CLOCK SPRING NEEDS REPLACEMENT ON THE JEEP. THE VEHICLE HAS 43000 MILES AND HAS BEEN DRIVEN LIGHTLY OFF-ROAD. THE WARNING LIGHT CONSTANTLY GOES ON/OFF WITH A WARNING SOUND. THE ERROR CODE DISPLAYS "AIR BAG SENSOR", BUT MY NEIGHBORHOOD MECHANIC TELLS ME ITS THE CLOCK SPRING THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, DODGE DEALER (MOSS BROS) IN CA SAYS NO RECALLS ARE NOTED FOR MY 2011 JEEP.

FUEL SPRAYS OUT OF FILLER WHEN FILLING FUEL TANK. THE NOZZLE SHUTS OFF AND THEN THE FUEL FLOWS OUT ONTO OPERATOR AND EXTERIOR OF CAR AND GROUND.
WHEN REFUELING, THE GAS DOES NOT SHUT OFF AND SPILLS OUT OF THE TANK UNTIL USER SHUTS OFF. THIS HAPPENS EACH TIME YOU REFUEL AND YOU ARE UNABLE TO FILL UP TO SHUT OFF. I HAVE SPILLED GASOLINE, ON VEHICLE, CLOTHING, GROUND, GAS PUMP, ETC. THIS IS A PRETTY SERIOUS ISSUE AND I COULD NOT FIND A RECALL. I DON'T THINK THIS SHOULD BE IGNORED. I HAD TO ADD A DATE BELOW, JUST THE LATEST TIME IT HAS BEEN AN ISSUE. IT HAS OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES TO MYSELF AND MY SPOUSE.
MY JEEP WAS UNABLE TO GO INTO REVERSE, WENT AND GOT THE CHECKED AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS BAD. WHEN I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE IT HAD ONLY 8K MILES ON IT I KEPT THE MANTINANCE UP ON THE JEEP UNBELIEVABLE THAT I HAVE TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION ON A 2011 JEEP. SO DISAPPOINTED.
AIRBAG LIGHT RANDOMLY TURNED ON WITHOUT REASON.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. AFTER TAKING IT IN FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, THEY SAID MY PCM FAILED. MY JEEP WILL NOT PASS EMISSIONS THE COMPUTER IS NOT OPENING AND CLOSING MY EGR VALUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,500. *DT*JB
THE HORN STOPPED WORKING, TO MY KNOWLEDGE SINCE WE NEVER HAD TO USE IT UNTIL11/8/18, THE DAY WE HAD TO ESCAPE THE CAMP FIRE. MAYBE IT NEVER WORKED! IS THIS A RECALLED ISSUE? IN MOTION CITY STREET.
I BOUGHT MY JEEP WITH 67,000 MILES, WITHIN A YEAR BEFORE REACHING 100,000 MILES IT WAS ONLY AT ABOUT 99,000MILES WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND APPARENTLY THE ENGINE WASN'T LUBRICATING CORRECTLY AND A BEARING IN THE ENGINE SHATTERED. EVEN THOUGH I CHANGE MY OIL EVERY 3,000 MILES WITH HIGH MILEAGE BECAUSE MY SPOUSE WORKS ON CARS HE IS ALWAYS MAKING SURE. AFTER LOOKING INTO THIS FURTHER THIS ENGINE IS KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE JEEP COMMUNITY TO FAIL BEFORE REACHING 100,000 MILES YET JEEP STILL HAS NOT USED AN EXTENSION FOR THE ENGINE. I SPENT ALMOST 20,000 DOLLARS ON THIS VEHICLE ONE YEAR AGO AND NOW I'M DRIVING AROUND WITH AN ENGINE THAT WILL FAIL SOON BECAUSE I HAVE TO GET TO WORK SOMEHOW AND THE WARRENTY ON THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY A FIVE YEAR 100,000 MILES WARRENTY SO IT DOESN'T COVER IT. I THINK JEEP SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR SELLING PEOPLE THESE ENGINES KNOWING THEY WILL FAIL BEFORE 100,000 MILES AND THAT THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE AND EXTEND THE ORIGINAL WARRANTIES TO 10 YR 150,000 MILES FOR PEOPLE WHO EXPIERIENCE THIS KIND OF ENGINE FAILURE AND NOW HAVE TO PURCHASE A NEW ENGINE OUT OF POCKET. I NEED SOMEONE TO CONTACT ME REGARDING THIS ISSUE I WILL NOT SIT BACK AND REMAIN SILENT UNTIL IT IS RESOLVED. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER LIVING ON LIMITED INCOME AND HAVE TO TAKE FROM MY SAVINGS TO COVER AN ENTIRE NEW ENGINE. FOR A CAR I BOUGHT 1 YEAR AGO AND DIDN'T EVEN GO 100,000 MILES BEFORE EXPLODING. AND I DIDN'T EVEN PUT THE MOST MILES ON IT. I'VE ONLY GONE ABOUT 40,000 MILES. SO IN REALITY THIS WAS MOST LIKELY AN ISSUE BEFORE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE.
I EXPERIENCED A "VIOLENT" SHAKING OF MY 2011 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED TWICE BEFORE TAKING IT INTO THE SHOP. THE FIRST TIME, IN LATE OCTOBER 2018, I WAS GOING AROUND 40MPH AND WAS ON A BUSY ONE LANE HIGHWAY. I HAD NEVER FELT ANYTHING LIKE IT BEFORE. THE JEEP BEGAN TO SHAKE BACK AND FORTH VIOLENTLY. I SLOWED DOWN AND THE SHAKE WENT AWAY. THE SECOND TIME WAS 4 OR 5 DAYS LATER ON AN INTERSTATE. THIS TIME THE JEEP (GOING ABOUT 55MPH) SHOOK SO MUCH, IT PULLED THE CAR INTO THE PASSING LANE BEFORE SLOWING DOWN AND MAINTAINING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY AND FOUND A LESS BUSY ROAD TO GET HOME. I TOOK THE JEEP IN TO GET LOOKED AT AND THEY REPLACED THE "TRACK BAR" FOR $500. TWO DAYS LATER THE SAME INCIDENT OCCURRED AGAIN AND HAS HAPPENED ONCE OR TWICE SINCE, EACH TIME GOING BETWEEN 40MPH AND 60MPH. BASED ON THE EXPERIENCES I HAVE HAD, I CANNOT AFFORD TO DRIVE THE CAR ANYMORE. I HAVE A BABY DAUGHTER BORN JUST A WEEK AGO AND AM NOT WILLING TO RISK HAVING THE JEEP FALLING APART, ROLL OVER, OR VEER INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC.

THE AXEL ASSEMBLY. JEEP HAS EXTREMELY LOW MILES AND I HAVE NOTHING BUT ISSUES WITH THE AXELS AT THE FRONT OF MY JEEP
I WAS DRIVING 45 MPH SOUTHBOUND ON HIGHWAY 101 IN CALIFORNIA. I STARTED SMELLING A BURNING SMELL FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I WAS COMING UP TO TRAFFIC AND BEGAN TO PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL AND REALIZED THAT I HAD VERY LITTLE BRAKE PRESSURE. I THEN SWITCHED LANES IN PREPARATION TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY. AS I GOT OFF THE NEXT EXIT WITH VERY LITTLE BRAKE PRESSURE, THE SMELL GOT WORSE AND SMOKE BEGAN TO COME OUT FROM UNDER THE ENGINE BAY. AS SOON AS A I GOT OFF THE NEXT EXIT, I PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT AND HAND TO USE THE HAND BRAKE TO GET THE CAR TO STOP. I HAD NO BRAKE PRESSURE LEFT. AS SOON AS I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, FLAMES STARTED COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE ENGINE BAY. I GRABBED WHAT I COULD AND EXITED THE VEHICLE AND CALLED 911 REQUESTING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO PUT THE FIRE OUT. THE FIRE STARTED UNDER THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE ENGINE BAY. THAT IS WHERE THE FLAMES WERE SEEN VISIBLY FIRST. I HAVE NO AFTERMARKET PARTS OR MODS OUTSIDE OF MOPAR (OEM). CAR HAS BEEN MAINTAINED AND SERVICE BY PUTNAM JEEP IN BURLINGAME. NO OFFROAD USAGE EITHER.
THE VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING IF YOU HIT A BUMP IT HAS A CHANCE OF THE FRONT END SHAKING VIOLENTLY UNTIL YOU STOP THE VEHICLE SO IT WILL STOP SHAKING
CRACK IN GAS TANK - THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED YESTERDAY WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC. THERE IS A CRACK IN THE TOP OF THE GAS TANK. MY MECHANIC SAID THAT AFTER RESEARCH IN TRYING TO GET A NEW GAS TANK, HE FOUND THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE. MOPAR HAS A SIGNIFICANT BACKORDER FOR THESE TANKS. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE AND I HOPE IT WILL BE LOOKED INTO.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FEDERICO CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1875 E EDWARDSVILLE RD, WOOD RIVER, IL 62095, (618) 254-1000) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLOCKSPRING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V288000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,537.
AIR BAG LIGHT FLASHING ON AND OFF WITH CHIME.
THE CLOCK SPRING ON MY JEEP APPEARS TO HAVE FAILED. THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON MY JEEP IS ON. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS AS LONG AS THIS LIGHT IS ON THE AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE WILL NOT DEPLOY AS INTENDED. I'VE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND JEEP (FCA US) RECALLED A MAJORITY OF JEEPS FROM '07-'12 FOR THIS ISSUE. ADDITIONALLY THEY ISSUED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE CLOCK SPRING FOR MOST WRANGLERS FROM '11-'16. MY VEHICLE SHOULD FALL WITHIN EACH. I'M BEING TOLD BY BOTH FCA US AND THE JEEP DEALERSHIP THAT THIS ISSUE IS NOT COVERED ON MY JEEP. THIS SEEMS WRONG WHEN THE CLOCK SPRING ISSUE IS A KNOWN DEFECT THAT PRESENTS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN.
JEEP HAS A LEAK AT MOULDED VALVE FOR EVAP SYSTEM ON THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK
TAKATA RECALL - BOUGHT MY VEHICLE, NO LIGHT WAS EVER ON. ABOUT 4 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING VEHICLE TILL PRESENT - AIRBAGS LIGHT COMES ON WITH DINGS, STAYS ON. ELECTRICAL IS FAILING, CAN'T SEEM TO FIND THE REASON FOR THE ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS. CRUISE AND TRAC CONTROL KICK ON AND OFF WHENEVER THEY WANT TO, THAT HAS BEEN SCARY (MOVING ALL 4 TIMES, 4 ON INTERSTATE, 1 AS I WAS TURNING A SHARP TURN AFTER I HAD SLOWED). IN THE DATE SLOT BELOW, I WILL PUT THE 1ST KNOWN TIME IT HAPPENED TO ME, AS THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL.
THE FUEL TANK RUSTED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE TANK WAS ON BACKORDER AND THIS WAS AN ONGOING ISSUE.
EXTREME HOOD FLUTTER AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OR HIGH WINDS
MY EMERGENCY BRAKE KEEPS POPPING LOOSE WHEN ENGAGED. I HAD THE DEALERSHIP TIGHTEN IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT HOWEVER IT NEVER FELT LIKE IT WAS TIGHT. RECENTLY I'VE HAD MORE WORK DONE TO THE JEEP AND I ASKED THEM TO LOOK AT IT. THE RESPONSE WAS THAT IT CAN NOT BE TIGHTENED, IT HAS TO BE REPLACED. HE SAID THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON WRANGLERS. THE REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE WARRANTIED FOR 2 YEARS. AS FAR AS THE DATE FOR WHICH IT HAPPENED I WOULD HAVE TO SAY IT'S BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM EVER SINCE WE'VE OWNED IT.

THE CONTACT STATED SHE CALLED UNITED AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE CENTER LOCATED AT 1135 WAYNE AVE, CHAMBERSBURG, PA 17202, (717)267-2175, AND NOTIFIED THE DEALER OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,00.
AIRBAG LIGHT IN ON INDICATING A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAG. I CONTACTED JEEP AND THEY SAID THE REPAIR WOULD BE $600. IF THIS IS A SAFETY ITEM DUE TO NO RESULT OF MY OWN, THEN WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR?
GAS TANK OVERFLOWS WHEN FILLING VEHICLE.. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON LINE
WHEN I FILL UP AT THE PUMP GAS OVERFLOWS - TRIED DIFFERENT STATIONS AND SETTING ON THE LEVER.
DRIVING HOME FRIDAY NIGHT ENGINE STARTED HARD KNOCKING AND HAD CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. THROWN ROD. CALLED LOCAL JEEP DEALER AND CORRESPONDED WITH MOTHER SHIP JEEP - TOLD ME TO POUND SAND. MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEING A CANADIAN CAR AND NO WARRANTY - HOW WOULD I KNOW THAT?
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD GOING 55 MPH AND A HUGE GUST OF WHITE SMOKE CAME THRU THE DASH VENT SYSTEM SO I PULLED OVER AND GOT OUT OF MY JEEP SAHARA AND NOTICED A BIG MASS OF WHITE SMOKE COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD... 2 MINUTES LATER, FIRE STARTED AND WITHIN A COUPLE MINUTES MY WHOLE FRONT PART OF THE JEEPS ENGINE WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THAN FROM THERE IT BURNED UP THE REST OF THE JEEP.. THIS VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED IN A MATTER OF 10-15 MINUTES.. I WAS DRIVING ON A PAVED ROAD IN THE COUNTRY ..
WHEN FUELING THE GAS TANK, GAS WILL SPEW OUT IN LARGE VOLUMES BEFORE THE GAS PUMP HABDLE DEACTIVATE ALLOWING GAS TO SPILL OVER THE SIDE OF JEEP AND ON TO THE GROUND. IT HAPPENS AT MULTIPLE GAS STATIONS AND MULTIPLE PUMPS. PROBLEM IS WITH JEEP, NOT THE GAS PUMP HANDLE. SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH REVEALS A MIRIAD OF THE SAME PROBLEM. VEHICLE IS STATIONARY. NOTE: HAS HAPPENED ALOT PRACTICALLY EVERYTIME, NOT JUST THE DATE ENTERED.
VEHICLE JUMPS OUT OF FIRST GEAR AT RANDOM TIMES.
MY JEEP OVERFLOWS GASOLINE EVERYTIME I FILL UP AT THE PUMP
JUST BOUGHT THE JEEP, USED IN DEC 2017. EVERY TIME I FILL THE TANK, THE FUEL BACKS UP THE FILLER NECK CAUSING A MESS ON MY JEEP AND THE GROUND. EVERY TIME.
AIRBAG LIGHT CONSTANTLY ON. FAULTY CLOCK WIRE SPRING?
EVERY TIME I FILL MY GAS TANK I HAVE GASOLINE SPRAY BACK AND OVERFILL POURING OUT FROM THE GAS TANK. THE GAS SPILLS ALL OVER MYSELF, MY JEEP AND THE GROUND. HAPPENS EVERY TIME REGARDLESS OF WHERE I FILL UP.
OUR JEEP HAS BEEN "SLIPPING" OUT OF GEAR, NO KNOWN CAUSE HAS BEEN FOUND. THE JEEP WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN IN GEAR (MANUAL) WHEN MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING, HE DOWNSHIFTED AND IT GOT WORSE FROM THERE. MY HUSBAND PULLED OVER THE JEEP AND WAS UNABLE TO GET POWER TO START AND PLACE IN GEAR.
GAS SHOOTING BACK AT ME WHEN I FILL UP. HORRENDOUS AND A SAFETY ISSUE. ALL OVER MY CHILD NEXT TO ME. I WANT TO SUE JEEP.
FUEL SHOOTING OUT OF GAS TANK WHEN FILLING UP. DOES NOT SHUT OFF, SENDING FUEL FLYING OUT ALL OVER VEHICLE AND CONCRETE. VEHICLE STATIONARY, NOT RUNNING. BEGAN IN EARLY JANUARY 2018 AND CONTINUES WITH EACH FILL-UP.
DRIVERS DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR IS MALFUNCTIONING. REPAIR SHOP SAID IT IS BAD
AIRBAG LIGHT ON. BELIEVE BAD CLICK SPRING, AS HAS BEEN STARTING TO MAKE NOISE WHEN TURNING STEERING WHEEL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE TRAVELING BETWEEN 55-65 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHOOK UNCONTROLLABLY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED BEFORE OR AFTER THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO I.G. BURTON CHEVROLET OF MILFORD (793 BAY RD, MILFORD, DE) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STABILIZER FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 84,000.
I HAVE A 2011 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED RUBICON, I BOUGHT IT NEW AND IT HAS NOT BEEN OFF ROAD EXCEPT IN A FIELD OR TWO AND THE ONLY MUD IT HAS SEEN IS FROM THE ROAD. IT HAS NOT BEEN LIFTED NOR DOES IT HAVE OVER SIZED TIRES. I HAVE HAD MY ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT COME ON A FEW TIMES IN THE 6 YEARS I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE, BUT IT HAS ALWAYS WENT RIGHT BACK OFF. IT AND THE ABS CAME ON A FEW WEEKS AGO AND WILL NOT GO OFF, BECAUSE IT THINKS MY VEHICLE IS SLIDING OR SPINNING, THE RIGHT FRONT BRAKES WILL GRAB AND IT CUTS THE POWER TO THE ENGINE. TODAY I WAS PULLING OUT ONTO A MAIN ROAD AND THE BRAKES WERE ACTING LIKE THE ABS(THAT WARNING LIGHT IS ALSO ON) WAS PULSING, I COULD FEEL IT IN THE PEDAL. AS I HIT THE GAS TO PULL ONTO A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY, THE ESC LIGHT STARTED FLASHING AND CUT THE POWER TO MY ENGINE AND I COULD NOT GO. AS I WAS IN A MERGE LANE I WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY CUT TO THE RIGHT AND GET BACK OFF THE ROAD BEFORE I WAS HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON. I HAVE HAD THE JEEP TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ORDERED THE WIRING HARNESS (BROKEN WIRE THEY SAID) TO FIX IT 2 WEEKS AGO AND THEY HAVEN'T CONTACTED ME THAT IT IS IN YET. BUT I WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE THE WIRING IS RAN THROUGH THE FRAME THEY HAVE TO PULL THE BODY OFF TO REPLACE IT. YES IT IS GOING TO COST A LOT TO FIX, BUT I WILL ALSO HAVE TO ARRANGE TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP(WHICH IS ABOUT AN HOUR AWAY) AND UNTIL I AM ABLE TO DO THAT, I STILL HAVE TO DRIVE IT. I CONTACTED JEEP AND TALKED TO SOMEONE WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT THE CONCERNS I HAVE WITH BEING ABLE TO PULL INTO TRAFFIC AND THE BRAKES HOLDING ME BACK AND ASKING IF THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM, BUT THEY SAID NO AND WASN'T REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT IT. AND ALSO, THE WARNING LIGHTS COME AND GO, FLASH AND IT WON'T GO, AS IT DID TODAY WHEN I TRIED TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC.
GASOLINE/FUEL SPIT OR SPRAY-BACK AND OVERFILL SPILLAGE WHEN FILLING FUEL TANK, ESPECIALLY WHEN/AFTER FUEL FILLING NOZZLE SHUTS OFF (AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF). OCCURS PRACTICALLY EVERY TIME I FILL MY TANK.
