Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)The rear door of my KIA EV6 intermittently fails to open even when the vehicle is unlocked. The issue has been recorded on video and reported to an authorized KIA dealer, but it has not been repaired. A child safety seat is installed in the rear seat, and this defect creates a serious safety risk in an emergency where immediate access to the child is required. The vehicle is unsafe due to this defect.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
