TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE BEEN WAITING ALMOST 2 YEARS FOR THE LOCAL DEALER TO OBTAIN THE PARTS TO PERFORM THE RECALL WORK. RECENTLY, THE DEALER CALLED TO SAY THAT THE PARTS FINALLY BECAME AVAILABLE, BUT THEN CALLED BACK TO SAY THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS BECAUSE THEY WERE ALREADY GONE.
TAKATA RECALL. THE DEALER IN MY AREA HAS NOT CONTACTED ME FOR A REPAIR.
TAKATA RECALL - IT WAS REPORTED ON FEBRUARY 11, 2016. TODAY IS NOVEMBER 7, 2017 AND THEY DON'T HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR MY MERCEDES. ALMOST 2 YEARS. NOTHING HAPPENED YET, BUT IT'S SOMEWHAT SCARY KNOWING THAT IT IS DANGEROUS FOR ME TO DRIVE WITH BAD AIRBAG.
TAKATA RECALL - NO FIX BUT KEEP SENDING NOTICES THAT IT WILL CAUSE FATAL INJURIES. MERCEDES KNEW THESE WERE DEFECTIVE AND USED THEM ANYWAY, ALONG WITH A LOT OF OTHER MANUFACTURERS. THEY SHOULD BE BUYING THESE VEHICLES BACK IF THERE IN NOT AN OPTION TO REPAIR A "SAFE" CAR THAT CAN BE FATAL IF YOUR "SAFETY" AIRBAGS DEPLOY.
TAKATA RECALL: HAVE CALLED MERCEDES DEALERSHIP 3X IN MY ATTEMPTS TO INSTALL REPLACEMENT OF DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG, ONCE AGAIN, I WAS TOLD MERCEDES STILL DOES NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT AND EVERYTHING IS UP IN THE AIR. SEEMS LIKE THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS ISN"T A PRIORITY.
TAKATA RECALL - NHSTA RECALL NUMBER 16V081 AND 17V017 AND NHSTA RECALL NUMBER 15V711 REGARDING THE SRS CONTROL MODEL. I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL NOTICES OF THESE 3 VERY DANGEROUS AND URGENT RECALLS. MY VEHICLE IS SUBJECT TO THESE RECALLS AND NO REMEDY HAS BEEN PROVIDED FOR ALL. I HAVE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND MERCEDES BENZ DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THESE RECALLS FIXED, BUT I AM TOLD THEY HAVE NO PARTS TO FIX THE RECALL, NO REMEDY HAS BEEN PROVIDED AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO ADDRESS THE RECALLS - MEANWHILE, I AM AT RISK EVERY TIME I GET BEHIND THE WHEEL AND CONTINUE TO RECEIVE NOTICES ABOUT HOW DANGEROUS THIS RECALL CAN BE, LIFE THREATENING. NOW TAKATA IS FILING BANKRUPTCY AND IT HAS BEEN YEARS SINCE THE RECALLS WERE ISSUED - WHY IS THERE NO REMEDY AVAILABLE TO FIX THIS? NO DEALERSHIP WILL ADDRESS THE ISSUES, IT IN JUST AN ON GOING, NEVER ENDING GAME. I WANT TO KNOW HOW I CAN FIX MY DEFECTIVE CAR BEFORE MY WIFE, CHILDREN, OR MYSELF ARE INJURED OR KILLED DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THIS SPECIFIC RECALL.
THIS AIRBAG RECALL HAS BEEN IN EFFECT FOR OVER TWO YEARS AND LOCAL DEALERSHIPS STILL DO NOT HAVE A REPLACEMENT PART. I FEEL UNSAFE AND FRUSTRATED.

TAKATA RECALL, SINCE AUGUST 2016 WE HAVE BEEN WAITING TO GET THE AIRBAGS CORRECTED OR REPLACED WITH NO ASSIATANCE. THIS VEHICLE IS DRIVEN ON A DAILY BASIS, AND OUR SAFETY IS AT RISK.

CAR WAS OFF AND PARKED IN THE GIANT (LIMERICK, PA) PARKING LOT. I PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, TURNED IT, AND NOTHING HAPPENED. DASH READ "REMOVE KEY." I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER. STEERING LOCK MECHANISM WENT BAD. FUSE 22 BLEW EVERY TIME WE PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. HAD TO REPLACE PART.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
THE ELECTRONIC STEERING LOCK IN MY 2009 MERCEDES BENZ C300 IS NOT UNLOCKING WHEN I PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. THE CAR WILL NOT START. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE PAST 2 MONTHS. AFTER THE FIRST TWO INCIDENTS, THE WHEEL DID EVENTUALLY UNLOCK. I TOOK IT TO MY REPAIRMAN WHO ADVISED I GET A NEW KEY FROM MB AS THAT MIGHT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. GOT A NEW KEY LAST WEEK FOR $330. TODAY - 10 DAYS LATER - THE STEERING WHEEL AGAIN WILL NOT UNLOCK. LOOKING ON THE INTERNET, THIS IS A VERY COMMON AND WELL-DOCUMENTED PROBLEM WITH MB VEHICLES OVER MANY YEARS. MB SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS AND FIX THE PROBLEM, AND AT NO CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER! AT PRESENT, THEY ARE GOUGING CUSTOMERS ANYWHERE FROM $1200-2200 TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT EVERY MECHANIC AND COLLISION PERSON IN MY NEIGHBOTHOOD KNOWS TO EXIST. THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO DON'T SEEM TO KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEM ARE THE PEOPLE AT THE MB DEALERSHIPS, WHO OBVIOUSLY WANT THE REPAIR BUSINESS. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS WHEEL LOCK PROBLEM HAS OCCURED WHILE PEOPLE ARE DRIVING. MY CAR WAS STATIONARY EVERY TIME THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED, PARKED IN A GARAGE WITH NO INCLINE AT ALL. I URGE YOU TO ORDER MERCEDES BENZ TO RECALL THIS PART AND TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM ASAP.

THEN VEHICLE STARTED TO DRIVE VERY ROUGH AND BUMPY, THEN I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND IT TOTALLY LOCKED THANK GOD IWAS ABLE TO TRY AND ROLL IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE CAR JUST TOTALLY WENT BLACK AND DIED, NO HEADLIGHTS AND I HAVE TO HAVE IT TOWED, WAITING TO GET THE DIAGNOSIS FROM THE DEALER. BUT I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON LINE AND HAVE SEEN HUNDREDS OF THE SAME COMPLAINTS FROM ALL OVER THE USA AND EVEN OVERSEES THAT IT HAS TO DO WITH THE EIS. THIS SADDENS ME TO SEE ALL THE SAME COMPLAINTS AND I THOUGHT THAT WE WERE PROTECTED AS CONSUMERS BY THE GOVERNMENT, AND THE NHTSA AGAINST MAJOR AUTO MANUFACTURER SUCH AS MBUSA TO CALL OUT THESE DEADLY DEFECTS BEFORE IT CONSUMED INNOCENCE PEOPLES LIVES. BUT IT IS OBVIOUS THAT OUR LIVES MEANS NOTHING TO THESE PEOPLE, BECAUSE WITH ALL THESE IDENTICAL COMPLAINTS THIS IS A DEFECT THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESS AND MBUSA SHOULD HAVE THE DECENCY TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND ADMIT THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT AND DO A RECALL. DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THE CAR IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE STEERING COLUMN LOCK WHICH SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE AS MANY OTHERS IN THE MBUSA FORUM ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITHOUT ANY ASSISTANCE FROM MB. AS I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK ON AUGUST 25,2017 I STOPPED AT WALGREEN'S TO MAKE A PURCHASE. WHEN I GOT BACK TO THE VEHICLE AND ATTEMPTED TO START THE CAR IT WOULD NOT START. I THEN TRIED JUMPING THE VEHICLE FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH NO LUCK. THE CAR WAS THEN TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO INITIALLY STATED THAT THE CAR WAS NOT RECOGNIZING THE KEY FOB. THEY THEN IN TURN STATED THAT NO THE CAR'S STEERING COLUMN LOCK IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I THEN RESEARCHED THE WEB AND NOTICED THAT THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE IN WHICH THERE HAS BEEN MANY NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS. MY CAR IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT THEY WILL NOT COVER THIS ITEM AS THEY ARE ONLY COVERING THE POWERTRAIN.

THERE IS SO MANY COMPLAINTS WITH THESE MESSAGES THAT THIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A RECALL AND THE CUSTOMERS ARE BEING STUCK WITH THE REPAIRS. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT IT IS A DEFECT WITH THESE VEHICLES IT IS JUST TOO MANY. AND NO ONW SEEMS TO BE STANDING BEHIND THE CONSUMERS.MBUSA IS A MAJOR COMPANY AND THEY ARE GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER. DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE MAJOR FATALITY BEFORE THEY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. DOES SAVING MONEY MEANS MORE THAN PEOPLES LIVES IT IS JUST TOO MANY COMPLAINTS ON THE SAME PROBLEMS THAT COMMON SENSE CANT TELL THEM IT IS A DEFECT AND THE NHTS SHOULD STEP UP FOR US AND DEMAND A RECALL. WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG TWO YEARS AGO FOR THIS CAR. WE HAVE CALLED THE MERCEDES HOT LINE 4 TIMES, LEFT A MESSAGE AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE. WE HAVE SPOKEN WITH ARE DEALER 8 TIMES WITH AN ANSWER OF: "IT IS FINE NO ONE HAS BEEN INJURED SO FAR". WE LINE IN MISSOURI WITH HIGH HUMIDITY, HEAT AND THE CAR IS OLD. IN MARCH WE RECEIVED A RECALL FOR THIS CAR FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE. NO INFORMATION, NO IDEA OF WHEN THE BAGS WILL BE REPLACED. HELP. WE WANT NEW AIRBAGS AND MERCEDES IS DOING NOTHING.
"TAKATA RECALL" I WAS INFORMED A NUMBER OF MONTHS AGO THAT MY AIRBAGS ARE DEFECTIVE. HOWEVER, THE DEALERSHIP ( MERCEDES OF WALNUT CREEK, WALNUT CREEK, CA.) HAS NOT MADE THE NECESSARY REPAIR.
HEADLIGHT WIRES ARE CORRODED AND MELTED. THIS SEEMS SIMILAR TO THE TAIL LIGHT RECALL A FEW YEARS AGO THAT CAUSED A FIRE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MERCEDES-BENZ C300. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, THE IGNITION FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER (MERCEDES-BENZ OF LONG BEACH, 2300 EAST SPRING STREET, SIGNAL HILL, CA 90755) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING LOCK AND COLUMN FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.
TAKATA RECALL - IT HAS BEEN 2.5 YEARS AND LESS THAN 40% OF THE RECALLED AIRBAGS HAVE BEEN REPAIRED. ONLY IN THE GOVERNMENT IS THAT AN ACCEPTABLE STATISTIC. EVEN WORSE IS EVERY MANUFACTURER DOES NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY TO OR FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN MY AIRBAG WILL BE REPAIRED. TRY THAT IN ANOTHER INDUSTRY AND SEE HOW IT FLIES. UNBELIEVABLE THAT THIS IS SUCH A CLUSTER AND NO ONE, BUT NO ONE CARES. WHO TAKES THE LIABILITY WHEN SOMEONE ELSE IS KILLED? MERCEDES BENZ HAS NEVER EVER CONTACTED ME REGARDING THIS RECALL. I BOUGHT THE CAR USED AND THE DEALER NEVER MENTIONED THE RECALL. THIS IS OUT OF CONTROL, MEANING NO ONE ALIVE HAS ANY IDEA OR CONTROL OF WHAT IS HAPPENING. THE PROTECTION OF THE PEOPLE IS CERTAINLY NOT THE FIRST PRIORITY HERE.

TAKATA RECALL. I NEED TO IMPORT MY VEHICULE TO CANADA ASAP AND THEY WON'T LET ME DO IT WITH A PENDING RECALL ON IT. I'VE BEEN WAITING 16 MONTHS. WHEN WILL THERE BE A REMEDY/FIX?
PARKED CAR, WENT INTO STORE, CAME BACK OUT, STARTED CAR, EBR, ABS AND ESP INOPERATIVE MESSAGE CAME ON ALONG WITH POWER STEERING MALFUNCTION
TAKATA RECALLS, THE VEHICLE STEERING LOCK MODULE GAVE OUT AND THE DEALERSHIP HAS STOP SELLING THE PARTS FOR THIS DUE TO THIS CURRENT UNRESOLVED RECALL HAVING CUSTOMER GO TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE WHICH IS UNFAIR DUE TO EXTRA COST SO MY VEHICLE IS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN AT ALL.
CAR WILL NOT START AND STEERING COLUMN IS LOCKED. POWER TO THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS BUT NO TURNOVER. LOCAL SHOP COULD NOT REPAIR. TOWED TO MERCEDES DEALER. LIKELY LOOKING AT A ~$2,000 REPAIR FOR EIS RELATED PROBLEM. CAR ONLY HAS ~90K. PURCHASES AS CPO AND BOUGHT EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT HAS ALREADY RUN OUT.

SOCKETS FOR THE PARKING LIGHTS ABOVE THE HEADLIGHTS MELTED. KNOWING THAT SOMETHING SIMILAR WAS ADDRESSED WITH THE TAIL LIGHTS, SEEMS TO BE RELATED. THE TAIL LIGHTS MELTED THE CARRIER AND THE CABLES NOW THE SAME IS HAPPENING ON THE FRONT OF THE CAR. I AM NOT THE ONLY OWNER OF MB C300 EXPERIENCING A ISSUE. WE ARE CONCERNED THAT OUR CARS CAN CATCH UP ON FIRE.
THIS 2009 C300 WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM THE MERCEDES BENZ DEALERSHIP IN JACKSONVILLE FL AS A RETIREMENT GIFT FOR 20 YEARS OF NAVAL SERVICE. ABOUT A YEAR LATER I NOTICED THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS CONTINUOUSLY BLINKING DURING THE DAY. THE NEXT PROBLEM IS WITH THE FRONT HEADLIGHT UNITS EACH TIME A BLUBS BLOWS, IT FUSES EVERYTHING INCLUDING WIRES TOGETHER REQUIRING THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT UNIT. THIS HAS HAPPEN THREE TIMES WITH BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT HEADLIGHT UNITS. THE DIFFERENCE IN PRICE IS $28.00 FOR A REPLACEMENT BLUB VISE $600.00 PLUS DOLLARS FOR THE ENTIRE UNIT. THE DEALERSHIP HAS NO PROBLEM CHARGING ME THE COST TO REPLACE A MANUFACTURES DEFECT AND SAFETY ISSUE. THERE SHOULD BE AN IMMEDIATE RECALL OF THIS UNIT.
AFTER PARKING CAR AT WORK WHEN I WENT TO STAR VEHICLE IT WILL NIT START OR TURN OVER.THE CAR IS UNDER 80K MILES THIS IS UNACCEPTABLY DISTURBING FOR THISNPROBLEM TO OCCUR WHEN I ONLY DRIVE TO WORK AND HOME DMH THERE SHOULD BE A DISCOUNT FOR THUS ISSUE.
I WENT TO WORK AND MY VEHICLE WAS JUST FINE. I LEFT FOR LUNCH BREAK STOPPED AT THE GROCCERY STORE AND WENT HOME WHICH IS JUST A FEW MILES AWAY. I PARKED MY VEHICLE WENT INSIDE TO DROP MY GROCERIES OFF AND EAT LUNCH AND WHEN IT WAS TIME TO RETURN TO WORK MY CAR WOULD NOT START! I WAS SO PISSED OFF! THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN AND THE GEARS WOULD NOT SHIFT AT ALL. I ONLY HAVE 30K MILES ON MY CAR AND ONE OWNER BEFORE ME. I AM THE ONLY DRIVER AND MY CAR IS IN IMPECCABLE SHAPE! I KNOW IT IS NOT THE BATTERY BECAUSE I JUST PUT A BRANDNEW ONE IN JUST 3 MONTHS AGO. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE BECAUSE I SEE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS REPAIR SO IT IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURING ISSUE. WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT MY BENZ I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE BRAND. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A AUDI/BMW GIRL BUT VOWED I WOULD NEVER GO BACK UNTIL THIS ISSUE. TAKATA RECALL I BOUGHT MY VEHICLE FROM MERCEDES BENZ OF LONG BEACH ON JULY 10, 2017. WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE THEY DID NOT INFORM ME OF ANY RECALLS! I SEARCH MY VIN TODAY 1/05/2019 THRU THE WEBSITE AND I FIND OUT THERE IS 2 RECALLS FROM 2016 AND IT SAYS THERE ARE NO REMEDIES YET AVAILABLE AND THE PROBLEM WAS ESTABLISHED SINCE 2016! I TAKE THIS RECALL SERIOUSLY AS IT SAYS THE AIRBAG MAY EXPLODE AND SHARP PIECES OR SHRAPNEL MAY HIT THE DRIVER CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE EVERYDAY TO WORK,TO DO ERRANDS, AND TO SCHOOL BUT NOW SINCE FINDING OUT THAT THE AIRBAG CAN KILL YOU INSTEAD OF SAVING YOU I WILL STOP DRIVING THE CAR UNTIL THERE IS A SOLUTION. I REALLY FEEL DECEIVED FROM MERCEDES BENZ OF LONG BEACH FOR NOT TELLING ME THAT THERE IS A VERY SERIOUS RECALL REGARDING THE AIRBAGS EQUIPPED ON THE VEHICLE I PURCHASED FROM THEM. IF THERE IS YET TO BE A REMEDY FOR THIS PROBLEM I FEEL AS IF MERCEDES BENZ OF LONG BEACH SHOULD PROVIDE A LOANER VEHICLE UNTIL THERE IS A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. RECALL ON SRS LIGHT WARNING LIGHT
ELS/EIS SYSYTEM. MY 2009 C300'S IGNITION/STEERING LOCKED UP. NEITHER KEY WILL WORK. CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. HAVE FOUND 100'S OF THE EXACT SAME FAULTY EQUIPMENT COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE ONLINE. ( HTTP://WWW.ARFC.ORG/COMPLAINTS/2009/MERCEDES/C300/STEERING/PROBLEM.ASPX ). THIS JUST ONE OF MANY COMPLAINT SITES LISTING THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO MY LOCAL REPAIR FACILITY. THEY INFORMED THAT (ONLY) MERCEDES DEALERS CAN REPAIR THE PROBLEM BECAUSE OF THE "CODES" REQUIRED & THAT MERCEDES WILL NOT RELEASE THESE CODES AND/OR WILL NOT SUPPLY THE REPLACEMENT PARTS TO "OTHER" GARAGES. I (NOW) HAVE TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED AGAIN TO MERCEDES BENZ. COSTS RANGE (ACROSS USA), FROM $1,100.00 UP TO $3,300.. THE CAR WAS PARKED AND THERE WAS NO "PRIOR" WARNING DISPLAYED ON THE "INSTRUMENT PANEL" WARNING SYSTEM.. WITH ALL THESE EXACT SAME COMPLAINTS, REGARDING THIS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE REPAIR IS APPARENT THAT THIS IS A "FAULTY" SYSTEM AND WHY THE NHTSA HAS NOT ISSUED A "RECALL" IS BEYOND COMPREHENSION. CONSUMERS DESERVE BETTER WHEN PURCHASING AN AUTO OF SUCH "SUPPOSED" QUALITY.
UNABLE TO START THE CAR. ABLE TO OPERATE LIGHTS AND RADIO, BUT NOTHING ELSE. THERE WAS NO WARNING OF AN ISSUE. BATTERY WAS GOOD. CHECKED ON LINE FOR PROBLEMS WITH STARTING FOR THIS MODEL AND NOTIFIED THE DEALER. CAR WAS IN THE GARAGE AT THE TIME. THIS COULD HAVE OCCURRED AT ANY TIME. UNABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL OR TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. CAR ENDED UP BEING TOWED TO THE DEALER. THEY REPLACED THE ELECTRONIC STEERING LOCK. THIS IS NOT THE TYPE OF ISSUE THAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN TO YOU WHEN YOU ARE AWAY FROM HOME.
