The contact owns a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class. The contact stated that upon approaching the vehicle, she discovered that the driver's side window was shattered. The sunroof was brown, and there was a hole in the dashboard showing the engine. The contact stated that the vehicle had caught fire; however, the fire extinguished on its own. There were no prior warning lights illuminated. There were no reported injuries, air bag deployment, or police report filed. The fire department responded and was present at the scene, and disconnected several wires. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The shifter randomly stops working so I could have the car in reverse and not be able to put it in drive and be stuck in traffic or vice versa. I can have the car and drive and not be able to put it in reverse. I'd be stuck in traffic very dangerous.
I own a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 with the 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder M270 engine. The check-engine light came on and an OBD-II scan showed fault code P052E / P052E71, which indicates that the valve for crankcase ventilation (PCV / crankcase ventilation valve integrated into the valve cover) has a malfunction and the actuator is blocked. The vehicle is available for inspection and, if the repair is performed, the failed part can be retained. This appears to be the same failure that has been documented by other owners and by Mercedes-Benz on the related M274 engine used in other models (same 2.0L turbo engine family and PCV / crankcase ventilation design, but in a longitudinal layout). For those vehicles, Mercedes has issued technical service bulletins and extended emissions-related warranty coverage for the crankcase ventilation / PCV system, but vehicles like my CLA with the M270 engine are excluded even though they show the same DTCs and failure. In my case, the problem has so far shown up as a check-engine light and stored fault codes, without obvious drivability symptoms yet. However, a blocked or failed crankcase ventilation valve can increase crankcase pressure, cause oil leaks, fuel vapor or oil smells, and potential turbocharger or drivability issues, which may create a safety risk if the problem worsens (loss of power or stalling). The problem has been reproduced multiple times with different OBD-II scan tools. I contacted Mercedes-Benz and was told there are no recalls or warranty coverage for this issue on my vehicle.
The contact owns a 2014 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLA45. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH, the glass panel between the front windshield and the sunroof suddenly detached. The contact inspected the vehicle and found information on NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V854000 (Structure). The dealer was contacted and informed the contact the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
P052e common crankcase ventilator issue mercedez extended warranty for later models for this same consistent issue in all the cars excluding 2014 starting at 2015 vehicles making us pay over $2000 for a fix supposed to be free being that it's all mercedes even the year before Should be a recall along with the hundreds of thousands of people with same issue online same car.
The ‘Sunroof shade’ malfunctioned. Just randomly came off-track. Yes, it is still available to inspect. Shade now hangs down and rises a safety concern for visibility. Not inspected by a dealer or other representative yet. No warning lights or failure notices are present.

After a visual inspection, the contact observed excessive rust underneath the rear subframe. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to Extended Warranty–Rear Subframe Damage Code: 35441 47. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 100,000.

I was driving down the highway without any vehicles in front of me at around 65mph when all of a sudden my panoramic roof exploded out of nowhere, it sounded like a gunshot going off inside the car and I nearly crashed my vehicle from the sudden explosion, I luckily had the glass shade cover up and glass did not fall in my face, I had my [XXX] daughter and [XXX] son in the backseat and they are now terrified to get back into any vehicle. This is extremely dangerous situation and will cause a serious accident in the future if not fixed. Nothing hit my roof and I wasn’t even using it at the time no one touched the thing, it just exploded out of nowhere. The contact stated that when the vehicle stalled, an audible chime sounded, and the air bag warning light illuminated, and a RED triangle symbol flashed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the instrument cluster went blank, and the vehicle lost power steering assist. Additionally, the brake pedal was very difficult to depress. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after several attempts, and the vehicle returned to normal functionality. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. The contact drove the vehicle to a dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred and the vehicle had not taken back to the dealer. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 76,850.
NEW TIRE REPLACEMENT AFTER A FAULTY TIRE. TPMS NOT REGISTERING CORRECTLY, RIM LEAK FROM IMPORPER SEALING AND NOW TIRE HAD A SMALL TEAR HAD TO BE PLUGGLED
TIRE TREAD TORE FROM THE INSEAM OF TIRE CAUSING ME TO BE STRANDED OUT OF STATE FOR 2 DAYS WAITING ON MEANS OF A NEW TIRE . THE VEHICLE PULLS AND NOW HAS NEEDED A SECOND TIRE REPLACEMNT ON SAME SIDE. CONSISTANT WARNING FROM TPM RIM BENT CAUSING RIM LEAK ON CURRENT TIRE. YES A TIRE SERVICE CENTER REPLACED THE TIRE COMPLETELY FAILED TO ACKNOWLEDGE BENT RIM .
I purchased my vehicle early March from Carmax. They offer a 90 day guarantee on anything that will go wrong with the vehicle full coverage. My daughter was having my grandchild so what a great opportunity but to drive my new vehicle from Chicago to Florida to give it a good run when I arrived I was having problems with the Eco drive, which is the start stop enabler. The car would die out. Also, there were a few alarms as far as the temperature of the vehicle and the service mechanism being that I had left at the dealership at 9:30 PM at night and hit the road immediately I had to notice until the morning, but there was some cracking on the exterior of the driver side tire. Upon arriving to Florida. I brought the car directly to Mercedes at the Daytona auto Mall soon as I walked in they service representative stated we don’t deal with Carmax and I said well they said the car is covered under warranty to go ahead and bring it into you guys and they will take care of the bill. They made a big fuss about it saying that it needed to go to Carmax then Carmax needed to bring them the vehicle even though I had all of my stuff located in the vehicle for traveling then they proceeded to tell me that they would not give me a loaner car during the time of my service. The Carmax representative that I spoke with in service his name was Al when I had addressed all of my concerns he had mentioned due to the tire issue. They would be replacing all four tires and that they would address the issues with the Start stop control the computer reacting and then disappearing, and also a safety recall that I had noticed about the airbags because the passenger side airbag kept displaying a blinking needless to say, after being totally inconvenienced, they have my vehicle for over a week. The second I went to pick up the car. I had to pick it up in the afternoon due to having to work in the evening they had it ready in the express. .I PURCHASED BRAND NEW VEHICLE FROM CARMAX OF OAKLAWN , WHO IMPORTED THE VEHICLE FROM NAPERVILLE IL IT CAME WITH 90 DAY GAURANTEE OR MONEY BACK.I THEN DROVE TO FLORIDA 2 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE OF WHICH MY BOYFRIEND [XXX] AT THE TIME CAN ATTEST THE VEHICLE DROVE AMAZING.UPON MY ARRIVAL I WAS HAVING ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THE ECO DRIVE AND THE COMPUTER CODED AND DISAPPEARED 3 TIMES. I CONTACTED CARMAX 800 NUMBER THEY ADVISED ME TO BRING IT TO THE DAYTONA BEACH AUTOMALL CARMAX WHO THEN REF ME TO THE DAYTONA AUTOMALL MERCEDES BENZ DEALER TO BE SERVICED. MERCEDES SERV REP "SAID WE DONT DEAL WITH CARMAX" AND SENT ME BACK TO CARMAX AFTER MY SERV REP INSTRUCTED ME TO BRING THE VEHICLE THERE. SO THEN I WENT TO CARMAX WHO THEN DELIVERED THE VEHICLE TO MERCEDES BENZ OF DAYTONA. I WAS GIVEN A LOANER VEHICLE OF WHICH MY PERSONAL ITEMS DISAPEARED FROM "CONVIENTLY LEGAL DOCUMENTS AND FILES" THEY REPLACED BOTH BATTERIES IN THE VEHICLE AND (4)TIRES CLAIMING IT WOULD FIX THE PROB . SOON AS I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE I INFORMED THEM THAT IT WAS NOT RIGHT AND NEEDED THE ADVISOR TO CONTACT ME ASAP. I CONTINUED TO HAVE MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL, FUEL AND COMPUTER INDICATIONS. THE VEHICLE IS NOT THE SAME CAR. I ALSO COMPARED MY VIN NUMBER THROUGH MERCEDES AND EXPRESSED A DIFFERENT MODEL OF VEHICLE. THEY CLAIMED THAT IT WAS DO TO SYSTEM BEING OUTDATED AND THAT THERE IS NO UPDATE FOR IT. SO WHY DO MY EMERGENCY SAFETY ITEMS SHOW AN ELECTRIC CAR ? DIFFERENT MODEL THE CAR STATES ITS A CLA 45 AMG. FUEL BURNS VERY QUICKLY ENGINE IS LOUDER AND I AM NOTICING A GRAYING IN MY HANDS AFTER EXCESS DRIVING ALMOST LIKE BLISTERING , THE ENGINE SOUND IS NOT CORRECT AND THE COMPUTER KEEPS JUMPING HUNDREDS OF MILES SAYING ITS OVER THE PACKAGE IN AN EXCESS OF 200 MILES PER DAY AT TIMES . TPM SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. MILEAGE IS NOT RECORDING ACCURATELY, PASS AIR BAG SAFETY GOES OFF, OF WHICH I ADDRESED THE POSS RECALL I FOUND. THEY REFUSED TO SPEAK WITH ME OR RETURN CALLS. Apparently the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) which is built into the gas pedal on this 2014 MB CLA250 only lasts so long before it becomes defective under highway conditions and causes the vehicle to go into LIMP MODE. When full acceleration is necessary, the unit will work for perhaps a few months or less, and then continue to fail worse and more frequently with each attempt at full acceleration. At highway speeds, this is an essential feature in a 4-cylinder vehicle such as this one and without the necessary acceleration capability, can expose the driver to serious risk of collision with other on-coming vehicles traveling at highway speeds. This "Limp Mode" features is extremely dangerous and hazardous to not only the driver of their vehicle, but to other drivers around them since they are left in a devastating position of being unable to accelerate normally and as necessary and as one would expect in any vehicle, let alone a Mercedes Benz. Never before have I driven a car that falls out of full acceleration mode only to subject the driver to serious collision circumstances. Whoever the imbecile is at MB engineering who incorporated this Limp Mode Feature should be fired!!! To make matters worse, this cheaply built TPS, which is the cause of the problem in my vehicle specifically, was only warrantied twice by the dealer and now they will not replace it under warranty which is a two-year period. I've only had the part 5 months before it failed again due to poor manufacturing and I had to pay all over again for a new one despite my warranty validity. There have been many other MB owners who have the same complaint for Limp Mode, which tells me that it's definitely not me, but rather the poorly built or engineered vehicle, as a matter of fact. MB has denied having these complaints to me, which of course, is a lie. That's misleading and deceptive business practices in my State and MB needs to live up to its warranty provisions and respect its customers.

As I was driving yesterday afternoon, I heard a noise and normally we don't hear any type of noise or air coming into the car. I decided to open the sunroof to see if there was something wrong with it like if it was stuck open or if something was stuck in it, and the whole sunroof almost flew off the car. I had to pull over as fast as I could into the break down lane and it took me a while to close it and it still seems to be open, I didn't see anything stuck in the guide rails or in the area when closing it. I was very scared for the safety of my children and myself and for the other drivers on the highway. I have made an appointment so the shop and check the car out and run some diagnostics. There are no warning lights or messages prior to the sunroof almost flying off the car.
I was driving my 2014 Mercedes CLA 250 on [XXX] traveling away from Fairfax County and towards Prince William County on Christmas morning right before [XXX]. The front right passenger side wheel started shaking and then flew off. I brought the car to a stop on the left hand shoulder of the road on three wheels. My wheel hit the metal fence and then ricocheted back across to the left crossing both sides of traffic (four lanes), hitting a concrete wall and becoming airborne before landing in the stream below. It was sunny and there was no rain. Speed was 45 mph. Witnesses observed the incident and I have their contact information. A police report was filed. Common issue with this make and model and many others Check engine code P052E
Please let me preface this by saying that I am a certified aircraft mechanic and have a good working knowledge of cars. My vehicle had NO prior indications, symptoms or abnormalities! This was completely out of the blue. Absolutely no warning that this was going to happen. The transmission of my 2014 CLA 250 Base model, while operating at 65mph on the interstate, all on its own, went into neutral and now will not engage into Drive. Initially following this incident, as I dogged the other vehicles on the interstate and coasted to the emergency lane, there were the following warning lights: ABS, TRACTION CONTROL, PARKING BRAKE accompanied with the alerts….PRE-SAFE Functions Limited, ABS/TRACTION CONTROL Currently Unavailable See O.M., Parking Brake See O.M. I then took it to the MB dealership and after they attempted transmission adaptation (which was not successful) they showed me the following fault codes: 079200-RPM sensor 1 has a malfunction, 287C00-Adaptation was not completed successfully. The alerts now state….Service Required: Do Not Shift Gears, visit dealer. The dealer wanted to change the transmission. I refused. I have had zero noticeable issues with the transmission with 72,000 miles. I had the transmission fluid replaced at 65,000 miles. I baby the car. I shouldn’t need to explain the dangers of a vehicle, while driving, randomly shifting into neutral, and not being able to be shifted back into Drive. I attempted all possible means of shifting the automatic transmission into drive, including the use of manual gear selection, and none of them worked, even after shutting the vehicle off and restarting multiple times. This is an extremely DANGEROUS malfunction!!

The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
My engine light is and as per mechanics I have seen it is a very common problem with mercedes benz around crankcase ventilation actuator. As per mechanics its faulty part and mercedes have changed it for new models but there is no recall on the older models. Cost to repair the part is around $3500. Issue with the part if causing environment problem as mileages is reduced and more fuel burning. This eventually impacts the engine and car.
As I was driving, the car is on D but it slips into N and I cannot shift to any other gear accept P. This happens randomly and happened three times. I noticed the GLA250 also had this issue. I have to turn off my engine and restart my car to get it running again normally.
Component failure was steering column module. Safety issue was air bag could inadvertently deploy while driving. Recall NHTSA # 17V627 was issued. Vehicle inspected by Stargate Garage, Caliber Collision and Mercedes of Pompano Beach FL. Message displayed was front left malfunction and red warning light for SRS system. Warning message and red light appeared 18 months after dealer supposedly repaired this recalled item. Vehicle was returned to dealer to make proper repair on this recalled item and they refused to replace it. Steering column module was replace by Stargate Garage and the message left front malfunction and red light warning SRS no longer appears on instrument panel. Stargate Garage was paid $685 to make this repair which should have been the dealer's responsibility. Therefor I am requesting that the dealer reimburse me my out of pocket expense of $685.00 since it was there responsibility to make this repair under the recall that was issued. I was unable to upload my documentation so I will also be sending this information in the mail.
When accelerating, the car loses power. My teenager was almost hit by another car as she was trying to enter the highway via an off-ramp. It happens very often. This started occurring at 60k! When stopped with your foot on the brake or even in park, the car goes slams backward and cuts the engine back to a rev. This has been occurring since 37k. Additionally, there is a loud clunking noise when you turn the wheel. This has been occurring since 50k. Power seat on driver’s side loses all power and locks. This has been replaced/repaired three times! Glove box locked and will not unlock even with key. The sunroof no longer works. Found pieces of plastic in the guide rails as the shoe horn pieces seems to be broken apart and had to force my sunroof to close and now it whistles as I am on the highway. I have seen hundreds of complains about this on the Mercedes Benz message boards
While driving on the freeway the glass piece between the windshield and sunroof flew off of the car, causing a major safety hazard.

my son was driving it on highway and noticed smoke and fire from rear driver side. Thankfully he was able to get car on shoulder and the whole car lit up in flame. Firefighters and Police rescued them and there was no indication on what started this fire. Police has filed report as misc that it could be from car fuel line or such, there was no other problems with car and it has been services by Mercedes dealer all along.
I just got the vehicle it’s losing power already, I was driving up a hill as a school bus was behind me, and my car started losing power and rolling back. I have a transmission issue they sold it this way also electrical.
The vehicle had been previously serviced in 2019 by a Mercedes-Benz dealership. The panel between the windshield and the panoramic sunroof was replaced due to paint issues. While driving down the highway, I heard a constant noise but was unable to locate it when driving above 60 mph, after a few minutes the panel ripped off the car onto traffic behind. Thankfully the car behind me was able to brake and was not struck directly by the panel, but did run it over. This VIN is currently not in recall for this issue, but the car does meet the criteria for recall. Recall date 2021-03-18 Recall no. 21V197000 Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2017-2020 C300 Coupe, C43 Coupe AMG, C43 AMG, 2015-2020 C300, GLA250, 2016-2018 C350e, CLA45 Coupe AMG, 2015 C400, S65 AMG, 2015-2019 C63 AMG, 2016 C450, 2015-2016 GLA45 AMG, S600, 2016-2020 GLC300, 2017-2019 GLC43 AMG, GLE43 Coupe AMG, 2014-2019 CLA250 Coupe, 2014-2015 CLA45 AMG, 2018 GLC63 AMG, 2014-2017 S550, 2018-2020 S450, 2016-2019 GLE63 Coupe AMG, 2016 GLE450 Coupe, 2014-2020 S63 AMG, 2018-2019 S560, and 2019 GLC350e vehicles equipped with a panoramic sunroof. The front roof panel located between the windshield and the panoramic sunroof may not have been bonded correctly to the vehicle during a prior repair. Recall consequence The adhesive bonding of the front panel might deteriorate, possibly causing the front panel to detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash. Recall action Mercedes-Benz dealer will remove the bonded panel and will install a new front panel by following the detailed repair instructions and using the approved primer, cleaner and adhesive, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 3, 2021 and October 26, 2021. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
The contact owns a 2014 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLA45. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the contact heard a grinding sound coming from underneath the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over safely but found no issues. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the rear differential to be replaced. The dealer changed the differential fluids but did not replace the rear differential. The contact drove the vehicle home and noticed that the vehicle was leaking fluid. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
While driving the transmission slips into neutral. Must come to a complete stop and turn off the car then turn it on again to shift into gear.
I was driving on the highway and the front panel in between the windshield and the sunroof detached from the car and went flying. Luckily there was no one driving behind me at the time. It was previously repaired in December of 2018. I did some research and saw that my make and model car had a recall issued for this type of incident if you had ever had this part repaired stating that it was done improperly. See: NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 21V197000 RECALL DATE: 2021-03-22 For some reason, my VIN is not included in the recall. I'm not sure why not since this exact incident happened to me. I contacted Mercedes-Benz USA and they are not helping and would not tell me why my car is not included in the recall.
Was driving on a road with 3 lanes .I was in the right lane was switching to middle when my stering and brakes just locked up I was not able to control the car I ended up all the way in the left lane crashed into a car and ended up on the divider
catalytic converter Got clogged up and car would loose power and not get enough air into engine and catalytic converter right next to the turbo under the heat shield would turn glowing red causing turbo to leak it’s fluids

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was not contacted. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed the adhesion had deteriorated and separated from the front panel. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, the contact was informed that remedy was not yet available. The failure mileage was approximate 94,800. Vin tool confirms parts not available.
Without warning , the vehicle started to shake uncontrollably and was unable to reach a certain speed without the tremors. Very unsafe to drive
My sister was driving across town and came across some uneven payment near a construction zone. She hit a small-medium sized pothole and it somehow triggered both the front and rear passenger airbags to deploy. There was no damage significant impact when it happened and no damage to the exterior of the car (tire, wheel, fender). It happened today (Saturday) so it was taken to a local independent repair facility. Will know more Monday. Parts available for inspection upon request, of course.
WHILE DRIVING THE OTHER DAY I OPENED THE SUNROOF WHEN IT SUDDENLY MADE A STRANGE SOUND AND STOPPED. WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE IT I NOTICED THAT THE LEFT SIDE WAS RAISED BUT THE RIGHT SIDE WAS DOWN. IT MADE A WHIRRING SOUND AND MOVED A LITTLE BUT REFUSED TO CLOSE. WHEN I GOT HOME AND LOOKED AT IT IT LOOKS LIKE THE WINDSCREEN HAS COME LOOSE AND LOOKS LIKE IT WAS PUSHED FORWARD AND BROKEN BY THE LINKAGE THAT MAKES THE ROOF GO UP. IT LOOKS LIKE THE LINKAGE IS BENDING FORWARD WHEN I SUSPECT IT SHOULD BEND BACKWARDS. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2016. SOMETIMES IT OPENED AND WHILE DRIVING I'M AFRAID IT MIGHT BLOW OUT INTO THE HIGH WAY. CAUSING AN ACCIDENT
WHEN I BOUGHT MY 2ND CLA, I HAVE NOTICED WHENEVER I AM DRIVING & TURN ON THE DRIVER'S HEATED SEAT, THAT IT ALWAYS BURN MY LEFT LEG, SO I WOULD ALWAYS TURN IT OFF. THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR QUITE SOME TIME. FAST FORWARD TO LAST NIGHT (2/20/21), I TURNED ON MY HEATED SEATS & I SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING THEN IT FELT LIKE MY LEG WAS ON FIRE. THIS TIME THE PAIN FROM THE BURNING WAS WORSE THAN THE OTHER TIMES. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED THE HEATED SEAT OFF. I COULD NOT TELL IF THE SEAT WAS GIVING OFF SMOKE BECAUSE IT WAS DARK. I NOTICED THE NEXT DAY THAT THERE WERE A HOLE IN THAT AREA ON MY DRIVERS SEAT WHERE THE PROBLEM OCCURRED. AFTER SEEING THE HOLE IN MY SEAT, I THANK GOD I TURNED THE HEATED SEAT OFF BECAUSE HAD I MOVED MY LEG FROM THAT BURNING AREA ON MY SEAT, IGNORED IT & KEPT DRIVING, I BELIEVE THE SEAT WOULD HAVE CREATED A FIRE! THIS MOST DEFINITELY SCREAMS A FIRE HAZARD, UNSAFE & SHOULD BE DEEMED AS A RECALL ON ALL MERCEDES.
WHEN ACCELERATING HARD TO OVERTAKE, THE ENGINE LURCHES, AND THE CAR FAILS TO ACCELERATE FURTHER AND SLOWS DOWN. THE ENGINE FAULT LIGHT THEN ILLUMINATES WHICH SWITCHED OFF BY ITSELF AFTER SWITCHING THE ENGINE OFF TWICE. IT SEEMS I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE COMMENTS TO THIS VIDEO DESCRIBING THE PROBLEM AND CLAIMING THE PROBLEM IS A FAULTY HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP: HTTPS://YOUTU.BE/-SBR28ZBOFS THIS SEEMINGLY COMMON ISSUE IS CLEARLY DANGEROUS AS DRIVERS LOSE THE POWER WHEN THEY ARE MOST DEPENDING ON IT AND IT SEEMS TO BE OCCURRING IN CARS THAT ARE NOT PARTICULARLY OLD.
WHILE DRIVING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY, A CAR PULLED NEAR MY CAR. AT THAT TIME, THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. MY WIFE HEARD THE PRE-COLLISION WARNING. THE THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUTOFF OR STALLED. TURNED OFF THE CAR COMPLETELY BY TURNING THE KEY. THEN TURNED THE CAR BACK ON. LUCKY THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT.
MY SON HAD TO BE CUT OUT OF THE SEAT BACK BECAUSE IT WAS TOO TIGHT AND WRAPPED AROUND HIM. THE SEATBELT STRAP WAS LOCKED AND WOULD NOT EXTEND OUT AT ALL TO LOOSEN FOR EXTRA LENGTH ON THE STRAP. THE SEATBELT STRAP WAS SO TIGHT MY SONS STOMACH WAS WAS CINCHED TO THE POINT WHERE HE COULDN'T BREATH. I'M NOT SURE WHY THE SUSPENSION ON THE STRAP WAS LOCKED EVERY OTHER SEATBELT HAD EXTENDED STRAP. THIS WAS A SCARY EXPERIENCE AND COULD HAVE SEVERELY HURT MY SON. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR THE PRICE I PAID FOR THIS VEHICLE AND NOT TO MENTION MY CHILD'S SAFETY. I DIDN'T TAKE ANY PICTURES OF THE STRAP AROUND MY SONS STOMACH BECAUSE HE WAS IN PAIN AND WAS FRANTICALLY TRYING TO GET IT LOOSE AND CUT. I HAVE PICTURES OF WHERE I HAD TO CUT THE SEATBELT. I ALSO HAVE A DEFECT WITH MY ELECTRICAL WHICH I CAUSING MY BATTERY TO DIE. THE CAR WILL STAY ON COMPLETELY WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION OR STARTED. I HAVE VIDEO OF THAT AS WELL. THIS IS COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS FOR A LUXURY VEHICLE. MY MAIN CONCERN IS THE SAFETY OF MY PASSENGERS ANDY SON SIMPLY UNBUCKLING A SEATBELT AND GETTING STRAPPED IN BECAUSE THE SUSPENSION OF THE STRAP WOULD NOT LOOSEN AND WAS LOCKED IS UNACCEPTABLE. I TRIED EVERYTHING TO PUTTING THE CAR IN DRIVE PRESSING THE BRAKE TO SEE IT THE STRAP WOULD UNLOCK AND NOTHING WORKED. MY SON WAS IN PAIN BECAUSE OF THIS DEFECT O HAD TO CUT THE SEAT BELT STRAP OFF FRANTICALLY. THIS IS NOT OKAY!
MY CLASS C 250 2014 VEHICLE. DIVING LONG DISTANCES ON THE INTERSTATE STARTED HEARING LOUD STATIC OVER THE SPEAKER SYSTEM. THE RADIO WAS NOT ON. THE NOISE TURNED INTO A LOUD SCREECHING/ STATIC NOISE FROM SPEAKERS WITH AN ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL FILLING THE CAR'S CABIN. I PULLED OFF-HIGHWAY, TURNED THE CAR OFF, THE NOISE/ BURNING SMELL DID NOT STOP. I LET THE CAR SIT FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR. AFTER THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF FOR 1 HOUR, THE NOISE /BURNING SMELL STOPPED. THIS HAS BECOME AN ONGOING ISSUE; I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE MERCEDES DEALERSHIP. THEY HAVE STATED IT COULD BE THE "STAR SERVICE" ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, BUT NO GUARANTEES; IN MY COMPLAINT, THERE WERE NO RECTIFYING OF ON ISSUE. MY FEAR IS ELECTRICAL FIRE, WHILE TRAVELING. I COMMUTE BY INTERSTATE DAILY.
I HAD A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON FOR A CRANKCASE VENT VALVE DEFECT ISSUE, THE PART IS $750 AND COSTS $1,950 WITH INSTALL. UPON IDENTIFYING THE ISSUE, I SPOKE TO THE PARTS DEPARTMENT AT MERCEDES AND THEY SAID THAT THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACING SO MANY OF THESE PARTS THAT IT SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THE C CLASS AND CLA CLASS. MOST ARE REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY SO IT HAS NOT RECEIVED A LOT OF FOCUS. MERCEDES IS CHARGING EXORBITANT RATES TO FIX AN ERROR THAT THEY KNOWINGLY IGNORE TO BE A SIGNIFICANT ISSUE.
