TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 JEEP PATRIOT 4X4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR LOCK NUT AND COTTER PIN THAT HELD THE BRAKE DRUM AND ROTOR ASSEMBLY WAS RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE DEALER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND THEREFORE WOULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
2010 JEEP PATRIOT. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE DESIGN FLAW THAT WAS REPAIRED. *SMD ..UPDATED 04/24/13 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THAT WHEN PRESSING THE BRAKE IT WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE CONSUMER WAS ADVISED THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LINE WAS WRAPPED AROUND THE BACK BREAK LINE. THIS PUT A WHOLE ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE OF THE BREAK LINE WHICH CAUSED FLUID TO LEAK OUT.
