NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2008 Lexus ES. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2008 Lexus ES 350. The contact discovered a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 153,000. However, a subsequent Carfax report revealed that the actual mileage was 245,000.
The front control arms, their bushings and ball joints are failing. My car only has 125k miles on it, but it drifts and bounces around as if there is no struts at all. It is very scary to drive, it feels like something terrible is about to happen like a wheel snapping off and causing accident. I took it to several mechanics. They say it will cost $1,700k to replace ONE control arm! $3,400k for both. The rubber bushings are completely deteriorated due to the rubber being bad. (My dashboard is also melting, and the rubber weather stripping on all of the doors/windows)
I purchased and had installed 4 - Nokian Tyres One 215/55/17 on [XXX]. I brought my car to my Lexus dealer on [XXX] for routine car maintenance. When inspected, all four tires had a circumferential crack on the interior side wall. They were deep and went virtually around the entire tire. I was told not to drive the car and replace the tires immediately. At that point, we had put 30,000 miles on the tires and there was still plenty of tread. We returned to our tire dealer, and when he contacted Nokian, they said that this had been a problem with this group of tires, and although there wasn't a recall, they were replacing the tires for free on an "as-needed" basis. Our dealer replaced the tires, although I must say I am leery of this brand. In any event, there should be a formal recall on these tires. VVTI oil line ruptured This was part of a Limited Service Campaign by Lexus and I believe my vehicle's VIN was incorrectly excluded.
I am not writing about my car. I am writing about many other cars coming toward me at night with VERY BRIGHT headlights. There ought to be a law against multiple headlights, very bright headlights, headlights that shine directly into the eyes of oncoming vehicles. What is being done about this? I would like a reply to my concern. I live on an island with one two lane road north to south. There is no way to avoid oncoming traffic. NO, I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON THIS CAR MELTING DASH -NEVER. THIS ISSUE IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET WITH OTHER TOYOTA AND LEXUS OWNERS HAVING THIS VERY SAME ISSUE. This car was built in Georgetown KY and was purchased BRAND NEW at Lexus of Louisville, KY. “I have never purchased another Lexus after this.” Thank you, original and only 1 OWNER of this Lexus ES-350
The contact owns a 2008 Lexus ES350. The contact stated that the TPMS warning light showed that the tire pressure was low. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer to be repaired. While attempting to reverse out of a parking lot, the vehicle independently accelerated forward at 60 MPH. The contact was able to maneuver the vehicle out of the parking lot to avoid a crash. The vehicle decelerated independently. The contact pulled over and turned off the vehicle. After waiting for a while, the contact drove the vehicle home at slow speeds. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 49,000. The contact deemed the vehicle unsafe to drive and decided to sell it. The vehicle was sold to Carmax instead of to the dealership because they offered more money. But the contact still suffered a significant financial loss so they are requesting a reimbursement for the remainder of the value at which they purchased the vehicle.
The contact owned a 2008 Lexus ES350. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 - 40 MPH, the air bags suddenly deployed independently. The contact stated that his view was obstructed due to the air bag deployment, and he briefly lost control the vehicle and the vehicle came to a complete stop after crashing into a light pole. The remaining air bags did deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and was deemed a total loss by the Insurance provider. A Police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact was transported by air to an area shock trauma center and treated for a broken neck, a broken right shoulder, loss of four teeth, a laceration requiring 40 stitches, and later required reconstructive surgery on both his right leg and right foot. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
car was recalled for faulty air bags.i have tried numerous times to speak with someone, always with the same result-i am transferred 2 or 3 times and then i am promised a call back.i have not received a call back as of 6/20/2022.i think the first time i called was over a year ago.i am sure i called at least 4 times and spent many hours on hold being transferred.i have other things to do than sit on hold.i would like the problem fixed.
Dash board is melting needs to be recalled
My vehicle dashboard is melting and i have tried to contact the dealer and they have told me that the recall has been expired on my vehicles and for me it is becoming a safety issue because whenever sun reflects on the dashboard and because its melting it makes a glare on my windshield and it effects on my visibility while driving the car.
DRIVING TO WORK (I'M A REGISTERED NURSE), THE CAR (ON THE HIGHWAY) JUST STARTED TO SLOW DOWN. IT WAS A BLESSING THAT I WAS COMING UP ON A REST STOP. BY THE TIME I WAS ABLE TO GET OVER TO THE EXIT LANE, THE STEERING WHEEL FROZE AND THE BRAKES STOPPED WORKING. PRESSING AS HARD AS I POSSIBLY COULD, I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE WHEN SMOKE STARTED COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THERE WAS NO WARNING AT ALL THAT THERE WAS TROUBLE WITH THE ENGINE PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING. THAT SAME WEEK, MY MECHANIC HAD 3 OTHER LEXUS WITH BLOWN ENGINES AND NO PRE-WARNING. *TR
QUALITY OF SEAT LEATHER IS POOR. I LOOKED SAME YEAR MODEL WITH ANOTHER BRAND, THAT CAR SEATS ARE LOOKS GOOD AND BETTER THAN LEXUS ES350. I LOOKED AND COMPARED WIRH ANOTHER ES350 2009 ALSO SEATS WAS CRACKED.
The dealership Northtown Lexus, in Amherst New York, repaired the door actuators on my 2008 Lexus ES350 without my authorization. They claimed the door actuators were a factory defect however, they repaired two out of the four door actuators. The dealership Northtown Lexus completed this repair without my written or verbal authorization. The two driver's side door locks continues to malfunction. The dealership refuses to repair the problem.
My 2008 Lexus ES350 has been repaired at Northtown Lexus since 10/18/2019. The dealer and manufacturer indicated the door lock actuators are defective as original equipment. The dealer replaced only two door locks and referred me to Lexus Customer Service. Since 10/18/2019, I have NOT been able to obtain any relief from Northtown Lexus or Lexus Customer Service for these defective, factory original, door locks.
WHEN DRIVING AT 60MPH, AFTER REMOVING FOOT FROM GAS PEDAL, VEHICLE WILL CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN A SPEED OF 40MPH. HAVE TO APPLY BRAKES TO SLOW CAR DOWN.
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN FRONT END COLLISION. AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. INJURY CAUSED.
The dashboard of the vehicle has deteriorated causing an extreme shiny surface all over. This can be seen at even given time of inspection. A recall was released to do this issue but when the LEXUS Newport News, VA dealership was contacted, the response was this vehicle was not included. During this time the vehicle was already in the need of the dashbpard being replaced due to the reasons stated in the recall letter. The vehicle was later taken to the same dealership whom denied the recall action, for a different service. The representative that was spoken with for the recall was present and seen the condition of the dashboad. the representative then stated that there was a recall for this issue. I reminded them of the call and the rep replied, if we would have known it was this bad, then we would have added your vehicle to the list for repair. I was told since the original recall date had expired for that repair issue that they were not going to honor the repair, even after acknowledging the damage and agreeing that it should have been included. The representative proceeded to suggest me to pay them as the dealer for a dashboard replacement. I asked to speak with another asociate which in turn advised the same information. The suggested service and charge, was declined. This dashboard has caused a mirror like glare in the windshield. It obtructs the view of objects while driving. Eye apparrel has been applied along with, seat position adjustments, and a towel placed to cover the dashboard while operating the vehicle. This is unsafe and as time goes on this issue continues to get worse. I have not had an auto insurance representative inspect the issue. I was unaware that this maybe an option.
THE DASHBOARD WAS MELTING, I CALLED THE LEXUS CORP TODAY AND FOUND OUT THAT THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED SINCE LAST YEAR BUT I JUST DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM LAST SUNDAY.
I RECENTLY JUST FOUND OUT THAT MY DASHBOARD MELT, AND STICKY. IF I'M DRIVING IN THE SUN , THE REFLECTION OF THE SUN CAUSED THE BLINDSPOT THAT I COULD NOT SEE. ALSO, THE STICKINESS IS CAUSING THE SMELL AND IT'S NOT HEALTHY.
TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON THAT ALLOWS TRUNK TO BE OPENED MELTED. NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED THE RUBBER BUTTON TO MELT AND RENDER THE RELEASE OF THE TRUNK INOPERABLE. CAR WAS NEVER SUBJECTED TO CHEMICALS OR UNDUE HEAT. SOMETHING CAUSED THE BUTTON TO MELT AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME. POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD IF NOT REPLACED? THE CAR IS KEPT YEAR ROUND IN NEW JERSEY AND IS SUBJECT TO SEASONAL CHANGES BUT NOT IN A YEAR ROUND HOT CLIMATE SUCH AS THE SOUTHERN STATES. THE SERVICE MANAGER REFUSED TO HELP WITH THE REPLACEMENT COST. THE MECHANIC THERE WHO LOOKED AT IT SAID HE SEES IT ALL THE TIME.
BATTERY FAILED TO DISCHARGE IN NUMEROUS OCCASIONS (STATIONARY-PARKED AT MY RESIDENCE-28,012 ML ON THIS 2008 ES 350), REQUIRED TRIPLE AAA CHARGE. LEXUS SERVICE CENTER STATED "I NEEDED A NEW BATTERY & ALTERNATOR." I HAD THE ALTERNATOR & BATTERY REPLACED ON 12/15/2018 (NOT CHEAP). THEN ON 02/17/2019, I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM, BATTERY NOT DISCHARGING. FYI, THIS IS MY 2ND LEXUS. 1ST LEXUS OWNED WAS A 1991 ES 250, NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH THAT CAR UNTIL IT REACHED 117,000 MILES. THIS IS TOO STRESSFUL. WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH LEXUS (TOYOTA). THEY ONCE WERE THE BEST CARS ON THE ROAD???????
DASHBOARD MELTING
THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS BEING DISABLED BY A DEFECTIVE SENSOR IN THE SEAT AND LEXUS IS INFORMING CUSTOMERS THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THE ISSUE. THEREFORE, THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS ESSENTIALLY PERMANENTLY DISABLED. THIS IS A SERIOUS CONCERN SINCE ANY PERSON TRAVELING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WILL NO LONGER HAVE A WORKING AIRBAG.
THE TOP OF THE DASH IS STICKY, ALMOST LIKE IT'S MELTING, CAUSING A SHINY GLARE TO REFLECT OFF THE BASH AND WINDSHIELD MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE, ESPECIALLY IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. IVE OWNED THE CAR SINCE 2010 AND IT'S STEADILY WORSENED OVERTIME. IT BECAME AN IMMEDIATE SAFETY CONCERN BACK IN MARCH AS THE WEATHER BECAME WARMER.
THE TRUNK WILL NOT CLOSE AFTER OPENING. I HAVE TO SLAM IT SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL IT FINALLY CLOSE.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTACT THE DEALER. I HAVE CALLED THE DEALER 5 OR 6 TIMES OVER THE PAST 2 MONTHS, AND EACH TIME THEY TELL ME NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TALK TO ME AND THEY SEND ME TO VOICE MAIL TO LEAVE A MESSAGE. I HAVE DONE THAT BUT NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED ME BACK ABOUT THIS. THE DEALER IS PLAZA LEXUS IN CREVE COUER, MISSOURI.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 LEXUS ES350. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V006000 (AIR BAGS). THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER (IRA LEXUS, 99 A ANDOVER STREET, DANVERS, MA 01923 (978) 739-8705) WAS CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES, BUT WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. TAKATA RECALL.. MY AIRBAGS HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED NOR HAVE THE MANUFACTURE ATTEMPTED TO REPLACE THEM
TAKATA RECALL ANNOUNCED ON JAN 2017 BUT IT STILL HAS NOT STARTED THE REMEDY OF RECALL. SO FRUSTRATED!!!
TAKATA RECALL: I CONTACTED THE DEALER I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM 2 TIMES IN THE PAST 4 MONTHS, MOST RECENTLY ON OCTOBER 25, 2017 AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PARTS. I BELIEVE THIS MAY BE THE CASE BECAUSE TAKATA AND ITS AFFILIATES ARE NOW IN CHAPTER 11. NO ONE THERE CAN TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THE TIMEFRAME FOR THE PARTS BEING DELIVERED TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE LEXUS OF ROCKVILLE CENTRE IN ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY. THE RECALL NOTICE WAS ISSUED IN JANUARY 2017. HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF CONSUMERS LIKE MYSELF ARE DRIVING WITH AIR BAGS THAT CAN EXPLODE AND POTENTIAL KILL THE CAR'S OCCUPANTS.
TAKATA RECALL- I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE 2008 LEXUS ES350 IN FEB.2017 AND THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WAS ON AND I WAS TOLD BY THE SELLER THAT IT WOULD GO OFF ONCE I DRIVE IT FOR A FEW MINUTES AFTER TAKING IT HOME, A FEW DAYS LATER IT WAS STILL ON. TOOK IT BACK AND WAS TOLD THE SPARE TIRE WAS A LITTLE DEFLATED AND THAT MAY HAVE BEEN THE CAUSE. TOOK IT HOME AND ABOUT 2 WEEKS LATER IT WAS BACK ON AGAIN.TOOK IT BACK AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS A TINY PIN HOLE IN THE TIRE THAT WAS MISSED AND WAS CORRECTED. TOOK IT HOME AND MAYBE A FEW WEEKS LATER IT WAS BACK ON AGAIN. I WENT BACK AND TOLD THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IT COULD POSSIBLY BE A SENSOR. THE DEALER THEN HAD MY CAR SENT TO THE LEXUS DEALER TO FIX IT AND I GOT IT BACK THE NEXT DAY AND IT STAYED OFF FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS THEN CAME BACK ON AGAIN. TOOK IT BACK AND SPOKE TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND WAS THEN TOLD IT WAS DEFINITELY THE SENSOR AND I WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT TO "NEXT LEVEL" WHICH IS A SHOP THAT MAKES REPAIRS AND THIS WAS 2 WEEKS AGO WHICH I HAVEN'T SINCE THE LIGHT HAVEN'T CAME BACK ON AS OF TODAY. ALL OF THE TIMES IT CAME ON, IT WAS PARKED, AND WHEN IT WAS TURNED ON THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WAS ON.THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CORRECTED BY THE DEALER SINCE IT WAS AN ISSUE FROM THE BEGINNING....

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE ON 6?30/2017 AT KUNI LEXUS OF PORLAND,OR (CANYON RD) I WAS MADE AWARE OF THIS RECALL FROM THE 'RECALL RESULTS PAGE OF NHTSA) HOWEVER NO WHERE DOES THE "RECALL RESULTS" DOCUMENT INDICATE THAT THE MANUFACTURER (TAKATA) HAS NOT DEVELOPED THE REMEDY TO THE RECALL (ONLY THAT IF A THE MANUFACTURER FAILS TO REMEDY I CAN FILE A COMPLAINT.) I WAS TOLD TODAY 7/10 THE FIX HAS NOT EVEN BEEN DEVELOPED YET. IS THIS TRUE? I WAS MADE TO BELIEVE IT WOULD BE SOMETHING RELATIVELY EASY TO FIX AND COULD BE SCHEDULED IN THE FUTURE. MY DEALERSHIP CANNOT TELL ME WHAT TIMEFRAME I AM LOOKING AT. THEY SAID NOW FOR THE FIRST TIME THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE A PASSENGER RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. ***IS THERE AN ETA...AND ESTIMATED TIME TO EXPECT DEVELOPMENT ON THE FIX FOR THE PASSENGER AIRBAG?*** I WAS PROMISED BY THE SALESMAN THAT I COULD HAVE THE AIRBAG FIXED WHEN I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK FOR DETAILING (I WAS ASKED TO TAKE THE CAR OFF THE LOT AND BRING IT BACK LATER FOR DETAILING.) FINDING OUT NOW MORE ABOUT POSSIBLY HAVING TO WAIT A LONG TIME OR NEVER BE ABLE TO GET THE AIRBAG REPLACED IS MAKING ME VERY NERVOUS.
TAKATA RECALL: I WAS NOTIFIED NEARLY A YEAR AGO OF THE SAFETY RECALL REQUIRED ON MY LEXUS. I HAVE CALLED 4-5 TIMES OVER THE PAST 12 MONTHS BUT HAVE YET TO BE CONTACTED BY MY DEALERSHIP REGARDING REPLACING THE AIRBAG. WHAT IS THE RECOURSE FOR HAVING THIS WORK DONE? IS THE DEALER MY ONLY RECOURSE? I HAVE LITTLE DOUBT THAT THEY ARE RESPONDING TO THOSE CUSTOMERS WHO PURCHASED THEIR VEHICLES FROM THE DEALERSHIP (A FRIEND OF MINE HAD THE RECALL WORK DONE SEVERAL MONTHS AGO). THIS IS AN EXTREME INCONVENIENCE AS I AM UNABLE TO USE THE PASSENGER SEAT OF MY VEHICLE, FOR NEARLY A YEAR. WHAT CAN I DO?
CALLED LEXUS STEVENS CREEK (408-330-3000)FOR SERVICE. ALWAYS TOOK THEM FEW WEEKS TO MAKE AN APPT. ONE APPT WAS MADE IN MAY BUT WE WERE LATE SO DIDNT MAKE IT. I MADE ANOTHER APPT IN THE MIDDLE OF MAY AND GOT SCHEDULED AN APPT 0N 6/3/17. NOW THEY TOLD US THE APPT WILL BE CANCELLED DUE TO NO PART AVAILABLE. I ASKED WHAT WILL BE THE TIME FRAME, THEY SAID AT LEAST FEW MORE WEEKS N THEY WILL CALL US, MEANS IT WILL TAKE ANOTHER FEW MORE WEEKS FOR THEM TO MAKE AN APPT FOR US. I ALSO ASKED THEM IF OTHER LEXUS DEALERS HAVE THE AVAILABLE PART, THEY SAID I HAD TO CHECK IT ON MY OWN...IT SEEMS THEY DON'T REALLY CARE FOR OUR SAFETY EVEN THOUGH IN THE RECALL LETTER, IT SAID ITS NOT SAFE FOR US TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. WHAT SHOULD WE DO? PLEASE ADVISE. THANK YOU.
TAKATA INFLATORS: I WAS INVOLVED IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT ON 05/25/2017. THE VEH I WAS IN WAS A 2008 LEXUS ES 350. THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED BUT FAILED TO INFLATE. AS A RESULT I HAVE TO UNDERGO SURGERY DUE TO SEVERE INJURIES SUSTAINED IN THE ACCIDENT. BOTH THE SIDE AND FRONT AIRBAGS APPEARED TO BE JUST SOME WHITE SHEETS THAT POPPED OUT. THE NOTIFICATION OF THE RECALL ON THE VEHICLE'S AIRBAGS WAS RECEIVED ABOUT ALMOST 2 MONTHS AFTER THE CAR ACCIDENT. BY THEN THE INCIDENT HAD ALREADY OCCURRED AND THE DAMAGE WAS DONE. VERY UNFORTUNATE SITUATION. THIS TOOK PLACE IN MIAMI, FLORIDA, ON KENDALL DRIVE. THE LEXUS WAS AT A STANDSTILL FACING NORTH IN THE MIDDLE MEDIAN AWAITING THE MAKE A LEFT TURN TO BE ABLE TO HEAD WEST AND TURN INTO THE WEST BOUND LANES. THE OPPOSITE PARTY THAT STRUCK THE LEXUS WAS HEADING EAST IN THE 2ND TO 3RD LANE HEADING EAST BOUND. THE OTHER PARTY THEN PROCEEDED TO SWERVE INTO THE MIDDLE AND FAILED TO SLOW DOWN THEN STRUCK THE LEXUS'S REAR DRIVER'S SIDE CORNER PANEL. THE LEXUS SPUN OUT AND ENDED UP FACING SOUTH WITHIN THE MIDDLE MEDIAN. BOTH VEHICLES THE LEXUS AND THE OTHER PARTY'S VEH WERE BOTH INSURED BY GEICO AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT AND GEICO DECLARED DUAL COMPARATIVE NEGLIGENCE.
TAKATA RECALL. I"M EXTREMELY CONCERNED ABOUT THE AIR BAG RECALL. AS I AM UNABLE TO UTILIZE MY VEHICLE TO IT'S FULLEST EXTENT WITHOUT FEAR OF INJURY OR EVEN DEATH TO MYSELF AND PASSENGERS.
TAKATA RECALL. STILL NOT RESOLVED. IT HAS BEEN OVER 11 MONTHS SINCE THE RECALL AND HAVE RECEIVED NO INFORMATION ON WHEN THE CAR WILL BE FIXED.

TAKADA RECALL. I GOT A MAIL THAT AN RECALL WAS ISSUED IN JANUARY 2017 FOR MY 2008 LEXUS ES350. I CALLED THE NORTHTOWN LEXUS DEALER IN BUFFALO TWO TIMES SINCE THIS APRIL AND THEY COULD NOT ABLE TO COMPLETE THE RECALL BECAUSE THE REMEDY WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MELTING DASH BOARD RECALL. LEXUS OF MOBILE IS STATING I NEVER FILED A CLAIM TO HAVE MY MELTING DASH BOARD RECALL CORRECTED. THIS IS FALSE. I WAS THERE AND HAD PHOTO'S TAKEN. I CALLED BI-MONTHLY TO FIND OUT WHEN THE NEW DASH BOARDS WOULD BE IN. NEVER WAS I TOLD THEY LOST MY PHOTO'S OR DID NOT HAVE A CLAIM ON FILE. IN ADDITION I WAS THERE A FEW MONTHS AGO TO HAVE THE AIR BAGS FIXED. AT WHICH TIME THEY SAW THE STATE OF THE DASH BOARD. THEY EVEN CREATED MORE DAMAGE TO IT BUT WAS TOLD NOT TO WORRY AS IT WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF WHEN THE NEW DASH BOARD WAS INSTALLED. THE GLARE FOR THE DASHBOARD IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND MUST BE CORRECTED AND SHOULD BE AT NO COST TO ME. SINCE THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT.
