Additionally, the contact stated that fuel tank door had failed to open intermittently while pressing the release button on the steering wheel, forcing the contact to release the fuel tank door by engaging the emergency release manual button inside the trunk. The dealer was notified of the failure, and an appointment was scheduled for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
