CONTINENTAL CONTISPORTCONTACT SSR TIRES SIDE WALL RIP/TEAR (MERCEDES BENZ), THIS IS THE FORTH REPLACED TIRES, COMPLAINED SEVERAL TIMES AND FALLS ON DEATHS EARS. MY CONCERN IF A MAJOR CRASH DO TO THE TIRES THEN WHO IS AT FAULT. REPLACING IT SEVERAL TIMES IS NOT THE ANSWER. TAKING THESE TIRES OFF THE ROAD WILL SAVES LIVES. CAR ONLY HAS 6000 MILES ON IT.
APPARENTLY THERE IS A RECALL SITUATION THAT INCLUDES MY VEHICLE AND MERCEDES BENZ WASN'T ABLE TO SOLVE IT YET. I BOUGHT THE CAR AFTER THE RECALL HAS BEGAN.
I HAVE OWNED THE CAR FOR ABOUT 14 MONTHS AND DRIVEN JUST OVER 10,000 MILES DURING THAT TIME. I HAVE NOW HAD MY FIFTH FLAT OR DAMAGED FRONT TIRE SINCE OWNERSHIP OCCURRING ON BOTH DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE. THE DEALER REPLACES THE TIRE, WITH THE OEM REPLACEMENT, FIRST AT MY COST OF AROUND $400 EACH AND THEN EACH SUBSEQUENT TIME FOR $35 UNDER THE INCLUDED ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER AND MBUSA ABOUT THIS REOCCURING ISSUE WHICH THEY STATE IS NOT UNDER RECALL AND IS AN ISSUE WITH THE TIRE MANUFACTURER. HOWEVER, I FAIL TO SEE HOW THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE BECAUSE THEY CHOSE THE OEM TIRE SUPPLIER. IN EVERY CASE EXCEPT ONE, THE TIRE ISSUE WAS CAUSED BY A RELATIVELY SHALLOW POT HOLE OR PAVEMENT DEFECT. THE ONE EXCEPTION WAS WHEN I CAME IN CONTACT WITH A MORE SUBSTANTIAL POT HOLE AT NIGHT (I DIDN'T SEE IT) AND THE TIRE BLEW OUT COMPLETELY AND I HAD TO ABANDON THE CAR OVERNIGHT UNTIL THE DEALER COULD TOW IT THE NEXT DAY. ONE TIME, THE CAR WAS TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, BUT OTHER TIMES IT WAS ON BACK ROADS AT SPEEDS OF NO MORE THAN 35-40 MPH. THE TIRES ARE RUN FLAT TIRES AND THE CAR HAS NO SPARE SO I AM RELUCTANT TO DRIVE AT NIGHT AND DEFINITELY CANNOT TAKE ON ANY TRIPS FOR FEAR OF GETTING STRANDED.

I AM WRITING TO SHARE MY DISSATISFACTION WITH MERCEDES BENZ. I HAVE A 2018 C300 THAT WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW. THE STEERING WHEEL IS DETERIORATING AND I ADDRESSED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF ONTARIO,CA. I OPENED A CASE WITH CORPORATE AND SPOKE WITH CASE MANAGER JAMES WHO WAS NOT HELPFUL, AND REFUSED TO PUT IN A ESCALATION TO MANAGEMENT ABOUT MY SITUATION. HE ACTUALLY THOUGHT MY CALL WAS FUNNY AND LAUGHED AT ONE POINT. I WAS INSULTED BY MERCEDES BENZ WITH THE COMMENT YOU GUYS TOLD ME ABOUT MY WHEEL, AND HOW YOU WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THE STANDARD WARRANTY WHICH I'M COVERED UNDER. I FEEL HIGHLY OFFENDED BY THE COMMENT USED BY THE DLR TOWARDS ME OF "YOU USE TOO MUCH LOTION". SOUNDS LIKE A RACIAL COMMENT IF YOU ASK ME. I AM UNCERTAIN IF ITS BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN OF COLOR THAT I WAS TOLD THAT COMMENT. IT ACTUALLY DOESNT SIT WELL WITH ME. I WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE ANOTHER PURCHASE OF A MERCEDES BENZ! YOU GUYS QUOTE ME FOR A NEW STEERING WHEEL OF $2,117 TO RECTIFY MY ISSUE AND OFFERED TO PAY 30%? I'M A NEW CUSTOMER AND THIS IS TERRIBLE SERVICE/TREATMENT. I HAD A DODGE VEHICLE BEFORE THIS FULLY LOADED WITH LEATHER, & THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS FROM 12/2018 HAD NEVER SCHEDULED A APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE OF MY WHEEL UPON MY REQUEST AND NEVER CONTACTS ME, YET SENDS SURVEY'S? THE AGENT EVEN TOLD ME THE DLR LIED TO ME ABOUT THEM CONTACTING CORPORATE, AND NEVER REACHED OUT FOR ASSISTANCE. ALSO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WANTED ME TO WORK WITH A IRF TO REPLACE THE LEATHER BUT I WANT CORPORATE TO STAND BEHIND THE STANDARD WARRANTY. CAR IS ONLY 8 MONTHS OLD. THIS IS TERRIBLE BUSINESS AND UNETHICAL!
NEW VEHICLE WITH UNDER 1000 TOTAL MILEAGE. INTERNAL PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE IN TRANSMISSION FAILED CAUSING MAJOR DAMAGE TO TRANSMISSION WITH METAL SHAVING FOUND IN TRANSMISSION PAN. TRANSMISSION AND FAULTY VALVE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY.

I BOUGHT A CAR IN APRIL 2018. THE FIRST ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON THE HIGHWAY IN MAY 2018. I WAS DRIVING AT A SPEED OF 75 KM / H. I SAW THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME STEPPING ON THE BRAKES AND I ALSO STEPPED ON THE BRAKES, BUT MY CAR DID NOT SLOW DOWN. MERCEDES-BENZ KOREA CLAIMED THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE CAR, ALTHOUGH THE CAR COLLIDED WITH THE CAR AS IT WAS. IN JULY 2018, THE SECOND ACCIDENT OCCURRED IN THE UNDERGROUND PARKING LOT OF THE APARTMENT WHERE I LIVE. I STARTED THE CAR, I SAW A CAR IN FRONT OF 60M. AS SOON AS I FOUND THE CAR AND STEPPED ON THE BRAKES, MY CAR SUDDENLY STARTED TO RUN AT HIGH SPEED. I WAS SURPRISED AND BRAKED HARDER. THE HARDER THE BRAKES WERE, THE FASTER THE CAR DROVE. FORTUNATELY, I DID NOT HIT THE CAR THAT WAS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE, BUT MY CAR WAS PUSHED INTO THE WALL. ON CCTV, YOU CAN SEE THAT I WAS PUSHED INTO THE WALL WITH MY BRAKES ON. IT IS BECAUSE THE BRAKE LIGHT OF MY VEHICLE COMES IN. BY THE WAY, MERCEDES-BENZ KOREA SAYS THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH MY VEHICLE FOR FIVE MONTHS AND THAT EVERYTHING IS MY FAULT. I HAVE ALSO REPORTED SEVERAL TIMES THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ABS MODULATOR OF A C-CLASS CAR MADE BY MERCEDES-BENZ AT A KOREAN BROADCASTING STATION. MERCEDES-BENZ KOREA TOLD ME THAT WHEN I FIRST HAD A CONVERSATION, THE ABS MODULATOR WAS WORKING AND THAT THE CAR SLIPPED BECAUSE OF IT. I ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE BRAKE PEDAL. MY CAR WAS TURNING ON THE BRAKE LIGHTS ALL THE WAY UP TO 60M STRAIGHT AHEAD (I WAS STILL ON THE BRAKES) AND THE CAR EVENTUALLY HIT THE WALL. WHEN I PROTESTED TO MERCEDES-BENZ KOREA, THEY SAID TO ME, "THE BRAKE LIGHT IS ON, BUT THE BRAKE ASSIST LIGHT IS OFF. YOU DID NOT BRAKE." THEY HAD AN OBVIOUSLY DIFFERENT ANSWER FROM THE BEGINNING. "I RIDE THE CAR AGAIN. HOW WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU HAVE AN ACCIDENT?" WHEN ASKED THEM, THEY "DO NOT HAVE TO ANSWER ANYTHING THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED YET."
I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO MERCEDES BENZ FOR A REAR TAIL LIGHT RECALL. WHEN I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. NOTE: THIS WAS NOT HAPPENING PRIOR TO ME DROPPING THE CAR OFF TO THE DEALER. THE SERVICE MANAGER DROVE MY CAR BACK TO THE MECHANIC. I WAS THEN TOLD THAT, IRONICALLY, THE BRAKE LINE RUSTED (METAL LINE) OUT CAUSING THE BRAKE FLUID TO LEAK OUT. ALSO, PASSENGER FRONT SEAT SENSOR WENT. SEAT WILL NOT MOVE BACK OR FORWARD.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
FORWARD COLLISON SYSTEM ($1700 OPTION) AEB, DOES NOT WORK AS DESCRIBED IN MB LITERATURE OR WEBSITE. IN MY OPINION, THE FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM (AEB) IN MY 7 MO. OLD 2018 MERCEDES C300 SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. I SPECIAL ORDERED THE CAR WITH THE 997 PKG THAT INCLUDES, DRIVER ASSISTANCE, BAS+, AND DISTRONIC THE MB MANUAL STATES: 'IF ACTIVE BRAKE ASSIST DETECTS THAT THERE IS A RISK OF COLLISION, YOU WILL BE WARNED VISUALLY AND ACOUSTICALLY. IF YOU DO NOT REACT AUTONOMOUS BRAKING CAN BE INITIATED IN CRITICAL SITUATIONS.' AND FURTHER THAT 'AUTONOMOUS BRAKING WORKS AT 4-124MPH FOR MOVING OBJECTS AND 4-31 MPH FOR STATIONARY OBJECTS.'
