ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM: ABS SYSTEM LOCKS WHEELS AND RELEASES THEM EVERY TIME I TRY TO MAKE A TURN WHILE IN MOTION.
FRONT BRAKES ARE STICKING. AFTER I STOP AND PROCEED TO GO THE BRAKES DON'T RELEASE COMPLETELY. IT FEELS LIKE IT IS DRAGGING AND MY BRAKE PAD WERE BURNING.

IN ADDITION, WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PARK, THE BRAKES WOULD EMIT A SQUEAL NOISE AND THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE GLENDALE CHRYSLER DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE'S CALIBER, ROUTER, AND REAR BRAKES FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 31801254 AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT REPAIR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

PAR-K ENTERPRISES (825 S 1ST ST, FULTON, NY 13069, (315) 598-8118) WAS CALLED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
2013 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED RUBICON 4X4 VEHICLE STALLS WHILE DRIVING AND THEN WILL NOT START AGAIN FOR 4-5 MINUTES. THIS HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS AND HAS PUT US IN SOME VERY UNSAFE SITUATIONS. DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A SOLUTION AND CANNOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENS TO US MULTIPLE TIMES PER WEEK. YESTERDAY IT TOOK ME 20 MINUTES TO DRIVE 4 MILES BECAUSE IT STALLED THREE TIMES. I SEE BLOGS WITH MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE BUT STILL NO RECALL. THE DEALERS DO NOT KNOW HOW OR DO NOT WANT TO FIX AND MEANWHILE CONSUMERS ARE STUCK WITH UNRELIABLE, UNSAFE VEHICLES.
60411 MILES. WHEN DOORS ARE OPENED, UNLOCKED WITH KEY FOB, OR THE HOOD OR BACK HATCH IS OPENED, THE HORN WILL SOUND CONTINUOUSLY FOR 30 SECONDS. HOWEVER, HORN IS NON-OPERATIONAL WHEN DEPRESSING HORN BUTTON. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN THIS FIRST OCCURRED. VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN WET INSIDE SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT (1 YEAR AND 40000 MILES).
TIPM ISSUE, JEEP WILL NOT START, ALL INSTRUMENTS LIGHT ARE ON AND SPEEDOMETER DOESN'T WORK. THE JEEP SPUTTERS AND IT VERY DANGEROUS AT HIGH SPEEDS.
I HAVE 2013 JEEP WRANGLE UNLIMITED. I BOUGHT THIS IN 2013 FOR MY WIFE. THE JEEP HAD ABOUT 11,000 MILES ON IT WHEN WE BOUGHT. THE DEATH WOBBLE STARTED OCCURRING ABOUT 6-MONTH INTO OWNERSHIP. I ALIGNED, BALANCED AND REPLACED TWO TIRES. NOW, THE DEATH WOBBLE IS AN EVERYDAY OCCURRENCE. AT 55 MILES PER HOUR, THE WOBBLE OCCURS.
WASHER FLUID AND DOOR LOCKS STOPPED WORKING. DEALER SAYS THE TIMP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED
I HAVE NOTICES ON THE JEEP FORUMS SIMILAR ISSUES WITH ELECTRIC WINDOW NOT GOING DOWN. MY VEHICLE ALL 4 WINDOW ELECTRONICS DO NOT WORK AND THE DEALERS ARE TELLING ME THAT THE TIPM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. WHEN READING, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE THAT NOBODY SEEMS TO WANT TO ADDRESS AS A COMMON DEFECT HOWEVER ITS PRETTY WIDE SPREAD. THE TPIM IS THE COMPLETE FUSE SYSTEM UNDER THE HOOD WHICH MAKES NO SENSE SINCE IT IS ONLY ONE PORTION OF THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND THIS PART THROUGH THE DEALER RUNS ABOUT $1000 PLUS INSTALLATION. SEEMS LIKE IT WOULD BE A PLUG AND PLAY ISSUE BUT NEVER THE LESS THE DEALER SAY THEY NEVER HEARD OF THIS ISSUE. READ THE FORUMS IT SEEMS TO BE A PRETTY CONSISTENT ISSUE NO MATTER WHAT MODEL. YET THE DEALER TELLS YOU TO TURN THE KEY ON AND OFF AND ALSO REMOVE THE BATTER CABLES TO FIX THIS ISSUE. SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING THEY ALREADY ALREADY KNOW ABOUT DONT YA THINK?

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO GET A COOLANT FLUSH WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS CASTING SAND IN THE COOLANT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, UPON RETURNING THE VEHICLE HOME, THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE COOLANT SYSTEM AND NOTICED THAT IT HAD BEEN CONTAMINATED BY SAND PARTICLES. MY LEFT HAND DRIVE JEEP UNLIMITED WRANGLER HAS A CLOCK SPRING ISSUE TOO THAT CANNOT BE RESOLVED. ALL JEEPS NEED TO BE ON THE RECALL, NOT JUST THE RIGHT HAND DRIVE JEEPS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLOCK SPRING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF. DEFAULT CODE SHOWS PROBLEM WITH OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. BUT CHECK ENGINE GOES OFF WHEN VEHICLE IS AT 3/4 FUEL TANK, THEN GOES BACK ON WHEN AT 1/4 FUEL. THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR PROBLEM APPEARS COMMON TO THESE VEHICLES. THERE ARE LOTS OF PEOPLE NOTING THE SAME PROBLEM AND EXPLANATION IS THAT JEEP KNOWS THERE WERE FAULTY OIL PRESSURE SENSORS INSTALLED OVER MANY VEHICLE MODELS AND YEARS. THE REPAIR IS ROUGHLY $400 - $500 AS THE HEAD NEEDS TO BE PULLED TO REPLACE THE SENSOR. HOWEVER, MANY STILL REPORT THE CHECK ENGINE PROBLEM AFTER THE REPAIR IS MADE. UNKNOWN AS TO EXTENT OF DAMAGE THE ENGINE MAY EXPERIENCE DUE TO THIS PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE HAS STOPPED BLOWING HOT AIR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND FEET BUT WILL BLOW HOT AIR ON PASSENGERS SIDE. THIS LEADS TO ISSUES WITH DEFROSTING AND VISIBILITY AS WELL AS THE DRIVER BEING SAFE AND ABLE TO FEEL THEIR FINGERS AND FEET WHILE DRIVING. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHO SAYS THERE IS A STAR REPORT ON THIS ISSUE AND IT IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE. JEEP HOWEVER SAYS I AM OUT OF WARRANTY SO THEY WILL NOT FIX IT. MY EXTENDED WARRANTY BOUGHT THROUGH THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY WILL NOT FIX IT. THE RADIATOR, HEATER CORE OVER FLOW TANK AND ALL OTHER RELATED COMPONENTS ARE THE RECOMMENDED REPAIR.
EMERGENCY BRAKE DOES NOT HOLD THE VEHICLE CAUSING ROLL BACK WHEN PARKED. THE VEHICLE ROLLED BACK IN MY DRIVEWAY RUNNING INTO A TREE AND FENCE AT SLOW SPEED.

A AND TSB-18-034-14 ON SOME MODEL VEHICLES AND JEEPS, (MY 2013-2014) THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) ILLUMINATES AND DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P0520 IS SET REGARDING ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR CIRCUIT. THE TSB OUTLINES REPLACING THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR WITH A "REVISED" PART. CHRYSLER INSTALLED DEFECTIVE SENSORS ON MANY 2013-2014 3.6L ENGINES AND WILL ONLY REPLACE THEM IF THEY FAIL WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. IF THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR IS MALFUNCTIONING, IT MAY NOT ALERT YOU TO AN ISSUE WITH OIL PRESSURE. THIS CAN CAUSE ENGINE FAILURE AND POTENTIAL TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT DUE TO ENGINE FAILURE / LOSS OF POWER.
NOV 3, 2016...I ARRIVED HOME, BACKED MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER 4DR MOAB EDITION INTO HER GARAGE BAY AND LEFT THE BAY DOOR OPEN SINCE IT WAS SUNNY OUT AND WENT UP TO THE HOUSE TO PREPARE DINNER. 20 MINS AFTER COMING HOME, WE HEARD A BOOM, LOOKED OUT TO SEE BLACK SMOKE POURING OUT THE OPEN GARAGE DOOR FOR OUR JEEP. MY HUSBAND RAN DOWN, USED A FIRE EXTINGUISHER ON THE FIRE AND THEN THE WATER HOSE, THEN PUSHED THE VEHICLE OUTSIDE THE GARAGE AND HOSED IT OFF MORE BEFORE THE FIRE DEPT ARRIVED. INVESTIGATION DETERMINED THAT THE FRONT WIRING HARNESS FOR THE HEADLIGHTS, FOG LIGHTS, TRAIL LIGHTS AND WINCH IS WHERE THE FIRE STARTED. THE EXPLOSION WE HEARD WAS A SMALL CANISTER BY THE RADIATOR FOR THE AC.

THE DEALER FLUSHED THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

BOUGHT IT WITH 36,800 MILES ON IT. VEHICLE STARTED TO STALL/DIE AFTER START AND ENGAGING DRIVE OR REVERSE. ALSO CAN DO IT COMING TO A STOP AND STARTING FROM A RED LIGHT. HAS HAPPENED 20 TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. HAPPENED ONCE ON THE FREEWAY IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. ONCE YOU RESTART THE TRANSMISSION TAKES UP TO 10 SECONDS TO SHIFT IN THE SELECTED GEAR. ALSO, WINDOWS FAILED TO OPERATE ON ONE OCCASION, HAD TO STOP TURN OFF ENGINE AND RESTART TO GET TO WORK. A/C BLOWER TURNS OFF INTERMITTENTLY. BLUE TOOTH HAS STOPPED WORKING WITH PHONE. I CANNOT HEAR THE PEOPLE ANYMORE THROUGH THE STEREO.
I HAVE A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER, I HAVE HAD IT IN THE SHOP 4 TIMES FOR CYLINDER MISFIRES DUE TO COIL ISSUES. SATURDAY 10/29/2016 I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND STARTED FLASHING THE CAR WAS SHAKING SO BAD I PULLED OVER INSTANTLY. I HAD TO DRIVE IT TO A SAFE PLACE SO I COULD CALL FOR A TOW TRUCK, THE CAR OVER HEATED BECAUSE OF THE COIL MISFIRE. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT HAS HAPPENED TO MORE THAN JUST ME. MY NEW TO ME, BUT STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY, JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA 2DR, CAUGHT FIRE AND BURNED THE DAY I GOT IT. IT HAD BEEN DRIVEN 250KMS FROM THE JEEP DEALER TO ME, THEN PARKED UNTIL THE EVENING. I TOOK IT FOR A DRIVE FOR ABOUT 40KM WITHOUT INCIDENT, PARKED, AND HAD DINNER WITH A FRIEND. AFTER DINNER, I USED THE REMOTE START TO TEST IT, UNLOCKED IT, AND GOT IN AND DROVE OFF. I STOPPED AT A STORE A MINUTE UP THE ROAD, LEFT IT IDLING, AND CAME OUT TO FIND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING. I CYCLED THE IGNITION, AND THE LIGHT WENT OUT. I PROCEEDED TOWARDS HOME, BUT TWO MINUTES LATER THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON, FOLLOWED BY A VERY LOUD BANG, THEN THEN THE SMOKE FROM THE HOOD. I WAS TRAVELLING AT ABOUT 10KM/HR IN A NEIGHBOUTHOOD HAVING JUST TURNED FROM A STOP. MY VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP, MY PASSENGER AND I JUMPED OUT, CALLED 911, AND WATCHED AS A FIRE COMING FROM WHAT APPEARED TO BE THE PASSENGER SIDE, WITH SOMETHING DRIPPING AND BURNING AS WELL, CONSUMED THE FRONT OF THE JEEP. I NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP AND JEEP CANADA BUT HAVE YET TO RECEIVE RESPONSES. INSURANCE DEEMED IT A TOTAL LOSS. I'D OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR 8 HOURS. IT HAD 50,000KMS ON THE ODOMETER, AND ONE OUTSTANDING RECALL (14V-631) THAT WASN'T DONE PRIOR TO DELIVERY TO ME.
I WAS IN MOTION DRIVING MY JEEP RUBICON OFF ROAD IN 4WD HIGH AND WAS HEADING DOWN A STEEP SLOP AND WHILE SHIFTING MY 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION FROM 3RD TO 2ND THE GEAR SHIFT ARM PULLED OF ITS MOUNT. DUE TO THE SHIFT ARM ASSEMBLY COMING OFF, I MISSED 2ND GEAR AND ENDED UP STUCK IN NEUTRAL. BEFORE I REALIZED EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED I HAD TRAVELED ABOUT 20 YARDS FREEWHEELING. DUE TO THE SPEED INCREASE I HAD TO APPLY MY BRAKES WHICH THEN CAUSED THE JEEP TO SLIDE SIDEWAYS. I WAS ABLE TO GAIN CONTROL AND RIDE THE BRAKES DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SLOPE WHERE I INVESTIGATED WHAT HAPPENED AND THEN HAD TO MAKE TEMPORARY REPAIRS AS I WAS STUCK IN A RAVINE WITH NO EASY WAY OUT. AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS ATTEMPTING TO GET THE SHIFT ASSEMBLY REINSTALLED I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE OUT OF THE RAVINE AND BACK TO CAMP TO IMPROVE THE TEMP REPAIR. I DID NOT DRIVE THE JEEP AGAIN THAT WEEKEND UNTIL I WAS READY TO HEAD HOME. I DROVE IT THE 280 MILES HOME WITH THE TEMPORARY REPAIR IN PLACE. *TR
VEHICLE STALLS AT RANDOM TIMES BUT MOST OFTEN WHEN PUTTING INTO REVERSE AFTER SITTING FOR A WHILE. IT HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING ON MAJOR ROADS WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN LIFE THREATENING. THE TRANSMISSION ALSO SHIFTS VERY JERKY AT TIMES FOR NO REAL REASON. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL COME ON RANDOMLY AND USUALLY SEEM TIED TO TURN ON THE TURN SIGNALS WHICH HAPPEN TO BE ON THE OTHER CONTROL KNOB. LIGHTS WILL DIM ON NAV/RADIO WHEN WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE TURNED ON. I WOULD SAY THERE IS AN OBVIOUS ELECTRICAL/COMPUTER ISSUE THAT MUST BE CAUSING THESE THINGS TO HAPPEN. I HAVE READ HUNDREDS OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. *TR
DRIVING AT 45 MPH TODAY ON ROUTE 6 IN SWANSEA MA AND THE ENTIRE FRONT END OF MY JEEP STARTS SHAKING TO THE POINT WHERE I CAN'T CONTROL IT. I TRIED TO SLOW DOWN BUT THE MORE I DID THE MORE THE FRONT END SHOOK BACK AND FORTH FROM SIDE TO SIDE. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF INTO A PARKING LOT. I CHECKED UNDER THE JEEP AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE, THE TIRE TREADS ARE NOT WORN. THE INFLATION OF THE TIRES IS FINE. I JUST HIT 33,000, THE TRUCK WAS JUST INTROSPECTED AND HAD AN ALIGNMENT IN SEPTEMBER. DEATH RUMBLE AS I AVE READ IS COMMON BUT THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE PER YOUR DATABASE. THE TRUCK IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND DUE TO THE YEARS IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. RECOMMENDING A RECALL BASED ON THE 1000S OF REPORTS OF THIS ONLINE. WHEN ROUTINE MAINTENANCE WAS BEING PERFORMED AT THE DEALER THE TRANSMISSION CASE BROKE AROUND A PORTION OF THE CASE WHERE ONE OF THE TRANSMISSION OIL PAN BOLTED ON. ONE OF THE MECHANICS COMMENTED THAT THIS PORTION OF THE TRANSMISSION CASE APPEARED THIN. THE TRANSMISSION CASE WAS SENT BACK TO THE FACTORY BY THE DEALER. I BELIEVE THIS FAILURE OF THE METAL OF THE TRANSMISSION CASE IS DANGEROUS DUE TO THIS BEING A "TRAIL RATED" VEHICLE AND BEING INTENDED FOR EXPOSURE TO OFF ROAD CONDITIONS AND THIS PART FAILURE BEING ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS UNDER THESE CONDITIONS AND, OF COURSE, IF IT WERE TO FAIL IN REGULAR DRIVING. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT IF THIS FAILURE WERE TO OCCUR WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE COULD LOOSE POWER AND THUS LOOSE CONTROL AND UNDER OFF ROAD CONDITIONS COULD CREATE A VERY PRECARIOUS AND ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS CONDITION. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE FRONT AXLE RUSTED OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON, NONE OF THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS INCLUDING THE HORN ARE WORKING.
ON MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA UNLIMITED (LHD), THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND CHIMES EVERY FEW MINUTES. THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AFTER I START THE ENGINE. THE LIGHT STAYS ON AND DASHBOARD CHIMES WHILE DRIVING. THIS INDICATES THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. MECHANICS HAVE TOLD ME THIS IS A FAULTY "CLOCKSPRING". THIS RAISES CONCERNS THAT MY AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY DURING AN ACCIDENT OR WILL DEPLOY PREMATURELY. DAIMLER CHRYSLER HAS REFUSED TO REPLACE THIS PART UNDER THE CURRENT RECALL. WHEN CALLING CHRYSLER, I WAS TOLD THE CURRENT RECALL IS FOR 2007 AND UP RIGHT HAND DRIVE MODELS ONLY EVEN THOUGH THEY USE THE SAME PART NUMBER. I HAD A 2007 WRANGLER (LHD) YEARS AGO THAT WAS INCLUDED IN A RECALL FOR THE CLOCKSPRING. THE RECALL WORK WAS COMPLETED ON MY PREVIOUS 2007 WRANGLER FOR THE SAME PART NUMBER. I WOULD LIKE AN ANSWER AS TO WHY MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER (LHD) IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL IF THE SAME PART NUMBER IS THE PROBLEM. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE REPAIR WILL COST $520 WHICH I DO NOT BELIEVE I SHOULD PAY IF OTHER JEEP WRANGLERS ARE HAVING THIS JOB COMPLETED FOR FREE. AT ONLY AROUND 20,000 MILES WHILE TURNING RIGHT AND BRAKING I WOULD HEAR A CRUNCH SOUND. ALSO THE CLOTH TOP ON THE JEEP WAS MANUFACTURED VERY TIGHTLY AGAINST THE SIDE ROLL BARS AND ARE WEARING OUT THE CLOTH ON THE POLES WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY END UP WITH A TORN MATERIAL. I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE PLASTIC BACK WINDOW AT 17,0000 MILES BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF VISIBILITY. CURRENTLY THE JEEP HAS 28,000 MILES AND IS GARAGE KEPT. THE FENDER FLARES HAVE STARTED FADED ALREADY TOO.
HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY HEATER CORE AND RADIATOR BECOMING CLOGGED I HAVE HAD THEM BOTH FLUSHED BY THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY STILL CLOG CAUSING HAZARDOUS DRIVING IN THE WINTER TIME WITH NO DEFROSTERS OR HEAT TO SAFELY DRIVE TO WORK
MY JEEP WAS PARKED ON THE STREET IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE FOR ABOUT 13 HOURS AND A ELECTRICAL FIRE STARTED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AT AROUND 3AM. IT BURNED HALF THE VEHICLE BEFORE BEING PUT OUT AND TOTALED OUT MY JEEP. IT ALSO DAMAGED THE ENTIRE BACK END OF THE CAR PARKED IN FRONT OF ME. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RULED THIS WAS A ELECTRICAL FIRE AND NOT ARSON. DAYS BEFORE I NOTICED THE OUTSIDE TEMP WAS READING AT 119 DEGREES OUT SIDE WHEN THE TEMP WAS ACTUALLY 99 DEGREES. I'M NOT SURE IF THIS HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT BUT I FOUND IT VERY ODD. I HAVE READ THOUSANDS OF INCIDENTS SIMILAR TO THIS SOME INVOLVING WORST PROPERTY DAMAGE AND EVEN CASES WITH FATALITIES. I THINK CHRYSLER/JEEP NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS AND GET THESE DAGEROUS VEHICLES OFF THE STREETS ASAP
JEEP RANDOMLY CUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. HAS HAPPENED AT LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS, NORMALLY LOW SPEED IT WILL CUT BACK ON QUICKLY, YOU HAVE TO WAIT 5-10 MIN FOR A HIGH SPEED CUT OFF. THE VEHICLE DOES NOT THROW ANY CODES AND DEALER CANNOT FIX IF THEY CAN'T REPLICATE. THIS HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH.

SINCE THE SPRING OF 2016, MY JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON HAS BEEN STALLING AFTER IGNITION, AS I PUT THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE (IT IS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) AND OCCASIONALLY WHILE IDLING AT STOP LIGHTS. THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURED 20-25 TIMES OVER THE LAST 7 MONTHS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REFLASHED THE CONTROL MODULES, BUT THE PROBLEM PERSIST. THE VEHICLE ISN'T SAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE OF THE TENDENCY TO STALL AT STOP LIGHTS. WHAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION WAS THE FIRST TIME IT DID IT AND I HAD MY 5 YEARS OLD SON IN THE CAR. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ARE FURTHER INVESTIGATING THE PROBLEM. THEY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE (STALLING IN REVERSE, AND WHILE IDLING). THE VEHICLE STARTS RIGHT AWAY, BUT OCCASIONALLY POWER ISN'T AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY (2-3 SECONDS DELAY). JEEP WASN'T AWARE OF SIMILAR PROBLEMS WHEN I CALLED... AND THIS MORNING I LEARNED ABOUT OTHER FCA VEHICLES BEEN RECALLED BECAUSE THEY ARE STALLING IN TRAFFIC.
I HAVE 24,000 MILES AND NOTICED GRINDING COMING FROM MY PASSENGER REAR WHEEL. I WENT TO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE CALIPER IS PARTIALLY FROZE AND NEEDED A NEW ONE. IT ALSO RUINED MY BRAKE AND ROTOR ON THAT SIDE. THEY ALSO RECOMMENDED TO NOT INSTALL ONE SIDE BUT TO MAKE BOTH MATCH. DUE TO A FAULTY CALIPER I AM OUT $500. THE AUTO MECHANIC SAID HE HAS ODDLY SEEN THIS ON RELATIVELY NEW JEEP WRANGLERS TOO FREQUENT. I WENT ONLINE AND FOUND OUT FROM JEEP FORUMS THAT THIS IS HAPPENING OFTEN. I'M NOT TOO SURE ON HOW THE RECALL PROCESS WORKS... BUT I WOULDN'T MIND TRYING TO RECOVER SOME/ALL OF MY COSTS DUE TO FAULTY OEM EQUIPMENT.

NOW AFTER THREE YEARS AND MANY SENSORS BEING REPLACED ALONG WITH SENSOR WIRING IT'S NOT DRIVEABLE AND DEALERSHIP MECHANICS CAN NOT FIX IT OR FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG. THE ENGINE LIGHT ALONG WITH TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT STAYS ON, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT GOOD, IT HAS TROUBLE CRANKING, AND CUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS AND CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT!!! IN THE LAST MONTH I'VE HAD 4 SOFTWARE UPDATES DONE, REPLACED THE ABS MODULE, REPLACED CAM SHAFT SENSOR, AND WHEEL SPEED SENSORS, BUT AFTER I PICK IT UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP I DRIVE IT A FEW MILES AND LIGHTS COME BACK ON AND IT STARTS RUNNING HORRIBLE AGAIN!! I'M PAYING FOR A VEHICLE YOU CAN'T EVEN DRIVE SO SOMETHING HAS GOT TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS!!! IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING ANY ENGINE FAILURES BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A MANUFACTURER RECALL WHERE THE DEALER REPLACED THE ENGINE SENSORS AND THE TRANSMISSION. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO PROVIDED NO SOLUTION AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT SHORTLY AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER, SMOKE EMITTED INTO THE VEHICLE AND FLAMES APPEARED UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. A REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD PROVIDE AN INVESTIGATION. THE CONTACT WAS STILL WAITING ON A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE RADIATOR COOLING LINE RUBBED AGAINST THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER, AND THE RUBBING CAUSED A HOLE WHICH EVACUATED THE A/C FLUID. THE FIX WAS TO REPLACE THE CONDENSER AND DISTANCE THE RADIATOR LINE SO THAT IT WAS NO LONGER TOUCHING THE CONDENSER. THE JEEP HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, AND IT SEEMS LIKE THIS WAS A FACTORY DEFECT. THE JOB COSTS OVER $700 AT THE JEEP DEALERSHIP.
