LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WAY TOO QUICKLY, BECOME UNSAFE DUE TO WELL KNOWN FAULTY MANUFACTURER DEFECT. FAULTY PART MAY BE CALLED "REFLECTOR". LIGHT OUTPUT QUALITY IS NOT SAFE! NEITHER THE RIGHT OR LEFT HEADLIGHT PROVIDE ENOUGH LIGHT TO SAFELY OPERATE MY VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT. THIS IS A WELL KNOW ISSUE! YET, NISSAN HAS NOT ISSUED A SAFETY RECALL??? HOWEVER, THIS NISSAN MANUFACTURE WELL KNOWN SAFETY DEFECT WILL BE FIXED THROUGH NISSAN FOR THE OBSCENE COST OF APPROXIMATELY $1000. DISGUSTING, SAD, AND UNACCEPTABLE! AFTER RESEARCHING, THERE ARE MANY, MANY DRIVERS, MYSELF INCLUDED, THAT HAVE BEEN FORCED TO FILE COMPLAINTS WITH THE NHTSA. UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME, I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE HIGH AMOUNT OF CUSTOMERS HAVING TO SPEND SO MUCH MONEY TO FIX A PROBLEM NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT?? I PURCHASED NEW HIGH QUALITY REPLACEMENT BULBS, HAD HEADLIGHTS RE-AIMED, AND HAD HEADLIGHT COVERS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED. NOTHING HELPED!! AFTER RESEARCHING, IT APPEARS THE WELL KNOW ISSUE IS A FAULTY PART ENCLOSED INSIDE OF THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. I BELIEVE IT IS CALLED A "REFLECTOR"? I HAVE WASTED $200 FOR NEW BULBS, RE-AIMING, AND HAVING LENSES CLEANED. THIS AGAIN, IS FLAT OUT DISGUSTING. HAD NISSAN INFORMED ME OF THIS DEFECT, I WOULD NOT HAVE WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY. I ALSO SUFFERED SEVERE FRUSTRATION WHEN ALL THAT I TRIED DID NOT HELP. ALL THE WHILE NISSAN KNEW I WAS WASTING MY TIME, MONEY, AND WELL BEING. PLEASE HOLD NISSAN ACCOUNTABLE. A LESS VIGILANT DRIVER MAY NOT REALIZE THE DANGEROUS SITUATION THEY ARE DRIVING IN, AND... THANK YOU NHTSA!
THE STEERING WHEEL IS VERY LOOSE AND THE CAR IS HARD TO KEEP STRAIGHT. IT IS ALL OVER THE ROAD. IF YOU GET IN A GROOVE IN THE ROAD IT WILL ABOUT TAKE THE CAR AND CAUSE YOU TO LOSE CONTROL. I THOUGHT I HAD A PROBLEM SOMEWHERE ELSE BUT HAD EVERYTHING CHECKED AND IT IS THE STEERING. WHEN OTHERS RIDE WITH ME THEY ASK IF I'M OK BECAUSE OF THE CAR GOING SIDE TO SIDE. I AVOID THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE WITH SPEED INCREASE IT'S EVEN HARDER TO KEEP IN MY LANE. I NOTICED THE PROBLEM RIGHT AFTER GETTING THE CAR. TRIED TO IGNORE THINKING IT WAS ME, THAT I WAS NOT USE TO THE WAY A NISSAN HANDLED AS I HAVE NEVER OWNED ONE BEFORE. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. I HAVE READ AT LEAST 16 COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER NISSAN OWNER'S WHILE ON THE INTERNET TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE.
MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA HAS VERY DIM HEADLIGHTS MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT OR IN BAD WEATHER. DRIVING WITH THE BRIGHTS ON LOOKS MORE LIKE WHAT THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS SHOULD LOOK LIKE. I ALTER WHEN I DRIVE BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM, PROJECTING ONLY 2-3 FEET IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. REPLACING THE BULBS DOES NOT HELP. THE REFLECTIVE COATING ON THE PROJECTION LENS HAS WORN OFF CAUSING THE LIGHT BEAM TO NOT PROJECT WELL. THIS CREATES VERY POOR VISIBILITY AND IS A SAFETY HAZARD.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM. I HAVE TO DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS TO SEE SAFELY. THIS STARTED IN 2019 AND IS GETTING WORSE.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM
WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 35 MPH ON A PAVED ROAD AND HOOD UNLATCHED AND FLEW UP TO WINDSHIELD. CURRENTLY VEHICLE IS IN A REPAIR SHOP .
REPLACED TRANSMISSION AT 84000 MILES AT A COST OF $4100 BECAUSE OF SHUDDERING AND STALLING. AT 100600 MILES AND 11 MONTHS LATER THE TRANSMISSION FAILED THE EXACT SAME WAY AGAIN. NISSAN WOULD NOT COVER THE COST OF ANOTHER REPLACEMENT. IT COST ME ANOTHER $1050 WITH THE HELP OF THE DEALER AND NISSAN WHO KNOW THEY HAVE A TOTALLY FAULTY TRANSMISSION AND WON'T ACKNOWLEDGE. IT STALLED AND SHUTTERDAT A HIGHWAY INTERSECTION AND WAS A DANGEROUS PROBLEM. I AM LUCKY I WASN'T SMASHED INTO ON THE HIGHWAY.
THE HEADLIGHTS ARE PROGRESSIVELY GETTING MORE DIM OVER TIME. LIGHTS ARE DIM ALL THE TIME, NOT RELATED TO IDLE OR OTHER FUNCTIONS. MILEAGE IS 72. 000 MILES. NIGHT DRIVING IS HAZARDOUS. THE HEADLIGHTS ARE LIGHTING ONLY A FEW FEET IN FRONT OF THE CAR, NOT ILLUMINATING TRAFFIC SIGNS, DIFFICULTY WHEN MAKING TURNS AT A CORNER OR DRIVEWAY. I HAVE TO USE MY HIGH BEAMS AT NIGHT, THE HIGH BEAMS WORK FINE BUT ARE A HAZARD FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THIS IS NOW A SAFETY HAZARD THAT NEEDS IMMEDIATE ATTENTION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO PRODUCE ADEQUATE LIGHTING. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE LIGHTING ON MY CAR IS EXTREMELY DIM. I USUALLY HAVE TO RIDE WITH MY BRIGHT LIGHTS ON JUST TO SEE THE ROAD. WE TRIED CHANGING THE BULBS AND IT DID NOT HELP. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE AT NIGHT YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT SEE. IT HAPPENS ON EVERY ROAD EVERY DAY.
THIS IS THE SECOND TRANSMISSION ISSUE I'VE HAD IN LESS THAN A YEAR. THE CAR BEGAN SHAKING IN FEBRUARY AND STOPPED ON ME WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT. THERE HAVE BEEN NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS OR ANYTHING TO ALERT ME OF AN ISSUE. NOW THE CAR WILL HESITATE SEVERLY BEFORE SHIFTING GEARS. IF I TAKE THE CARE OUT OF PARK INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE, IT TAKES UPWARDS OF 30 SECONDS FOR THE CAR TO ENGAGE INTO THAT GEAR. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED AT HOME AND AT GROCERY STORES DUE TO THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION WHICH I'M NOW BEING TOLD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE HAD TO ENDURE RANDOM MOMENTS OF SHAKING AND EVEN FEELING AS IF THE CAR HAS DIED WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THERE HAVE BEEN NO INDICATOR LIGHTS REGARDING ANY ISSUES WITH THE CAR THE CAR IS LESS THAN 5YRS OLD AND IS A LITTLE OVER 100K MILES I HAVE BEEN HAVING TRANSMISSION ISSUES NOW FOR ABOUT ALMOST A YEAR.
THE TRANSMISSION IS DELAYED ONCE IT GETS TO 2000 RPM AND IS NOT CHANGING OVER
MY LOW BEAM LIGHTS HAVE PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN DIMMER. CHANGING THE BULBS DIDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM. IT IS BECOMING TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT.
ABOUT THREE YEARS INTO OWNING MY BRAND NEW 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA I BEGAN TO REALIZE HOW INCREDIBLY DARK THE ROADS WERE BECOMING WHEN I WOULD DRIVE AT NIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. I THOUGHT AT FIRST I NEEDED NEW PRESCRIPTION GLASSES BUT WHEN I BEGIN NEEDING TO USE MY BRIGHTS FOR REGULAR NIGHTTIME DRIVING IN THE CITY I KNEW THERE WAS A PROBLEM. THEN, BOTH MY BROTHER AND FATHER ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS POINTED OUT HOW DANGEROUSLY DIM MY HEADLIGHTS WERE. AFTER THAT, I KNEW IT WAS NOT JUST MY EYES SEEING DARKLY. I BEGIN TO DO RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE AND FOUND OUT THE HEADLIGHT BARREL UNIT CORRODES AFTER JUST A FEW YEARS OF OWNERSHIP IN THE NISSAN 2013 TO 2015 MODELS. I HAVE TRIED CHANGING THE HEADLIGHTS AND FOUND THIS TO BE USELESS, PROVING THE POINT OF OTHER OWNERS. IT IS INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING THAT IT IS INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING THAT SUCH INTEGRAL SAFETY/VISION FACETS OF MY CAR ARE USELESS. I FEEL COMPLETELY UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND I HAVE NORMALLY VERY GREAT VISION. IF MY CAR CAN'T SHINE LIGHTS IN FRONT OF ME, THAT IS A HUGE CONCERN, AND THIS ISSUE WITHIN THE ALTIMA MODELS CAN GET SOMEONE KILLED.
LOW BEAM LIGHTS ARE TOO LOW. IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEE AT NIGHT. I RECENTLY HAD THE LIGHTS REPLACED AS THEY HAD BLEW OUT. THE REPLACEMENT LIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY LIGHT. WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY I OFTEN TIMES HAVE TO TURN THE LIGHTS OFF AND TURN BACK ON AS IT APPEARS TO NOT BE ON. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE LIKE THIS. 2014 VEHICLE SHOULD NOT HAVE LOW BEAM ISSUES AS THE CAR DOES.
THE HEADLIGHTS ARE BARELY VISIBLE ON LOW BEAM AT NIGHT AND THE NEW BULBS WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE AT NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY KNOW THIS IS COMMON PROBLEM BUT THEY ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING TO FIX IT. THIS IS A VERY REAL SAFETY ISSUE FOR THE DIRVER , AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT
THE HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM. BULBS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND NO CHANGE IN LIGHTING. AT NIGHT THE LIGHTS ARE SO DIM THAT YOU CANNOT SEE IF ANYTHING IS IN THE STREET AHEAD. I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL I PULL BEHIND SOMEONE TO SEE IF THE LIGHTS ARE STILL ON. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS SAME PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THE BATTERY WAS LOW. REPLACED THE BATTERY AND NO CHANGE IN THE LIGHTING. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS. I HAVE NOT HAD AN ACCIDENT BUT SOMETHING IS BOUND TO HAPPEN TO SOMEONE SOONER OR LATER DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. I DON'T FEEL SOMEONE SHOULD BE INJURED OR KILLED BEFORE SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT THE PROBLEM.
MY CAR HAS HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. MY SMOG MECHANIC HAS CHECKED IT, HE STATED IT NEEDED A MASS AIRFLOW SENSER. HE INSTALLED IT. $$$$$$ LIGHT WENT OUT, CAME BACK ON IN A DAY OR TO. HE ORDERED ANOTHER ONE, SAME THING HAPPENED. I AM REALLY TIRED OF THIS. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW, ONLY HAS 68000 MILES ON IT. HELP ME OUT, WHATS THE PROBLEM. I NOTICED THAT ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THE DEALER HAS NO CLUE!!!!!! HELP ME PLEASE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AT A STOP LIGHT. THE ENGINE REVVED, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE DEALER (CROWN NISSAN OF DECATUR, 165 W PERSHING RD, DECATUR, IL 62526, (217) 615-1047) DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS INTERNAL TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER OPENED A CASE AND AGREED TO REIMBURSE THE CONTACT FOR 90% OF THE REPAIR COST. THE REPAIR WOULD CONSIST OF INSTALLING A RE-MANUFACTURED TRANSMISSION COVERED BY A 12 MONTH OR 12,000 MILE WARRANTY. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST THE MANUFACTURER BECAUSE THE RE-MANUFACTURED TRANSMISSION HAD A HISTORY OF FAILING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000. *BF UPDATE 2/20/19*JB
HEADLIGHTS GRADUALLY WENT DIM OVER TIME TO POINT OF BEING UNUSABLE. NEED TO USE HIGH BEAMS. REPLACING BULBS DOES NOT HELP. SAFETY ISSUE FOR DRIVER OF THIS VEHICLE AS WELL AS OTHERS THAT GET HIT WITH HIGH BEAMS.
CVT FAILED ON THE HIGHWAY WITH 90,500 MILES ON CAR. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT HIGHWAY SPEED THEN SUDDENLY SLOWED ALMOST TO A STOP. DEALER TRIED TO PERFORM THE CVT PROGRAMMING RECALL BUT SAID TRANSMISSION WAS SHOT. $4,500 TO REPLACE. ONE OWNER CAR ALL HIGHWAY MILES.
THE SUN VISOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE HAS MALFUNCTIONED. IT DOES NOT STAY IN ITS NORMAL UPRIGHT POSITION. IT HANGS ABOUT A QUARTER OF THE WAY DOWN AND MOVES AROUND DURING TURNS, MAKING IT EVEN MORE OF A SAFETY HAZARD THAN IT ALREADY WAS BECAUSE IN AN ACCIDENT OR A HARD BRAKING SITUATION, THE DRIVER IS GOING TO HIT THEIR HEAD ON IT.
DON'T HAVE TO REALLY SAY MUCH BECAUSE IT'S PRETTY MUCH ALL OVER THE INTERNET BUT THAT TRANSMISSION IS A PIECE OF JUNK!! IT WAS SLIPPING REPEATEDLY FROM AROUND 50,000-104,000 WHEN I GOT RID OF IT. IT WOULD ALSO STALL OUT (YES ON A CVT) FROM TIME TO TIME IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. IT GOT TO A POINT THAT I WAS SCARED I WAS GOING TO BE STUCK WITH A CAR WITH NO RESALE VALVE (BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION) AND OWE A $14,000 PAYOFF BALANCE WITH THE BANK. SO I TRADED IT IN AND GOT A F-150.I BELIEVE ALL JATCO TRANSMISSIONS SHOULD GO UNDER AN INVESTIGATION BECAUSE THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR AMERICAN ROADS.
THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON SHOWING THE AIRBAG FOR THE DRIVER IS NO LONGER WORKING. I THOUGHT THERE WAS A RECALL ON IT SINCE I HAVE HEARD AND READ ONLINE THIS HAS BEEN A COMMON PROBLEM. SAME WITH THE ENGINE LIGHT GLITCH I HAVE READ IS A COMMON PROBLEM WHICH DOESN'T ALLOW MY CAR TO ACCELERATE PROPERLY WHEN THAT LIGHT IS ON.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS DO NOT PROJECT ENOUGH LIGHT TO DRIVE SAFELY AT NIGHT. THIS ISSUE HAS GOTTEN WORSE OVER TIME FORCING THE CONSTANT USE OF HIGH BEAMS IN ORDER TO DRIVE AFTER DARK. DRIVING WITH LOW BEAMS CREATES A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE LOW BEAMS ONLY ILLUMINATE ABOUT A CAR LENGTH AND DRIVING CONSTANTLY WITH HIGH BEAMS ALSO CREATES A SAFETY HAZARD. I REPLACED THE BULBS 3 TIMES IN 3 MONTHS CHOOSING BRIGHTER BULBS EACH TIME, AS WELL AS BUYING FACTORY BULBS FROM THE NISSAN DEALER, BUT NOTHING CHANGED.
MY TRANSMISSION FAILED AFTER ONLY 85,000 MILES. I WAS STOPPED AT A HIGHWAY EXIT RAMP STOP LIGHT WHEN IT FAILED.
OVER THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAVE BEEN STEADILY DETERIORATING TO THE POINT THEY HAVE BECOME A SAFETY HAZARD. THE INITIAL THOUGHT THAT THE BULBS REQUIRED REPLACEMENT; HOWEVER, THIS HAS NOT REMEDIED THE ISSUE. THE HEADLIGHT LENSES ARE NOT YELLOWED OR FOGGED OVER, AND THE HEADLIGHT BULBS ARE BRAND NEW HIGH-QUALITY HEADLIGHT LAMPS. THERE IS NO OTHER KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE HEADLIGHTS. THE HIGH BEAM WORK WITHOUT ISSUE AND IT IS BECOMING MORE FREQUENT TO WHERE THE HIGH-BEAMS ARE NEEDED TO SUPPLEMENT NIGHTTIME LIGHTING IN AREAS WHERE LIOW BEAMS SHOULD BE MORE THAN SUFFICIENT. THE LOW BEAM LIGHTING IS AT THE POINT TO WHERE IT IS BECOMING A HAZARD TO ME AS THE DRIVER; BUT ALSO, IS BECOMING A HAZARD TO ONCOMING DRIVERS, AS THE USE OF HIGH-BEAM LIGHTING IS BEING USED MORE FREQUENTLY. THE BRIGHNESS OF THE LOW BEAM LIGHT DOES NOT CHANGE IF THE VEHICLE IS PARKED, STANDING, OR IN MOTION, AND THE DIM LIGHTING IS MOST HAZARDOUS WHEN DRIVING AROUND CORNERS OR ON DARK ROADS WITHOUT STREET LIGHTING. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN SEEN BY NISSAN OR A MECHANIC BECAUSE IT IS OUT OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD AND ESTIMATES TO INSPECT THE LIGHTING ISSUE BEGINS AT $80. A SIMPLE INTERNET SEARCH INDICATES THAT THIS IS A FREQUENT ISSUE, AND I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK OR INFORMATION THE NHTSA MIGHT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE ON THIS AND RELATED ISSUES.
HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM, CANNOT SEE TOO FAR AHEAD WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT
I UNDERSTAND AND AM EXPERIENCING A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH DIM HEADLIGHTS THAT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MANY ALTIMAS. THE HEAD LIGHTS ARE SO DIM NOW THAT IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE THE ROAD UNDER NORMAL NIGHT DRIVING CONDITIONS, AND IT IS MAGNIFIED DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER. I AM ALSO VERY CONCERNED THAT I'M NOT GOING TO SEE SOMEONE CROSSING THE ROAD WHICH I ENCOUNTERED, AND LUCKILY THE PERSON HAD REACHED THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD AS I WAS JUST ABOUT TO ENTER THE CROSSWALK! THERE IS NO QUESTION THAT THIS IS SAFETY ISSUE TO ALL DRIVERS OF ALTIMAS, THEIR PASSENGERS AND PEDESTRIANS. AS I HADN'T EXPECTED THIS PROBLEM I REALLY WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION TO IT UNTIL I READ AN ARTICLE THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE OF WHICH I AM CONFUSED AS TO WHY IT HAS NOT YET BEEN ADDRESSED. HEADLIGHT BULBS WORK BUT BOTH HEADLAMP ASSEMBLIES SEEM TO BE DEFECTIVE IN NOT LIGHTING UP THE ROAD. I HAVE READ THERE IS A ISSUE WITH THE BACKING IN THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLIES FAILING DUE TO HEAT FROM THE BULBS AND NOT PRODUCING PROPER LIGHTING.
BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM AND DO NOT PRODUCE ENOUGH LIGHT TO DRIVE SAFELY AT NIGHT. REPLACING THE BULBS MADE NO DIFFERENCE. HIGH BEAMS ARE OK.
AT 53,000 MILES THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NO LONGER FUNCTION.TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE REPLACED.AT ABOUT 130,000 MILES I NOTICE THAT WHEN HEADLIGHTS WERE ON LOW BEAM YOU COULD BARELY SEE THE ROAD AT NIGHT TIME.SO I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THI VEHICLE WHAT I FOUND OUT WAS ON NISSAN ALTIMAS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 2013 -2015 HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.YOU DO NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT LIGHTING ON LOW BEAM.YOU HAVE TO USE HIGH BEAM ON DARK ROADS.THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES.I HAVE HAD THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN MY LOCAL AREA NEW PORT RICHEY PUT IN THE EXACT BULBS CAR CAME WITH FROM FACTORY SAME ISSUE POOR LIGHTING ON LOW BEAM.I THEN HAD NISSAN DEALERSHIP PUT IN BULBS THAT I PURCHASED ON LINE THESE BULBS PUT OUT 8000 LUMENS AND THESE BULBS ARE LED BULBS.THE FACTORY NISSAN BULBS PUT OUT 1200 LUMENS AND ARE HALOGEN BULBS.BOTH SETS OF BULBS I GOT SAME RESULT INSUFFIECIENT LIGHTING ON LOW BEAM.THE NISSAN TECHNICIAN TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE BOTH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES AT A COST OF $700.00.I FEEL THESE HEADLIGHT LENS WERE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITHOUT QUESTION THEREFORE I FEEL NISSAN SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE PARTS.I HAVE RECEIPTS FROM DEALERSHIP FOR WORK PERFORMED.I HAVE ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AUTOLINE DEPT, AND FILED A COMPAINT WITH NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS.THIS IS A VERY HAZARDOUS SITUATION AND GOD FORBID SOMEONE WILL LOSE THEIR LIFE OVER SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
ISSUE WITH HEADLIGHTS BEING TOO DIM AND UNABLE TO SEE AT NIGHT. POLICE HAS STOPPED ME AND CONFIRMED THAT DRIVING THE CAR WITH THE DIM LIGHT MAKE IT NOT STREET LEGAL. NISSAN DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO FIX AND ONLY SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY.
WHEN DRIVING IN THE LATE EVENING OR NIGHT TIME,I AM UNABLE TO SEE THE STREET AHEAD OF ME WHILE DRIVING. MY LOW BEAM LIGHTS ARE VERY DIM. I NOTICED THIS ABOUT FOUR MONTHS AGO. MY VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAVE APPROXIMATELY 79400 MILES ON IT. I HAVE GOOGLED THIS SITUATION AND FOUND THAT THIS IS COMMON AMONG NISSAN ALTIMAS IN THIS TIME FRAME.
THE VEHICLE HAS DIM LIGHTING AND IS GETTING WORSE AS TIME GOES BY. IT IS DIFFICULT TO SEE AT NIGHT AND I USE THE HIGH BEAMS TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE DARK ROADWAYS AND SIGNS, WHICH CAUSES BLINDNESS TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE AND I BELIEVABLE THAT NISSAN WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OVER THIS. REPLACING BULBS DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE NOR DOES WARRANTY COVER THE COST.
HAVE HAD JERKING AND SHUDDERING PROBLEMS WHILE TRYING TO EXCEL, SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING MY CAR IN 2016. AT THAT TIME IT HAD APPROX.24,000 MILES ON IT, THE DEALERSHIP TOOK CARE OF THE TRANSMISSION ISSUE. I JUST RECENTLY TOOK IT BACK AGAIN WITH THE SAME ISSUE THE CAR HAD NO POWER WHEN TRYING TO EXCEL ONTO THE HIGHWAY ,AND WAS VERY HESITANT AND UNSAFE. THE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE COMPLETELY REPLACED! THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 43,000 MILES ON IT ,WHICH LEAVES ME VERY CONCERNED, AND WITH MY WARRANTY ALMOST UP. I AM VERY CONCERNED AS I SEE THIS IS AN OBVIOUS PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE, THAT I CONSIDER STILL NEW.
I HAVE HAD CONTINOUS TRANSMISSION SINCE I HAVE HAD MY VEHICLE. I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA 2.5SL. IT WAS REPLACED IN 2015 NEW TRANSMISSION BY THE DEALERSHIP. HOWEVER, AS RECENT AS MAY I HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES THAT RESULTED IN CVT GETTING FIXED. THEN IN JULY SIMILIAR ISSUE WHICH DEALERSHIP REPORTED THERE WAS AN UPDATE NEEDED ON MY CAR, A SELONID NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER SPENDING OVER 2,000 ON MY CAR IT IS STILL NOT FIXED. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON AND NOT ABLE TO ACCELARATE ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS HAS CAUSED A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE AND IS AN ONGOING ISSUE THAT NISSAN AND THE DEALERSHIP NEED TO ADDRESS. I AM REQUESTING REIMUBURSEMENT, EXTENSION OF WARRANTY, AND FOR MY TRANSMISSION CVT TO BE FIXED AND IF FURTHER ISSUES OCCUR NISSAN NEEDS TO COMPLY WITH FIXING IT.

HEADLIGHT COVERS---FRONT HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM (LOW LIGHT) THAT YOU CAN BARELY SEE AT NIGHT. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC TO CHANGE THE BULBS TO STRONGER BULBS TWICE AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE ISSUE IS THE LIGHT COVER, IT DOES NOT ALLOW LIGHT THROUGH. I KNOW OTHER OWNERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME THING, IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN A CITY OR LIT UP TOWN, I DRIVE WITH THE HIGH BEAMS ON WHICH IS ALSO NOT SAFE FOR OTHER DRIVERS. :(
The headlights are so dim that I have to use bright lights to see.
MY HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM I HAVE REPLACED THEM BOTH WHICH HAS NOT HELPED AND KNOW THEY HAVE BOTH WENT OUT AND I HAVE TO DRIVE WITH MY HI BEAMS ON AT ALL TIMES. WHICH PRIOR TO THEM GOING OUT I DROVE WITH HI BEAMS JUST TO SEE. VERY IN SAFE DRIVING CONDITIONS. I HAVE SPOKE WITH NISSAN REGARDING THIS AND THEY TELL ME THEY HAVE HAD NO COMPLAINTS REGARDING MY YEAR OR MODEL. BASICALLY THEY DON'T HAVE ANY CLUE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
THE LOW BEAM ON MY NISSAN IS LOWER THAN NORMAL AND IS HARD TO SEE THE ROAD AT NIGHT. I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY DRIVE WITH THE LIGHTS ON HIGH BEAM.
AIRBAG INDICATOR STAYS ON ON MY DASHBOARD WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED ON AND EVEN AFTER THE CAR IS IN MOTION OR IS IN STILL POSITION.
HEADLIGHTS ON LOW BEAM ARE SO DIM THAT NIGHT DRIVING IS UNSAFE. I HAVE TO USE HIGH BEAMS WHICH COULD BLIND AN ONCOMING DRIVER. NISSAN DEALERSHIP SAYS THERE ARE NO RECALLS AND THAT I COULD REPLACE THE LENS WHICH IS VERY EXPENSIVE.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ON MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM. DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. NEED TO USE HIGH BEAMS TO PROPERLY SEE THE ROAD. THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY RISK FOR MYSELF, FAMILY AND OTHER CARS ON THE ROAD. I'VE READ ONLINE THAT IT IS NOT A BULB REPLACEMENT ISSUE - BUT A LIGHT PROJECTOR ISSUE WITH THE DESIGN OF THE HEADLIGHTS. A SAFETY CONCERN THAT NISSAN SHOULD BE RECALLING TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE HEADLIGHTS.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS OVER A PERIOD OF TIME HAVE BECOME DIMMER AND DIMMER. WE REPLACED THE BULBS THINKING THEY WERE BURNED OUT. IT DID NOT HELP. AT NIGHT I HAVE TO RIDE WITH MY HIGH BEAMS BECAUSE I CANNOT SEE 1 FOOT IN FRONT OF MY CAR ON LOW BEAMS. IT'S LIKE DRIVING WITH THEM OFF. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE JULY 12, 2017. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO DRIVE AT NIGHT.
THERE IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE DIM HEADLIGHTS OF THIS 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA; IT SEEMS TO GET WORST AS THE CAR AGES TO THE POINT OF I CAN NO LONGER SEE AT NIGHT. OTHER DRIVERS STOP ME TO ASK IF I HAVE ON MY HEADLIGHTS. AS A RESULT, I HAVE TO CONTINUOUSLY DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS ON, WHICH COULD BE UNSAFE AND IMPACT ONCOMING DRIVER'S VISION.
CAN'T SEE WHILE DRIVING. HEADLIGHTS AWFUL. $700 PER SIDE TO REPLACE. DEALERSHIP SAYS BEEN A LOT OF ISSUES WITH THIS AND SAW A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT STARTED ONLINE.
I NOTICED LAST YEAR THAT MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WERE REALLY DIM, LITERALLY THE FOG LIGHTS ILLUMINATE FARTHER THAN THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS. I BOUGHT NEW BULBS THAT WERE LED AND MY HIGH BEAM LIGHTS ARE REALLY BRIGHT, HOWEVER THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS ARE STILL JUST AS THEY WERE BEFORE. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND FOUND THAT MANY NISSAN ALTIMA 2013-2015 OWNERS WERE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT, IF YOU CAN'T SEE WITHOUT YOUR BRIGHT LIGHTS ON!!! WHY HAS THERE NOT BEEN A RECALL DONE ON THE HEADLIGHTS YET???? SURELY SOMETHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS BEFORE THERE IS A TRAGIC WRECK BECAUSE A DRIVER CAN'T SEE TWO FEET IN FRONT OF THE CAR WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD.
