WHEN SHIFTING VEHICLE INTO REVERSE IT WOULD GO FORWARD A FEW FEET BEFORE GOING BACKWARDS. IF SHIFTING VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL, IT WOULD GO FORWARD INSTEAD. DRIVER'S FOOT WAS NOT ON ACCELERATOR PEDAL. PROBLEM WAS INTERMITTENT. TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP.*AK DEALER PERFORMED TESTS WITH FORD SCAN TOOL AND THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS FOUND/CONCERN COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. *TT
ACCELERATING FROM A STOP IN LOW GEAR AT 15 MPH, FELT A SLIGHT VIBRATION FOLLOWED BY A DEAFING LOUD/BANG EXPLOSION. DEALER NOT ABLE TO DIAGNOSE.
WHILE DRIVING, THE RIGHT REAR TIRE BLEW OUT, CONSUMER STATES THE SIDEWALL HAD DETACHED FROM THE TREAD AND HAD DISINTERGRATED, THERE WAS NO PUNCTURE IN THE TIRE, CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY TIRE SHOP THAT TIRE WAS BEYOND REPAIR, CONSUMER IS SEEKING FOR REIMBURSEMENT (MICHELIN SYMMETRY TIRE P225-60-16)*JB
WHEN VEHICLE IS IDLING AT STOP SIGN, AT A RED LIGHT, IN GEAR WITH FOOT ON BRAKES, VEHICLE WILL START ACCELERATING. CONSUMER HAS TO SLAM ON BRAKES TO KEEP VEHICLE FROM JUMPING FORWARD. ALSO, HAS TO TURN KEY OFF. BUT, THIS PROBLEM ONLY HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. *AK *YH
THE TRUNK OF THE VEHICLE WAS FULL OF WATER DUE TO A FAULTY SEAL, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS REPLACED BUT THE LEAK HAS REOCCURED. *YH
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION WHILE DRIVING 35MPH, THE PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYED, HOWEVER THE DRIVER AIR BAG DID NOT, CONSUMER WAS INJURED AND HAD TO MISS 47 DAYS OF WORK, FORD SEN CONSUMER A REFUSAL OF LIABILITY STATING THAT THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH IMPACT FORCE TO TRIGGER AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAD 190 MILES AT TIME OF INCIDENT, HOWEVER CONSUMER NO LONGER FEELS SAFE WITH IT, DEALER REPLACED THE CONTROL MODULE, NO REPRESENTATIVES EVER CAME FROM FORD TO INSPECT VEHICLE, TWO RECALLS, 00V27 AND 00V412, DEAL WITH AIR BAG PROBLEMS. *SLC
WHEN VEHICLE IS DRIVEN ON WET PAVEMENT REAR WHEELS HAVE NO TRACTION. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHIMMIED IN THE FRONT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHERE THE MECHANIC RE-BALANCED AND ALIGNED THE TIRES. THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTED AFTER BEING TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THIS WAS AN ON GOING PROBLEM SINCE THE BEGINNING OF PURCHASE. THE CONSUMER HAD AN ADJUDICATION TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. *AK THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN BACK TO THE DEALER ON MANY OCCASIONS FOR THE SHIMMY IN THE FRONT. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED ALL FOUR TIRES AND THE DRIVESHAFT ASSEMBLY. THE VEHICLE DEVELOPED AN OIL LEAK THAT WAS ALSO ONGOING, SO THE DEALER REPLACED THE OIL PAN/OIL PAN GASKET AND THE REAR MAIN CRANK SHAFT SEAL. THE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY HAD TO BE REPLACED AS WELL. WHEN THE WEATHER WAS COLD, THE HOOD WOULD NOT POP OPEN AND THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR DID NOT CLOSE PROPERLY. *SCC *JB
WHILE TRAVELING AT ANY SPEED AND USING BRAKES THERE WAS VIBRATION IN STEERING COLUMN. DEALERSHIP HAS EXAMINED VEHICLE, AND COULD NOT REMEDY PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / ATTACHMENTS.*AK
CONSUMER STATES THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE REAR TRACTION CONTROL, EVERY TIME THE PAVEMENT IS WET HE EXPERIENCES PROBLEMS AND HAS ALMOST BEEN IN 2 ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM.*JB

CONSUMER TOWED VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND CURRENTLY IT HAS WORKED. *AK THE MOTOR STARTED RACING FOLLOWING A LOUD NOISE, AND WENT OUT OF CONTROL. THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE A FACTRY DEFECT. *YH
TURNING SIGNAL STARTED TO FLASHING REALLY FAST, TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER AND COULD NOT FIND CAUSE. ENGINEER REPAIRED LIGHTS. CONSUMER STATED THAT SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT STOPPED WORKING RIGHT AFTER THEY FIXED TURN SIGNAL LIGHT.*AK
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 29MPH ON A HIGHWAY AND TRANSMISSION ACTED LIKE IT WANTED TO DOWNSHIFT. SPEED WAS WITHHELD. MECHANIC TOLD CONSUMER THAT COMPUTER FOR TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.*AK
DISCOVERED PROBLEM WHEN CAR WAS ON A LIFT, FOR COSMETIC WORK. WE DON'T KNOW WHEN BOLT FELL OUT. THE REAR END WAS JUMPING SIDEWAYS AROUND TURNS SINCE WE OWNED THE CAR, WE DIDN'T KNOW IT WASN'T NORMAL.. WE PUT 1000 MILES ON THE CAR IN THE PAST WEEK THAT WE OWNED THE CAR. *AK
VEHICLE HAS ACCELERATED 3 TIMES WHEN CONSUMER WANTED TO SLOW DOWN. APPLIED BRAKES, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO SLOW DOWN. FINALLY, HAD TO TAKE VEHICLE OUT OF GEAR TO SLOW DOWN. DEALER CANNOT FIND CAUSE. *AK
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES THEY FEEL SOFT. BRAKE PEDAL KEEPS GOING ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR. HAS HAD THEM WORKED ON THREE TIMES,AND THEY STILL NOT FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY.*AK

ON INCLINE VEHICLE WILL ROLL BACK FAST WHEN STEPPING OFF THE BRAKES. ALSO VEHICLE IS DIFFICULT TO SHIFT INTO GEARS. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK

RECALL NUMBER 01V227001 CONCERNING SEAT BELT BUCKLES. DEALER HAS NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO CORRECT RECALL PROBLEM. CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE WITHIN 2-5 BUSSINESS DAYS. CONSUMER COULD NOT LEAVE VEHICLE WITHOUT RENTAL CAR ASSISTANCE. BEFORE DEALER RELEASED VEHICLE, CONSUMER HAD TO SIGN A FORM RELEASING DEALER AND MANUFACTURER OF ANY FURTHER OBLIGATIONS. *AK
WHILE SLOWING DOWN TO STOP WITHOUT ANY INDICATION VEHICLE IDLES TO 40 MPH. CONSUMER DEPRESSED BRAKES WITH FORCE AND VEHICLE IDLED LOW. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
VEHICLE WOULD SUDDENLY ACCELERATE WHILE IDLING AT A STOP LIGHT/SIGN. HAD NO WARNING. WOULD NEED TO PRESS HARD ON BRAKES AND SHIFT/ TURN VEHICLE OFF. HAD BEEN TO DEALER AND MECHANIC WHO PLACED VEHICLE ON DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE. NOTHING WAS FOUND, EVEN AFTER BEING TEST DRIVEN.*AK
2001 GRAND MARQUIS HAS NO TRACTION ON WET PAVEMENTS FROM DEAD STOP. ON ALL 2002 GRAND MARQUIS THEY ADDED AS STANDARD EQUIPTMENT ALL-SPEED TRACTION CONTROL.FORD MOTOR CO. KNEW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR YEARS.*AK
RIGHT AFTER IT RAINED AND THE HIGHWAY WAS WET I WAS DOING ABOUT 30 MPH AND PUT THE CAR IN PASSING GEAR TO PASS ANOTHER CAR, AND THE CAR WENT COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL.I LOST ALL TRACTION ON THE ROAD AND ALMOST WENT INTO A DITCH.THE VEHICLE HAS NO TRACTION ON WET PAVEMENTS.*AK

WHILE DRIVING IN SLEET AND SNOW DEFROSTER DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. DEFROSTER CAN BE ON, BUT DOESN'T CLEAR WINDOWS. PLEASE ADD VIN. *AK
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL ACCIDENT. THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAD DID NOT DEPLOY BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATED. THE RIGHT AIR BAG WAS REPLACED. THE SEAT BELT LEFT BAD BRUISES ACROSS THE CHEST OF CONSUMER. GOING 30 TO 35 MPH, CONSUMER WAS THROWN INTO THE STEERING WHEEL. A NEW SEAT BELT WAS INSTALLED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND IS OPERATING NORMALLY. *JG
CONSUMER TO LOSS CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY THAT THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR ARE DESIGNED TOO CLOSE TOGETHER, CONSUMER IS REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE LOSS OF THE VEHICLE. *YH CONSUMER HAS SINCE SOLD THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER.*JB

WHEN STOPPING OR BRAKING THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. *AK THE CONSUMER FELT THAT THE DEALER SHOULD REPAIR THE VEHICLE FREE OF CHARGE SINCE THE ORIGINAL DEFECT OCCURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. *NM
