THEY PUT ME ON A WAITING LIST TELLING ME THEY ONLY RECEIVE 1-2 PARTS A WEEK. CALLED BACK FEB 24, 2014. THEY STILL HAVE NO PARTS. NOW THERE'S NO WAITING LIST NOW. LETTER SAID TO REPORT IT IF IT'S NOT FIXED IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME, SO HERE'S THE REPORT. DEALER IS CLEAR LAKE JEEP JUST OUTSIDE OF HOUSTON, TX. *TR

THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A DATE IN WHICH THE PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED ABOUT THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

I HAVE A TRANSMISSION OIL TUBE COOLER RECALL, SAFTEY RECALL N28/NHTSA 13V-234. FOR THE BETTER PART OF 6 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE RECALL WORK DONE MY DEALER (PARK CHRYSLER JEEP, BURNSVILLE MN) TELLS ME I AM ON THE LIST BUT THEY DONT HAVE THE PARTS. *JS
2013 JEEP WRANGLER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE RECALL NOTICE. *SMD THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER, IT WOULD BE A MINIMUM OF 40 WEEKS BEFORE THEY WOULD HAVE THE PART IN, BECAUSE THEY COULD ONLY ORDER ONE EVERY TWO WEEKS.

THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS A TWO YEAR WAITING LIST FOR THE RECALL REPAIR AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS ONLY SENDING ONE REMEDY PART TO THE DEALER EVERY TWO WEEKS TO PERFORM THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THIS RECALL SERVICE PERFORMED. WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO PARTS AVAILABLE, THAT I WOULD BE PUT ON A VERY LONG LIST OF CUSTOMERS WAITING FOR A PART TO ARRIVE. THIS DEALERSHIP ONLY GETS 1 PART EVERY 2 WEEKS. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF NAMES ON THE LIST PRIOR TO MINE. HOW CAN THIS BE ACCEPTABLE? *TR

RE: SAFETY RECALL N28/NHTSA 13V-234 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE IN CONTACT WITH THE POWER STEERING FLUID TUBE WHICH MAY CAUSE A LOSS OF TRANSMISSION FLUID AND RESULT IN A LOSS OF TRANSMISSION FUNCTION WHICH WILL INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH. I RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE APPROXIMATELY 2 MONTHS AGO. I CONTACTED THE DEALER (BILLY BENDER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE) WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THEY STATED THAT THEY HAD ME ON A WAITING LIST TO GET THE REQUIRED PARTS. IT HAS BEEN ONE MONTH WITHOUT NOTICE THAT THE SAFETY RECALL PARTS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ORDERED SO I CONTACTED THE DEALER AGAIN TO CHECK ON PARTS. DEALER ADVISED ME THAT I WAS CURRENTLY 9TH ON THE LIST TO RECEIVE THE SAFETY RECALL PARTS. HOWEVER, CHRYSLER JEEP WAS ONLY SENDING THE DEALER ONE (1) SET OF PARTS PER MONTH SO IT WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY 9 MONTHS BEFORE THEY WILL HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX MY VEHICLES' SAFETY RECALL. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A SAFETY RECALL TO GO 2 MONTHS WITHOUT REPAIR LET ALONE FOR CHRYSLER TO ONLY SUPPLY ONLY ONE PART PER MONTH TO DEALERS WHICH WILL ADD 9 ADDITIONAL MONTHS (SINCE I'M 9TH ON THE WAITING LIST) TO GET A SAFETY RECALL FIXED!!!! *TR
ADVISED OF A RECALL CONCERNING AN ISSUE WITH A TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINE. WENT TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE REPAIR MADE, WAS TOLD THAT THE MANUFACTURE WILL ONLY SELL 2 OF THE NECESSARY PARTS TO THE DEALER PER MONTH! I WAS PUT ON A WAITING LIST. IT IS NOW ALMOST 6 MONTHS LATER AND THE REPAIR STILL CAN'T BE MADE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AS THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART BUT FAILED TO ACCELERATE OVER 40 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,529. UPDATED 8/27/14*CN THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE DEALER ADVISED THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS A FAULTY OIL PUMP. IT WAS REPLACED. THIS FIRST TIME THE FAILURE OCCURRED IT WAS ADVISED THAT THE CPU NEEDED TO BE REFLASHED. UPDATED 09/17/14 *JS

I WAS REAR ENDED AS I WAS SLOWING DOWN FOR ANOTHER ACCIDENT IN FRONT OF ME,WHEN MY JEEP GOT REAR ENDED THE MOTOR SPEEDED UP AS I WAS PUSHING DOWN ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I COULD FEEL THE ABS WORKING .ONLY AFTER I HIT THE GEAR SHIFT OUT OF GEAR DID MY JEEP STOP. MY ENGINE CONTINUE TO RUN AT A VERY HIGH RPM. I HAVE A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER THAT I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE THAT I CAN'T SEEM TO GET FIXED. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CLAIM NOT TO HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE REPAIR BECAUSE CHRYSLER HAS NOT SENT THEM THE PARTS. I CALLED CHRYSLER ASSISTANCE CENTER AND THEY CLAIM PARTS HAVE BEEN SENT OUT TO DEALERSHIPS. BOTH ARE GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND AND I AM DRIVING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE. I HAVE NOW RECEIVED THREE RECALL NOTICES ON MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED. THESE NOTICES DESCRIBE A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION THAT COULD RESULT IN CRASH IF NOT FIXED TIMELY. THE PROBLEM IS THAT CHRYSLER CORPORATION IS NOT PROVIDING THE DEALERSHIPS WITH THE PARTS NECESSARY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. WHY WOULD CHRYSLER NOT PROVIDE THE NECESSARY PARTS TO FIX A PROBLEM BEFORE A CRASH OR MAJOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. THE KNOWLEDGE OF THIS RECALL AND MY INABILITY TO GET IT FIXED IN SPITE OF SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO SCHEDULE THE REQUIRED REPAIRS AT MY LOCAL DEALERS HAS CAUSED ME A GREAT DEAL OF STRESS AND ANXIETY AS THERE IS ALWAYS LURKING IN THE BACK OF MY MIND THE POSSIBILITY OF HAVING A CATASTROPHIC MECHANICAL PROBLEM RESULTING IN A SUDDEN CRASH AND POSSIBLY INJURY OR DEATH TO MY FAMILY AND ME. DROVE MY JEEP ABOUT 45 MIN.TO MY SON'S HOUSE TURNED OFF THE KEY GOT OUT OF THE JEEP AND LEFT IT FOR ABOUT 45 MIN. WHEN I CAME BACK TO IT, IT WAS STEAL RUNNING WITH THE KEYS IN MY POCKET. AND IT WAS COVERED WITH STEAM I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO CATCH FIRE WE TRIED TO TURN THE MOTOR OFF BY PUTTING THE KEY BACK IN BUT IT STEEL RAN FOR ABOUT 30 MORE MIN. BEFORE WE PULLED THE FUEL PUMP FUSE OUT. JEEP AND THE DEALER I GOT THE JEEP FROM HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND HAVE ALMOST CALLED ME A LIAR. I AM AFRAID OF THE JEEP AFTER HEARING ABOUT THE FIRE PROBLEMS JEEP HAS BEEN HAVING. BUY THE WAY THE FAN TO KEEP THE ENGINE COOL WAS NOT RUNNING ANY OF THIS TIME. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB WAS ADJUSTED BUT IT FAILED TO RESPOND AND THE VENTS BEGAN TO BLOW EXTREMELY HOT AIR. AS A RESULT, THE WINDSHIELD FRACTURED AND THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER FUSE BLEW OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE, THE WINDSHIELD AND THE FUSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND BOTH THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V631000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VISIBILITY). THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. CHRYSLER CLAIMS TO BE "SINCERELY CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR SAFETY", YET THEY CAN'T PROVIDE ENOUGH REPLACEMENT PARTS TO ENSURE THE RECALL WORK IS DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER!!! *TR

IN CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP AT THAT TIME, THEY HAD NO RECORD OF MY CALL AND MY PARTS HAD NOT BEEN ORDERED. THEY SAID THEY WOULD PUT THE PARTS ON ORDER AGAIN FOR ME AND THAT THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE MID-JANUARY SINCE CHRYSLER IS RELEASING A LIMITED AMOUNT OF THE RECALLED PARTS EACH WEEK. AS OF FEBRUARY 4TH, 2014, I HAD NOT HEARD BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP. I CALLED THEM THE MORNING OF THE 4TH AND GOT THIS REPLY. THEY SAID MY PARTS ARE STILL ON ORDER AND THAT CHRYSLER IS STILL ONLY RELEASING A LIMITED AMOUNT OF THE REPLACEMENT PARTS. IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE TO ME IF A RECALL IS ISSUED AND THE MANUFACTURER SAYS THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE. THIS IS FRUSTRATING AND I FEEL LIKE I AM GETTING THE "RUN-AROUND". WHILE BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE, I WAS MOVING THE SHIFTER TO REVERSE AND HEARD A CLUNK SOUND. IT WAS NOT A SMOOTH SHIFT. IMMEDIATELY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I BACKED THE VEHICLE OUT OF SPACE AND MOVE THE AUTOMATIC SHIFTER TO DRIVE AND HEARD ANOTHER CLUNKING NOISE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON. AS I TRIED TO PICK UP SPEED THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT AND THE RPM'S WENT HIGHER AND HIGHER. WE DROVE THE CAR UP TO 40 MPH AND THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT. SO WE DECIDED TO TAKE THE CAR HOME AND NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE AS THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT SHIFTING PROPERLY OR NOT AT ALL. *TR
