DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS A NHTSA RECALL #06V288000 ON THE VEHICLE REGARDING THE SUSPENSION: FRONT: CONTROL ARM: LOWER BALL JOINT. THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE NOT AVAILABLE AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD TRIED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, BUT THE DEALER REFUSED TO SCHEDULE A DATE UNTIL THE REPLACEMENT PARTS WERE AVAILABLE, AND RECOMMENDED THE CONTACT TO CALL EVERY DAY TO CHECK FOR UPDATES ON THE PARTS. THE CONTACT EXPRESSED CONCERN THAT IT WAS A MAJOR RISK TO SAFETY IF THE BALL JOINTS FAILED.
NEW VEHICLE, LESS THAN 50 MILES ODOMETER. ENGAGED CRUISE CONTROL AT 55 MPH, SEVERAL MILES LATER TAPPED BRAKE TO DISENGAGE CRUISE CONTROL TO SLOW FOR A TURN. BRAKE WOULD NOT DISENGAGE CRUISE CONTROL, NEITHER WOULD THE 'OFF' BUTTON ON LEFT SIDE OF STEERING WHEEL. CANCEL BUTTON ON RIGHT SIDE OF WHEEL DID SHUT OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL. RETURNED TO DEALER NEXT MORNING. DEALER REPLACED A 'REGULATOR/SOLENOID' BEHIND THE BRAKE PEDAL AND INDICATED THE ORIGINAL HAD BEEN INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED/SET FROM FACTORY AND THAT IT COULD NOT BE ADJUSTED BY DEALERS SHOP. *JB
FUEL TANK OVERFLOWS EVERY TIME YOU FILL UP. ONLY WAY OF PREVENTING IS TO NEVER TO FILL THE GAS TANK. *JS
I HAVE AN 06 JEEP LIBERTY GOT IN OCT 06. IN NOV 06 JEEPS DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER DOOR WAS JAMMED IN WOULD NOT OPEN OR CLOSE. SAME TIME I TOOK IT IN THE WINDOW REGULATOR BROKE. SO ONLY I MONTH OWNING THIS VEHICLE I ALREADY HAD PROBLEMS I HAVE FIXED THE WINDOWS 10 TIMES THE BLOWER 2 TIMES AND NO ONE SEEMS TO HELP ME I'VE BEEN ASKING FOR HELP SINCE I GOT IT AND STILL NOTHING. *TR

MY 2006 JEEP LIBERTY STARTED EXPERIENCING POWER WINDOW PROBLEMS AROUND NOV 06. ALL 4 POWER WINDOWS WOULD NOT ROLL DOWN OR THEY WOULD ROLL DOWN PART OF THE WAY THEN GET STUCK AND WOULDN'T ROLL BACK UP. IT WAS A SAFETY CONCERN WHEN THEY WERE STUCK OPEN. IT WAS ALSO AN ISSUE IN DRIVE-THROUGH SITUATIONS AND OTHER TYPICAL SCENARIOS WHERE YOU WOULD ROLL DOWN A WINDOW. A LOCAL CHRYSLER SERVICE DEPT REPAIRED IT REPEATEDLY FROM 2006 UNTIL THEY CLOSED IN EARLY 2009, THEN ANOTHER CHRYSLER SERVICE DEPARTMENT MADE THE LAST REPAIR IN JULY 2009. REPAIRS RANGED FROM RE-WIRING THE WINDOWS TO COMPLETELY REPLACING THE INTERNAL ELECTRONIC SYSTEM. *TR
THE VEHICLE IS A 2006 JEEP LIBERTY 4X4 EQUIPPED WITH THE 2.8L CRD (DIESEL ENGINE). FROM AN INTERSECTION AT A COMPLETE STOP, I PROCEEDED TO TURN RIGHT INTO ANOTHER STREET. I ACCELERATED TO APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE ENGINE BEGAN TO HESITATE AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT GO FASTER THAN 5 MPH. IT COULD ONLY LIMP ALONG AT THIS SPEED WHILE I ATTEMPTED TO GET OFF THE ROAD. THIS CREATED A SERIOUS CONDITION FOR OTHER DRIVERS TO ATTEMPTING TO AVOID MY VEHICLE UNTIL I COULD REACH A SECTION A THAT ALLOWED ME TO PULL-OFF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE THEN STALLED WHEN I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AFTER A FEW MINUTES, AND IT RAN IN A NORMAL MANNER. I SUBSEQUENTLY CONTINUED MY TRIP WITHOUT ANY OTHER INCIDENTS. THIS IS A VERY DISCONCERTING DEFECT BECAUSE IT EXHIBITS NO SIGNS THAT ALLOW THE OPERATOR TO TAKE PREVENTATIVE ACTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE ACCIDENT DURING ROAD USE. *NM
MY JEEP LIBERTY WITH THE DIESEL ENGINE PERFORMED WELL FOR THE FIRST THREE MONTHS, THEN UPON ACCELERATING TO ENTER A FREEWAY IT SPUTTERED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE DEALERSHIP REPAIRED IT BY REPLACING THE EGR VALVE AND ASSOCIATED COMPONENTS. THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED ON IN ANOTHER 4 MONTHS, AND AGAIN 4 MONTHS. EVERY TIME THE EGR VALVE WAS REPLACED. THE LAST OCCURRENCE WAS IN NOVEMBER 2006. *JB
THIS PROBLEM WITH THE WINDOW REGULATORS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM SINCE WE BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW. THE DATES OF REPAIR ARE AS FOLLOW FROM NEWEST TO OLDEST, 10/10/11,10/22/10,9/30/10,8/10/09,3/13/08,12/11/07,4/10/07,4/5/07,3/16/07,1/24/07,11/07/06,11/03/06. WE HAVE TAKEN THIS CAR TO THE DEALER THIS MANY TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. WE HAVE NEVER PAID A PENNY FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER IS NOW ASKING US TO PAY 100$ SAYING IS A WARRANTY ISSUE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A DEFECTIVE PART BUT CANNOT FIX IT. THEY HAVE RECALLED ON SOME MODELS OF THIS CAR. OURS IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. THIS TRIP FOR US TO TAKE THIS CAR IN FOR THE INITIAL CHECK IS 230 MILES THEN WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE AUTHORIZATION OF REPAIRS TO TAKE IT BACK IS ANOTHER 230 MILES. IT IS NOT REASONABLE FOR US TO PAY FOR THE MANUFACTURERS FAULTY PARTS. WE ARE OUT OF POCKET 12 TIMES FOR THE TIME AND GAS TO GO OVER THERE. THIS WINDOW REGULATOR IS DEFECTIVE AND WHEN IT SNAPS THE WINDOW ROD BREAKS JAMS THE DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM THE DOOR THEN WILL NOT STAY CLOSED OR IT WILL NOT OPEN. WE ARE ALSO FILING CLAIMS WITH THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION SAFETY BOARD. *TR
MY LIBERTY HAS 3 RECALLS, 2 HAVING DO WITH BIG SAFETY ISSUES- FIRE AND TIRES DETACHING. I FIRST CALLED PLANET DODGE (MIAMI, FL) FOR SERVICE APPT.; GAVE VIN AND ADVISED OF RECALLS- SURPRISE! WHEN I ARRIVED FOR MY APPOINTMENT; THEY SAID THE PARTS WERE ON BACK ORDER! TODAY I CALLED TAMIAMI JEEP TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD 1) IT'S VERY DANGEROUS AS TIRES MAY DETACH 2) THEY HAVE SOME PARTS, BUT NOT SOME BOLT, IF THAT IS REQUIRED! QUESTION- IF THESE ARE MANDATORY RECALLS AND ON SUCH POTENTIALLY SAFETY COMPROMISING PARTS- HOW CAN THE PARTS BE ON BACK ORDER FOR 3 MONTHS!! TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP LIBERTY. THE DRIVER SIDE REAR WINDOW FELL DOWN. THE DEALER REPLACED THE WINDOW. AFTER THE WINDOW WAS REPAIRED IT STOP OPERATING. THE DEALER REPLACED THE WIRE AND THE WINDOW DROPPED HALF WAY OFF OF THE TRACK. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE ENGINE WAS TURNED ON AT THE TIME OF ALL THE FAILURES OCCURRED. AUGUST 15, 2006, I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW JEEP LIBERTY FROM LITHIA JEEP IN AURORA, CO. OCT 27TH, 2006 MY STEERING WHEEL FELL OFF THE COLUMN WHILE DRIVING. ACCORDING TO MY INVOICE, "THE STEERING WHEEL CRACKED. THE SCREW THAT HELD IT TOGETHER WAS FOUND AND APPARENTLY IT WAS NEVER THREADED IN PLACE. LUCKILY, I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND WAS JUST GAINING SPEED WHEN IT FELL OFF. HOWEVER, JUST 2 MINUTES PRIOR, I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 70 MPH. I FEEL VERY FORTUNATE. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY ACKNOWLEDGMENT OR RESPONSE FROM JEEP REGARDING THIS INCIDENCE. *JB
RIGHT REAR WINDOW FELL DOWN WHILE CAR WAS PARKED. BECAUSE THIS HAPPENED THE THE LEFT REAR WINDOW IN 2009, I IMMEDIATELY CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO INSTRUCTED ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS, WHICH CONFIRMED THE REGULATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. ONCE AGAIN THIS IS A DOOR THAT IS SELDOM USED AND THE WINDOW IS ALMOST NEVER USED. *KB
WHILE DRIVING 2006 JEEP LIBERTY LIMITED ESP/BAS LIGHT CAME ON AND ALSO CHARGING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP THEY SAID POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE NEEDS UPDATE REPROGRAM, ALSO WAS A RECAL TO PROGRAM BCM. GOT JEEP BACK NEXT DAY, LIGHT CAME BACK ON PLUS THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT, TOOK BACK TO DEALERSHIP THEY HAD FOR 2 DAYS CALLED AND SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM WITH IT. SAID IT WAS DUE TO THE WAY I DRIVE AND USE THE BRAKE PEDAL. PROBLEM NOT FIXED. JEEP HAS 10000 MILES ON IT NOW. WHEN IT ONLY HAD 1750 MILES ALL THE PANEL LIGHTS CAME ON AND THE VECHICLE SHUT DOWN, HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. THEY HAD TO REPLACE CLUSTER, BCM AND PCM PER STAR LINE, REPAIR SHORT IN RADIO WIRING HARNESS, ALSO REPAIR BURN IN 02 SENSOR WIRING HARNESS, REROUTE HARNESS. AND NOW THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, TO PICK IT UP IN THE MORNING. *NM
THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE JEEP WAS BRAND NEW. THERE IS NO AUTO-STOP WHEN FILLING THE JEEP. UP TO A GALLON, OR MORE, WILL SPILL OUT IF YOU CANNOT STOP IT IN TIME. THIS CAUSES FUEL TO GET ALL OVER THE VEHICLE AND THE PERSON PUMPING THE FUEL. WE HAVE TALKED WITH THE DEALER ABOUT THIS PROBLEM REPEATEDLY (IN TWO STATES - NEW JERSEY AND MAINE) AND IT SEEMS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN (OR WILL) DO. WE CANNOT BE THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE.
I HAVE A 2003 JEEP LIBERTY SPORT AND I WAS RECENTLY DRIVING IT WHEN THE ENTIRE SYSTEM COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IT RESTARTED AND I WENT A LITTLE FURTHER AND IT COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AGAIN. I LOST POWER TO STEERING AND WAS FORTUNATELY ABLE TO GUIDE IT OFF THE MAIN HIGHWAY WITHOUT ANY POWER. IT WOULD NOT CONTINUE RUNNING AFTER THAT. IT WOULD START BUT THEN SHUT DOWN RIGHT OFF. I ENDED UP HAVING IT TOWED TO A JEEP DEALERSHIP WHERE I FOUND OUT TWO SENSORS IN THE COMPUTER HAD GONE BAD. I HAD TO PAY TO HAVE THE SENSORS REPLACED IN ADDITION TO THE TOW. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I HAD BEEN ON AN INTERSTATE GOING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND THOSE SENSORS WOULD HAVE GONE BAD CAUSING ME TO LOSE POWER IN TRAFFIC. I WONDER IF SOME FATALITIES AND INJURIES HAVE RESULTED FROM THIS SITUATION WITH OTHER VEHICLES. I THINK ITS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND JEEP SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED TO SEE IF THEY ARE USING DEFECTIVE SENSORS IN THE JEEP LIBERTY. I ONLY HAVE 65 THOUSAND MILES ON THIS VEHICLE AND I AM CONCERNED ABOUT TAKING IT ON ANY LENGTHY TRIPS. I FEEL ITS A DANGER ON THE HIGHWAYS WITH THESE SENSORS. *NM
ON MY 2006 JEEP LIBERTY THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW FELL DOWN ON INTERSTATE 80 DURING A HEAVY RAIN STORM. THE REAR SEAT AND FLOOR WAS SOAKED BUT THE REAL PROBLEM WAS WHEN IT FELL IT SCARED ME SO BAD I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE. *TR
ON SEP. THE 23RD I WAS ON I70E JUST OUT OF EFFINGHAM IL. WHEN MY JEEP LIBERTY CRD HAD A PROBLEM. THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE OR THUD THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY SPEED WENT FROM ABOUT 65 MPH DOWN TO 45 TO 50 ALMOST INSTANTLY. THE WHITE VAN THAT WAS BEHIND ME JUST TAPPED MY REAR BUMPER WITH NO DAMAGE. THE DRIVER OF THE VAN WENT ON AROUND ME AS I WENT OFF OF THE HYW. TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THIS PROBLEM CLEARED UP IN ABOUT 1 MIN. AND THE CAR THE WENT ON AS IT WAS OK. PLEASE REFERENCE ODI NUMBER 10167608. THIS INCIDENT IS THE SAME AS THAT REPORT. ALSO COMING BACK TO FLORISSANT ON THE 30TH OF SEPT 2006 THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED. HOWEVER MY CAR WAS THE ONLY CAR IN SIGHT AT THE TIME. I HAVE HAD THREE EVENTS WITH THIS TYPE OF FAILURE AND ONE OF THEM RESULTED IN THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME JUST TOUCHING MY CAR. THE DEALER HERE IN FLORISSANT, MO. (MARTY CANCILLA DODGE. HAS YET TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. THE CHRYSLER DISTRICT REP IS GOING TO BE HERE ON THIS THURSDAYS TO TALK TO ME. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY WHEN TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE A 60 TO 70 MPH. MY JEEP LIBERTY HAS BEEN IN THE DEALERS SHOP SINCE TUESDAY OF LAST WEEK. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP LIBERTY. IN SEPTEMBER OF 2006, THE ENGINE MODULE IN THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER RECALL. AFTER THE REPAIR, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT PROPERLY. THE REPAIR ALSO CAUSED THE MOTOR TO REV VERY HIGH AND THE VEHICLE TO PULL HARDER AND IDLE. THE VEHICLE WOULD ACCELERATE FROM 5 TO 10 MPH WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS NOT DEPRESSED. THE FAILURES OCCURRED EACH TIME THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN. IN SNOWY WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE FAILURES WORSENED. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE ORIGINAL SERVICE DEALER AND ANOTHER DEALER, BUT THEY BOTH WOULD NOT RESET THE MODULE AGAIN TO REMEDY THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT ASSIST. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. I WAS DOING A RAPID DECELERATION FOR TRAFFIC SLOWING DOWN SUDDENLY ON US 30 IN YORK COUNTY, PA. I HEARD A LOUD CLUNK AS I SLOWED DOWN AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. AS I TRIED TO GET BACK UP TO SPEED THE JEEP WOULD NOT GET OUT OF 3RD GEAR. I KEPT TO THE RIGHT AND GOT OFF AT THE FIRST EXIT. AFTER 5 MINUTES, I GOT BACK IN THE JEEP, STARTED IT UP, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STILL ON. IT SHIFTED SOMEWHAT NORMALLY ALTHOUGH IT DID SHUDDER A BIT. THE FOLLOWING DAY, 9/10/06, THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS OFF AND APPEARS TO BE SHIFTING OK NOW. I CALLED THE DEALER WHO SAID THAT IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN I SHOULD BRING IT IN. I AM AWARE THAT THERE HAVE BEEN PROBLEMS WITH THIS TORQUE CONVERTER/TRANSMISSION. I AM CONCERNED THAT IT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I HAVE LESS FLEXIBILITY TO RESPOND WITH A SUDDEN POWER LOSS, ESPECIALLY IN RAINY/SNOWY WEATHER, OR A CROWDED ROAD WITH ONLY ONE LANE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE COMPONENT FOR THE POWER WINDOWS SNAPPED. AS A RESULT, THE WINDOWS ROLL DOWN, BUT WILL NOT ROLL BACK UP. THE FAILURE PREVIOUSLY OCCURRED TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS, WHICH WERE REPAIRED. CURRENTLY, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW IS NOT WORKING. ON THE 5TH. OF SEPTEMBER I WAS TRAVELING HOME FROM DAYTON, OH ON I70 AND JUST AS I WAS COMING INTO INDIANAPOLIS, IN. MY 2006 JEEP LIBERTY CRD HAD A FAILURE IN ITS TRANSMISSION THAT CAUSED ME TO TEMPORARY LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR. I WAS DRIVING AT THE SPEED LIMIT OF 65 TO 70 MPH AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE WAS A VERY LOUD KLUNK AND THE CARS SPEED DROPPED FROM ABOUT 65 MPH TO 40 TO 35 MPH ALMOST INSTANTLY AND THAT'S WHEN I ALMOST LOST CONTROL FOR JUST ABOUT A SECOND. I CHECK AND THERE WAS NO CARS EITHER BEHIND OR TO EITHER SIDE OF ME, WHICH WAS LUCKY FOR ME BECAUSE IF A CAR OR SEMI WOULD HAVE BEEN BEHIND ME I WOULD NOT BE HERE WRITING THIS. I PULLED OVER TO THE RIGHT HAND LANE AND STARTED TO LEAVE THE ROAD FOR THE SHOULDER. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR STARTED TO DRIVE NORMALLY AGAIN. I DROVE AT A REDUCED SPEED FOR AWHILE AND DID NOTICE THAT THER WAS A SLIGHT TRANSMISSION SHUDDER. THIS IS A NEW LIBERTY CRD (DIESEL) WITH 610 MILES THAT WAS ACCELERATING FROM A BORDER PATROL CHECKPOINT ON I-8 EAST OF SAN DIEGO. WHILE ACCELERATING TO ~65 THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER IN HEAVY FREEWAY TRAFFIC AND SLOWED TO 35 MPH EVEN THOUGH THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING GOOD. THIS SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER CAUSED OVERTAKING VEHICLES TO SWERVE VIOLENTLY TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT INCLUDING AT LEAST 2 PANIC STOPS. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SAFELY ON THE SHOULDER (ENGINE WAS IDLING FINE) THE CAR WAS SHUTDOWN AND RESTARTED WHICH APPARENTLY RECYCLED THE COMPUTER AND CLEARED THE CONDITION. FROM THE FIRST DAY THAT I BOUGHT THE 2006 JEEP LIBERTY, THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW "FELL" OFF THE TRACK, REQUIRING ME TO MANUALLY PUSH THE WINDOW BACK INTO PLACE BEFORE THE WINDOW WOULD CLOSE CORRECTLY. IN ADDITION, A FEW MONTHS INTO OWNING THE JEEP, A PIECE OF RUBBER FELL OFF OF THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR/WINDOW AREA. DURING A RECALL REPAIR, I ADVISED THE DEALER OF THE BROKEN WINDOW AND THE PIECE OF RUBBER THAT HAD FALLEN FROM THE VEHICLE. ALTHOUGH THE WINDOW WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED AND THE RUBBER PIECE PUT BACK ON THE VEHICLE, THE WINDOW AGAIN BEGAN TO FALL OFF THE TRACK WITHIN A WEEK OF THE REPAIR. OVER THE COURSE OF THE NINE YEARS I HAVE OWNED THIS LIBERTY, EACH OF THE 4 POWER WINDOWS HAVE FAILED MULTIPLE TIMES.THE WINDOWS SIMPLY FALL DOWN FREELY WITHOUT WARNING, AND CAN NOT BE PLACED BACK IN AN UPRIGHT, CLOSED POSITION. THIS HAS OCCURRED TWICE ON EACH FRONT WINDOW, AND ON EACH THE LEFT/REAR AND RIGHT REAR WINDOWS IT HAS HAPPENED THREE SEPARATE TIMES. THOUGH THIS IS AN ONGOING AND KNOWN SAFETY AND SECURITY ISSUE, THERE HAS BEEN NO SERVICE BULLETIN OR RECALL AS FAR AS I KNOW. CHRYSLER/JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LOCAL DEALER ARE UNWILLING TO RECOGNIZE THE PROBLEM OR COVER THE REPAIRS. WAS TOLD BY DEALER THAT REDESIGNED TORQUE CONVERTER IS NOT YET AVAILABLE BUT COMING. *NM
THE FABRIC OF ALL OF THE SEATS IN MY JEEP STAIN EXTREMELY EASILY. EVEN WATER STAINS THE SEATS BEYOND REPAIR. YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW DIFFICULT THIS IS LIVING IN NEW ORLEANS WHERE IT RAINS OFTEN. I HAVE HAD THE SEATS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED 5+ TIMES AND I WORK VERY HARD TO KEEP THEM CLEAN, BUT STILL NOTHING HELPS. THEY ARE NOW DISCOLORED AND HAVE A FOUL SMELL FROM JUST THE WATER DROPLETS ALONE. I HAVE A COUPLE FRIENDS THAT ALSO HAVE THIS MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE AND THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE INTEGRITY OF THE SEAT FABRIC. SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THIS. THIS FLAW REDUCES THE VALUE OF MY CAR AND GIVES A BAD REPUTATION TO THE JEEP NAME, AS WELL AS UNDERPLAYS THE QUALITY THAT IS NORMALLY ASSUMED WHEN PURCHASING A JEEP VEHICLE. FOLLOW-UP OF THIS CASE WAS REJECTED BY SAME CLAIM AGENT BECAUSE BALL JOINT IS NOT AVAILABLE TO INSPECT. MY COMPLAINT TO THEM SAYING THEY ARE NOT REVIEWING THE EVIDENCE I DID SHOW THEM INCLUDING PICTURES FROM THE SCENE WHICH I STILL THINK SHOW IF THEIR WAS A FAILURE OF THIS NATURE OR NOT. THEY HAVE ANOTHER CLAIMS AGENT LOOKING INTO IT NOW. UNTIL THEY FOLLOW THIS UP I CONSIDER THIS ACCIDENT TO BE FALSELY REPORTED TO YOUR AGENCY. *NM
