Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)THIS IS WHAT I SENT TO LAND ROVER USA LAST NIGHT. HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM YET. "MY 2004 RANGE ROVER SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AT A VERY HIGH SPEED FOR A FEW SECONDS WHILE I WAS PARKING CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE CAR AND PROPERTY. ALSO NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED EVEN THOUGH THE IMPACT WAS SEVERE. I WOULD LIKE TO BE INFORMED OF ANY SUCH ISSUES AND WHAT STEPS WERE TAKEN TO CORRECT THEM. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHAT RECOURSE I HAVE. I WILL BE CONTACTING THE NHTSA TO GET THEIR INPUT." AFTER THE SHOCK WORE OFF I HAD A CLOSER EXAMINATION OF THE INCIDENT AND I AM NOW POSITIVE THAT THE ACCELERATION WAS NOT BY ME. THERE IS EVIDENCE(SKID MARKS) TO SHOW THAT BRAKE WAS APPLIED FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF THE NHTSA CAN FURTHER INVESTIGATE THIS INCIDENT. I HAVE THE CAR AT THE PLACE OF THE INCIDENT AND NOTHING HAS YET BEEN TOUCHED. THANK YOU *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
NHTSA source checks for this vehicle year
Checks are recorded separately for each dataset, not for the whole page. Dates use UTC. A missing check date does not mean no records exist.
Vehicle import recorded: Apr 28, 2026. This is the stored import date, not confirmation that every source was successfully refreshed.
