Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER ON MY CAR HAS A KNOWN DEFECT WHICH WAS COVERED UNDER LAND ROVER EXTENDED WARRANT PROGRAM Q058. ON MY SPECIFIC CAR, THE WARRANTY PERIOD EXPIRED ON MAY 11, 2015. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED A BAD CATALYTIC CONVERTER ON MY CAR IN FEB 04, 2014 AND TOLD ME ABOUT THE EXTENDED WARRANT PROGRAM COVERING THIS KNOWN ISSUE. I MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH LAND ROVER MANHATTAN DEALERSHIP BUT WASN'T SUCCESSFUL IN GETTING AN APPOINTMENT UNTIL AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. LAND ROVER IS REFUSING TO COVER THE REPAIR AND I HAVE BEEN TOSSED BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN THE LAND ROVER DEALER AND CORPORATE OFFICE. I THINK LAND ROVER WAITED UNTIL AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED SO THEY CAN AVOID PAYING FOR THE REPAIR.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
