing here and these vehicles are unsafe to be in the road.
Power steering failed while driving. Blind spot detection failed. Third electrical issue since purchased in February 2022. First issue car would not start due to key fob transmitter issue. Second issue. Car would not start due to electronic fuel injection issue.
