THE AIRBAG LIGHT AND CHIMES CONSTANTLY GO ON AND OFF. I WORK A MILE FROM HOME AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CHIME SOUNDS 10-15 PER TRIP TO WORK. THE PROBLEM HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY OR WHILE DRIVING ANY SPEED, AND RAIN OR SHINE.
DRIVING MY 09 JEEP PATRIOT APPROXIMATELY 25MPH WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS IN A BLIND SPOT AND DROVE INTO THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE OF MY VEHICLE, PUSHING THE FRONT LEFT SIDE INTO A WALL. THE AIRBAGS NEVER WENT OFF AS THE CAR IS NOW TOTALED. OTHER DRIVERS AIRBAGS WENT OFF. I RECIEVED ATTENTION AT THE HOSPITAL FOR WHIPLASH AND A CONCUSSION FROM HITTING MY HEAD OFF OF THE A-FRAME AND HEADREST.
SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT WHILE DRIVING STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT NO IMPACT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2009 JEEP PATRIOT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED THE VEHICLE INTO A POLE. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE FLIPPED MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BRUISING THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
