THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON, AND WHEN THE DEALER CHECK THE AIRBAG SYSTEM, HE FOUND THAT THE OCS AND ACU SYSTEMS WAS DEFECTIVE. HOWEVER THE MANUFACTURER, NISSAN WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT OR REPAIR IT. *JS

THE BRAKE FEELS LIKE IT IS STICKING. WHEN YOU PRESS THE BRAKE AND RELEASE IT, IT FEELS LIKE IS IT IS NOT COMING BACK ALL THE WAY. ALSO, WHEN YOU PRESS THE BRAKE SOMETIMES IT STOPS OR SLOWS SUDDENLY OR FAST, AND OTHER TIMES IT IS NORMAL. *TR
BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ON, SO I TOOK TO DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP TELLS ME THERE'S A LEAK IN THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER AND IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. *TR
NO ACCELERATE AFTER BRAKE AT INTERSECTION. *TR
I RECENTLY DISCOVERED THE REAR SWAY BAR SNAPPED ON MY 2007 NISSAN ALTIMA. A LOOK AT THE BAR SHOWS IT WAS A CLEAN BREAK WITH NO SIGNS OF DAMAGE TO ANY AREAS AROUND THE BAR. A QUICK SEARCH ONLINE TURNED UP OTHER COMPLAINTS OF 2007 ALTIMA DRIVERS THAT SAY THEY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SWAY BAR SNAPPING IN THE SAME PLACE AND WITH NO SIGNS OF DAMAGE. IT APPEARS THERE IS A LARGER ISSUE AT HAND WITH THIS PIECE OF EQUIPMENT AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. *TR
REAR SWAY BAR SNAPPED. THIS CAR IS DRIVEN IN NORMAL WEATHER CONDITIONS AT NORMAL DRIVING SPEEDS,ON SMOOTH ROADS(TO SCHOOL AND CHURCH). HAVE NOT DRIVEN OVER ANYTHING OR HAD ANY COLLISIONS. THE BAR JUST SNAPPED ALL OF A SUDDEN( WE SAW IT HANGING OUT FROM UNDER THE CAR). *TR
RUST IS CAUSING PERFORATION THROUGH THE BODY OF CAR. NISSAN WON'T HONOR CORROSION WARRANTY. *TR
BRAKE LIGHT IN CAR WENT ON JUST PRIOR TO 25000 MILES, BROUGHT CAR IN FOR SERVICE WAS TOLD IT WAS PROBABLY THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER BECAUSE IT WAS RECALLED IN THE NISSAN SENTRA. RESULT WAS THAT IT WAS THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER, TOLD HAD TO REPAIR DUE TO IT BEING HAZARDOUS. HAD TO PAY OVER $600 FOR A REPAIR TO A PART THAT COMPANY ALREADY KNOWS IS FAULTY.

REAR SWAY BAR BROKE DURING NORMAL DRIVING / OPERATION. THE SWAY BAR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE BROKE THROUGH AT THE DRIVER'S SIDE BUSHING. THE BROKEN SECTION WAS EVENTUALLY OBSERVED DANGLING BENEATH VEHICLE CAUSING OBVIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS. THE EXACT MILAGE OF COMPONENT FAILURE IS UNKNOWN AS BAR LIKELY WAS SUPPORTED BY BUSHING FOR SOMETIME BEFORE BECOMING VISABLE. THIS SITUATION REALLY WARRENTS A RECALL IN MY OPINION. *TR
DRIVING ON I75S TRANSMISSION FAILED HAD CAR TOWED TO NEAREST NISSAN DEALER. IN 2013 DRIVING IN FLORIDA ON I10W AT TALLAHASSEE EXIT TRANSMISSION FAILED AND HAD CAR TOWED TO NEAREST NISSAN DEALER. THERE WAS 147,000 MILES ON ODOMETER. PAID $4,200.00 TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. NISSSAN REIMBURSED ME $2,403.00. OUTCOME I WORRY ABOUT WHEN WILL THIS TRANSMISSION GO. *TR
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IN MY 2007 NISSAN ALTIMA. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC WHO DID A DIAGNOSTIC AND SAID THAT IT WAS MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND I NEEDED TO REPLACE IT. I LOOKED ONLINE AND FOUND OUT THAT NISSAN HAD A RECALL ON THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER BACK IN 2007 BUT I NEVER RECEIVED IT. NOW THAT MY CAR HAS PASSED THE WARRANTY MILEAGE, THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. I FEEL THAT THEY ARE NOT CORRECTLY NOTIFYING CONSUMERS OF THEIR RECALL INFORMATION INTENTIONALLY SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS AND ALL THE BURDEN WILL THEN BE ON THE CONSUMER. I FEEL NISSAN SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THIS SINCE THEY KNEW THERE WAS A PROBLEM THE YEAR I BOUGHT MY CAR. *TR
BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON. ADDED BRAKE FLUID AND LIGHT WENT OFF. BRAKES BECAME INCREASINGLY MUSHY AND SOMETIMES IT APPEARED THAT BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK AT ALL AS BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALMOST TO THE FLOOR. FREQUENTLY HAD TO PUMP BRAKES WELL BEFORE INTERSECTION TO MAKE SURE I WAS ABLE TO STOP. TOOK TO DEALER AND SPENT $625.08 TO REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER. IT APPEARS THAT NISSAN HAS KNOWN OF THE DEFECT FOR SOME TIME AND ISN'T CONCERNED. *TR
BRAKE LIGHT IS ILLUMINATING. INVESTIGATION SHOWS THAT THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IS LOW. I HAVE FILLED THE BRAKE FLUID MULTIPLE TIMES BUT IT CONTINUES TO LOSE FLUID. THIS COMPLAINT IS BEING FILED BASED ON CAR FORUMS ON THE WEB THAT THERE IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH A FAULTY MASTER CYLINDER. THERE IS ALSO AN OPEN NHTSA INVESTIGATION FOR THIS ISSUE.

I CONTACTED COGGIN NISSAN AT THE AVENUES (904-880-3000), SPOKE WITH [XXX] IN THE PARTS DEPARTMENT, I EXPLAINED WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITH MY VEHICLE AND HE INFORMED ME THAT HE HAS SEEN QUITE A FEW CARS THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL AS MINE WITH THE SAME EXACT ISSUE. I STRONGLY FEEL THERE IS A DEFECT IN THIS PART SINCE SO MANY CARS LIKE MINE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THE DAY I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE AROUND DEC 2007, THE BRAKES WERE SQUEAKING. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM TOLD ME IT WAS JUST DUST ON THE BRAKES AND IT COULD BE WASHED OFF WITH A PRESSURE WASHER. THIS PROBLEM HAS NEVER BEEN SOLVED EVEN WHEN MY BRAKE PADS HAD BEEN REPLACED. I BEGAN TO HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH MY BREAKS A FEW MONTHS AGO WHEN EVERY TIME I WOULD PUSH ON MY BREAK PEDAL, THE BREAK PEDAL WOULD KICK BACK, CAR WOULD JERK, AND I WOULD HAVE TO REAPPLY THE BREAK PEDAL TO STOP/SLOW MY VEHICLE. I FINALLY TOOK IT TO MY NISSAN DEALERSHIP/SERVICE DEPT AND WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE'S MASTER CYLINDER HAD A LEAK AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND AN EXPENSIVE PRICE FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE SITTING AT A LIGHT, SHE HEARD A KNOCKING NOISE. THE CONTACT CHECKED THE OIL AND NOTICED THAT IT WAS EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY STATED THAT THE OIL COOLING ASSEMBLY HAD A LEAK AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
I NOTICED A LEAK ON THE GARAGE FLOOR AND A FLASHING ON/OFF OF THE DASH BOARD BRAKE WARNING LIGHT. I AM TAKING IT INTO THE DEALER TODAY TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. I HAVE A FEAR OF A MASTER CYLINDER AFTER READING ABOUT ALL THE COMPLAINTS FOR THIS MAKE/MODEL. CONCERN AS WELL DUE TO RECALL SUMMARY RESEARCH ABOUT THE DEFECT INVESTIGATIONS RELATED TO ALTIMA BRAKES. 2007 NISSAN ALTIMA INTERIOR BRAKE LIGHT KEPT COMING ON AND CARRIED THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER WAS FOUND TO BE LEAKING INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. MY 07 ALTIMA HAS A BRAKING PROBLEM. I PUSH THE BRAKES AT ANY SPEED AND IT HAS A RESIDUAL POP AND JERK. IT BEGINS TO SLOW DOWN AS NORMAL AND THEN IT SEEMS TO CATCH AGAIN AND IT WILL JERK AND BECOME A EXTREME BRAKE. I TOOK THE CAR TO MY MECHANIC AND THEY REPLACED THE PADS AND TURNED THE ROTORS INITIALLY AND BLED THE LINES. THAT DID NOT FIX IT. THEY THEN RECOMMENDED THAT I TAKE IT TO NISSAN AND I DID AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND I HAD THAT REPLACED AND THEY REALIZED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS LEAKING AND THEY WERE BOTH REPLACED BUT THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. MY MECHANIC CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IT IS AND IT IS A DEFINITE SAFETY HAZARD BUT I HAVE NO RECOURSE BECAUSE I HAVE TO GET TO AND FROM WORK. HE HAS ALSO CONTACTED NISSAN AND THEY TOLD HIM THAT IS NORMAL FOR THE ALTIMA'S. I READ THAT THERE ARE OTHER ALTIMA'S THAT HAVE A SIMILAR TYPE ISSUES. I JUST WANT THE ISSUE RESOLVED. I HAVE A DISCOUNT ON MY INSURANCE THAT INVOLVES MY GOOD DRIVING AND I CAN NOT APPLY THAT BECAUSE OF THE BREAKING ISSUE. I WAS TOLD WHEN I GOT MY OIL CHANGED AT AN EXPRESS OIL CHANGE THAT MY BRAKE FLUID WAS A LITTLE LOW AND TO KEEP AN EYE ON IT. WITH IN A COUPLE DAYS THE BRAKE LIGHT WAS COMING ON AND THEN IT WOULD GO OFF. IT WOULD DO THIS ON AND OFF EVERY TIME THE CAR WAS DRIVEN. TOOK THE CAR TO MOORE NISSAN IN BESSEMER, AL AND TOLD THEM OF THE PROBLEM. THEY CHECKED OUT THE CAR AND I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED REAR BRAKES AND THAT MY MASTER CYLINDER WAS LEAKING. THEY SHOWED ME THE LEAKAGE AND I INQUIRED AS TO WHAT WOULD CAUSE THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TO LEAK IN A CAR THAT IS ONLY 4 1/2 YEARS OLD. THE TECH SAID ITS ACTUALLY A COMMON ALTIMA PROBLEM. I SAID, REALLY. I HAD THE REPAIRS MADE. *TR
THERE HAS BEEN NO INCIDENT, BUT I HAVE A CONCERN OF FUTURE FAILURE. MY CAR IS LOSING BRAKE FLUID, AS I'VE HAD TO REFILL THE RESERVOIR PERIODICALLY WHEN THE DASH LIGHT ILLUMINATES. TODAY, THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THERE ARE NO EXTERNAL LEAKS IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM, SO IT IS LIKELY INSIDE THE MASTER CYLINDER. FIRST OCCURRENCE OF LOW BRAKE FLUID WAS AT ABOUT 75000 MILES. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE CORROSIVE FLUID MAY BE CAUSING DAMAGE THAT WILL LEAD TO A SUDDEN FAILURE IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM. I KNOW THERE IS AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION FOR THIS PROBLEM, SO I WANTED TO REGISTER MY CAR AS HAVING THE PROBLEM.
I HAVE A 2007 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH APPROX 42000 MILES. I NOTICED SOMETHING HANGING DOWN BEHIND THE REAR LEFT TIRE. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP I WAS TOLD THAT THE REAR SWAY BAR WAS SNAPPED IN HALF. THIS CAR HAS ONLY HAS ONE OWNER AND HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED AND NISSAN NEEDS TO MAKE THIS A RECALL, AS IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE, AND HAS BEEN REPORTED BY SO MANY PEOPLE!! *TT

AFTER THE BRAKE LIGHT WAS SPORADICALLY COMING ON AND OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING, I BROUGHT MY 2007 ALTIMA INTO THE DEALERSHIP. THE TECHNICIANS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER IS LEAKING. THE CAR HAS JUST OVER 27,300 MILES ON IT. THE MECHANIC TOPPED OFF THE FLUID AND ADVISED ME TO BRING IT BACK IN A FEW DAYS WHEN THEY HAD AN OPEN APPOINTMENT. I AM THE FIRST AND ONLY OWNER. *TR
BRAKE FLUID LEAKING INTO MASTER CYLINDER ON 2007 NISSAN ALTIMA . BRAKE WARNING LIGHT COMES ON IN CAR AND BRAKES ACTS AS IF IT DOESN'T WANT TO STOP. TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP SUTHERLIN NISSAN AND THEY EXPLAINED IT JUST NEEDED A NEW MASTER CYLINDER AND THERE WAS A LEAKAGE. NEVER MENTIONED A POSSIBLE RECALL OR ANYTHING. SAD THING IS 9 TIMES OUTTA 10 THEY WERE MOST LIKELY AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND STILL CHARGED ME TO DIAGNOSE THE SYMPTOM. THEIR GREED TO GET PAID 467.00 FOR THE JOB ITSELF , THAT THEY NEVER WENT INTO DETAILS OF WHAT COULD HAPPEN OR THE DANGERS OF CONTINUING TO DRIVE THE CAR, MAINLY WHAT THE CAR NEEDED. I GOOGLED THE ISSUE AND TO MY SURPRISE I WASN'T THE ONLY CONSUMER AFFECTED. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTICES ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND NOW WANTS TO KNOW WHY. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND DEEMED UNSAFE . I'M THANKFUL MY INSTANCES LED ME TO GOOGLE THIS ISSUE BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP NEVER MENTIONED IT. *TR
ON SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2011 I HAD TO HAVE MY MASTER CYLINDER REPLACED DUE TO LEAKING. THIS WAS IDENTIFIED AT THE MCCARTHY NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN OLATHE, KS AND REPLACED AT THE SAME LOCATION ON THE SAME DATE. *TR APPROXIMATELY THREE MONTHS AGO, NOTICED THAT MY EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT WOULD INTERMITTENTLY ILLUMINATE WHILE DRIVING. THIS WAS NOTICEABLE DURING ACCELERATION AND THE LIGHT WOULD GO OFF AFTER I LET OFF THE ACCELERATOR OR STARTED TO BRAKE. I HAD THE DEALERSHIP LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE WHEN I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE. AFTER THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKING WAS MUCH SMOOTHER AND MORE EFFICIENT. I HAVE KEPT MY VEHICLE WELL MAINTAINED SINCE OWNING THIS. BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE BEEN THE ONLY OWNER. *TR

I NOTICED AROUND 55K MILES THAT MY BRAKE LIGHT STARTED COMING ON INTERMITTENTLY. IT WOULD GO AWAY IF I PRESSED DOWN THE BRAKE, AND SEEMED TO COME ON MOST WHILE I WAS ACCELERATING. I NEEDED AN OIL CHANGE ANYWAYS, SO I TOOK IT IN AND ASKED THEM TO LOOK AT THE BRAKES AS WELL. THEY SAID MY PADS WERE FINE. EVENTUALLY THE LIGHT STARTED COMING ON MORE AND MORE UNTIL IT WAS ON MORE THAN OFF. I STARTED SEARCHING AROUND AND FOUND THAT THERE WERE A LOT OF 2007 ALTIMAS WITH MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER FAILURES WHERE THEY START TO LEAK. I WENT OUT TO MY CAR AND CHECKED THE BRAKE FLUID, IT WAS JUST ABOVE MIN. I STOPPED OFF ON THE WAY HOME FROM WORK, PURCHASED SOME DOT 3 FLUID, TOPPED IT OFF, AND THE BRAKE LIGHT HASN'T BEEN ON SINCE. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THOUGH, BRAKE SYSTEMS ARE CLOSED SYSTEMS MORE FLUID SHOULD NOT NEED TO BE ADDED. I WILL MONITOR IT TO SEE IF THE FLUID LEVEL GOES DOWN, BUT IT APPEARS THAT I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS EVERYONE ELSE WITH THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER PROBLEMS. PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT WARNING THAT AIRBAG IS OFF WHEN PASSENGER IS IN THE SEAT. DEALER CANNOT FIX SINCE THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE IT. I HAVE IT ON VIDEO WHILE THE CAR WAS DRIVEN AND PASSENGER IN THE SEAT. I WONDER IF OTHER OWNERS COMPLAINED. I HAVE THIS PROBLEM FOR SOME TIME.
BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKING FLUID - REQUIRES TOPPING OFF EVERY FEW WEEKS (2-4 WEEKS, 200 MILES). NO LOSS OF PRESSURE AS OF YET (HAS NOT DROPPED BELOW MINIMUM). *TR
SCANNED VEHICLE CODES WERE: P1715, P1574 AND P720. ALL THREE CODES ARE FOR THE TRANSMISSION SPEED SENSORS. PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SPEED SENSORS. BOTH WERE REPLACED BECAUSE OF BURNNING OR RUBBING DUE TO IMPROPER SPACING. NEW SPACERS WERE ADDED ALONG WITH NEW SENSORS. TOTAL COST FOR PARTS ONLY WERE- $445.13! ADDITIONAL FEES WERE THE LABOR AND SENSOR WASHER, BRINGING THE WHOLE INVOICE TO $762.83! THIS WAS A FAULT FROM THE MANUFACTURER. *TR
DISCOVERED TODAY THAT THE REAR SWAY BAR HAD SNAPPED JUST INSIDE OF THE RIGHT SIDE CENTER MOUNT. THERE IS RUST INSIDE THE HOLLOW SWAY BAR. I HAVE NOT HIT ANY POT HOLES OR CURBS OR BUMPS THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS DAMAGE, NOR IS THERE ANY OTHER DAMAGE TO THE SUSPENSION. THE SWAY BAR APPEARS TO HAVE SNAPPED FROM BEING WEAKENED BY RUST. *TR
WAS ADVISED AT THE DEALER THAT THERE WAS A LEAKAGE AND THAT I COULD LOSE MY BRAKES IF I DIDN'T CHANGE THE MASTER CYLINDER, THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED, AND I NOTICED A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THE BRAKES AFTER THIS PROBLEM GETTING REPAIRED. *TR
AT 50,000 MILES, THE BRAKE LIGHT WARNING INDICATOR ON MY 2007 NISSAN ALTIMA 2.5S BEGAN INTERMITTENTLY ILLUMINATING ON THE DASHBOARD. UPON DEPRESSION OF THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE LIGHT WOULD TURN OFF. AT FIRST, THE WARNING LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE AGAIN AFTER ANOTHER WEEK OF DRIVING. HOWEVER, DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL WEEKS, THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY AGAIN AND AGAIN DURING DRIVING. NOW, IT IS ON ALMOST ALL THE TIME UNLESS I AM DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IS JUST NORTH OF "LOW." SO, PERHAPS REFILLING THE RESERVOIR WILL CORRECT THE ISSUE. ADDITIONALLY, MY PADS ARE FAIRLY WORN AND SIMPLY MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER, I HAVE SEEN DOZENS OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ONLINE THAT INDICATE THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER MAY BE FAILING, AND THAT IS MY CHIEF CONCERN. I HAVE NO DIFFICULTY STOPPING THE CAR AT THIS JUNCTURE. BUT, I HAVE NOTICED THAT, IF I DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL JUST BEFORE STARTING THE CAR, THE PEDAL DEMONSTRATES A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF MECHANICAL RESISTANCE. THE AMOUNT OF DEMONSTRATED RESISTANCE IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO THE DURATION BETWEEN ENGINE STARTS (E.G., IF THE CAR SITS FOR A FEW HOURS, THERE IS MINIMAL PEDAL STIFFNESS. HOWEVER, IF THE CAR IS NOT DRIVEN FOR THREE DAYS OR MORE, THE PEDAL IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DEPRESS UNTIL THE ENGINE TURNS OVER). I AM UNCERTAIN IF THIS IS A RELATED ISSUE, BUT IT IS WORTH MENTIONING. *TT

I AM THE OWNER AND SOLE OPERATOR OF A 2007 NISSAN ALTIMA 3.5SE WITH 37,000 MILES. THE REAR SWAY BAR SNAPPED WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN INTO A PARKING LOT UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE CAR IS VERY WELL CARED FOR AND HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVEN HARSHLY. FURTHER, THIS IS A PART THAT SHOULD, REALISTICALLY, _NEVER_ FAIL UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS; AND UPON DOING SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS MODEL AND YEAR OF MANUFACTURE. I HAVE TRIED TO REMEDY THE SITUATION WITH NISSAN DEALERS AND WITH NISSAN'S "CUSTOMER CARE" LINE WITHOUT SATISFACTION. THIS PART IS CLEARLY DEFECTIVE IN ITS MANUFACTURE AND SHOULD BE REPLACED AT NISSAN'S COST. BRAKE WARNING LIGHT DISPLAYED AT 48,000, INDICATING LOW BRAKE FLUID. TOPPING FLUID OFF IN MASTER CYLINDER, LIGHT WENT OFF. LIGHT REAPPEARED 2 MONTHS LATER. NOW ADDING BRAKE FLUID EVERY 2 MONTHS. INSPECTION REVEALS LEAKING MASTER CYLINDER. *TR
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW AND IT HAS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE VDC OFF AND SLIP LIGHT CAME ON. AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF, AND RESTARTING THE LIGHT WOULD GO OUT. THIS HAPPENED TWICE SO I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH NISSAN, WHILE DRIVING THERE IT CAME ON AGAIN. THE STATED THAT MY MASTER CYLINDER WAS BAD AND NEEDED TO REPLACED, THE COST WAS $620.00. THIS CAR WAS RECENTLY INSPECTED AND HAS NOT EVEN NEEDED NEW BRAKE PADS YET. I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT COMING ON EVEN WHEN TIRES HAVE CORRECT PRESSURE. I HAD TO PAY $ 50.00 TO HAVE IT RESET SO IT WOULD NOT STAY ON. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH THIS SEEMS LIKE A COMMON PROBLEM, THAT NISSAN IS DOING NOTHING ABOUT.

AFTER NOTICING MY BRAKE LIGHT COMING OFF AND ON AT RANDOM TIMES OF DRIVING I DECIDED TO HAVE THE ISSUE CHECKED OUT. I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM IS FROM MY MASTER CYLINDER LEAKING. I'M EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AT THE FACT THAT THE COST OF THE REPAIR IS SO EXPENSIVE. BRAKE BOOSTER WAS LEAKING INTO THE MASTER CYLINDER CAUSING REDUCED BRAKING EFFICIENCY AND POOR BRAKE OPERATION. BRAKES WERE ALSO CATCHING WHEN RELEASING THE BRAKE PEDAL FROM USE. LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVELS IN THE RESERVOIR WERE OBSERVED ALONG WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT DUE TO LOW FLUID LEVELS. WHEN FLUID WAS TOPPED OFF, THE ILLUMINATION LIGHT TURNED OFF, BUT BRAKE CATCHING PROBLEMS CONTINUED. DEALER REPLACED MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER AND THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. DEALER STATED THAT THE LEAK BETWEEN THE TWO COMPONENTS WAS THE ISSUE. I WAS CHARGED APPROXIMATELY $800 FOR THE REPAIR. *TR
