Vehicle shakes violently at 65-70 mph. We had the Jeep's front end aligned and it continues to shake.
On Nov 28th 2023 while driving at approximately 70 mph on highway SR408 in Orlando the front suspension on my vehicle starting shaking violently.
I almost actually died twice on a road trip when i hit uneven pavement on major interstates and had to come to a complete stop in the middle of a major highway with semi trucks swerving all around me. This jeep has the death wobble and I can't get anyone to recreate the issue to get it fixed.
Front suspension steering damper defect
At highway speeds, when hitting a bump, the front end vibrates and becomes a unstable. The corrective action is slowing down and the speed limit, in traffic, until the vibration disappears. There's a known factory fix for this issue. The vehicle had the a new or replacement part installed during the summer. The issue appeared resolved until today (2022-11-25) when it occurred twice.
Hitting a bump when greater than 50 mph the front end would begin "death wobbling". I would have to slow down and pull over to the side to prevent losing control of vehicle. Took car to shop and had front end alignment and this did not fix problem. We then took the jeep into a specialist shop and they stated that they had not seen this on a non-modified jeep but had heard that the issue was happening. A new steering stabilizer was placed and the problem has been resolved. I was contacted regarding a lawsuit and would like reimbursement for the repairs.
