THE CONTACT RECEIVED THE RECALL LETTER SIX MONTHS AGO AND THE DEALER ADVISED THEY ONLY RECEIVED TWO REPAIR KITS PER MONTH. THE CONTACT WAS PLACED ON A WAITING LIST, WHICH THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED WOULD EXCEED SEVERAL MONTHS. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION IN SEPTEMBER, 2013 WARNING THAT THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE MAY COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE POWER STEERING FLUID RETURN TUBE, CAUSING A LEAK AND POSSIBLY A FAILURE OR CRASH. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE AUTONATION DEALERSHIP ON 116TH AVE. IN BELLEVUE, WA A TOTAL OF THREE TIMES SINCE SEPTEMBER 2013 TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. IT IS NOW ALMOST MARCH 2014 AND IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. THEY ARE PLACING ALL THE BLAME ON CHRYSLER FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO SUPPLY THE PARTS. I CALLED CHRYSLER THIS MORNING TO CONFIRM THE INSANE WAITING TIME FOR THE PARTS TO REMEDY THE RECALL. THE IDEA THAT IT TAKES IN EXCESS OF 5 MONTHS JUST TO GET PARTS FOR A SERIOUS RECALL ISSUE IS PREPOSTEROUS, AND THE LACK OF ACTION NEGLIGIBLE. *TR

THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE AN EXPECTED DATE FOR THE PART TO BE AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DELAY. THERE WERE NO FAILURES AT THIS TIME.
ESC LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY ON. THIS RESULTS IN CRUISE CONTROL NOT WORKING, THIS ALSO CAUSES THE MIL (CHECK ENGINE) TO STAY ILLUMINATED. THIS WAS INITIALLY A PROBLEM WHEN I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE NEW. I HAVE IGNORED THIS ISSUE, BUT AFTER RELOCATING TO A NEW STATE, CALIFORNIA REQUIRES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO BE OFF IN ORDER TO PASS A SMOG INSPECTION. I'VE REPLACED THE CLOCK SPRING. NO CHANGE. I BELIEVE MY JEEP IS AFFECTED BY THE SAME ISSUE THAT RESULTED IN NHTSA RECALL NO. 14V-636. I WOULD NOT SAY THAT NHTSA 16V-290 SHOULD APPLY TO THIS VEHICLE, ONLY BECAUSE THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS NOT ON.
I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING NOTICES FOR A RECALL FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND THE DEALER IS UNABLE TO REPAIR IT DUE TO LACK OF PARTS. I WENT TO THE DEALER 7 MONTHS AGO, STILL NO REMEDY. *TR

THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT ABLE TO BE SERVICE UNDER THE RECALL SINCE THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE.
I WAS ALL MOST INJURED/KILLED BY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER WITH 6300 MILES ON IT WHEN THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED ON ITS OWN AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. ON SEP 16 2013 AT 2100 MY JEEP WAS CAUGHT IN A RAIN SHOWER WITH THE TOP AND DOORS OFF FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES BEFORE I GOT OFF WORK, I DROVE IT HOME IN THE RAIN AND PUT IT IN THE GARAGE TO DRY OFF, IT WAS NOT THAT WET SO I THOUGHT I WOULD JUST LET IT AIR DRY,MY DRIVE HOME WAS A LITTLE OVER FOUR MILES. AROUND 2200 I WAS IN BED ON THE PHONE WHEN I LOUD BAG (GUN SHOT I THOUGHT) WENT OFF IN MY GARAGE AND I JUMPED TO CLEAR MY HOME, AS I GOT TO THE GARAGE I SEEN THAT MY AIRBAG WENT OFF AND THE GARAGE CEILING WAS FULL OF SMOKE. THE STEERING COLUMN WAS ALSO SMOKING (I THOUGHT IT WAS ON FIRE) I GOT IT OUT OF MY GARAGE ASP,SO IT DID BURN DOWN MY HOME AND CALLED 911. THE FIRE DEPT CAME AND SAID IT WAS OUT AND I LEFT IT OUT SIDE I COVERED IT UP WITH A CAR COVER FOR THE NIGHT. I THE MORNING I CALLED THE 800 # TO JEEP AND GET IT TOWED TO JEEP DEALERSHIP. AFTER A WEEK JEEP HIRED INSPECTOR TO READ THE COMPUTER. JEEP NOTIFIED ME THAT THEY WILL NOT SAY WHY IT WENT OFF AND IT NOT THERE PROBLEM. AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS TO HAVE A RECALL REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLING TUBE REPAIRED I AM WRITING TO COMPLAIN REGARDING CHRYSLER CORPORATIONS EXTREMELY SLOW RESPONSE TO PROVIDE PARTS TO MY LOCAL DEALER. AFTER RECEIVING THE RECALL NOTICE, I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER FOR THE REPAIR AT THE 3,500 MILE SERVICE. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. DURING THE 7,000 MILE SERVICE VISIT I WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS WERE BEING RATIONED BY CHRYSLER AND MY PARTS WOULD BE ORDERED. DURING THE REQUIRED ALIGNMENT VISIT AT 8,000 MILES, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE 16 PEOPLE IN FRONT OF ME. I NEXT CONTACTED CHRYSLER TO COMPLAIN AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND WERE TRYING TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION. I NEXT EMAILED MY DEALER TO EXPRESS MY FRUSTRATION AND WAS TOLD THAT MY EMAIL WOULD BE SHARED WITH THE DEALERSHIP HIERARCHY. TWO DAYS AGO I RECEIVED MY THIRD RECALL NOTICE AND EMAILED THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN TO SEE IF THE PART HAS ARRIVED WITH NO RESPONSE. *TR

I HAVE A N28 RECALL FOR A TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE. I HAVE HAD APPOINTMENTS TO HAVE THIS CORRECTED AND THE DEALER NW DODGE ON HWY 290 HOUSTON HAS CANCELLED TELLING ME THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS. I UNDERSTAND THE PART IS HARD TO GET. OK SO WHY DO I GET SCHEDULED THEN TOLD THE DAY OFF THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART. CRAZY ..THIS NEEDS ADDRESSED WITH THE JEEP HEAD OFFICE. THIS WEBSITE SYSTEM DOES NOT SEEM PARTICULARLY WELL-SUITED FOR THIS FEEDBACK. I HAVE RECEIVED REPEATED RECALL NOTICES FROM CHRYSLER REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION COOLER TUBE. NHTSA 13V-234. ON THOSE FORMS, IT REQUESTS THAT WE LOG ONTO SAFERCAR.GOV IF THE DEALER FAILS TO REPAIR THE DEFECT WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME. I CANNOT FIND ANY PLACE TO REGISTER THAT COMPLAINT EXCEPT HERE. I HAVE RECEIVED A SERIES OF HARCOPY MAILINGS BETWEEN PERHAPS SEPTEMBER 2013 AND CURRENT (MAR 2014). THEY SUGGEST I CALL A LOCAL JEEP DEALER TO SCHEDULE A REPAIR. EACH TIME I CALL THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF THE LOCAL JEEP DEALER, I GET A DIFFERENT RESPONSE, SUCH AS "WE ONLY HAVE ENOUGH PARTS TO REPAIR VEHICLES ON THE EAST COAST FIRST. WE WILL EVENTUALLY CALL YOU WHEN WE HAVE PARTS AVAILABLE TO REPAIR YOURS IN COLORADO" THE NEXT TIME, THE DEALER SAID THEY STILL DON'T HAVE PARTS, AND THAT I MUST JUST KEEP CALLING BACK EVERY WEEK OR SO TO SEE WHEN THEY ARRIVE. THE THIRD TIME I CALLED THEY ASSURED ME THAT JEEP WILL CALL ME AS SOON AS THEY ARE AVAILABLE. THE FOURTH TIME THE LOCAL DEALER SAID THEY HAD NO MECHANISM TO CONTACT ME WHEN PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE, AND THE BURDEN WAS INDEED ON ME TO KEEP CALLING. WHAT A STUPID SYSTEM. MY DAUGHTER ALSO HAS A JEEP (A 2003 GCHEROKEE). SHE HAS UNDERGONE SIMILAR HASSLES WITH PARTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR MORE THAN A YEAR FOR A RECALL. EACH TIME SHE CALLS IT IS A DIFFERENT STORY. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE NHTSA BELIEVES IS A "REASONABLE TIME". BUT IT SEEMS STUPID TO KEEP MAILING ME HARDCOPY RECALL NOTICES IF JEEP DOESN'T HAVE THE PARTS OR ABILITY TO MAKE THE REPAIR. AND WHEN I CALL JEEP, THEY SHOULD HAVE A TRUE AND CONSISTENT STORY ABOUT WHAT I NEED TO DO TO GET THE REPAIR COMPLETED. *TR
BRAKE BOOSTER MADE EXCESSIVE NOISE. DEALER REPLACED IN SEPTEMBER 2013. PARTS WERE ON BACK ORDER. DEALER STATED THAT THEY HAD OVER 3 OTHERS FOR SAME ISSUE ON ORDER AT DEALERSHIP. JUST HAD SAME BRAKE BOOSTER REPLACED AGAIN FOR SAME COMPLAINT SEPTEMBER 2015.

DRIVERS SEAT DOES NOT REMAIN IN POSITION. UPON ENTERING OR EXITING VEHICLE THE OUTSIDE OF THE SEAT CUSHION PUSHES DOWN ON THE ADJUSTMENT HANDLE LOWERING SEATS POSITION. THE ADJUSTMENT HANDLE CAN ONLY BE MOUNTED IN 120 DEGREE INCREMENTS SO FORGET TRUING TO CHANGE POSITION OF THE HANDLE AS IT'S TO FAR OUT OF USABLE POSITION THAT WAY.

SAFETY RECALL N28/NHTSA 13V-234. I RECEIVED THIS RECALL NOTICE APPROXIMATELY AUGUST 2013. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED FOR APPOINTMENT. THEY HAD NO PARTS. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO CALL AGAIN LATER. I HAVE CALLED AGAIN FOUR MORE TIMES....SAME RESPONSE OVER 5 MONTHS. APPROXIMATELY AT SIXTH MONTH (FEBRUARY 2014) I PHYSICALLY WENT TO DEALER. THEY TOOK MY NAME AND INFO...SAID THEY WOULD ORDER PART AND CALL ME TO MAKE APPOINTMENT FOR REPAIR. I CALLED TWO MONTHS LATER AFTER NOT HEARING FROM THEM AND THEY HAD NO RECORD SHOWING I CAME IN. IT HAS BEEN NEARLY 8-9 MONTHS SINCE RECALL NOTICE AND I CANNOT GET THEM TO COOPERATE OR WORK WITH ME TO GET IT FIXED! WOE TO THEM IF/WHEN MY JEEP CATCHES FIRE OR DAMAGES MY JEEP OR CAUSES INJURY. BOUGHT AT SECRET CITY CHRYSLER JEEP IN OAK RIDGE, TN. MY NAME:[XXX],[XXX]. [XXX]. HE THEN NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE SEAT AND HE EXITED THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION AND WAS DEEMED AS BEING DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,400.

IN AUGUST 2013 I RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL N28 / NHTSA / 13C-234 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUB FOR MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON, I RECEIVED A SECOND NOTIFICATION IN OCTOBER 2013. AFTER RECEIVING THE SECOND NOTIFICATION I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED MY JEEP AND WAS TOLD I WAS THIRD ON THEIR LIST TO HAVE THE SAFETY RECALL COMPLETED. MY SALES REP. EXPLAINED THE REASON FOR THE DELAY WAS CHRYSLER REQUIRES THE DEALERSHIP SEND BACK THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE THEY REPLACED BEFORE CHRYSLER WOULD SEND OUT A NEW ONE. I ASKED WHY I WAS STILL THIRD, HE COULD NOT PROVIDE ME AN ANSWER, BUT INFORMED ME HE WOULD LOOK INTO IT, OVER TWO WEEKS LATER STILL NO ANSWER OR NOTIFICATION. I AM FURTHER INFORMED THAT THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE IN FRONT OF ME ON THE DEALER'S LIST SO WITH ONLY BEING ABLE TO ORDER 2 REPLACEMENT PARTS PER MONTH, IT COULD BE MONTHS BEFORE MY JEEP IS REPAIRED. THE LETTER CONTENTS ARE THE PURPOSE OF THE AIRBAG IS TO DEPLOY IN THOSE IMPACTS WHERE THE ACCIDENT SEVERITY IS GREAT ENOUGH AND THE FRONT-END CRUSH CANNOT MANAGE ALL OF THE ENERGY OF THE IMPACT AND LOWER THE LONGITUDINAL (FRONT TO BACK) DECELERATION IN THE OCCUPANT COMPARTMENT TO THE DESIRED LEVELS.
