MY VEHICLE IS HAVING AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT STATES ACTIVE CURVE ASSIST MALFUNCTION. I KNOW THAT SOME OF THE 2016 GLE COUPES WERE INCLUDED IN A RECALL, BUT MY VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND I AM NOW EXPERIENCING ISSUES. THIS MESSAGE SHOWS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TURNING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLE63W4S. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE FAILURES AFTER BEING PURCHASED IN APRIL OF 2016. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE COOLANT INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. BIG ISLAND HONDA KONA (75-5608 KUAKINI HIGHWAY, KAILUA-KONA, HAWAII 96740, (808) 329-8101) REPAIRED THE ENGINE COOLANT SENSOR, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE SENSOR WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. FURTHERMORE, THE "CHECK BATTERY FOR KEY" MESSAGE DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE KEY FOBS WERE REPLACED THREE TIMES BY THE SAME DEALER. UPON TURNING THE IGNITION, THE TURN SIGNAL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FUEL CAP WAS DEFECTIVE AND THEY REPLACED THE FUEL CAP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO FORMAL DIAGNOSTIC TESTING PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE BY THE DEALER. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V272000 (SUSPENSION). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT THE PART FOR THE RECALL REPAIR WOULD NOT BECOME AVAILABLE ON THE ISLAND OF HAWAII FOR FOUR MONTHS.
