HORN WORKS ON AND OFF, CAR IS UNABLE TO REVERSE (PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE WAS ABLE TO GO FORWARD,TURNED THE CAR OFF WENT TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND NOW THE REVERSE GEAR DOES NOT WORK,TRANSMISSION CLUTCH GETS STUCK AND TAKES OFF UNEXPECTEDLY AT A FAST SPEED WITHOUT PRESSING THE GAS
HAS I WAS DRIVING MY CAR HOME FROM WORK. DRIVING ABOUT 35MPH I STARTED TO LOOSE POWER AND THEN THE AT, ENGINE, TCS/DSC LIGHTS ALL CAME ON. WHEN I MADE IT HOME I LET IT SIT. WHILE I LOOKED INTO THE ISSUE ON GOOGLE LATER THAT EVENING I WENT BACK TO SEE IF MY CAR WAS STILL HAVING THE ISSUE. I PLACED THE CAR IN REVERSE AND MY CAR JUMPED/ JERKED REAL HARD. AS I LET GO OF THE BREAK I NOTICED MY CAR DIDN'T SLOWLY MOVE ON ITS OWN LIKE PRIOR. I ACTUALLY HAD TO PRESS THE GAS DOWN QUITE A BIT. MY CAR REVVED UP TO 3 MAKING A LOUD NOISE. THE CAR HAD NO POWER WOULD HARDLY MOVE. AS I RESEARCHED THE PROBLEMS AND LIGHT ISSUES IT WAS KINDA A SURPRISE HOW EASY IT WAS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. SINCE THIS IS A VERY VERY COMMON ISSUE FOUND WITH THE MAZDA CARS. SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS ISSUE THAT WHEN YOU ORDER THE PART AT OVER $600.00 IN THE DIRECTIONS THAT IS SENT THEY ACTUALLY RECOMMEND RELOCATING THE TCM TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION USING ZIPTIES. WENT TO HAVE CAR CODES READ ON MY CAR INFORMED THE GUY WHAT I BELIEVED IT TO BE AND THE MOST LIKELY WILL BE U0101 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH TCM, AND I WAS CORRECT.
I BELIEVE THAT (RECALL CAMPAIGN 0917B) SAFETY RECALL APPLIES TO MY 2010 MAZDA3 GT, ALTHOUGH IT TOOK OVER 2.5 YEARS TO OCCUR (AUGUST 2017) THE COMPLETE FALLOUTS DIDN'T HAPPEN UNTIL NOW...(DECEMBER 2020) INITIALLY, FELT A POP IN MY BACK (FROM THE FRAME?) WHILE I WAS DRIVING, PULLED OVER AND THE SEATS MOVED FINE SO DIDN'T THINK ANYTHING OF. MEANWHILE, A DISTINCT RATTLING OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY BEHIND ME. TOOK THE CAR TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP (PAID THEIR SPECIAL SERVICE DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF ($165+) WITH 'MASTER TECHNICIANS' WHO KNOW ABOUT THIS SEAT RECALL, YET, FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SEAT OR EVEN LOOKED IF YOU ASK ME, YET WANTED ME TO CORRECT THE NOISE BY BY INSTALLING BOTH FRONT AND REAR NEW SUSPENSION (~$1000). TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A SUSPENSION SPECIALIST AND FOUND ONLY ONE (1) PART OF THE SUSPENSION THAT MAY HAVE REQUIRED CORRECTING BUT WAS STILL IN GOOD CONDITION. I ASKED IF THE REMAINING SUSPENSION COMPONENTS WERE SAFE AND IF THEY WOULD NEED REPLACEMENT. AND THEY SAID'NO' ONLY ONE (1), AND IT WAS BARELY DAMAGED, BUT I REPLACED IT ANYWAY. TOOK IT BACK FOR AN OIL CHANGE SINCE THEY WERE TREATING ME HONESTLY. TWO DAYS LATER, AS I WAS LEAVING MY WORK, THE SEAT FELL OFF THE RIGHT RAIL AS I WAS DRIVING. IN RETROSPECT, THE PUSH NUTS ON THE RIGHT SIDE POPPED OFF AND THE DRIVER'S SEAT BACK FRAME HAS LOST ITS INTEGRITY, SO I SAT ASKEW. UNABLE TO DRIVE SAFELY UNLESS A PIECE OF WOOD IS HOLDING THE SEAT TO THE RAIL. IS IT POSSIBLE TO STILL REPAIR MY CAR'S DRIVER'S SEAT UNDER THE AFOREMENTIONED SAFETY RECALL? I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING AND AM WITHOUT OPTIONS AT THIS TIME. PLEASE HELP!!
OUR 2010 MAZDA3 HAS A STICKY DASHBOARD THAT APPEARS TO BE MELTING. IT SMEARS AND COLLECTS DIRT AND DOG HAIR, ETC. OTHER THAN BEING UNSANITARY AND UNSIGHTLY, I WORRY THAT THERE IS A SAFETY HAZARD WITH THE GLARE. I'M ALSO CONCERNED WHETHER THERE MIGHT BE SOMETHING TOXIC COMING FROM THIS MELTED MATERIAL.
STICKY DASH ISSUE, THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2010 MAZDA3 HAS BEEN MELTING FOR AGES. IT CAUSES GLARE WHEN DRIVING OBSTRUCTING THE DRIVER'S VIEW.
I'VE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE FROM A DEALERSHIP SO IT'S BEEN HAVING THIS. I'VE ALSO SEEN THAT THERE HAS BEEN RECALLS FOR THIS ISSUE AS WELL. THE DASH BOARD ABOVE THE SPEEDOMETER IS EXTREMELY STICKY. A LARGE PORTION OF IT. AND MORE TO THE RIGHT, ABOVE THE GLOVE BOX, IT'S CRACKED. I'M ASSUMING IT HAS DO SOMETHING WITH THE SUN.
HAD MY ABS AND BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON SO I IMMEDIATELY LOOKED THESE UP IN MY MAZDA HANDBOOK. IT SAID TO HAVE THE BRAKES CHECKED RIGHT AWAY. I TOOK TO MY MECHANIC WHO HAS BEEN WORKING ON MY CAR FOR YEARS AND I TRUST HIM. HE TOLD ME IT WAS THE DSC MODULE AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE TAKEN TO THE DEALER. HE ALSO TOLD ME IT WOULD BE AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER AND WILL NOW BE CHARGED $150 FOR THEM TO TELL ME THE SAME THING MY MECHANIC DID. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THIS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE THAT MANY OTHER MAZDA OWNERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT. I THINK THIS IS UNFAIR TO US THAT NO RECALL HAS BEEN DONE OR THAT THIS REPAIR IS SO EXPENSIVE. I HAVE TAKEN VERY GOOD CAR OF MY VEHICLE AND NOW I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THIS EXPENSIVE REPAIR.
ABS COMPONENT IS RUSTED AND BROKEN LEAVING ABS NOT A FUNCTIONING SAFETY MEASURE.
I HAD MY MAZDA 3 FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR JERKED SO BAD I THOUGHT I HAD HIT THE BRAKES OR HOT SOMETHING I COULDN'T SEE. BUT I HADN'T HIT THE BRAKES NOR DID I HIT ANYTHING. I TOOK IT TO MAZDA IN PANAMA CITY AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. IT FORGETS TO SHIFT. IT'S LOCATED UNDER THE BATTERY AND I'M AWARE THAT THIS PART OF CAR ENGINE IS SUPPOSED TO BREATH TO WORK RIGHT. I JUST KNOW IT DOESN'T WORK RIGHT AND EVERY TIME I DROVE MY CAR IT'S STEADY JERKING AND SNATCHING MY WHEEL. I CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS AND I HAVE NO OTHER VEHICLE TO DRIVE. I KNOW THIS IS AN ENGINE PROBLEM SO WHAT CAN BE DONE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2010 MAZDA MAZDA3. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL WHILE ATTEMPTING TO AVOID HITTING A DOG. THE CONTACT HAD EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS BRAKING ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE INCLUDING THE BRAKE PADS, BRAKE BOOSTER, AND BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPLACE THE BRAKES PEDAL HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE SAME INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND HAD THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE SAME INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER WERE REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. CARMAX (507 SIMONS RUN, LYNCHBURG, VA 24502) (434) 239-0163) WAS CONTACTED AND AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 136,000.
THE FUEL SENDER UNIT, LOCATED IN TOP OF THE FUEL TANK, HAS DEVELOPED A CRACK AND IS CAUSING FUEL TO LEAK. THE NIPPLE THAT PROTRUDES FROM THE FUEL PUMP HAS CRACKED FROM WHAT LOOKS TO BE PRESSURE FROM THE CONNECTING FUEL HOSE. BECAUSE OF THIS PRESSURE, THE NIPPLE LEAKS AND SPRAYS A MIST OF FUEL OFF TO THE SIDE. THE PRESSURE LOOKS TO BE TOWARDS THE PASSENGER SIDE AS THE CRACK THAT DEVELOPED WAS DIRECTLY ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE(DRIVERS). THIS TYPE OF FUEL LEAK CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS AS THE FUEL TANK IS LOCATED NEAR EXHAUST COMPONENTS. UPON RESEARCHING THE ISSUE, THIS LOOKS TO BE FAIRLY COMMON IN MANY MAZDA 3 VARIANT FROM 2006 AND ON.
I AM HAVING A STARTER PROBLEM. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY AND HAVE HAD DIAGNOSTICS DONE ON ALTERNATOR AND STARTER. BOTH PASSED EXCEPT THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2010 MAZDA'S THAT ISN'T SHOWING UNDER MY VIN NUMBER. RECALL NUMBER 09V126000. I'VE TAKEN IT TO GET LOOKED AT AND HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH MAZDA. I JUST DON'T WANT TO BE REJECTED FOR THIS RECALL.
STICKY DASHBOARD PANELS CAUSING EXCESSIVE GLARE ON WINDSHIELD; MAZDA ONLY COVERED THIS UNDER A 10 YEAR WARRANTY EXTENSION THAT ALREADY EXPIRED. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS IT IS AN OBVIOUS DEFECT. THE PROBLEM APPEARED AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD EXPIRED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN A MORE HUMID CLIMATE IN LOUISIANA FOR 2 YEARS.
PARTS OF DASHBOARD MELTED AND BECAME STICKY AND CAUSES A GLARE WHILE DRIVING
NOTICED A PROBLEM WITH THE DASH FEELING STICKY THIS WEEKEND (LIKE THE DASH IS MELTING). THE STICKY AREA CREATES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD. WITH THE HIGH TEMPS, IT WILL LIKELY ONLY GET WORSE. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE WHAT COULD BE DONE. FOUND OUT THERE WAS A WARRANTY EXTENSION THAT LITERALLY EXPIRED FOR ME A WEEK AGO. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTIFICATION ABOUT THE POSSIBLE ISSUE OR WARRANTY EXTENSION. WOULD REALLY LIKE TO GET THIS COVERED SINCE I JUST BARELY MISSED THE WINDOW.
THE DASHBOARD OF MY VEHICLE HAS RECENTLY STARTED MELTING AND PRODUCING A STICKY SUBSTANCE THAT GIVES OFF A MAJOR GLARE IN MY WINDSHIELD CAUSING A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD WHEN DRIVING. I CONTACTED MAZDA TO REPLACE BUT THEY ADVISED THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED AND THEY WILL NOT REPLACE. BEING THAT IT IS A HAZARD TO THE DRIVER AND OTHER VEHICLES AROUND, I BELIEVE THAT MAZDA SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING ALL DASHBOARDS WITH THIS ISSUE AND IT BE CATEGORIZED AS A RECALL AND NOT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY.
Tha dashboard is melted causing glares on very sunny days and makes driving difficult.
AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS YOU CAN DO IT SO IT CAN BE FIX AND DRIVE RIGHT AND I YOU CAN COME AND GET IT AND I NEED A RENTAL CAR UNTIL MY IS FIX
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR BEGAN STALLING AS I DROVE ON THE FREEWAY. IT STALLS AND FEELS LIKE IT WON'T CHANGE GEARS. TOOK IT TO A SHOP AND THEY KEPT TELLING ME THE COMPUTER CODE WAS NOT GIVING THEM ANY INFORMATION AND THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT.
AT APPROXIMATELY 49,000 MILES THE LEFT FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR AND LATCH STARTED TO FAIL. THIS CAUSES THE LOCKS TO LOCK AND UNLOCK REPEATEDLY AT ALL SPEEDS. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY AND IS SOMETIMES MADE WORSE DEPENDING ON TEMPERATURE OR HOW BUMPY THE ROAD IS. I HAVE NARROWED IT DOWN TO THE CONNECTOR ON THE ACTUATOR BEING LOOSE AND NOT ALWAYS MAKING A GOOD CONNECTION. THE ISSUE CAUSES ALL DOORS TO LOCK AND UNLOCK OR JUST STAY UNLOCKED WHILE DRIVING. I ALSO HAVE TO KEEP THE DOME LIGHTS TURNED OFF BECAUSE SOMETIMES THEY WOULD STAY ON. THE COMPUTER WAS THINKING THAT THE DOOR WAS OPEN. I'M SETTING THE DATE OF IT HAPPENING AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH BUT IT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR SOME TIME NOW.
EVERYTHING NEED'S TO BE REPAIR ON IT ASAP AS YOU CAN DO IT SO THE CAR CAN BE FIX
THERE IS A RECALL APPLICABLE TO MY VEHICLE WHICH REQUIRES THAT ENGINE MOUNTS BE STABLILZED. IT MAKES MY CAR VIBRATE AND THE ENGINE SOUNDS LOUD WHILE SEATED IN THE VEHICLE. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO A COUPLE OF DEALERS AND THEY SAY THEY DON'T HAVE THE REQUIRED PART. I WAS SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR.BECAUSE IT WAS SMOKING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I LET IT SIT IN MY GARAGE SINCE 2008. I FINALLY TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC WHO TOLD ME THAT THE ENGINE HAD CAUSED A HOLE IN THE COOLANT TANK AND IT WAS LEAKING COOLANT. THAT'S WHY IT OVERHEATED. THE CAR RUNS FINE NOW, BUT NEEDS TO HAVE THE ENGINE MOUNT PUT IN. WHAT DO I DO NOW? IN ADDITION, MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WILL NOT OPERATE. I THOUGHT THIS WAS A FUSE ISSUE, BUT ANOTHER MAZDA 3 OWNER TOLD ME THEY HAVE THE SAME ISSUE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA MAZDA3. THE CONTACT STATED THE DASHBOARD MELTED, CAUSING A GLARE WHILE DRIVING IN SUN LIGHT, WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO SEE WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF FAILURE AND STATED THAT IT WAS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR WHICH THE WARRANTY WAS EXTENDED HOWEVER, THE WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE HAD EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
MY 2010 MAZDA 3 HAS THE STICKY DASHBOARD THAT MAZDA IS AWARE OF AND EXTENDED THE FACTORY WARRANTY ON. HAVING SAID THAT MY STICKY DASHBOARD JUST DEVELOPED WITHIN THE LAST TWO MONTHS. WHEN I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER SHIP ABOUT GETTING IT FIXED UNDER THE WARRANTY I WAS TOLD MY CAR WAS A FEW MONTHS OVER THE WARRANTY EXPERATION. THIS STICKY DASHBOARD IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS BECAUSE I GET A GLARE OFF OF IT ONTO MY WINDSHIELD THAT CAN MAKE IT HARD TO SEE THE ROAD PROPERLY. THIS DASHBOARD ISSUE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL AND NOT A WARRANTY EXTENSION BEFORE PEOPLE START TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT
MY DASHBOARD ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL IS VERY HARD TO CLEAN AND HAS A CONSTANT VERY BAD GLARE THAT WONT GO AWAY, AND MAKES IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD AT TIMES. IT'S ALMOST AS IF ITS MELTING. IT HAS BEEN LIKE THIS SINCE I BOUGHT IT AROUND 2 YEARS AGO. MY DRIVER SEAT STARTED SHIFT WHEN I TURN CORNERS, LAST WEEK 6/24/2020 AND I'M SCARED FOR MINE AND MY BABIES SAFETY AS I AM A NEW MOM, ALSO THE WELLBEING OF OTHERS ON THE ROAD. I DONT DRIVE IT MUCH UNLESS NEEDED, AND HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO WORK FROM HOME.
I JUST BOUGHT MY DTR A 2010 THAT HAS THE SAME SPONGY BRAKE PROBLEM I'VE READ A LOT ABOUT ONLINE. THE PEDAL GIVES VERY LITTLE RESISTANCE (AND THERE IS VIRTUALLY NO BRAKING) FOR THE FIRST 1-2" OF TRAVEL, THEN IT WORKS AND BRAKES NORMALLY. I TRIED TRYING TO ACTIVATE THE ABS MANY TIMES AS SOME MENTIONED HAD "FIXED" THE PROBLEM FOR THEM BUT THAT MADE NO DIFFERENCE. NOT ONLY DID IT NOT FIX IT, BUT IT MADE ME REALIZE THAT THE ABS DOESN'T WORK SINCE AT LEAST 1 TIRE LOCKED UP AND WAS SKIDDING. SO SPONGY BRAKES, NO ABS, AND NO ABS WARNING LIGHT. I SEE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS (SOME SAY A NEW ABS AND BRAKE BOOSTER FOR $2K TOOK CARE OF IT, BUT OTHERS SAID IT DIDN'T), AND SOMEONE SAYS THERE'S EVEN A TSB FOR IT. SO OBVIOUSLY IT'S A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM, BUT MAZDA APPARENTLY WON'T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT GETTING $$.
MY CAR'S DASHBOARD IS MELTING CREATING AN AWFUL SMELLY CHEMICAL FUME OF WHATEVER IS DETERIORATING. TOUCHING IT RESULTS IN GETTING MOLTEN DASHBOARD ON MY FINGERS AND THERE IS AN AWFUL GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD WHEN DRIVING IMPAIRING VISIBILITY. IT'S BEEN HOT THIS SUMMER AND WHATEVER THE DASHBOARD IS MADE OF WAS NOT BUILT TO HANDLE HEAT.
SOFT BRAKE PEDAL. ABS BRAKES NOT FUNCTIONING. STABILITY CONTROL DISABLED. BRAKING PROPORTIONING NOT FUNCTIONING. ALL RELATED TO ABS MODULE ISSUE THAT MAZDA IS AWARE OF BUT WON?T RECALL. SEVERELY AFFECTS THE SAFE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE AS THE STOPPING POWER AND STABILITY ARE DECREASED WHEN ABS UNIT FAULT OCCURS. PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE AND IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY, EVEN ON LOW-MILEAGE CARS. SERVICE BULLETIN HAS EXISTED FOR YEARS AND NEEDS TO BE ELEVATED TO RECALL. *TR
THE SEAT IS NOT SECURE TO THE FRAME OR SOMETHING, ROCKS LIKE A ROCKING CHAIR.
MY DRIVER SEAT HAS SUBSTANTIAL UNWANTED MOVEMENT. I WAS GETTING OUT OF THE VEHICLE WHEN I HEARD A LOUD CRACK. THE SEAT NOW MOVES 2" BACK AND FORTH WHILE ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING. THIS IS IMPAIRING MY ABILITY TO PROPERLY USE THE CLUTCH PEDAL AND MAINTAINING SPEED WITH THE GAS PEDAL.
DASHBOARD MATERIAL BEGAN TO MELT CAUSING SHINY REFLECTION IN WINDOW. UNSAFE AND NOT ABLE TO 'CLEAN ' I HAD TO INSTALL A DASHBOARD COVER TO STOP THE REFLECTION ISSUE. I HAVE SEEN OTHER OWNERS OF SAME CAR REPORT SAME ISSUE SO IT MUST BE A DESIGN FLAW BY MANUFACTURERS AND I CANNOT BELIEVE THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL YET. I HAVE NOT HAD AN ACCIDENT BUT IT COULD HAVE OCCURRED HAD I NOT RECOGNIZED THE ISSUE AND PROACTIVELY PREVENTED IT. *TR

MELTING DASHBOARD PROJECTS A SHINY REFLECTION IN THE WINDSHIELD ON SUNNY DAYS AND BLINDS THE DRIVER LOOKING STRAIGHT AHEAD.
I AM CURRENTLY THE OWNER OF A 2010 MAZDA 3. MY VEHICLE WHICH WAS PURCHASED BY ME 7 MONTHS AGO HAS A MELTING DASHBOARD. I HAVE GONE TO A MAZDA DEALER REGARDING A RECALL FOR THE DASHBOARD AND WAS DECLINED, THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THIS POSES A SAFETY HAZARD TO MYSELF AND MY FAMILY AS I EXPERIENCE A GLARE BOUNCING OFF THE DASHBOARD WHILE DRIVING AND ONLY GETS WORSE UNDER THE FLORIDA SUN.UPON FURTHER INQUIRIES ON THE INTERNET THERE IS INFORMATION ABOUT THIS RECALL HOWEVER MAZDA DEALERS ARE NOT ABIDING BY THE RECALL AND REFUSE TO SERVICE MY VEHICLE.
THE AIRBAG SAFETY LIGHT CAME ON AND WILL NOT TURN OFF. THE DEALER SAID IT WOULD COST 600.00 TO GET IT FIXED. IT ONLY CAME ON AFTER THE DEALER REPLACED PART OF THE SEAT ARM ON ANOTHER RECALL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA MAZDA3. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V082000 (SEATS) HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. A DEALER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
DASHBOARD MELTED
THE CAR A RECALL FOR DASHBOARD IT'S MELTED THEIR GLARE WHEN THE SUN HIT YOU CANT SEE. TOOK IT TO THE MAZDA DEALER THEY WOULDN'T FIX IT. I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUTER MY POCKET. WHEN DRIVING.
ENGINE STALLS DUE TO VIBRATION WHILE DRIVING. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM, BUT MAZDA ISNT HONORING WITHOUT ME PAYING FOR REPAIS FIRST. AS I WAS TURNING IN FRONT OF AN 18 WHEELER DASH LIGHTS CAME ON AND I TEMPORARILY LOST POWER. SHUT OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN
THE BRACE THAT CONNECTS THE BOTTOM OF THE SET TO THE MECHANISM THAT PIVOTS AS THE HEIGHT OF THE SEAT IS ADJUSTED HAD A WELD THAT FAILED / CRACKED. THIS SEEMS VERY SIMILAR TO THE 17V082000 NHTSA CAMPAIGN THAT EFFECTED THE SAME MODEL YEAR CAR, EXCEPT THIS IS A POWER SEAT INSTEAD OF A MANUAL SEAT. THE PART THAT FAILED IS IN THE SAME LOCATION OF THE SEAT FRAME AND APPEARS TO SERVE THE SAME PURPOSE THAT WAS RECALLED UNDER 17V082000. THE RESULT IS THE SAME, THE SEAT IS BECOMING DETACHED FROM THE FRAME AND INCLINES MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN A SAFE DRIVING POSITION.
AIRBAGS DEPLOYED ON MY WAY HOME. THERE WAS NO CRASH. I PULLED OVER LOOKED AT MY VEHICLE THERE WAS ZERO DAMAGE. DROVE VEHICLE HOME CONTACTED MAZDA THEY TOLD ME TO FILE A INSURANCE CLAIM EVEN THOUGH I SENT THEM A VIDEO OF THE VEHICLE. DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAGS AND DRIVERS SEAT AIRBAGS DEPLOYED RANDOMLY.
I START THE CAR AND REMAIN PARKED. THE AIRBAG LIGHT FLASHES ONCE, PAUSES, AND THEN FLASHES SIX TIMES. THE AIRBAG LIGHT IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CONTINUES TO FLASH ONCE FOLLOWED BY SIX MORE FLASHES. THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES EVERY TIME THE CAR IS DRIVEN. MANY OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. NO AIRBAG HAS BEEN DEPLOYED AND CAR HAS NOT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT.

MELTING DASHBOARD BLINES ME WHEN I'M DRIVING MY MAZDA 3 AT ALL TIMES WOULD LOVE TO FIX IT WHEN EVER POSSIBLE
my dashboard is melting creating an extreme glare impacting my visibility.
THE DASHBOARD APPEARS MELTED AND STICKY AND IS EFFECTING VISIBILITY MAKING IT VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE
WE PURCHASED A 2010 MAZDA3 IN 2017. RIGHT AFTER PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE STARTED HAVING POWER STEERING ISSUES. THE CAR WOULD LOOSE POWER STEERING INTERMINETLY SO THE REPAIR SHOPS WERE NOT ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. MY DAUGHTER HAD MOVED TO WASHINTON STATE AND AFTER LIVING THERE A COUPLE OF MONTHS THE POWER STEERING PUMP FAILED. WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THEY CONFIRMED IT WAS THE POWER STEERING PUMP. THIS REPAIR WAS VERY EXPENSIVE WITH THE PUMP ALONE BEING AROUND $1000 TOTALING $1500 AFTER BEING INSTALLED. NOW WE ARE A YEAR AND A HALF LATER AND GUESS WHAT LIGHT HAS CAME ON AGAIN....THE POWER STEERING LIGHT. I HAVE CONTACTED THE REPAIR SHOP AND MAZDA WHICH HAVE BOTH TOLD ME THE WARRANTY IS 12 MONTHS/12,000 MILES. REALLY? FOR A $1000 PUMP AND RISKING MY LIFE? NOT ONLY ONCE BUT TWICE? ONCE THIS VEHICLES POWER STEERING IS DISABLED IT IS VERY HARD TO STEER. I REFUSE TO DRIVE THE CAR SO IT SITS IN MY DRIVEWAY UNTIL SOMEONE CAN MAKE MAZDA REIMBURSE AND PAY FOR THEIR JUNK.
THE TCM WENT OUT AND ALMOST CAUSED A WRECK. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET. WHEN THIS HAPPENED THE CAR JERKED VIOLENTLY TO THE RIGHT AND ALMOST CAUSED MY GRANDDAUGHTER TO WRECK'. DID THIS NOT HAVE A RECALL?
