ORIGINAL WHITE PEARL PAINT ON BODY OF CAR IS PEELING OFF IN BIG CHUNKS, THERE MUST BE A PROBLEM WITH THE PAINT OR PAINTING PROCESS KIA USED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN. ANOTHER VEHICLE MADE A VERY WIDE TURN AND CRASHED AT 60 MPH INTO THE DRIVER'S SIDE BETWEEN THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITH THE COLLISION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT AND HIS SON WERE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL LATTER ON. THE CONTACT HAD WHIPLASH AND HAD A HEADACHE AND HIS INFANT SON HAD A SWOLLEN FACE FROM HITTING THE SIDE OF HIS CAR SEAT WITH BRUISES. THE CONTACT'S WIFE AND DAUGHTER WERE NOT INJURED. THE CONTACT WENT TO A MILITARY HOSPITAL SINCE HE WAS ON ACTIVE DUTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED WITH DAMAGE TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR PASSENGER DOOR BEING SMASHED IN , THE TIERODE WAS SNAPPED. THE REAR TIRE ON THE PASSENGER'S WAS SMASHED FROM THE TOP INWARD AND THE TIRE ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE WAS PUSHED OUTWARD. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT YET NOTIFIED. THE WRECK WAS TOWED FROM THE CRASH SITE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
TOOK MY CAR TO THE MECHANIC FOR A SECOND OPINION REGARDING LOW BEAM LIGHTS SHUTTING OFF WHEN I TURN ON THE HIGH BEAMS. THIS OCCURRED FREQUENTLY WHEN USING HIGH BEAMS. ALSO, MY HEADLIGHTS (LOW BEAMS) CONSISTENTLY BURNT OUT. HAD TO INSTALL 2-3 NEW BULBS IN EACH HEADLIGHT (WITHIN 1 YR.). MECHANIC SAID PROBLEM IS MORE THAN JUST THE LIGHTS, THE KNOCK SENSOR WAS BAD AND NEEDED MORE WORK THAN WHAT THEY WERE WILLING TO DO AND RECOMMENDED ME GOING BACK TO KIA. DRIVING HOME FROM MY MECHANIC, I WAS ON THE SURFACE STREETS TO GET ON THE FREEWAY, A KNOCKING NOISE OCCURRED WHEN ACCELERATING, SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO THROW A ROD, WHICH LED ME TO CHECK THE OIL. MY OIL CHANGES ARE COMPLETED ON SCHEDULE AND WAS NOT DUE FOR ANOTHER OIL CHANGE FOR 3,000 MILES. THE OIL WAS BONE DRY. I PUT IN 4 QUARTS OF OIL AND DROVE ON SURFACE STREETS, BACK TO MY MECHANIC. MECHANIC SAID IT IS ABOUT TO THROW A ROD AND THAT I NEEDED TO DRIVE IT SLOWLY AND GET IT TO KIA. AS I DROVE THE CAR HOME ON THE FREEWAY, I WAS IN THE NUMBER ONE LANE, PASSING A SEMI-TRUCK IN THE NUMBER TWO LANE, CAR STARTED SHAKING, ALL THE LIGHTS STARTED BLINKING, THE ORANGE STEERING WHEEL WARNING LIGHT WENT ON AND THE ENTIRE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. I HAD TO COAST TO THE SHOULDER ON THE FREEWAY. I HAD NO HAZARDS OR BLINKERS. TOW TRUCK ARRIVED AND CHECKED MY OIL, HE SAID THERE WERE METAL SHAVINGS AND BARELY ANY OIL. TOWED THE CAR BACK TO THE MECHANIC AND THEY SAID I NEEDED A NEW ENGINE. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MY HOME AND IT NOW SITS IN MY DRIVEWAY. PRIOR AND DURING ALL OF THIS, NOT ONE TIME DID ANY WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD GO ON (OTHER THAN THE ONE STEERING WHEEL LIGHT WHEN THE CAR SHUT DOWN).
I LOGGED INTO CREDIT KARMA LOOKING AT MY CAR DETAILS AND SAW THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE TRACTION. IVE NOTICED MY TRACTION LIGHT ON IN THE CAR; HOWEVER, DID NOT THINK ANYTHING OF IT AS THE BUTTON WAS PUSHED IN AS NORMAL. THE LIGHT IS ON CONSISTENTLY.
In 2020, we started noticing the smell of engine coolant and the continuous running of the engine fan after shutting the engine off. The temperature gage never indicated any issue. We took the vehicle to the dealer to address the issue. Upon inspecting the vehicle, it was determined that there was a failure of one of the engine block bolts, which cause the coolant to seep in to the engine block. The dealer stated the engine needed to be rebuilt, because the bock was not salvageable. We then contacted Kia to question the failure and were told that the repair was not covered, because of the milage on the vehicle. In 2024 we received a recall notice, which stated they were now taking responsibility for the repairs and all we needed to do was submit documents showing the repairs were made. We did so, two months ago, however after submitting the documents Kia has not given us a reimbursement or provided updates on the status of our claim.
CLUNKING WHEN TURNING STEERING WHEEL, LARGE VIBRATION, AUTO REPAIR SHOP SAYS STEERING SECTOR SHAFT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE SMOKE WAS PRESENT COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. UPON INSPECTION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE BRAKE FLUID WAS LEAKING ONTO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER CORAL SPRINGS KIA LOCATED AT 9330 W ATLANTIC BLVD, CORAL SPRINGS, FL 33071 AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS RECENTLY INSPECTED UNDER THE NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN NUMBER 20V519000(SERVICE BRAKES) BUT THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED AFTER THE RECALL INSPECTION WAS PERFORMED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 224,000. *JS
Normal low beams are useless for driving. You must use high beams to be able to see, even in town. This has been a problem since I purchased the vehicle in 2015. Also, I have had to replace the bulbs three times, If I don’t buy the brightest/most expensive ones, I’ve wasted my money and it’s like putting a night light in front of your vehicle.
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON
BROUGHT IN FOR OIL CHANGE, TECH FOUND A COOLANT LEAK, REPLACE THERMOSTAT HOUSING UNIT FOR $700, LEFT DEALER AND NEXT DAY COOLANT WAS POURING OUT AS I DROVE. RETUNED TO SHOP AND KIA SAID THERE WAS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE WITH SOME HEADS AND AT THE PRESENT TIME THEY ARE IN THE MACHINE SHOP. STILL DON'T KNOW IF IT IS COVERED BY WARRANTY ON A CAR WITH ONLY 57000 MILES.
My vehicle had two safety recalls regarding the possibility of a sudden engine fire due to a defective Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU). Additionally, in Milwaukee, theft of Kias has increased exponentially. The number of Kia models stolen increased 25 times higher in the first six months of 2020 by a gang calling themselves the "Kia Boys." The thefts have risen because Kia models 2011 or newer do not have an immobilizer which could prevent thefts. As a senior, my safety is placed at risk because of a combustible engine fire that could start without warning. Moreover, my vehicle is at risk of being stolen at any time because it lacks an immobilizer to prevent easy access. I want KIA or CarMax to buy back and refund me for these two latent defects that I could not have been aware of upon purchasing. Even though I had the CarFax report, I could not have been aware that the HECU recalls could cause an engine fire until I read articles about the recall from car experts. Further, as a layperson and unwary consumer, I could not have been aware of the latent defect of the steering column defect that could make theft of the vehicle easier.
I am making a complaint due to the paint chipping above the windshield. The paint started to chip and now in growing larger. Every time it rains the paint chips more and more. I have noticed not only that my car pillars on the siding around the windshield peeled that I have repainted but now it is above the wind shield. There are alot of Kia Sorentos in my area that the top of their vehicle are peeling as well so this has to be a manufacturer problem. I have spoken with a few shops in the area and they stated to inform Kia that is an ongoing issue with all the kia's. I have pictures of the top of my vehicle.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STATIONARY AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL SOUND COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OIL CHANGE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DROVE TO HER RESIDENCE, CHECK THE OIL LEVEL AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS NO OIL IN THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE LOCAL DEALER KIA OF LAGRANGE LOCATED AT 1217 LAFAYETTE PKWY, LAGRANGE, GA 30241, (706) 298-5024, WHERE THE DIAGNOSIS WAS CONFIRMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 154,000.
AROUND 46,000 MILES PAINT STARTING PEELING OFF ROOF JUST ABOVE WINDSHIELD AND A FEW SPOTS ON FRONT FENDER AND ELSEWHERE. KIA WON'T COVER REPAIR SAYS IT IS PAST 3 YEARS OR 36,000 MILES. I COMPLAINED ITS BAD PAINT JOB TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN SO SOON.
VERY DIM LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS. CANNOT SEE ROAD.
PAINT IS PEELING OFF WITH NO KNOWN CAUSE, PROGRESSIVELY WORSENING WITH TIME.
2015 KIA SORENTO 2.4 HAS HAD LIGHT BULB REPLACED TWICE IN THE YEAR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, A REVVING NOISE WAS PRESENT COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT PROPERLY ACCELERATE WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. ALSO AFTER USING THE REMOTE STARTER TO START THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE WOULD NOT TURN-OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE STARTER HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE LOCAL DEALER BAYSIDE KIA LOCATED AT 3188 CRAIN HWY, WALDORF, MD 20603 AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,000.
CAR LOST ACCELERATION POWER HEARD LOUD SOUND AND CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY TRANSMISSION WAS CHANGED DUE TO A FAULTY TRANSMISSION AT DEALERSHIP COST, AND NOW TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED WHILE MERGING ONTO THE I-210 WAS ABLE TO SAFELY EXIT HIGHWAY AND PARK IT. WILL HAVE IT TOWED TO DEALERSHIP ASAP HOPING THEY WILL REPAIR DRIVETRAIN OR REPLACE VEHICLE.
OUR KIA SORRENTO HAS THE METAL SHAVINGS IN THE OIL PASSAGE WHICH HAS CAUSED THE ENTIRE ENGINE TO FAIL AT $50K MILES. THERE IS A KIA RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE; HOWEVER, KIA IS REFUSING TO COVER THE COST BECAUSE OUR VEHICLE VIN IS NOT PART OF THE SPECIFIC RECALL. THE ESTIMATED COST FOR REPAIR IS $8K, PLUS OUR OUT OF POCKET COSTS FOR RENTING A CALL. WE ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH THE CAR THAT REQUIRED AIR CONDITIONER REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT OF THE ENTIRE CENTER CONSOLE, BUT ARE NOT SURE IF THEY ARE RELATED TO THE MANUFACTURING DEFECT AT ISSUE CURRENTLY. IN ADDITION, WE RECEIVED A LETTER SAYING OUR AIRBAG INDICATOR IS FAULTY BUT A RECALL IS NOT COMING UP FOR THIS ITEM.
I have a 2015 Pearl White Kia Sorento. My paint has chipped tremendously and I have only had the truck for a year and a half. It first started with a small chip on the side of my windshield which is now huge. I started noticing more chips shortly after and they are now huge as well. There has to be a defect in this paint because EVERY snow white kia that I have seen in my city looks JUST like mine.... PEELING!
RADIO CAME ON BY ITSELF, PASSENGER DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WENT DOWN BY ITSELF, SOMETIMES MY CRUISE CONTROL WILL WORK OTHER TIMES I HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING IT TO SET. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY. ENGINE OIL WAS BLACK EVEN THOUGH I JUST HAD AN OIL CHANGE

THE HEADLIGHTS HI AND LOW ARE NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH TO PROVIDE FOR A MORE SAFE VISIBLE DRIVE.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT BULBS FREQUENTLY BLOW OUT. HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY DUST CAPS HAVE BEEN REPLACED, BUT THE ISSUE REMAINS A PROBLEM. WE HAVE HAD TO CHANGE HEADLIGHT BULBS MORE THAN A DOZEN TIMES IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS. THESE ARE THE H7 BULBS THAT FIT THE STANDARD 2015 SORENTO LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT FIXTURE.
DRIVING HOME END OF WORK DAY EVERY THING WAS NORMAL DRIVING DOWN 66 AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THEN .5 MILES LATER LOST POWER TOWER HOME HAS BEEN MAKING POPCORN LIKE SOUNDS FROM ENGINE BEING TOLD IT'S THE PISTONS
POOR VISIBILITY FROM THE HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT, PASSENGERS CONSTANTLY ASKING ID HEADLIGHTS ARE ON. IN ADDITION HAVE TO REGULARLY REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULBS EVERY SIX MONTHS.
WHEEL SPEED SENSOR, ABS SENSOR, AND TPMS SENSOR GAVE OUT AT 56K. GOT IN ONE DAY AND IT SAID I WAS DOING 140 WHILE PARKED. BEFORE I GOT TO MY DESTINATION, THE ABS, TCS, AND TPMS LIGHTS WERE ON. CAR WAS USED AND WELL TAKEN CARE OF. IF EVERYTHING WASN'T BUILT INTO THE WHEEL HUB, IT WOULD BE A RELATIVELY EASY FIX. INSTEAD I NOW HAVE TO DRIVE MY SORENTO WITH NO TCS, ABS, OR KNOW IF A TIRE IS LOW/FLAT BECAUSE A QUOTED COST OF REPAIR WAS CLOSE TO 1200 DOLLARS. NOBODY HAS 1200 TO GET IT FIXED. AFTER LOOKING AT ONLINE FORUMS, IT SEEMS TO BE COMMON WITH 2013-2015 SORENTO TO HAVE ANYTHING ABS/TCS RELATED GO SOUTH. CAR DRIVES LIKE A DREAM, ONLY WISH IT DIDN'T TAKE 2 MONTHS RENT TO FEEL SAFE.
THE PEARL WHITE PAINT IS CHIPPING OFF OF MY KIA SORENTO ON THE WINDSHIELD PILLARS, ABOVE THE WINDSHIELD AND THE HOOD AND VARIOUS OTHER LOCATIONS.... THE PAINT FINISH IS FAULTY AND WAS NOT PROPERLY APPLIED

HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM. WE HAVE SWITCHED TO NEW BULBS AND THEN LED AND NEITHER IMPROVE THE DIM HEADLIGHTS. THE GLASS IS NOT FOGGY OR DAMAGED.
MOTOR IS LOCKED UP. THERE IS 114,000 MILES ON MY VEHICLE AND I WAS TRAVELING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND MY VEHICLE JUST STOPPED PULLING. I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK. THE MOTOR WAS NOT RUNNING HOT OR ANYTHING. WHEN WE GOT IT BACK TO THE SHOP THE MOTOR HAD LOCKED DOWN. I KEEP REGULAR MAINTENANCE ON MY VEHICLE AND HAVE SINCE I BOUGHT IT NEW. ARE THERE ANY RECALLS ON THE MOTOR? THIS MOTOR SHOULD NOT HAVE LOCKED DOWN LIKE IT DID. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
MY SIGNIFICANT OTHER WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND FELT IT NEEDED OIL DUE TO HOW IT WAS SOUNDING WHILE DRIVING IT. HE CHECKED MY OIL AND MY CAR WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF OIL. NO OIL WARNING LIGHT WENT ON. HE ADDED OIL AND SHORTLY AFTER THE ENGINE BEGAN MAKING A TICKING NOISE WHEN HE EXCELERATED. HE WAS DRIVING HOME, APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES, AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING IT, LOST HORSE POWER WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE 100160+ MILES ON MY CAR, JUST HAD AN OIL CHANGE AT LOCAL KIA DEALERSHIP 3000 MILES AGO. ALWAYS KEPT UP ON MAINTENANCE OIL CHANGES.
AIRBAG SYMBOL LIGHT STAYS ON
Yes there was a recall in a module control panel which still is messed up. It’s been replaced a couple x. Also the dim lights since I bought the car have a very low light were you can hardly see at night. And this SUV drinks gas on long/short trips. I’ve taken it in several times but they keep saying nothing’s wrong and I know there is I have driven my boyfriend vehicle which is a V6 and went the same exact distance and didn’t have to get any fuel until I was about half way back. Something has to give. I love my Kia as I have owned 2. But something is really wrong. Please help. Thanks
HEADING TO A FAMILY EVENT, WE WERE ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE KIA SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN WITH NO WARNING. WE HAD TO GET OVER TWO LANES GOING 60 MPH, TRAFFIC WAS MOVING AND WE HAD TO MAKE A SUDDEN EXIT OFF THE ROAD AND WERE ALMOST REAR ENDED IN THE PROCESS. ONCE WE GOT OVER WE COASTED OFF AND PARKED IN THE NEAREST PARKING LOT. WE DISCOVERED THERE WAS LITTLE TO NO OIL ON THE DIPSTICK, THERE WAS NO OIL LIGHT WARNING, NO ENGINE LIGHT OR ANY OTHER SIGNS IT WAS LOW ON OIL. THE OIL HAS BEEN CHANGED REGULARLY. WE BROUGHT IT INTO THE SHOP AND WAS TOLD IT NEEDED A NEW ENGINE. NOW MY 2015 KIA SORENTO NEEDS AN ENGINE REPLACEMENT THAT I CANNOT AFFORD AND SINCE I PURCHASED IT USED IT IS NO LONGER UNDER THE KIA WARRANTY. I'M MAKING PAYMENTS ON A VEHICLE THAT I CAN'T DRIVE AND I SEE NO REASON THAT THE OIL SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOW, ESPECIALLY WITHOUT ANY WARNING LIGHT. AS OF TODAY THE VEHICLE STARTS WITH KNOCKING, BUT DIES FREQUENTLY WITH NO WARNING. THERE IS STILL NO ENGINE LIGHT ON.
I HAD JUST PURCHASED MY SORENTO ON JULY 18, 2020. ON AUGUST 25,2020, I PUT IT IN THE KIA SHOP FOR THE CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER(AC/HEATER BLOWER). I HADN'T MADE THE 1ST PAYMENT YET. THE WIRING HARNESS HAD MELTED. THE WARRANTY COMPANY REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS DO TO IT WAS A RECURRING PROBLEM. THAT TELLS ME THAT THIS HAS HAPPEN BEFORE I PURCHASED THE CAR. NOW, ETHER THE PARTS ARE DEFECTED OR THE SHOP DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. ONE THING IS FOR SURE, SOMETHING IS MAKING THE WIRING OVER HEAT.
THE CAR SEIZES, AND JERKS, LIKE A MISSFIRE. IT SCARES ME.
I HAVE HAD COMPLETE ENGINE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING AND ALSO PAINT CHIPPING IN SEVERAL AREAS.
THE PEARL WHITE PAINT ON MY 2015 KIA SORRENTO IS PEELING OFF. SMALL AREAS AROUND THE WINDSHIELD STARTED AT FIRST AND NOW THE SIDES OF THE WINDSHIELD ARE COMING OFF IN LARGER SECTIONS. ALL OF THESE AREAS ARE STARTING TO SHOW SIGNS OF RUST AS WELL. ADDITIONALLY, THERE ARE SEVERAL SMALL SPOTS ON THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE WHICH ARE SHOWING SIGNS OF RUST AS WELL. THIS IS PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE OVER TIME AND I AM NOT DOING ANYTHING TO THE VEHICLE (NOT EVEN WASHING IN FEAR OF MORE COMING OFF) AT THIS POINT.
Paint chipping of pearl white paint. Paint is bubbling, confirming that she isn’t just getting hit with foreign objects. Metal underneath is beginning to turn a rust color.
I HAVE CHANGED THE HEADLIGHTS IN MY 2015 KIA SORENTA OVER 6 TIMES. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND SELDOM DRIVE AT NIGHT BECAUSE I AM ELDERLY. HOW CAN I GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED. LAST NIGHT WE DROVE FROM OHIO TO VIRGINIA WITH DIM AND NO HEADLIGHTS. AGAIN. TIME AFTER TIME, NO HEAD LIGHTS. AND YES I BUY THE HIGHER PRICED HIGH QUALITY RECOMMENDED LIGHT BULBS. THIS IS UNSAT THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM
A JERKS WHEN YOU TRYING TO PARK WHEN YOU GOING SLOW ON THE PARKING LOT IT HAS A KOOL 2098 FUEL TRIM IT KEEPS IDLING HIGH AND I'M STALLING
I PURCHASED THE 2015 KIA SORENTO NEW IN THE YEAR OF 2014 FROM THE KIA DEALERSHIP LOCATED IN MERIDIAN, MS. SINCE THE PURCHASED... MY GOODNESS, I'VE HAD AIRBAG SYSTEM ISSUES, ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH MY LIGHTS, THE ELECTRONIC OUTLETS FOR DEVICE INPUT, CONTROL PANEL ON STEERING TO MAKE ACCESSING THE RADIO AND PHONE; THE BUTTONS ALWAYS JAM WITH THE SLIGHTEST TOUCH!! LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST THE MOTOR HAS A RECALL AS OF TODAY'S DATE 09/2020. PLUS THE TRANSMISSION JERKS IN GEAR AND I'M TOLD THAT THAT WAS BECAUSE OF THE OLD MOTOR DEFECTS.., BUT NOW THAT THE MOTOR HAS BEEN REPLACED AND THE TRANSMISSION IS WORSE!! THE FACT I'VE BEEN GOING TO DEALERSHIP EXPRESSING MY ISSUES AND NOTHING IS BEEN DONE OTHER THAN NOW BEING TOLD, MA'AM YOU'RE OUT OF WARRANTY! THAT I NEED TO COME OUT OF POCKET $2,200 FOR THEY'RE NEGLIGENCE. SOUNDS LIKE IT'S TIME FOR ME TO RETAIN AN ATTORNEY!!!
PEARL WHITE PAINT IS PEELING FROM THE BASE COAT. STARTED PEELING AT 90K MILES. PAINT WARRANTY ENDED AT 40K MILES. THERE IS A CURRENT LAWSUIT IN PROGRESS ON THIS ISSUE. I AM NOT A PART OF THAT YET.
I own a 2015 Kia Sorento that the peeling is rapidly peeling off ( or what the body shops call Delamination ) . My paint began peeling in a tiny spot I thought was a chip from a rock but rapidly began peeling all over .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THERE WAS A KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE PRIOR TO THE VEHICLE STALLING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE LOCAL DEALER KIA OF DAYTON LOCATED AT 8560 TROY PIKE, HUBER HEIGHTS, OH 45424 WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,100.

ENGINE VALVE IT'S DETACHED! CAR WAS RUNNING FINE SINCE PURCHASED USED BACK IN OCT 2019 WITH THIRTY ONE THOUSAND MILES. I WAS SOLD THE CAR WITH THE PRETENSE OF CAR FAX AND IT BEING IN GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY TWO PREVIOUS OWNERS. AS OF THIS PAST MONDAY THE CAR WAS MAKING A TERRIBLE SOUND FROM UNDER THE HOOD, AND I HAD IT TOWED TO MY LOCAL KIA DEALERSHIP THIS FRIDAY. Always noticed little chips on my hood then at about 65000 miles my paint just started peeling right off. So bad that I can’t wash my car or the paint will keep peeling. My auto insurance called it delamanation and said it wasn’t painted properly therefore they won’t cover it. Kia will not acknowledge to me that there is a problem, said my warranty on paint has expired. My color is pearl white and I see other white Kias all over doing the same thing. Also Hyundai’s. If you look online you will see LOTS of stories and complaints regarding this problem. Kia should be held accountable and recall this!
