WHEN DRIVING THE CAR FOR A LONG DISTANCE (30 MILES) THERE IS A WHINING SOUND THAT STARTS AND THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE. IF THE CAR IS ALLOWED TO SIT AND COOL DOWN THE WHINING WILL STOP BUT START BACK AS THE ENGINE/TRANSMISSION HEATS UP. DURING THIS PERIOD THE CAR WILL LOOSE POWER AND NOT EXCEED 40 MILES PER HOUR. THIS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING THROUGHOUT THE CITY AND ON THE HIGHWAY
FLASHING SEAT BELT SIGN RELATING TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG KEEPS BLINKING AND NO ONE SITS IN THE SEAT. WILL THE AIRBAG ACTUALLY WORK IF IN A ACCIDENT? WHY IS THERE NOT A RECALL ON THIS AIR BAG SENSOR?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE WENT INTO SAFE MODE AND LOST POWER. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE LACKED THE FAN TO COOL THE TRANSMISSION, CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION TO OVERHEAT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
CVT TRANSMISSION CAUSING EXCESSIVE VIBRATIONS. IT SLIPS AND LURCHES CONSTANTLY. IT SHAKES WHEN ACCELERATING UNTIL 20 MPH, AND STARTS AGAIN AT 20-30 MPH. THIS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING ON ANY ROADS BUT IT IS ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE WHEN DECELERATING WHEN EXITING THE HIGHWAY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EAST TENNESSEE NISSAN (5496 W ANDREW JOHNSON HWY, MORRISTOWN, TN 37814, 423-799-3561) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 132,000.
THE TRACTION(SLIP) SYMBOL HAS BEEN ON FOR MONTHS CAUSING MY BRAKES TO SQUEAL REGARDLESS OF BEING ON THE BRAKES. TRANSMISSION HAS STARTED KICKING INTO LOWER GEARS WHILE TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE SPEED.
CVT, THE CAR JERKS, SHUDDERS, STALLS WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS! ENGINE REVS ON ITS OWN, READ ABOUT THE HORRIBLE NISSAN CVT WILL NEVER PURCHASE A NISSAN NOR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE! THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER LOCATED IN WESTERN, FLORIDA WHERE THE TECHNICIAN FAILED TO ADDRESS THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 12,000.
NHTSA TEAM, I AM FILING THIS SAFETY COMPLAINT REGARDING MY DAUGHTERS 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. HER VEHICLE HAS 94,000 MILES ON IT, AND THE CVT IS ACTING UP. THIS YEAR, THE VEHICLE'S CVT HAS GONE INTO THE FAIL-SAFE MODE AT LEAST THREE (3) TIMES WHILE ON INTERSTATE TRIPS. EACH TIME IT WAS DURING HOT WEATHER (SHE LIVES IN SOUTH CAROLINA) AND CAUSED HER TO RUN VERY SLOWLY ON THE INTERSTATE. THIS CREATED AN UNSAFE AND HAZARDOUS CONDITION. THE NISSAN DEALER IS SHARING THAT THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO INSTALL A TRANSMISSION COOLER. I THINK THIS IS MORE OF A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT IS CAUSING HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER CLIMBING A STEEP GRADE UPHILL, ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENT SANDWICHED BETWEEN TWO 18 WHEELERS ALSO GOING UPHILL ONE OF WHICH HAD TO SWERVE SHARPLY TO AVOID HITTING US. CVT TRANSMISSION LIKELY WENT INTO FAIL-SAFE MODE, SAME THING REPEATED MULTIPLE TIMES ON STEEP WINDING CLIMBS ON MOUNTAIN HIGHWAYS. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WITH ENGINE CUTTING OUT AND LOSS OF POWER. NISSAN HAS ISSUED CVT RECALLS AND EXTENDED WARRANTY ON MODELS UP TO 2010 BUT THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE IN THIS 2012 ALTIMA AND IN MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE CVT ON LATER MODELS. NHTSA SHOULD GET NISSAN TO EXTEND ITS RECALL/WARRANTY TO MODELS AFTER 2010 JUDGING BY THE MANY COMPLAINTS BEING REPORTED ABOUT THE SAME LOSS OF POWER ISSUE WITH THE CVT.
ALL 4 OF MY DOOR ACTUATORS ARE SUDDENLY NOT WORKING. THIS IS SAFETY HAZARD. NISSAN NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE WITH A POSSIBLE RECALL. ALL 4 SHOULD NOT GO BAD AT ONCE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LARRY H. MILLER NISSAN HIGHLANDS RANCH (91320 PLUM VALLEY LN, HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO 80129, (720) 907-0718) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEATING, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO REVERT TO LIMP MODE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A COOLING PUMP NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED TO COOL THE TRANSMISSION WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING OPERATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 126,000.
I have a 2012 Nissan Altima. Four years ago I drove from Sacramento, CA, to Reno, NV, with two friends in my car. As I was driving over the summit on Highway 80 my car started to lose power. This was extremely scary as the highway is only two lanes and since it was a Saturday there was a lot of traffic. I was driving in the slow lane and as my car continued to lose power and slow there was noplace to get off the road. I pulled onto the narrow sholder between the slow lane and the concrete barrier and my car came to a complete stop. Since there were cars whizzing by I was not able to open either the drivers side door or the passenger side door, which was inches away from the concrete divider. At this point I was shaking uncontrollably and in a panic I called Nissan of Sacramento to tell them what happened. The technician suggested that my transmission may have over-heated. He suggested that I wait for the transmission to cool and see if I was able to then make it to the nearest freeway offramp, which I did. After exiting the freeway we waited for an hour or so and were then able to proceed to Reno, NV. Once there, I took my car to a mechanic who checked the other systems and could find nothing wrong. Once back home in Sacramento I took my car to Nissan of Sacramento and was then informed that my transmission had burned and would need to be replaced. They contacted Nissan and were informed that there were no recalls and that I would need to pay for a new transmission out of pocket and the cost would exceed $4,700. After contacting Nissan myself, they informed me that they would not cover the cost of a new transmission. Since I am a retired, single senior citizen living on a fixed income, I have not been able to replace the transmission and subsequently have not driven more than 20 miles from my home. I have read that CVT Transmission problems are very common with Nissan Altimas. Why would they deny my claim when this is such a serious safety issue?
LOSE OF POWER CLIMBING STEEP GRADE AT HI ALTITUDE TRANSMISSION OVER HEATING. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.
INITIALLY EXPERIENCED LOSS OF POWER AROUND 30,000 MILES WHILE GOING 80 MPH ON INTERSTATE. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION AS THE ONLY OPTION IS TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TOOK IT TO DEALER BUT THEY COULDN'T REPLICATE OR FIND ANYTHING WRONG. VEHICLE CONTINUED TO RANDOMLY LOSE POWER WHILE AT HIGH RATES OF SPEED, AS WELL AS A LOUD WHINING AND HUMMING SOUND. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP 8 DIFFERENT TIMES AND STILL COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. WAS TOLD IF A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THAT WOULD HELP LOCATE ISSUE. CHECK ENGINE CAME ON DURING LOSS OF POWER ISSUE, AND DEALERSHIP STILL TOLD ME COULDN'T PINPOINT PROBLEM. THE MOST RECENT LOSS OF POWER IN JUNE 2018, I WAS NEARLY STRUCK FROM BEHIND BY A SEMI TRUCK TRAVELLING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED BECAUSE THERE IS NO WARNING FOR THE LOSS OF POWER AND THERE WAS NO WHERE TO PULL OFF TO. STILL AN ONGOING ISSUE, AND NISSAN REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM OR DO ANYTHING TO ASSIST.
I HAVE A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA. I HAVE ALREADY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION ONCE LAST YEAR WHEN THE CAR HAD 80,000 MILES ON IT. THE TRANSMISSION WENT WHEN TRAVELING ON A LONG TRIP, AFTER A HOURS WHEN GOING APPROX 65 MPH AND TRYING THE CAR FAILED TO ACCCELERATE. THE CAR THEN WOULD NOT GO OVER 40 MPH. THIS WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION ASTHERE WAS A TRACTOR TRAILER BEHIND ME, WHICH FORCED HIM TO SLAM ON BREAKS. VERY DANGEROUS AND SCAREY SITUATION FOR ALL INVOLVED. AGAIN THIS YEAR WHILE TRAVELING FOR APPROX 2 HOURS THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I HAD TO PULL OFF THE ROAD ON THE LEFT HAD SIDE TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE READ NUMEROUS OTHER INSTANCES WHERE THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED. SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED OR HAS ALREADY BEEN. THE 2ND TIME IT HAPPENED AT APPROX 99,000 MILES. I HAVE ALREADY CONTACT NISSAN AND AM GOING TO TAKE CAR FOR A DIAGNOSTIC, IF I AM ABLE TO GET IT THERE. I BELIEVE THAT OTHER CARS FOR OTHER YEARS HAVE ALREADY BEEN RECALLED DUE TO A CLASS ACTION SUIT. I HAVE BEEN DOING ALOT OF RESEARCH ON THIS CAR AND YEAR AND NUMEROUS OTHERS HAVE HAD SAME COMPLETE. VERY DANGEROUS AND DEADLY ACCIDENTS WILL OCCUR IF NOTHING DONE ON NISSAN PART. THERE IS NO WARNING THAT ANYTHING WILL HAPPEN. THE LIGHTS IN THE CAR DID NOT GO ON, AND EVEN AFTER PULLING OVER DID NOT GO ON
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE I HAD MY CRUISE ON FOR AROUND 35-40 MINS, GOT OFF MY EXIT AND NOTICED EVEN IF I MASHED MY GAS MY CAR WOULD NOT PICK UP SPEED, I PULLED OVER WHILE COASTING, SHUT IT OFF FOR AROUND 10 MINUTES, TOOK OFF AGAIN AND IT DONE FINE. THIS HAS BECAME A WEEKLY THING . I'VE CALLED WITH QUESTIONS AND NO ONE CAN HELP ME!!!!
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN MY TRANSMISSION MISFIRED- MY VEHICLE LOST POWER AND WENT FLAT AT 60MPH. I WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE ABOVE 60MPH FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TRIP AND THE CAR VIBRATED EXCESSIVELY QUITE A BIT.
WHEN I TOOK THE CAR UP TO 85 MILES PER HOUR AND I DROP SPEED AND I TRIED TO PICK SPEED BACK UP IT WOULDN'T LET ME GO OVER 40 MILES PER HOUR I HAD TO PULL OVER CUT THE CAR OFF AND THEN STARTED BACK UP AND THEN IT LET ME PROCEED TO GO WHERE I NEED TO GO AND IT ACTED NORMAL THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS IS HAPPEN
CVT TRANSMISSION ON THE NISSAN ULTIMA 2012 HAS BEEN HAD GIVEN ME A LOT OF PROBLEMS FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS. UPON SEEING REVIEWS ON THE INTERNET IN HEARING A LOT OF COMPLAINTS DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WITH THE NISSAN BALTIMORE FROME YES BEFORE THE 2012 MODEL UP UNTIL NOW THAT SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM WITH NISSAN DEALERS TO FIX THIS BROW WITH ALL THE ALTER MOST THIS HAVING A STRONG WITH FAULTY EQUIPMENT. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE BY LOSING POWER ESPECIALLY IF YOU ONLY IN A STATE WILL CALL SEVERAL ACCIDENTS DUE TO LOSING POWER TO UPGRADE AND WANTING NOISE IS JUST CREATES A BIG PROBLEM MOON IN A STATE IF YOU DRIVE-IN IN YOUR FEWER IN A MAJOR CITY WITH THE THE VEHICLE SLOWING DOWN WITHOUT YOUR CONTROL.
CVT TRANSMISSION HAS WENT OUT. I WAS DIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR SLOWED DOWN AND WOULDN'T GO PAST 20 MPH. NISSAN STATED THAT TRANSMISSION IS GONE AND A NEW ONE IS NEEDED. $4000. SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY PREVIOUS CAR. 2010 NISSAN ALTIMA
WHEN I WAS DRIVING THE CVT STARTS MAKING NOISE, THE RPM GO UP TO 6,000 RPM THEN I LOOSE ENGINE POWER SUDDENLY SO THE CAR SPEED STUCK ON 40 MPH SUDDENLY AND DECREASE THE SPEED EVEN WHEN I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, WHEN I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL IT JUST MAKES NOISE AND INCREASE THE RPM AND THE NOISE BUT THE SPEED DON'T INCREASE, SO A CAR BEHIND ME CRASH TAILGATING MY CAR, I'M NOW WITH SERIOUSLY INJURIES, THE NISSAN CVT IS DEFECTIVE AND DANGEROUS, MY CAR ONLY HAS 96,000 MILES.
MY CAR STARTED MAKING A WHINING NOISE WHILE DRIVING IT. GOING UP THE HILL MY CAR ON A HIGHWAY IN THE DESERT WHEN THE SPEED DECLINED IT'S FROM 70MPH TO 45MPH, WHICH I TRIED TO ACCELERATE AND IT WAS STUCK ON 45MPH, AND ALMOST CAUSED THE CAR BEHIND ME TO CRASH INTO ME WITH MY THREE YOUNG CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEAT. A LOT OF COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN MADE AND NOTHING'S HAS BEEN DONE. WHAT DOES IT TAKE A LIFE TO BE TAKEN IN ORDER FOR A RECALL. THE TRANSMISSIONS ON THESE CARS ARE CRAP. EVERY TIME SOMEONE WALKS INTO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SEEM TO BE WELL AWARE BUT NO RECALL HE BEEN DONE.
I OWN A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA AND THE CAR WAS RUNNING GOOD UNTILL 70000. AFTER 70K MILE ITS STARTED MAKING TOO MUCH NOISE AND AT 80K MILES ITS LOSING POWER EVEN IF I RUN THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY.THE RPM WILL STATY AT 2500 AT THIS POINT.WHEN I RESEARCHED FOUND OUT THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS HAS DESIGN FALW AND MOST OF THE CVT TRANSMISSION HAS THE SAME ISSUE. I TOOK IT TO THE NISSAN DEALER AND THEY SAID I HAVE TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION.I CANT BELIEVE THAT NISSAN CARS LASTS FOR ONLY 70K MILES. THESE PROBLEMS ARE COMING WHEN I AM DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ALL OF A SUDDEN AND ITS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THIS CAR.
MY DASHBOARD APPEARS TO BE MELTING AND IS STICKY TO THE TOUCH. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN THEY SHOW NO CONCERN AS TO THE DASH BOARD MELTING OR ANY RESOLVE TO REMEDY THE ISSUE. IT CAUSES A BAD GLARE ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING INTO THE SUNLIGHT. I FEEL THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT IN MATERIALS.
THERE IS A CVT AND CVT COOLANT ISSUE IN THIS MAKE MODEL AND YEAR AND THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE OF PRIOR YEARS WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND NISSAN WILL NOT REPLACE IT. IT MAKES THE CAR SLUGGISH AND GO VERY SLOW UPHILL. IT IS NOT A DEFECTIVE CVT BUT THE CVT IN THE ORIGINAL MODEL. WE BOUGHT THIS CAR USED SO WE MAY HAVE GONE TO TRY TO GET THE RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE EARLIER BUT NISSAN IS SAYING THEY WON'T HONOR THE RECALL NOW BECAUSE IT HAS EXPIRED.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY AND AFTER TWO AND HALF HOURS OF DRIVING COULD NOT ACCELERATE PAST 45-50 MILES AN HOUR AND STUCK ON THIS SPEED EVEN WITH THE GAS PEDAL BEING PRESSED DOWN TO ACCELERATE. I HAD SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES WITH THIS ON THE HIGHWAY IN REGARDS TO ASCENDING HILLS AND HAD NEAR SERIOUS ENCOUNTERS WITH TRUCKS AND OTHER VEHICLES ON ALL INCIDENTS I HAVE HAD TO DRIVE MORE THAN THAT DURATION. I AM ON A WEBSITE CALLED CARGURUS AND HAVE A LOT OF NISSAN 2012 ALTIMA OWNERS WITH THE SAME YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL HAVING EXACTLY THE SAME TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE. I HAVE CALLED NISSAN ABOUT THIS AND THAT THEY SHOULD DO A QA OF THEIR CALL LOGS AND CHECK OTHER COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS AND ALL THEY COULD SAY IS "THERE IS CURRENTLY NO RECALL ON YOUR VIN". INFORMED THEM ABOUT MEDICINE AFTER DEATH NOT POSSIBLE AND PROBLEMS LIKE THIS WITH FREQUENT COMPLAINTS BY CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AND NOT IGNORED TILL PEOPLE START DYING BEFORE THERE IS A NEED TO FIX THIS OR ISSUE A RECALL. THE GEAR BOX AND CV AXLE BASED ON WHAT I HAVE READ MAY BE THE CAUSE OF THIS. I AM NOT A TECHNICIAN BUT THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. EVERY TIME YOU ARE IN A CAR ON THE HIGHWAY ON LONG DISTANCE JOURNEY WITH THIS CAR YOUR LIFE IS ON A LIVE WIRE BECAUSE OF THIS GEAR BOX ISSUE. WHILE DRIVING, OR WANTING TO DRIVE AFTER COMING TO A STOP, THE ENGINE RPMS WILL INCREASE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS PRESSED (UP TO RED LINE), BUT THE CAR TRANSMISSION DOES NOT RESPOND UNTIL, SUDDENLY, THE CAR LUNGES FORWARD. THIS CAN HAPPEN FROM A COLD START, AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, AFTER A QUICK STOP AT A BUSINESS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STILL WARM, ETC.
WHEN DRIVING IN WARM WEATHER FOR 1.5 HOURS OR MORE CVT TRANSMISSION LOSES POWER AND MAKES A WHINING NOISE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE REGARDING THESE TRANSMISSIONS AND NISSAN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON VEHICLES UP TO 2010 BECAUSE OF IT. TRANSMISSION SAYS IT IS OVERHEATING AND PUTS ITSELF INTO "SAFE MODE" THEREBY LOSING ALL POWER AND ABILITY TO ACCELERATE ON HILLS, ETC. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED DUE TO THE SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER AND ACCELERATION.
CVT TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED. 6 YEARS OLD. LESS THAN 120,000 MILES. STOPPED AT REDLIGHT, COULD NOT PULL OUT OR REVERSE, CAR WOULD ONLY GO 3-5MPH. CAR ENGINE RUNS FINE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA EQUIPPED WITH SUMITOMO TOURING LST TIRES, TIRE SIZE: 215/60R16, AND UNKNOWN DOT NUMBER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE PASSENGER FRONT TIRE STARTED VIBRATING UNCONTROLLABLY. UPON INSPECTING THE VEHICLE THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE TIRE WAS BULGED AND THEN EXPLODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.
WHILE DRIVING, EITHER WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL OR WITHOUT, THE ENGINE RPMS WILL QUICKLY BOUNCE BETWEEN HIGH RPMS AND LOW RPMS THOUGH THE SPEED OF THE VEHICLE DOES NOT CHANGE AT ALL. THE ENGINE IS REVVING FASTER, BUT THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE ENGAGED. THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY.
THE VEHICLE WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR WITH ITS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
I HAVE A STICKY, SHINY, MELTED, REFLECTIVE DASHBOARD CAUSING A PROBLEM WITH SAFELY OPERATING THE VEHICLE BECAUSE I CANNOT SEE OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD DUE TO THE REFLECTIVE GLARE. THIS IS HAD A GRADUAL ONSET AND IS GRADUALLY WORSENING. NISSAN TOOK RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS DEFECT IN 2007-2009 MODELS BUT IN MY CASE NISSAN REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS DEFECT IN MY CAR.

CODES ARE : BCM; TRANSMISSIONS FAULT 4; IPDM E/R FAULT 3. THIS IS RIDICULOUS, I WILL BE TAKING IT INTO FORT WORTH NISSAN ON SATURDAY 3/17/2018 TO DETERMINE IF IT IS FAILING AGAIN, IT BEING ONLY 9,000 MILES LATER.

VEHICLE JUST LOST ALL POWER WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY HIGHWAY. NO POWER AT ALL, ALMOST TAIL ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT SWIRLED INTO EMERGENCY LANE TO AVOID HITTING ME. VEHICLE FINALLY STARTED AND WOULD BARELY ACCELERATE, I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO WORK. I LIVE OVER AN HOUR FROM WORK AND NOW I'M SCARED TO DRIVE HOME ON THE INTERSTATE. THERE ARE NUMEROUS POSTS ABOUT THIS, I FOUND WHILE TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED, SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE BEEN IN NEAR MISS ACCIDENTS DUE TO THE EXACT SAME REASON AND HAVE REPORTED THIS BUT NISSAN IS MAKING NO EFFORT TO FIND AND FIX THE PROBLEM.
