BOUGHT USED MERCEDES C300 2015 4MATIC ON FEB'2019, ODOMETER READING WAS 44K MILES WITH CLEAN CARFAX REPORT. AFTER DRIVING JUST ABOUT 7K MIKES MORE, AT 53K MIKES CAR SHOWS ENGINE WARNING. THIS IS UNFORTUNATE FROM MERCEDEZ THAT WITH THIS MUCH OF NIRMAL USE, CAR IS HAVING ENGINE ISSUES.
I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR A MULTI POINT INSPECTION AT THE END OF NOVEMBER 2019 TO MERCEDES OF BELLEVUE. I BEGUN SMELLING GASOLINE FROM THE INSIDE CABIN OF MY CAR A FEW DAYS AFTER THE SERVICE AND HAD TO TAKE THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY FOUND THAT FUEL HOSES GOING TO THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP TO BE LEAKING FUEL. WITH THIS BEING A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD AND A SAFETY ISSUE, I ARGUED WITH THE DEALER THAT IT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, WHICH I STILL HAD A CPO WARRANTY FROM PURCHASING THE VEHICLE FROM THIS SPECIFIC DEALERSHIP. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND FOUND THAT, THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE MODEL, 2015 MERCEDES BENZ C300. I AM UNSURE WHY THIS ISSUE IS NOT YET RECALLED BY THE MANUFACTURER OR WHY THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT HONOR THIS ISSUE TTO BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.. AS A CONCERNED CUSTOMER OF THE HAZARDOUS POSSIBILITIES A FUEL LEAK COULD CAUSE, I STILL MOVED FORWARD WITH PAYING FOR THE REPAIR OUT OF POCKET VERSUS CONTINUING TO DEBATE WITH THE FINANCE AND SERVICE PERSONNEL THAT IT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY THAT I STILL HAD AT THE TIME.
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. THERE IS A FUEL SMELL COMING INSIDE OF THE CAR THROUGH THE FRONT FILTERS. WE HAVE CHANGED FUEL INJECTOR RING HOWEVER THE SMELL IS STILL THERE. MERCEDES DEALER IS NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. I SEE THERE ARE RECALLS ON THE SAME MODELS PRODUCED A YEAR PRIOR. BELIEVE THIS MIGHT BE THE SAME ISSUE THAT WAS NOT RESOLVED . TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ C300. WHILE THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND BEGAN TO HESITATE. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO PARK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MERCEDES-BENZ OF STEVENS CREEK (LOCATED AT 4500 STEVENS CREEK BLVD, SAN JOSE, CA 95129, (408) 641-4610) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
THERE IS A FUEL HOSE (PARTS NUMBER: 274 070 3500) CONNECT TO THE HIGH PRESSURE PUMP IN FRONT ENGINE AREA. THE FUEL HOSE WAS FASTENED BY A CLAMP (NOT SURE THE PARTS NUMBER) . BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN FLAW, THIS CLAMP WILL LOOSE SINCE IT'S A SNAP JOINT ASSEMBLIES NOT TIGHTEN BY SCREWS. UNDER THIS SITUATION, THE FUEL HOSE WILL LOOSE AND AFFECTED BY THERMAL EXPANSION, THIS PROBLEM WILL CAUSE FUEL LEAK/SEEPING. WE CAN SMELL FUEL NEAR THE PUMP BEFORE WE START CAR IN COLD IN THE MORNING AND THIS SMELL CAN BE SMELLED UNTIL THE ENGINE WORKING INTO THE NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE OR WHEN WE TURN ON THE AC OR HEATER . FUEL IS A VERY CRITICAL SAFETY PROBLEM AND USUALLY WE CANNOT TAKE NOTICE OF THIS POTENTIAL PROBLEM.THIS IS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE 11/19/2019 THE DATE WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR TILL NOW

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ C300W4. WHEN THE CONTACT ENTERED THE VEHICLE, SHE NOTICED A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MERCEDES-BENZ OF FARMINGTON (555 N BOURNE CIR, FARMINGTON, UT 84025, (801) 447-3300) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED A 20% DISCOUNT TOWARDS THE REPAIR COST. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO CALL NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V138000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,971.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AND MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THERE WAS A CLICKING SOUND COMING FROM THE STEERING WITH THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A CV JOINT FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
STRONG FUEL SMELL IN THE GARAGE AND INSIDE THE VEHICLE DURING COLD START AFTER THE VEHICLE IS PARKED FOR 8-12 HOURS. THE ISSUE IS EVEN MORE NOTICEABLE DURING COLDER WEATHER (BELOW 40). THE DEALER ACKNOWLEDGED THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE FOR C300 AND IS DUE TO A DEFECTIVE CLAMP ON A FUEL LINE. THE VEHICLE IS AT 44,000 MILES AND 6 MOUNTS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE FUEL LEAK IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE REPAIRED BY THE MANUFACTURER ESPECIALLY IF IS A WELL KNOWN DEFECT.
Sunshade on panoramic sunroof broke off and tore sunshade. Took it to MB service center and was told it is known issue for that model and many more with some part snapping off causing the damage and cost to repair is between 2500-3000. Have been reading online and lot of people seem to have same issue with the panoramic sunroof and shade not syncing together. Seems to be concern manufacturer should be looking at if there’s numerous vehicle with same issues. Part snapped off when trying to open up sunroof on hot summer day
PISTON CRACKED AT 68,000 MILES, CAUSING ENGINE DAMAGE THAT CANNOT BE REPAIRED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ C-300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH. A POLICE OFFICER HAD PULLED OVER ANOTHER VEHICLE AHEAD ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE IN FRONT MADE A COMPLETE STOP. AS A RESULT, IN TRANSITIONING THE FAR LEFT LANE THE CONTACT REAR ENDED THE VEHICLE IN AN ATTEMPT TO AVOID THE POLICE OFFICER AS HE WAS GOING DOWN TO COMPLETE AN INSPECTION ON THE UNDERBELLY OF THE DUMP TRUCK. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT NONE OF HER SAFETY SENSORS (SIDE OR FRONT RESPONDED) INDICATING THAT SHE WAS NEAR A VEHICLE ILLUMINATED. THE STEERING WHEEL AIRBAG DEPLOYED UPON IMPACT. THE KNEE AIR BAG DEPLOYED AFTER THE IMPACT OF THE CRASH. AS THE KNEE AIR BAG WAS DEPLOYING WITH FORCE CAUSED THE CONTACTS RIGHT FOOT TO GET STUCK AND BONES TO CRACK RESULTING IN VARIOUS BREAKS IN HER RIGHT FOOT. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHUT DOWN AND THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO START OR ADJUST HER SEAT IN ORDER TO RELEASE HER FOOT FROM THE KNEE AIR BAG AS PRESSURE WAS BUILDING UP IN THE BAG . THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE WHERE SHE WAS TREATED FOR HER FRACTURED RIGHT FOOT. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF THE DEALER OR THE MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.*TT *JB
TAKARA RECALL
AREA UNDER STEERING COLUMN IS EXPOSED REVEALING ELECTRICAL WIRING WHICH APPEARS TO BE CONNECTED TO THE ENGINE OR SOMETHING UNDER THE HOOD. I WAS TOLD THAT'S THE WAY VEHICLE WAS MADE, NO PART OR OPTION TO COVER EXPOSED AREA. IT IS UNSAFE BECAUSE AS I AM DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, CITY STREETS, ETC., MY KNEES TOUCH THE AREA AND MAY JARR SOMETHING LOSE.
Heavy fuel/gasoline smell around engine bay began approximately 2 years ago while the car was still under original 5 year warranty. Fuel smell would persist outside of the vehicle despite the vehicle not being driven for multiple days. When driven, fuel smell would permeate into the cabin of the vehicle and cause mild headaches to the occupants. Taken to dealer to find cause of smell and was advised that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. Fuel smell continues to persist since it was originally noticed without change and vehicle is no longer within warranty period. Recently, this vehicle was taken back to the same dealer for servicing for an unrelated issue. Told the service representative that there was a fuel smell that continues to linger around the vehicle when parked and inside the cabin. This inspection revealed leaks from two fuel lines and technician recommended replacement. Warning lamps, messages, or other indicators from the car never appeared.
AT HIGHWAY DRIVING SPEEDS IN EXCESS OF 50 MPH, THE GLASS TRIM PANEL OF THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF VIBRATES AND FLAPS WILDLY. IT IS NOT SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE ROOF OF THE CAR. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT REPLACED. IT WILL FLY OFF AND HIT THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME. IF THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME WERE A MOTORCYCLE, THE RESULTS WOULD BE DISASTROUS.

I SMELLED FUEL IN MY GARAGE OCCASIONALLY FOR THE PAST 4 MONTHS. I ASSUMED IN WAS THE GAS HEATER BUT WHEN I PARK MY CAR IN OTHERS GARAGE I SMELLED FUEL. A FRIEND SUGGESTED IT MIGHT BE MY CAR. I TOOK MY CAR INTO SERVICE FOR MY 50K SERVICE AND ASKED IF THEY COULD LOOK INTO. MERCEDES BENZ INFORMED ME IT IS WET AROUND THE FUEL HOSE CONNECTOR. BEFORE I ONLY SMELLED IT TWICE A MONTH IN THE GARAGE. AFTER ONE I GOT IT BACK FROM SERVICE, I SMELLED FUEL INSIDE THE CAR WHILE I'M DRIVING.

SUSPENSION PARTS ARE RUSTING OUT FAST I DON'T LIVE IN A SALTED ROAD FOR BLACK ICE TYPE OF ENVIRONMENT CAR ONLY HAS 66K MILES AND AC POURS FUEL ODORS IN THE CABIN INTERIOR MATERIALS ARE BUBBLING UP FAST EVEN AFTER UV TREATMENTS.
WHEN ACCELERATING WITH MY MERCEDES C300, THE CAR IS ACTUALLY LOOSING POWER. THE EFFECT IS REINFORCED AS THE CONTROLLING SYSTEM IS BLOCKING THE ACCELERATION. RESULT IS THAT THE CAR IS BRAKING SUDDENLY INSTEAD OF ACCELERATING. IT IS PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS WHEN TRYING TO PASS ANOTHER CAR ON THE HIGH WAY AS THE CAR WILL BRAKE. I ALMOST EXPERIENCED TWICE AN ACCIDENT ON THE HIGHWAY DUE TO THIS ACCELERATION/BAKE ISSUE. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO AN INDEPENDENT MERCEDES REPAIR CENTER. THEY CONFIRMED TO ME THAT MERCEDES ISSUED A TECHNICAL BULLETIN FOR AN ELECTRICAL CABLE REPLACEMENT DUE TO THAT FAILURE. THE ISSUE DESCRIBED ON THE TB IS IDENTICAL TO THE EXPERIENCE ISSUE. I CONTACTED MY MERCEDES DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THEY INFORMED ME THERE IS NO RECALL AND DON'T CONSIDER THIS ISSUE A SAFETY ISSUE. THEY WON'T REPLACE THE ELECTRICAL CABLE UNLESS I PAID FOR THE "SERVICE". THE CABLE HAS NOT BEEN DAMAGED OR DISCONNECTED. IT IS SIMPLY FAULTY AND MERCEDES KNOWS THE ISSUE AS THEY ISSUED A TB FOR THE VEHICLE.

THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE SUSPENSION SQUEAKS WHEN WHEEL IS TURNED OR GOING OVER BUMPS. THIS CAR IS LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD AND AROUND 50K MILES. I AM HOPEFUL THIS IS NOT A DANGEROUS FLAW IN THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM.
EXPLODING PANORAMIC ROOF. ON JANUARY 18, 2019, TWO HOURS INTO DRIVING FROM NEW YORK TO CANADA FOR A FAMILY VACATION, WITHOUT ANY WARNING AND FOR NO APPARENT REASON THE PANORAMIC ROOF TO OUR 2015 MERCEDES BENZ C300 4MATIC SUDDENLY AND VIOLENTLY EXPLODED. AT THE TIME OF THE OCCURRENCE THE HIGHWAY ROAD (I84E)WAS STRAIGHT, SMOOTH AND WE WERE AT CRUISING SPEED (60MPH), NO CARS ANYWHERE NEAR US IN FRONT OR FROM THE REAR. THE EXPLOSION SOUNDED AS IF A BOMB HAD GONE OFF OR IF WE HAD BEEN SHOT. TINY GLASS PARTICLES SPRAYED MY ENTIRE FAMILY INCLUDING MY WIFE, 2 DAUGHTER (12,15) AND OUR PUPPY. LUCKILY THE SUNSHADE COVERING UNDERNEATH THE GLASS ROOF CAUGHT THE LARGER PIECES OF BROKEN GLASS. AFTER MAKING SURE THE FAMILY WAS NOT INJURED I MANAGED TO FIND A LARGE PIECE OF CARDBOARD THAT I DUCT TAPE TO THE ROOF AND SLOWLY MADE OUR WAY BACK HOME, ENDING OUR TRIP. UPON ARRIVING HOME I DID LOTS OF RESEARCH AND TO MY SURPRISE FOUND THAT EXPLODING PANORAMIC ROOFS WAS MORE COMMON THAN I HAD EVER THOUGHT WITH MANY OWNERS GONE THROUGH THE EXACT SITUATION AS I. YET, MERCEDES REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS ISSUE AND PRESENTLY DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL ON THEIR PROBLEM. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY WHEN I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A REPAIR, THE SERVICE ADVISOR ACTED AS IF THIS WAS NO BIG DEAL AND ALSO THAT HE HAS NEVER SEEN THIS ISSUE IN HIS 34 YEARS OF BEING THERE. I CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT THIS IS A FALSE STATEMENT SINCE THE VALLET PERSON WHO TOOK MY CAR SAID HE HAS SEEN IT ON QUITE A FEW OCCASION. MERCEDES BENZ OF NORTH AMERICA NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS SITUATION BEFORE IT BECOMES A FATAL MISHAP. THE SOUND AND GLASS DEBRIS COULD HAVE EASILY DISTRACTED ME ENOUGH FOR ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS NEAR OUR CAR.
2015 MERCEDES BENZ C300 WITH 65 K MILES. THE SECONDARY HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP (274070050180) LEAKED GAS SERIOUSLY. IT WAS THE UNIT ITSELF NOT THE CONNECTIONS OR LINES TO IT.
When I got my Mercedes 2.5 years ago I would always notice a very strong gas smell that would come very randomly. I would have to open my windows for the smell of fuel to go away. I presented this to the Greenway Mercedes Dealership 2X VERBALLY and they told me that it is just a "Mercedes thing" and everything is ok because it is not "VISIBILLY" leaking fuel. Which it was not. However, the smell of the fuel is EXTREME, It would happen to me through out the year (in the summer and winter, regardless of temperature) randomlly. I would have to leave the garage ASAP when I turn on my car just in case the smell of fuel was extreme because my parents would tell me that it would even COME INTO THE HOUSE. I thought I was crazy to think this was normal and just a "Mercedes thing". But then I got a letter on August 2021 and did some research and saw I was not the only one and there is a class action lawsuit -Mercedes sent a letter on August 21 announcing they will extended the limited warranty of the "Fuel hose connected to high pressure fuel pump" from the original warranty of 4 years/50,000 miles to 10 years/120,000 miles. HOWEVER, This does NOT HELP, they are still saying it is a wear and tear and REFUSE to replace the defected MANUFACTORER part and INSIST it is not "seeping fuel" from the connection at the fuel pump, so it is NOT under warranty. I am confused as to why this is not a recall? Extending the warranty did nothing to help Mercedes Owners at all. They continued to claim it is "wear and tear so that is why the fuel is sweeping at a different location" AS WELL, two dealerships told me it would take them 24-48 hours for them to JUST INSPECT my car to see if it is covered. This extension did resolve anything, but made sure the dealerships deny even more. Now, I have to continue to leave my garage within 30 sec. so I don't suffocate the cats that sleep in the garage or have my family smell the fuel as I leave. And to open my windows so I can breath fresh air.
PANORAMIC SUNROOF SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODED WHILE THE CAR WAS SITTING. MERCEDES CLAIMING SOMETHING FELL INTO IT, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING ABOVE IT OR IN THE CAR WHILE IT WAS SITTING IN THE GARAGE. AFTER READING ONLINE, THIS IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF OTHER CONSUMERS, INCLUDING ONE WHO HAS STARTED A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN CALIFORNIA
The panoramic sunroof is faulty. Doing a simple search online showed that this is a common problem amongst my vehicle model where parts are loose or misinstalled and it is a safety concern in a potential accident or rollover. My dealer is now looking into it and it is also an excessive out-of-pocket cost to make the vehicle safer. Something I do not expect from a high-end vehicle manufacturer. I identified this due to the rattling sound in the ceiling/sunroof.

HIGH FUMES OF GASOLINE AT START UP INSIDE CABIN AND OUTSIDE OF CABIN. SMELL IS USUALLY MORE PRESENT WHEN TANK IS FULL OR NEARLY EMPTY HOWEVER CAN BE PRESENT EVEN AT HALF A TANK. NO CODES APPEAR OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOT TRIGGERED BY PROBLEM.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED LITTLE ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000.

SPEAKERS RANDOMLY STOP WORKING - SOMETIMES FOR A FEW HOURS AND OTHER TIMES FOR UP TO 5 DAYS. BACK DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT HARD TO ENGAGE AND WILL COME UNENGAGED WITHOUT PROMPTING. BRAKE PADS WEAR OUT EVERY 30,000 MILES BACK PASSENGER SIDE TIRE AND VALVE HAS BEEN REPLACED 4 TIMES IN LESS THAN 70,000 MILES AND STILL LOOSES AIR INTERMITTENTLY. CAR CAN BE PARKED OR MOVING. NO CONSISTENCY IN WHEN OR AMOUNT AIR PRESSURE IS LOST.
The panoramic sunroof of the C300 is held in plastic hooks that break, even with normal use. So, that leaves the panoramic roof to fly off the vehicle on the highway. I have not opened my roof in three years because I am afraid it might not hold up. Looking at the MB owners' forum, it seems to be a pretty common issue that these plastic hooks break, and then the panoramic roof either doesn't close all the way, stay up to let the air come underneath it to introduce the risk of it flying away, or become really flappy when driving with open roof.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS A TEMPORARY SOFTWARE UPDATE AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.

I HAVE A 2015 MERCEDES BENZ C300. I HAVE NOT EVEN OWNED THE CAR FOR ONE YEAR AND I HAVE ALREADY HAD A WHOLE LIST OF PROBLEMS THAT ARE NOT BEING RESOLVED. THE STEREO QUIT WORKING, THE BACK UP CAMERA DOESN'T WORK, THE AC WORKS ON AND OFF, AND MY HANDS FREE DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. THIS ALL HAPPENED ONE DAY WHEN I TURNED ON MY CAR TO LEAVE WORK. THE STEREO WAS FROZEN AND IT HAS STUCK LIKE THAT. MERCEDES HAS NOT SENT OUT A RECALL OR ANY NOTIFICATION AT ALL. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SENT IT BACK WITH NO IDEA OF WHEN IT WILL BE FIXED.
THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE MENTIONED ABOVE. THE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM AND THE REAR CAMERA DO NOT WORK. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN REGARDING THE REAR CAMERA. THE C-CLASS IS DESIGNED IN SUCH WAY THAT YOU DEPEND ON THE CAMERA WHEN REVERSING AND IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE THE REAR VIEW WHEN BACKING AND LOOKING FROM ALL ANGLES. I CALLED YOUR HQ IN MARYLAND FOR ASSISTANCE, THEY WERE UNAWARE OF POTENTIAL REPORTED PROBLEMS. THEIR BEST ANSWER WAS TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP. THE FOLLOWING DAY, I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM NEW COUNTRY MOTOR CARS MERCEDES BENZ OF HARTFORD, CT STATING THAT THEY HAVE NOT HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM AND ITS VERY UNLIKELY THAT IT WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECENT RECALL REGARDING THIS VEHICLE. UPON ARRIVAL, AND RETELLING MY STORY TO THE SERVICE ADVISOR HELDER CRESPO, HE TOLD ME THAT THEIR RECEIVED NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE MAKE AND THAT OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE AFFECTED BY THIS SIMILAR PROBLEM. IT BEEN THREE WEEKS, I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM MB OR DEALERSHIP. I AM QUIET APPALLED BY THIS MATTER AND SHOCKED BY THE IMPROPER COMMUNICATION FROM MB TO THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS. IS THIS 'THE BEST OF NOTHING' CUSTOMER RELATION?! I AM EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED HOW THIS MATTER IS BEING HANDLED AND THAT NOT EVEN ONE SINGLE PERSON WHO KNEW ABOUT THIS ISSUE DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCES THAT THIS HAD CASED ME.
ENTERTAINMENT UNIT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. HAPPENED OUT OF NOWHERE ONE DAY TURNED ON THE CAR AND IT WAS FROZEN. BACK UP CAMERA 9/10 TIMES DOES NOT WORK AND WHEN IT DOES IT TURNS ON AFTER YOU HAVE BACKED UP AND ARE ALREADY GOING FORWARD. UNIT FREEZES UNABLE TO CHANGE OR DO ANYTHING TO THE UNIT ITSELF. OCCASIONALLY A BLUE SCREEN POPS UP FOR 1-2 SECONDS AND GOES TO THE INITIAL START UP SCREEN FOR A WHILE. I WENT TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THE ADMITTED OF HEARING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FROM OTHER OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE CAUSE THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO FIX IT, I MEAN THAT'S ABSURD.
