IN ONE MONTH I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE 2 TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT WHY THESE ARE GOING OUT THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE HAVE BEEN A LOT OF ISSUES WITH THE ONES ON MY CAR, WHICH IS WHY MAZDA HAS SINCE CHANGED TO A DIFFERENT SENSOR. THE FIRST ONE WAS A SLOW LEAK AND I WOULD HAVE TO FILL IT EVERY FEW DAYS,WHICH ALTHOUGH A HUGE PAIN, MADE IT TO WHERE I COULD WAIT TO BRING IT IN WHEN I HAD TIME TO BE CAR LESS FOR A FEW HOURS. THE MOST RECENT ONE HAPPENED TWO DAYS AGO.I GOT HOME FROM ONE JOB AT11 PM. THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON MY DRIVE HOME AND I WAS THINKING I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS AGAIN WITH THE FIRST ONE. I WOKE UP AT 7AM TO GO TO MY OTHER JOB AND AS I WAS DRIVING THERE MY CAR WAS VERY JERKY SO I PULLED OVER AT THE GAS STATION RIGHT BY MY HOUSE TO CHECK ON MY TIRE AND IT WAS COMPLETELY FLAT .I WENT FROM CLOSE TO FULL PRESSURE TO 0 IN 8HOURS.THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE! IF I HAD BEEN OUT FARTHER IN THE COUNTRY OR ON A LONG CAR RIDE OR IF I HADN'T NOTICED IT WAS NOT STEERING CORRECTLY, THIS COULD HAVE EASILY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. IF I WAS PRETTY MUCH TOLD THAT THE PART WAS FAULTY AT THE DEALERSHIP AND IT WAS KNOWN TO LEAK THEN THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT OR WORSE. *TR
MAZDA 6I 2008 HAS TWO TIRE SENSORS FAIL, WHICH APPEAR TO BE DEFECTIVE IN NATURE DUE TO HOW LOW THE MILEAGE IS. THE TIRE SENSOR FOR RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER TIRE AND A TIRE SENSOR FOR REAR RIGHT PASSENGER TIRE HAVE FAILED AND THERE IS NOT EVEN 36,000 MILES ON THE CAR. WAS TOLD THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT THIS IS A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT THAT COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT IF THE SENSOR FAILS WHILE DRIVING. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ON LINE REGARDING THE MAZDA 6, THE TIRE SENSORS SHOULD BE RECALLED AND REPLACED BY MAZDA. *JS
