MY 2007 LIBERTY HAS SLOW WINDOW REGULATORS. THEY GO UP AND DOWN SLOWLY WHEN IN USE. IT CAN TAKE 8-10 SECONDS FOR THEM TO OPEN OR CLOSE. I HAD THE PASSENGER SIDE REPLACED AT THE DEALER UNDER WARRANTY. THEY SAID IT IS TYPICAL FOR THEM TO SLOW DOWN AND EVEN BREAK COMPLETELY BUT, THEY ARE WAITING FOR A NEW DESIGN TO BE PRODUCED. BUT NOW, THE PASSENGER SIDE IS SLOW AGAIN AND THE DRIVERS SIDE HAS STARTED DOING IT TO. WHEN IT IS COLD OUTSIDE THEY BARELY MOVE AT ALL. NOW AFTER FURTHER READINGS, I GUESS THEY WILL JUST EVENTUALLY FALL INTO THE DOORS ALSO LIKE EVERYONE ELSE'S. COME ON CHRYSLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH YAH, MY CARPETS WORE OUT FAST TO. DEALER SAID IT IS WEAR AND TEAR. MY DODGE, CHEVY AND TOYOTA NEVER DID THAT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE WINDOW WOULD FALL DOWN INSIDE THE DOOR. ALSO, THE WINDOW FAILED TO OPEN INTERMITTENTLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED SIX TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE DEALER; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,112.
MY JEEP LIBERTY JERKS BETWEEN 35-55 MPH AND 1400-1500 RPMS. THIS HAS CAUSED THE CAR TO SLIP AND SLID ON ICY ROADS. I FIRST NOTICED IT WITH ONLY 200 MILES ON THE CAR. IT HAS BEEN INTO THE SHOP 7 TIMES FOR THIS PROBLEM. THEY HAVE REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER, REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE. CHRYLSER SAID THIS IS NORMAL. I HAVE ANOTHER JEEP AND IT DOES NOT DO THIS. THIS IS BECOMING A DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH THE ICY CONDITIONS WHERE I LIVE. *TR
DOOR WINDOWS WILL FALL DOWN INTO THE DOOR UNEXPECTEDLY. APPEARS TO BE A FAILURE OF THE WINDOW REGULATOR. A KNOWN ISSUE WITH CHRYSLER. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN MY VEHICLE. TWICE IN MY LEFT REAR DOOR AND ONCE ON THE DRIVER DOOR. THE DRIVER DOOR WINDOW WAS REALLY SCARY WHEN IT HAPPENED AT NIGHT WHEN IT WAS RAINING. DEALER WILL NOT REPLACE THE WINDOW BECAUSE IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. RESULT IS THAT THE WINDOWS ARE UNUSABLE AND MUST BE SECURED BY TAPE OR SOME OTHER MEANS TO KEEP THEM UP. *TR
MY CAR JUST STOPPED ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE MY ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL FROZE UP. THE FREEZE UP WAS DO TO HAVING THE CAR IN CRUISE CONTROL FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME IN EXTREME COLD WEATHER. *TR
THE SEAT BELT ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE IN THE BACK SEAT DOES NOT BUCKLE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WHILE REFUELING TO CAPACITY, THE CAP WOULD NOT SHUT OFF THE FUEL, CAUSING FUEL TO LEAK ONTO THE GROUND. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ASSISTED THE CONTACT WITH REPAIRS TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
I OWN A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY LIMITED AT ANY GIVEN TIME WHILE DRIVING THE GEARS SEEM TO SLIP WHICH CAUSES THE SLIPPAGE LIGHT TO TURN ON . I'VE TAKEN TO SEVERAL JEEP GARAGES AND I'M TOLD IT'S NOT THE JEEP IT'S THE WAY I DRIVE THE JEEP THAT IS CAUSING THIS SLIPPAGE OF THE TIRES OR THE TRANSMISSION. CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM? *TR
AFTER ONLY A FEW HUNDRED MILES ON MY NEW 2007 LIBERTY, THE PASSENGER FRONT WINDOW FAILED, DUE TO A FAULTY REGULATOR, IN NOVEMBER 2007. THE DEALER REPAIRED IT UNDER WARRANTY BUT SAID IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. AFTER MINIMAL USE, THE REAR DRIVER WINDOW FAILED FOR THE SAME REASON ABOUT 8 MONTHS LATER. I COULD MANUALLY PUSH IT UP BUT IT WOULD FALL AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF DRIVING. THE WINDOW MAY HAVE BEEN UP AND DOWN A DOZEN TIMES IN TOTAL BEFORE FAILING. THIS IS A REAL SAFETY CONCERN, AND IT IS DISGUSTING THAT SUCH A BROADLY ACKNOWLEDGED DEFECT IS NOT BEING HANDLED RESPONSIBLY BY CHRYSLER. *TR
BOUGHT JEEP LIBERTY 4 MONTHS AGO. I NOW HAVE 10,000 MILES. THE RUG NEAR THE GAS PEDAL HAS A LARGE HOLE. THE DEALER STATES WEAR AND TEAR, MAINTAINS THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY AND JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD NOT HELP BECAUSE THEY STATE THIS IS NOT A DEFECT. I WEAR MOSTLY SANDALS AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN IN ANY OTHER CAR I HAVE OWNED!!! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY 4X4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL FOUR POWER WINDOW REGULATORS WERE DEFECTIVE AND WERE REPLACED EIGHT DIFFERENT TIMES BY AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. IN ADDITION, THE REAR PASSENGER'S SIDE WINDOW GLASS SHATTERED INSIDE THE DOOR PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE WINDOW GLASS, CABLE AND REGULATOR WERE REPLACED. THE LIFT GATE WAS ALSO REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM AND THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE MALFUNCTION WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE SERVICE WARRANTY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,285.
AT 3000 MILES FROM NEW IT BECAME DIFFICULT TO REMOVE THE KEY EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK. SOMETIMES THE DRIVER HAD TO RESTART THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES AND MOVE THE GEARSHIFT INTO PARK MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE THE KEY COULD BE REMOVED. AFTER THIS OCCURRED MANY TIMES THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. UNKNOWN PARTS WERE REPLACED AND THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED. NOW AT 7000 MILES FROM NEW THE PROBLEM HAS REOCCURRED. FROM READING BLOGS ON THE WEB THIS IS A LONGSTANDING PROBLEM THAT THE MANUFACTURER IS UNABLE OR UNWILLING TO CORRECT PERMANENTLY! THE NECESSITY TO CARRY ON WITH ONE'S DAY MEANS THAT THE KEY WILL BE LEFT IN THE IGNITION WITH THE CAR UNATTENDED WITH ALL THE SAFETY IMPLICATIONS THAT IMPLIES; THEFT, CHILDREN,ETC.
I AM HAVING SHUDDER /SHUDDER AT ANYWHERE BETWEEN 30-45 MPH. IT FEELS LIKE MY CAR IS SEARCHING FOR A GEAR , IT SURGES. TORQUE CONVERTER COULD BE THE ISSUE. *JB

THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES TO HAVE THE WINDOW REGULATORS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUOUSLY RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE TO THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,999 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 51,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL OF THE WINDOWS ON HER VEHICLE FAILED AT LEAST ONCE AT DIFFERENT TIMES. THE WINDOWS FELL INTO THE DOOR PANEL AND SHE WAS UNABLE TO RECOVER THEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER REGARDING EACH FAILURE AND THE DEALER REPLACED THE WINDOW REGULATOR. THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW RECENTLY FAILED AND THE DEALER ADVISED HER TO REPLACE THE REAR WINDOW REGULATOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
2007 JEEP LIBERTY ALL MOTORS IN THE WINDOWS ARE FAULTY. HAVE CONDUCTED RESEARCH IN ONLINE FORUMS AND HAVE CONCLUDED THAT MOST CONSUMERS OF 2001-2007 JEEP LIBERTY'S ARE HAVING SAME ISSUES WITH POWER WINDOW FAILURE. MOST ISSUES ARE FIXED DURING WARRANTY, AND CONTINUE TO OCCUR UNTIL LONG AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRES. ALSO** THE SEATS ON 2003-2007 JEEP LIBERTY'S ARE REPORTED AS BEING STAIN RESISTANT. SOMETHING WITHIN THE SEAT FABRIC CAUSES THE SEATS TO STAIN WITH A BROWNISH COLOR AFTER ANY LIQUID SUBSTANCE HITS THEM. HAVE RAN A TEST ON MY OWN VEHICLE WITH FILTERED TAP WATER AND BROWN STAIN STILL CONTINUED TO APPEAR. ADDRESSED DAIMLER CHRYSLER ABOUT ISSUE AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS "BAD RAIN IN MY AREA". I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT EVERY STATE IN THIS COUNTRY HAS BAD RAIN PROBLEMS AND IN ANY CASE RAIN SHOULD NOT CAUSE A STAIN ON THE UPHOLSTERY OF A 20,000+ DOLLAR VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THAT A LAWSUIT SHOULD BE FILED AGAINST DAIMLER CHRYSLER DEMANDING A RECALL ON ALL SEATS AND POWER WINDOWS WITH A FIX TO THE SOLUTION OR SHOULD HAVE TO REIMBURSE EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER ALL THE MONEY THEY HAVE SPENT OVER THE YEARS TRYING TO FIX THESE RE-OCCURRING ISSUES. THE DEALER REPLACED THE REGULATOR AND THE GLASS ELEVEN TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT SHE HAD TO PAY FOR EACH REPAIR. WINDOW REGULATORS BREAKING ON MY 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. *TR
BEWARE IF YOU OR YOURS IS DRIVING A WELL-MAINTAINED JEEP LIBERTY. MY SON COULD LOST CONTROL AND COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IF HE WAS TRAVELING AT A HIGHWAY SPEED IN A 2003 JEEP LIBERTY WHEN THE UPPER BALL JOINT SUSPENSION FAILED ON HIS VEHICLE. AFTER A RECENT RECALL AND REPLACEMENT OF THE LOWER BALL JOINTS OF MY SON'S 2003 JEEP LIBERTY, THE UPPER BALL JOINT WHICH IS OF SIMILAR DESIGN AND MANUFACTURER BROKE WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH ON LOCAL ROAD ON PASSENGER SIDE CAUSING WHEEL TO DETACH. PER WEBSITE POSTINGS JOINT IS SEALED AND THUS CANNOT BE MAINTAINED OR LUBRICATED. A CHRYSLER REPRESENTATIVE SAID THAT IT STANDS BEHIND ITS PARTS PRODUCTS BUT REFUSES TO ADDRESS $900 REPAIR OR TOWING AS IT IS NOT SUBJECT TO RECALL OR WARRANTY. VEHICLE WAS NOT USED FOR OFF-ROADING OR AGGRESSIVE DRIVING. I HAVE KEPT THE PARTS. AM THANKFUL THAT SON IS OK BUT HAVE RECEIVED NO SATISFACTION FROM CHRYSLER OR DEALER WHERE VEHICLE HAS BEEN MAINTAINED. OWNERS SHOULD BE NOTIFIED SO THAT THEY CAN HAVE THEIR VEHICLES INSPECTED TO AVERT THIS SAME FAILURE ALTHOUGH RECENT INSPECTION OF LOWER BALL JOINTS THAT WERE SUBJECT TO RECALL DID NOT PREVENT THE UPPER BALL JOINT FAILURE IN OUR CASE. *TR

2007 LIBERTY DEVELOPED A SHUDDER IN THE POWER TRAIN AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 30-45 MPH. I HAVE BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER 5 TIMES IN FIVE WEEKS. THEY CLAIM IT IS A NEW TRANSMISSION DESIGN BY CHRYSLER TO GET BETTER MILEAGE. I CLAIM IT IS THE WORST ACTING AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION I HAVE EVER OWNED (40YR OF DRIVING). THE DEALER ALSO CLAIMS THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS ACTING THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED TO ACT. YET, THE SALES FORCE NEVER MENTIONED THE UNIQUENESS OF THE NEW TRANSMISSION. *TR
I PURCHASED A JEEP LIBERTY IN 2007, WITHIN A FEW MONTHS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE I HAD TO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET THE WINDOWS FIXED BECAUSE THEY WOULD FALL DOWN THE DOOR AND OFF THE TRACK. THIS HAS NOW OCCURRED EVERY 3 MONTHS BUT ALL DIFFERENT WINDOWS IN THE VEHICLE. I HAVE ASKED BEFORE WHY THEY KEEP NEEDING TO BE REPLACED AND I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE MOTOR FOR THE WINDOWS IS A CHEAP PLASTIC PART THAT DOESN'T HOLD UP WELL. IT HAS COME TO THE POINT WHERE I NOW HAVE TO KEEP PIECES OD WOOD IN MY GLOVE COMPARTMENT SO IF THE WINDOW FALLS DOWN I CAN STICK THE WOOD IN THE WINDOW AND HOLD THE WINDOW UP. *TR
WINDOWS FALLING DOWN OFF OF TRACKS 6 DIFFERENT TIMES. THE ONLY WINDOW THAT HAS YET TO FALL IS THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. ( THE 6TH TIME JUST HAPPENED AND I WILL BE TAKING THE CAR IN ON 10/25/16
MY 3 YEAR OLD CHILD WAS RESTRAINED IN AN EVENFLO "BIG KID BOOSTER SEAT" IN THE REAR-MIDDLE SEAT POSITION OF A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. THEY WERE T-BONED BY A DRUNK DRIVER RUNNING A RED LIGHT, AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED-OVER SEVERAL TIMES, ULTIMATELY LANDING ON THE ROOF. THE EMS PERSONNEL AND THE EMERGENCY ROOM DOCTORS BOTH DEEMED THE CHILD BOOSTER SEAT TO BE "INADEQUATE" AND A "VERY POOR RESTRAINT," (AS WRITTEN IN MY DAUGHTER'S MEDICAL RECORDS). EVERY INTERCONNECTING COMPONENT BECAME LOOSE, ULTIMATELY RESULTING IN MY DAUGHTER HITTING HER HEAD & RECEIVING A DEEP CUT, WHICH HAS LEFT HER WITH A PERMANENT SCAR. *JB
THE 2007 JEEP LIBERTY SPORT MY PARENTS AND 3 YEAR OLD CHILD WERE IN WAS T-BONED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BY ANOTHER CAR THAT WAS TRAVELING AT APPROX. 45 MPH UPON IMPACT, RESULTING IN THE JEEP ROLLING OVER SEVERAL TIMES. THE OTHER CAR STRUCK THE JEEP DIRECTLY IN THE MIDDLE, CAUSING THE MIDDLE SECTION TO CAVE IN, FORCING THE PASSENGER SEAT INTO THE DASH/GLOVE COMPARTMENT. THE REAR AXLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE SEPARATED FROM THE FRAME, THE DRIVE-TRAIN SEPARATED, THE GAS TANK RUPTURED, AND THE REAR SHOCK SPRINGS CAME OFF. THE PERSON SEATED IN THE FRONT PASS. SEAT SUSTAINED A SPINAL FRACTURE AND BRAIN HEMORRHAGING. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INTERNAL BRUISING/DAMAGE FROM HITTING THE STEERING WHEEL, ULTIMATELY BREAKING THE STEERING COLUMN. ALL OCCUPANTS WERE WEARING THEIR SEAT BELTS. *TR
AS YOU'RE ALL AWARE ABOUT THE CONSTANT AND PREDICTABLE WINDOW REGULATOR FAILURE ON PRETTY MUCH ALL JEEP LIBERTY'S CONTINUES TO THIS DAY. I REALIZE THE WARRANTY HAS BEEN EXTENDED AN ADDITIONAL SEVEN YEARS BUT THE REPLACEMENT PART HASN'T BEEN UPGRADED. MY JEEP HAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000 MILES ON IT AND THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED OVER FIFTEEN TIMES. GRANTED THE WARRANTY PAID FOR ABOUT HALF OF THEM BUT I'M DISABLED AND LIVING ON SOCIAL SECURITY AND CAN'T AFFORD THIS DEFECT MUCH LONGER. I THOUGHT ABOUT SELLING IT BECAUSE IT'S OTHERWISE FLAWLESS HOWEVER, WORDS HAS GOTTEN AROUND AND THE RESALE I'M TOLD IS ABOUT 1,500 DOLLARS. AT THE MOMENT TWO OF MY WINDOWS ARE TAPED CLOSED. IF I HAD TO PAY FOR ALL THE REGULATORS THAT FAILED IT WOULD'VE COST APPROXIMATELY 9,000 DOLLARS. SINCE THE 7 YEAR EXTENSION HAS NOW EXPIRED I USUALLY HAVE TO REPLACE ONE ABOUT EVERY 3-4 MONTHS. AND, I ONLY PUT LESS THAN 1000 MILES A YEAR ON MINE. I MOST LIKELY WOULD HAVE TRADED IT IN FOR A NEW ONE BUT BECAUSE JEEP DECIDED THE MONEY THEY MADE WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN CUSTOMER LOYALTY COUNT ME OUT AND THE MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE AWARE OF MY SITUATION FEEL THE SAME. I'M SURE YOU HEARD ABOUT THIS SEVERAL MILLION TIMES BY NOW MY COMPLAINT WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO YOUR SPAM MAIL FOLDER. DO AS YOU PLEASE AND ME AND EVERYONE WHO'S AWARE OF THIS WILL DO THE SAME.

SHE PULLED OVER AND NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT WHEEL WAS TURNED INWARD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A CHRYSLER DEALER. THE CAUSE OF FAILURE WAS DIAGNOSED AS A CRACKED CONTROL HANDLE ON THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT WHEEL. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 4,000.
WE RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY SPORT. AFTER OWNING IT FOR LESS THAN A MONTH WE STARTED TO NOTICE THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE (OR SHUDDER) WHEN MAINTAINING SPEEDS BETWEEN 35-70 MPH. THE PROBLEM SEEMED TO GET WORSE WHEN DRIVING UP HILLS. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO A LOCAL JEEP DEALERSHIP AND THE TORQUE CONVERTER WAS REPLACED. WE HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE BACK FOR APPROXIMATELY A MONTH NOW AND ARE EXPERIENCING THE SHUDDER AGAIN. WE HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE SERVICE SHOP NEXT WEEK. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE IDLING ON A MODERATELY LEVELED HILL AT A STOP LIGHT, THE VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARDS, AND ALMOST CAUSED A CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY REPROGRAMMED THE PCM. WEEKS LATER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPAIRED IT ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V341000 (POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION). WEEKS AFTER THE REPAIR, THE FAILURE RECURRED A THIRD TIME. THERE ARE NO WARNING INDICATORS PRIOR TO THE FAILURES. SHE FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. I PURCHASED A NEW 2007 JEEP LIBERTY AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT COME FROM THE FACTORY WITH A TRAILER HITCH OR WIRING HARNESS. ON JUNE 14, I HAD THE DEALER INSTALL THE CHRYSLER RECOMMENDED HARNESS. THE HARNESS THEY INSTALLED IS THE ONE CHRYSLER SUPPLIES AND REQUIRES FOR VEHICLES WITH AN OVERHEAD CONSOLE, WHICH MY VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH. IT IS A SEVEN-WAY HARNESS, SPECIFIED AS MOPAR PART NUMBER 82207248. AFTER THE HARNESS WAS INSTALLED BY THE DEALER, I NOTICED THAT THE RUNNING LIGHTS ON MY TRAILER WERE NOT WORKING. I TOOK IT TO A DEALER WHO TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO FIX IT, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL, EVEN WITH ADVICE GIVEN BY THE CHRYSLER TECHNICAL HOTLINE. WHEN I CALLED CHRYSLER'S HOTLINE TO SEE IF IT WAS POSSIBLE TO FIX, THEY TOLD ME THEY PROVIDED THE DEALER WITH THE INFORMATION TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND THAT IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM, BUT THE DEALER'S. THEY SUGGESTED I TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALER. IN LIGHT OF THE FACT THAT TWO CHRYSLER DEALERS WERE UNABLE TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM ALREADY, SUGGESTING THAT I GO TO YET ANOTHER DEALER WAS VERY POOR ADVICE. THE SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM BOTH DEALERS WAS EXCELLENT, HOWEVER, THE CHRYSLER HOTLINE PERSONNEL WERE VERY RUDE TO ME, HAD NO CONCERN IN REGARD TO CORRECTING THE PROBLEM, AND PLACED BLAME ON THE DEALERS. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THIS HARNESS WILL NOT WORK AS REQUIRED FOR THE 2007 JEEP LIBERTY. ALTHOUGH THE BRAKE LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS WORK, THE RUNNING LIGHTS ON THE TRAILER DO NOT. I REQUEST THAT ALL 2007 LIBERTIES THAT HAVE THE DEALER INSTALLED TRAILER PACKAGE WITH THE MOPAR HARNESS NUMBER 82207248 BE RECALLED AND FIXED. THIS PROBLEM IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND ONE FOR WHICH CHRYSLER NEEDS TO FIND A FIX, RATHER THAN CONTINUING TO PLACE BLAME ON THE DEALERS. *TR

I DON'T HAVE A SAFETY COMPLAINT. THIS IS ABOUT WATER STAINS ON THE SEATS. I OWN A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY AND I HAVE SPOKE WITH THE COMPANY AND THE DEALER, AND NOW I HAVE NOTIFIED THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. WATER DOES NOT STAIN OR RATHER NEVER IN ANY OF MY OTHER CARS. IT DOES NOT TAKE A GENIUS TO FIGURE THIS OUT. THE COMPANY IS IN MAJOR DENIAL ABOUT THIS. I PURCHASED A NEW 2007 JEEP LIBERTY ON MARCH 19, 2007 IT HAD UNDER 20 MILES ON IT. AFTER LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP THE JEEP OVERHEATED ABOUT 15 MILES LATER. I PULLED OVER, POPPED THE HOOD, AND SAW THAT THE COOLANT OVERFLOW TANK WAS BONE DRY. IT TOOK ABOUT 1 GALLON OF COOLANT TO FILL THE TANK. WITHIN MINUTES OF FILLING THE TANK I HEARD A GURGLING NOISE WHEN I WOULD MAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN. I DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME, SINCE IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT AND PARKED IT. THE FOLLOWING MORNING I POPPED THE HOOD AND NOTICED THAT THE COOLANT LEVEL HAD DROPPED. THIS CONTINUED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY AND THE FOLLOWING DAY. TWO DAYS AFTER I PURCHASED THE JEEP, ON MARCH 21, 2007, I BROUGHT THE JEEP BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. UPON INSPECTION THEY FOUND COOLANT IN THE ENGINE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND HAD A SERIOUS PROBLEM. THEY TOOK THE ENGINE APART, AND FOUND NOT ONLY A BLOWN HEAD GASKET, BUT ALSO A DEFECTIVE ENGINE BLOCK. THEY WERE IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING THE ENTIRE ENGINE. THE ORIGINAL ENGINE WAS SEVERELY DEFECTIVE AND COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. DAIMLER CHRYSLER WILL NOT EXTEND MY WARRANTY OR OFFER ANY SATISFACTORY CUSTOMER SERVICE REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. IN FACT, THEY WON'T EVEN DISCUSS IT WITH ME. THEY TOLD ME TO TALK TO THE DEALERSHIP. WHO ADVISED ME TO TALK TO CHRYSLER CORPORATION. I PUT A TOTAL OF 90 MILES ON A NEW VEHICLE IN 2 DAYS, AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE IT IN A WEEK DUE TO A FAILED ENGINE.*AK

PURCHASED JEEP DEC, 2006 FOR MY BIRTHDAY/CHRISTMAS. AS OF 4 WEEKS AGO, WHILE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT THE BRAKES GO TO THE FLOOR. (1ST TIME IT OCCURRED THERE WAS A WHOOSHING SOUND). TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP (ON 3/26/07) WHERE PURCHASED AND MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED. PICKED UP FROM SVC DEPT. ON MARCH 28TH (WED) AND THEN THE NEXT EVENING (THURS) IT WORSENED. WE RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP ON FRI., MARCH 30TH AND AS OF TODAY (APRIL 5TH)WITH LIBERTY STILL THERE, THEY SAY NOTHING IS WRONG AND THAT IT MEETS DAIMLER CHRYSLER STANDARDS. AND WE ARE TO PICK IT UP. THEY WILL NOT REFER WHERE WE CAN GET IT REPAIRED AND IS FULLY UNDER WARRANTY. WE OWN A JEEP WRANGLER, NO PROBLEMS WITH THAT JEEP. WE NEED AN EXPLANATION, BEFORE THERE IS ANOTHER CRASH AS THERE WAS IN PORT ARANSAS, WHERE THE JEEP LIBERTY LOST CONTROL HIT ANOTHER CAR AND EXPLODED AND THE PEOPLE WERE BURNED BEYOND RECOGNITION! MY JEEP LIBERTY SPORT CRD HAS 16000 MILES ON IT, AND SINCE NEW IT HAS HAD A SHUDDER OR STUMBLE FROM 50 TO 60 MPH. IT HAS HAD REPAIRS TO FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT IT STILL REMAIN TO THIS DAY. THIS PROBLEM CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO LOOSE CONTROL IN THE WINTER CONDITIONS IN MY AREA. WHICH CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO END UP IN THE DITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC NUMEROUS TIMES HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN WHAT PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED EACH TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
