MY JEEP HAS A 38375 MILES ON IT AND I TOOK IT THE DEALER CAUSE I KEPT SMELLING COOLANT AND I THOUGHT I HAD A LEAK IN THE PLASTIC ANTI FREEZE HOLDER THEY PUT THE TRUCK ON THE LIFT AND SAID I HAVE TWO LEAKS ON THE SEALS WHY IS THAT THE CAR SHOULDN'T HAVE A LEAK IN THE RADIATOR THIS SOON THE CAR IS NOT OLD THE CAR NOW SMOKES SO I HAVE NOW STOP DRIVING THE TRUCK THIS SHOULD ALSO BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
ON AUG 16, 2019, I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES INFORMING ME THAT MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER HAS A FCA US LLC ('FCA US') SAFETY ISSUE RELATED TO MY AIRBAGS. THESE AIRBAGS ARE DEFECTIVE AND HAVE KILLED AND INJURED HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE. THE LETTER STATES THAT IF MY CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP DEALERSHIP, LEESBURG, VA, IS UNABLE TO REMEDY THE DEFECT FOR FREE WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME, THEN I SHOULD SUBMIT A COMPLAINT TO THE NHTSA ADMINISTRATOR, 1200 NEW JERSEY AVE, SE, WDC 20590. THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT THEY ONLY PERFORM 6 REPAIRS FOR THIS RECALL PER MONTH. I AM NUMBER 116 IN A WAIT LIST. THEREFORE, I WILL HAVE A DEFECTIVE AIR BAG IN MY JEEP WRANGLER FOR OVER 19 MONTHS WITHOUT A FREE AND TIMELY REPAIR. KNOWING THAT THIS IS A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG THAT CAN RISK THE HEALTH AND LIVES OF MY FAMILY, THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I AM SUBMITTING THIS COMPLAINT FOR ACTION TO NHTSA TO ASSIST IN HAVING THIS DEALERSHIP PROVIDE MORE TIMELY REPAIRS FOR KNOWN DEFECTS THAT KILL PEOPLE.
AIR CONDITIONER QUIT COOLING, FOUND OUT NEW TYPE OF COOLANT EATS THE EVAPORATOR UP AND DESTROYS IT. MY JEEP IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE A/C HAS STOPPED WORKING. THE DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT (JIM CLICK) WAS NO HELP. THIS JEEP HAS LESS THAN 20,000 MILES ON IT.
TAMARA INFLATORS, I'VE TRIED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH CHRYSLER TO GET MY AIRBAG REPLACED. I WAS INFORMED BY A WOMAN NAMED WENDY THAT I WOULD BE WAITLISTED FOR THE AIRBAG. I WAS PREGNANT AT THE TIME, SO I FREQUENTLY CALLED AS I WAS GOING TO BE PUTTING A NEW BORN IN MY VEHICLE. WENDY THEN TOLD ME THAT THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE RECALL HAS BEEN RECALLED. I HAVE NOT BEEN FORMALLY INFORMED OF THE RECALL OF THE RECALL. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CAR WITH A NEWBORN OR IN GENERAL.
STABILITY CONTROL GOES OUT AT 70+ MPH OVER ANY DEVIATION IN THE ROAD SURFACE AND NOT JUST A MAJOR BUMP. I LOSE CONTROL OF THE JEEP COMPLETELY AND HAVE TO TAKE MY FOOT OF THE GAS AND THEN IT WILL RIGHT ITSELF. THIS IS A THREAT TO LIFE AND SAFETY AND FOR A FOUR YEAR VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. ALSO, ALL THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WENT OUT AND THE FUEL GAUGE GOES DOWN AND UP RANDOMLY, THE STABILITY CONTROL LIGHTS COME ON AND OFF WHICH TERRIFY ME AND I AM SHAKEN TO THE CORE AS I DON'T WANT TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AS I HAVE FOR THE PAST WEEKS AT 3 OR 4 TIMES A WEEK ON AVERAGE! THE SPEEDOMETER GOES DOWN TO 5 MPH THEN BACK UP TO 66MPH THEN BACK DOWN AND MY HEADLIGHT LAMPS FLICKERED ON AND OFF ALL AT THE SAME TIME. ALL FUSES ARE INTACT AND SECURE. THEN THE JEEP WOULD START AND I CHECKED THE FUSES AND MADE SURE THEY WERE SECURE AND IT STARTED AGAIN. I NEED HELP AND AM FEARFUL FOR MY LIFE USING THIS JEEP AND HAVE ONLY HAD IT A YEAR. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING TO A 4 YO VEHICLE. PLEASE ASSIST ME. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
TAKATA RECALL. HELLO MY JEEP IS AFFECTED BY THE VO1 AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS AND THE AIR BAGS IN MY JEEP CAN SERIOUSLY HARM OR KILL ME OR SOMEONE ELSE. I ATTEMPTED TO TAKE MY JEEP IN TO HAVE THE RECALL PERFORMED BUT I AM TOLD CHRYSLER HAS PLACED A PARTS FREEZE ON ALL AIR BAGS FOR MY JEEP. I ASKED WHEN THIS WILL BE RESOLVED AND HAVE BEEN TOLD SEVERAL TIMES BY LOCAL DEALERSHIPS AND CHRSYLER THAT IT WILL BE ABOUT 4 MONTHS. THEY SAID THEY HAVE NO OTHER ANSWERS. HOW CAN I NOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE FOR 4 MONTHS. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCEPTABLE. HOW CAN THERE BE A PARTS FREEZE FOR VEHICLES THAT ARE UNSAFE AND POTENTIALLY DEADLY. NOT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE TO AND FROM WORK IS ALSO A ECONOMICAL BURDEN. I NEED THIS RECALL PERFORMED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WHAT IS BEING DONE ABOUT THIS. MY JEEP STOPS RESPONDING AND SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING FOR NO REASON. WHEN IT HAPPENS AT SLOWER SPEEDS, I HAVE TO PUT IT IN PARK, TURN THE KEY TO OFF, AND THEN START IT BACK UP AGAIN. THIS HAPPENS WHILE I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. IF I AM TRAVELING AT A FASTER SPEED, THE ENGINE WILL KICK BACK ON ON ITS OWN. IT HAS BEEN HAPPING FOR ABOUT A YEAR.
PASSENGER SIDE SEATBELT WILL NOT RETRACT. REQUIRES A NEW RETRACTOR MECHANISM.
TIPM FAILURE WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY. HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES OUT OF THE BLUE THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER, THE PANEL LIGHTS FLASH, AND THE BRAKES LOCKUP. IF NOT FOR THE ANTI LOCKUP SYSTEM ON THE BREAKS I WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT. VEHICLE PANEL WARNING LIGHTS STAYED ON AFTER INCIDENT, WHEN GET IN VEHICLE THE NEXT DAY EVERYTHING WORKS NORMAL.

CRASHNO FIRENO INJURIES0 2015 JEEP WRANGLER 90000 MILES STARTED THE DEATH WOBBLE. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND THEY CLAIMED NOTHING WRONG. WE BROUGHT IT HOME AND FOUND THAT THE STEERING STABILIZER WAS HORRIBLY BUSTED. WE REPLACED THAT AND IT WORKED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, BUT APPARENTLY SOMETHING ELSE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. DEATH WOBBLE WILL HAPPEN WHEN HITTING A BUMP AROUND 45 MPH AND GET WORSE AT FASTER SPEEDS. IT WILL STOP WHEN YOU STOP VEHICLE AND START DRIVING AGAIN. THIS JEEP HAS NEVER BEEN OFF ROAD.
I RECEIVED A LETTER INFORMING ME OF THE RECALL BUT THE DEALERSHIPS IN MY AREA WILL NOT HONOR IT.
MY JEEP CAUGHT FIRE FROM THE DASH, REASONS UNKNOWN. INSURANCE IS INVESTIGATING AND FIRE DEPT PUT CAUSE AS UNKNOWN. JEEP IS A TOTAL LOSS AND MY HUSBAND BARELY MADE IT OUT OF THE VEHICLE BEFORE IT WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. HE WAS DRIVING FROM SCHOOL TO HOME AND ABOUT A MILE FROM HOME ON THE HIGHWAY ABOUT TO EXIT.*DT CONSUMER STATED AS HE WAS TRYING TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AND PULL THE E-BRAKE, HE WAS BURNT ON HIS HAND AND A LITTLE ON HIS LEGS BY THE TIME HE JUMPED OUT. ON THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT, MY HUSBAND DROVE APPROXIMATELY 5-6 MILES TO CLASS (AS HE IS IN A TECHNICAL SCHOOL RIGHT NOW) AROUND 6:30 AM. AS HE WAS COMING HOME, IT STARTED SMOKING ABOUT HALF WAY UP THE ON RAMP HEADING IN THE DIRECTION TO THE EXIT TO OUR HOME, MY HUSBAND SAID RIGHT BEFORE IT STARTED SMOKING IT ALMOST SOUND LIKE THAT BLOWER MOTOR WAS MAKING A STRANGE NOISE, AND HE WAS HEADED HOME TO LOOK AT IT, BUT THE NOISE QUIT RIGHT BEFORE IT STARTED SMOKING. HE DID HIS BEST TO GET IT OUT OF TRAFFIC, BUT AS I STATED, WITH IT BEING A SOFT TOP, IT WENT UP IN FLAMES RATHER QUICK. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED EVERY 4,000-5,000 MILES. MY HUSBAND HAS A MOTORCYCLE, SO THE TIME SPENT IN THE JEEP WAS MAINLY IN COOLER WEATHER OR WHEN IT WAS RAINING/OVERCAST. THERE WERE NOT ISSUE LEADING UP TO THE FIRE. WE HAD TAKEN IT ON SHORT TRIPS - LONGEST DISTANCE WAS LIKE 100 MILES ROUND TRIP, BUT HADN'T DONE THAT IN AWHILE. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS, STATE FARM TOTALED THE VEHICLE, WE HAVE NOT HAD POSSESSION OF THE JEEP SINCE IT WAS TOWED FROM THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BY WHOEVER THE FIRE DEPT CALLED (ALLIED TOWING). AFTER THAT INSURANCE HAD IT TOWED TO A LOCATION OF THEIR OWN. I BELIEVE MY HUSBAND ONLY HAD A SUB WOOFER IN THE JEEP, YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE BACK IN SOME OF THE PICTURES. I BELIEVE AT SOME POINT THE STEREO WAS CHANGED BUT THAT WAS BEFORE WE OWNED IT AND IT WAS IN OUR POSSESSION FOR ALMOST 1 YEAR PRIOR TO THE FIRE. I HAVE NO CONTACTED THE FCA, I WASN'T SURE WHO TO REACH OUT TO FOR THIS ISSUE.*JB
Vehicles electronic swaybar assembly shorted out in light rain causing cascading faults in abs braking system and power train system. Have video of issue occurring and paperwork from dealer documenting all of the error codes created by the short in the swaybar.
MY HORN AND STEERING WHEEL BUTTONS DO NOT WORK. I HAVE NOT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, SO I AM NOT SURE HOW THIS IS GOING TO AFFECT MY AIRBAGS.
THERE HAVE BEEN 1000S OF PEOPLE WHO DRIVE WRANGLERS COMPLAIN OF THE STEERING CLUNK WHEN DRIVING. WHEN THE JEEP WARMS UP AND THE SUSPENSION CYCLES YOU CAN FEEL A THUD IIN THE STEERING COLUMN SOMEWHERE. IT MAKES YOU FEEL VERY UNEASY AND SCARED NOT KNOWING WHEN THE STEERINT SHAFT WILL FINALLY GO. MOST PROBLEMS RESULT FROM THE LOWER AND UPPER INTERMEDIATE SHAFT BEING MADE FROM 2 SEPARATE METALS AND EXPANDING. JEEP LOCATED THESE NEAR THE MANIFOLD. THE REPLACEMENT PART IS ALWAYS ON BACKORDER SO JEEP MUST KNOW THERE'S ANPROBLEM SOMEWHERE.
THE VEHICLE'S HORN AND STEERING CONTROLS, EXCEPT CRUISE CONTROL, ALL STOPPED WORKING. I WAS TOLD THE CLOCK SPRING IS BAD AND JEEP DID HAVE A RECALL ON THE CLOCK SPRING FOR 2007-2010 MODEL YEAR JEEPS AS WELL AS SOME 2011-2016 RIGHT HAND DRIVE JEEPS. IF YOU ALSO LOOK THROUGH JEEP FORUMS, THIS STILL SEEMS TO BE A CONSISTENT PROBLEM. THE HORN IS A NECESSARY SAFETY FEATURE AND SHOULDN'T BE FAILING WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW A LITTLE OVER 3 YEARS AGO.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, ALL THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES ILLUMINATED AND THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT SOFT. THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN AND THE CONTACT SMELLED SMOKE. THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER, OPENED THE DOOR, AND THE FIRE SPREAD. THE CONTACT HAD TO QUICKLY EXIT THE VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD AND DEEMED DESTROYED BY THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000.
WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE HAD A LITTLE BIT OF SMOKE, PULLED OVER AND THERE WAS A SMALL FIRE, MULTIPLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS FAILED TO PUT OUT THE FIRE AND IT SPREAD ENGULFING THE ENTIRE JEEP AND POP UP CAMPER UNTIL THEY WERE BOTH TOTAL LOSSES
VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE AND BURNED TO A TOTAL LOSS, CLAIM WITH JEEP WAS CLOSED WITHOUT RESOLVE, REQUESTED INFORMATION FROM THE INVESTIGATION AND RECEIVED NOTHING , AFTER SEVERAL CALLS AND NOTES BEING PUT ON THE ACCOUNT NOTHING WAS RESOLVED AND MY CASE WAS CLOSED AGAINST MY WILL AND NOW THEY WONT DO ANYTHING. VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE TRAVELING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH AND UPON PULLING OVER FOUND A FIRE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER FENDER AREA, ATTEMPTED TO EXTINGUISH FIRE WITHOUT SUCCESS AND JEEP BURNED TO THE GROUND
WHEN ABS LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, AND DOWN HILL ASSIST LIGHT COMES ON AT THE SAME TIME WHILE DRIVING THE BRAKES LOCK UP. ALL THESE LIGHTS CAME ON AND THE BRAKES STARTED LOCKING UP WHILE GOING 50-60 MPH. THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND NOW I HAVE TO GET MY JEEP TOWED BECAUSE IT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO GO.
PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR
SATURDAY MORNING AT APPROXIMATELY 10:45 A.M. DRIVING 4.9 MILES TO DESTINATION I ASKED AS WE WERE APPROACHING PARKING "DO YOU SMELL SMOKE?" I HIT THE BREAKS BUT THERE WAS NO BREAKS. AND THEN A COMBUSTION OF FLAMES CAME FROM WHEEL WELLS AND HOOD OF JEEP. WE ALL JUMPED OUT AND CALLED 911 AND TRIED TO PUT FIRE OF JEEP OUT WITH EXTINGUISHERS. WITH NO SUCCESS. FIRE DEPARTMENT PUT FIRE OUT.
I WAS STOPPED IN A TURN LANE WAITING FOR THE TRAFFIC LIGHT TO CHANGE WHEN I WAS IMPACTED BY ANOTHER DRIVER AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH. THE DRIVE DROVE DIRECTLY INTO THE FRONT OF MY JEEP AS IF SHE WAS AIMING FOR IT. DESPITE MY FOOT BEING ON THE BRAKE MY JEEP WAS PUSHED IN REVERSE AT LEAST 50 FT DUE TO THE FORCEFUL IMPACT. NEITHER VEHICLES WERE DRIVABLE DUE TO THE FRONTEND DAMAGE. THANKFULLY, I WAS WEARING MY SEATBELT BECAUSE MY AIRS DIDN'T NOT DEPLOY AS EXPECTED IN A FRONTEND COLLISION.
I RECEIVED NOTICE OF A RECALL ON THE AIRBAG. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR 2/21/19 WITH HENDRICK JEEP IN HOOVER, AL FOR THE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT. WHEN I ARRIVED, THEY SAID THE REPLACEMENT PART(S) WAS ON BACKORDER, THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE HAD VISITED FOR THE SAME REPAIR, BUT THEY HAD TO TURN THEM AWAY. THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN THE PART(S) CAME IN. I CALLED ON 3/8/19 TO ASK IF THEY HAVE THE PART. THEY REPEATED THE SAME STATEMENT, THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART(S) AND WILL CALL ME WHEN IT COMES IN.
RADIATOR LEAKING COOLANT ON DRIVER SIDE TANK. I'VE SMELLED COOLANT SINCE NEW BUT NEVER SEEN A LEAK UNTIL WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. I CURRENTLY HAVE LESS THAN 30,000MI CONTACTED DEALER AND WAS TOLD SIMPLY NO WARRANTY. READING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM ONLINE SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE.

TOOK JEEP BACK TO DEALER BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE HEAT. THEY SAID RADIATOR HAD HOLE IN IT AND HEATING CORE WAS BAD. THATS CRAZY FOR A 2015 THAT I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF. IT WAS ALWAYS BAD. THE ONLY HEAT THAT WORKED WAS FULL ON RED DOT. IF I MOVED IT ONE NOTCH UP/COLDER IT WOULD TURN COLD. I NEVER HAD HEAT COMING OUT OF THE DUCT NEAR THE DRIVER WINDOW. ALWAYS COLD. I PURCHASED AT BOB & CHUCK EDDY AUSTINTOWN OHIO. IT'S NOW JIM SHORKEY DEALERSHIP. MY PROBLEM IS I DRIVE ALOT AND HAVE 160K MILES ON MY JEEP. THESE ITEMS SHOULD NOT BE GOING BAD THIS QUICKLY. THE HORN ON MY WRANGLER HAS BEEN VERY STIFF SINCE DAY ONE. YOU HAVE TO REALLY PUSH DARN HARD ON IT TO ACTIVATE THE SOUND, SO MUCH THAT IT IS A REAL SAFETY CONCERN. A COUPLE TIMES I WAS VERY CLOSE TO BEING HIT AND I SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT THE DELAY IN BEING ABLE TO BEEP QUICKLY IS A MAJOR CONCERN. I READ ON A JEEP WRANGLER FORUM THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT MANY OTHERS HAVE AS WELL. NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED DURING COLLISION. JEEP T-BONED VEHICLE THAT PULLED OUT FROM A STOP SIGN. OTHER CARS AIR BAGS COMPLETELY DEPLOYED WITH IMPACT. FRAME DAMAGE OCCURRED SINCE THE FRONT PUSHED IN HARD ENOUGH TO BEND CORNER OF DRIVER DOOR.
I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE "DEATH WOBBLE" THE FIRST TIME WHEN IT WAS ONLY A YEAR OLD WITH 10,000 MILES. IT WAS BRIEF AND I ATTRIBUTED THE ISSUE TO ROAD CONDITIONS. IT HAPPENED AGAIN AROUND 20,00 MILES. IT WAS BRIEF AND AGAIN ON THE SAME FREEWAY ATTRIBUTED TO ROAD CONDITIONS. I RECENTLY EXPERIENCED IT AGAIN AT 39,000 MILES - IT WAS SO SEVERE, AND VIOLENT, SHAKING THE ENTIRE VEHICLE- IT WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS A CRACKED DRAG LINK ASSEMBLY, NEED FRONT STABILIZER SHOCKS, AND REAR SHOCKS. ON TOP OF THAT THEY SAID THERE IS A CRACK IN THE RADIATOR, BELIEVED TO BE FROM THE VIOLENT SHAKING. IT'S NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, WITH ONLY 39,000 MILES - 3,000 MILES OVER AND THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING. I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME CUSTOMER AT PLANET JEEP IN FLAGSTAFF, AZ. THIS HAS BEEN A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AND WON'T RECOMMEND.
