THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM AND NEW BULBS WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I REACHED OUT TO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER, THEY INFORMED ME TO CONTACT NISSAN. CONTACTED NISSAN AND THEY HAD NO SOLUTION FOR THE PROBLEM. I CAN NOT DRIVE THE CAR AT NIGHT. THIS PROBLEM STARTED WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS. ASKED ABOUT HAVING CAR REPAIRED AND NISSAN REPAIR QUOTED OVER $1000.00 AND NO GUARANTEE THAT IT WOULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.
My head lights are very dim and they often causes me to run off the side of the road and I can't see objects until they are right up on me.
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR WITH THE A/C ON AND IT WAS COOLING FINE, ONCE I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT THE SYSTEM START BLOWING HOT AIR. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHICH THEY PUT .5 OF FREON IN AND SAID THE A/C SHOULD BE FINE, BUT AFTER A FEW HOURS THE PROBLEM RECURRED.
WHEN ATTEMPTING TO OPEN FRONT DRIVER DOOR THE HANDLER DID NOT ALLOW ME TO OPEN THE DOOR TO GET OUT. I LEFT WORK DROVE MYSELF HOME, PUT THE CAR IN PARK TURN OFF THE ENGINE REACH TO OPEN THE DOOR THE HANDLER WAS LOOSE AND NOTHING HAPPENING, I COULD NOT GET OUT, SO I USE MY CELL PHONE AND CALL MY HUSBAND WHO WAS INSIDE THE HOME TO COME AND OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE SO THAT I COULD GET OUT..
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE AND ABS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF AND THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN SLOWLY TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER (UNIVERSAL NISSAN, 12785 S ORANGE BLOSSOM TRAIL, ORLANDO, FLORIDA 32837) WAS CALLED AND MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 31323934. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,000.
THE DOUBLE SAFETY FEATURE OF PRESSING THE BREAK TO START THE CAR BECOMES VOID WHEN THE CALIPER HAS AN ISSUE EVEN WITHOUT THE BRAKE LIGHT ENGAGING TO SHOW AN ISSUE. THE CAR IS TRICKED INTO THINKING THAT THE BREAK IS BEING PRESSED AND WILL ALLOW YOU TO START IT WITH JUST PRESSING THE START BUTTON. MY 8YR OLD WAS IN THE CAR PLAYING WHILE I WAS CLEANING IT AND WAS ALSO ABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN GEAR DUE TO THE MECHANICAL SYSTEM READING THAT THE BREAK WAS ENGAGED. THE CAR ALSO CONTINUES TO RUN AFTER THE KEY IS REMOVED AND YOU CAN DRIVE OFF WITH NO KEY IN THE CAR. I
I WAS DRIVING MY NISSAN ALTIMA HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP ON A BUSY STREET, SIMILAR TO A HIGHWAY AND IT KEPT STOPPING EVERYTIME I TRIED TO TAKE OFF. IT WOULD DRIVE AND TURN OFF I WOULD HAVE TO CRANK IT BACK UP AND IT WOULD DRIVE A BIT AND THEN ABRUPTLY TURN BACK OFF. I TOOK IT BACK THAT SAME DAY AND WAS ASSURED NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. THE NEXT MONTH I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT ON MY WAY TO WORK AND AS I PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN IT PULLED OFF A BIT AND JUST TURNED OFF AND WOULDN'T COME BACK ON. I LATER FOUND OUT IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION. MY CAR HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO RUN SINCE APRIL
SHORTLY AFTER THE FIRST YEAR THE CAR BEGAN HESITATING AND EVENTUALLY WENT ON TO COMPLETELY CUT OFF WHILE MY FAMILY AND I WERE TRAVELING. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. I DIDN'T HAVE THAT PARTICULAR PROBLEM FOR ANOTHER YEAR AFTER THE NEW TRANSMISSION. THE DEALERSHIPS WOULD ALWAYS SAY THEY COULD NOT SUPPLICATE MY CONCERN. THE PROBLEM PERSISTING. I'M AFRAID TO PULL OUT IN TRAFFIC BECAUSE IT STALLS, JERKS OR HESITATES. I WON'T ALLOW MY CHILDREN TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE IT IS JUST TOO DANGEROUS. BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE PAID TAKEN IT FOR DIAGNOSIS THE PAST 6 MONTHS. I'M TAKING IT YET AGAIN TOMORROW. I CANNOT FIGURE OUT THE PATTERN. IT SEEMS TO BE WORSE ONCE PAUSING AFTER A LONG DRIVE > 50 MILES. WHILE TRAVELING THIS WEEKEND, I PAUSED AT THE HIGHWAY OFF-RAMP AND IT WOULDN'T ACCELERATE BEYOND 15 MPH. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THIS TIME. I PULLED OVER AND CUT THE CAR OFF. IT DID FINALLY GO BUT THE RMPS STILL IDLED HIGHLY. THERE ARE SOME DAYS THE PROBLEM ISN'T PREVALENT AND THE DRIVE SEEMS SMOOTH. THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT SO DANGEROUS. I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THERE'S NO TRAFFIC BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO TURN OR PULL INTO TRAFFIC.
TRANSMISSION STOPPED WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC 4/28/18. I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. THE ENGINE SHUT OFF WHEN TRYING TO MOVE FORWARD OR IN REVERSE. I WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND ON EAST CHELTENHAM AVENUE IN MELROSE PARK, PA. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO FAULKNER NISSAN WHERE THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED DUE TO A CVT ISSUE. I WAS REIMBURSED FOR TOWING (REIMBURSEMENT WAS OFFERED BY NISSAN) AND I WAS GIVEN A LOANER VEHICLE WITH A NEW TRANSMISSION AT NO COST.
I WAS DRIVING ON A ROAD GOING APPX 35 MPH. STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, AND MY ENGINE SHUT OFF AND MY CAR DRIFTED. THE BRAKES WOULDNT EVEN WORK. MY RADIO AND LIGHTS REMAINED FUNCTIONAL. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT AND WHEN I PUT IT IN DRIVE OR REVERSE, IT SHUT DOWN AGAIN. THE ENGINE ONLY STAYED ON IN NEUTRAL OR PARK.
THE DRIVER SIDE COIL SPRING, WHICH IS PART OF THE FRONT SUSPENSION, BROKE. THIS PART USES ALMOST 3/8 INCH STEEL, AND WHEN IT BREAKS UNDER COMPRESSION, CAN CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE, AND POTENTIAL VEHICLE STABILITY ISSUES ON THE HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE INVOLVED IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD WITH 44000 MILES, WHICH IS NOT MUCH MILEAGE ON THIS VEHICLE. THIS PART SHOULD NOT HAVE FAILED AND IS CONSIDERED A DEFECT IN MY OPINION. WE WERE FORTUNATE THAT OUR VEHICLE WAS LOCAL, AND NOT ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THERE WAS NO TIRE DAMAGE WHEN THE SPRING SNAPPED. WE HAD A MECHANIC REPLACE THE SPRING WITHIN THE WEEK.
THE PASSENGER TIE ROD BECAME DISCONNECTED AT THE POINT WHERE THE INNER AND OUTER WERE BOLTED TOGETHER. BECAUSE I WAS STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AT 2:00 AM SATURDAY MORNING I NEEDED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP. THE OWNER WAS SURPRISED THAT I WAS NEEDING REPLACEMENT ON A 2014. AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE HE FOUND THAT THE BOLT WAS NOT SECURED AND BOLTED ALL THE WAY DOWN. BOTH SIDES NEED REPLACEMENT ALTHOUGH I CAN ONLY AFFORD TO FIX ONE SIDE NOW. HE DID EXPLAIN IT WAS A SAFETY HAZARD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ASAP. HE BELIEVED IT CAME THIS WAY FROM THE MANUFACTURER, BECAUSE TIE RODS LAST MUCH LONGER THAN 3-4 YEARS. I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET MAKING A LEFT HAND U TURN AT ABOUT 5 MILLED AN HOUR WHEN MY CAR CAME TO A STOP. THOUGHT MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. GOT OUT AT LOOKED AT MY FRONT TIRE THAT WAS TURNED TO THE LEFT AND COULD SEE THE TIE ROD SEPARATED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER (WOOD MOTOR COMPANY, 600 US-62, HARRISON, AR 72601) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ALL OF A SUDDEN WENT SO DIM TONIGHT DRIVING ON HIGHWAY...I ALMOST WRECKED 3 TIMES...IT IS LIKE DRIVING WITH NO HEADLIGHTS AT ALL....I EVEN STOPPED AT STORE TO CHECK IF THEY WERE ON. YES THEY WERE ON. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS.
Hi. 2014 Nissan Altima S Problem is whith Low Beam light. At dark time this are no lighting enough putting in risk driving at night time.
WHEN IN TRAFFIC COMING TO A STOP THE ENGINE WILL DIE. IT WILL RESTART OK BUT USUALLY DIES AS SOON AS PLACED IN REVERSE OR DRIVE. DEALER SAYS THE CVT TRANSMISSION IS DEFECTIVE AND IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.
THE HEADLIGHTS ARE TOO DIM TO DRIVE SAFELY AT NIGHT. YOU CANNOT SEE MORE THAN A FEW FEET IN FRONT OF THE CAR. HIGH BEAMS MUST BE USED TO SEE ON ROADS THAT HAVE NO STREET LIGHTS. I HAVE HIT MULTIPLE THINGS IN THE ROAD WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AT NIGHT DUE TO THE FACT THAT I CAN NOT SEE THEM UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE TO MANEUVER OUT OF THE WAY.
I PURCHASED MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA FROM A MAJOR CAR DEALERSHIP IN TALLAHASSEE, FL. MARCH 31, 2018. THE VERY DAY I TOOK THE CAR HOME I WAS LEAVING A FAMILY MEMBER'S HOME AND IT WAS NOTICED THE HEADLIGHTS WERE EXTREMELY DIM. A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS COMPLETED AT NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN THOMASVILLE, GA. ON THE VEHICLE. THE TEST YIELDED THE PROJECTORS WERE MALFUNCTIONING. I COMMUTE IN A CAR 80 MILES (TO/FROM WORK) 5 A DAY WITH HEADLIGHTS THAT HAVE LITTLE TO ANY PROJECTION FROM THE HEAD LIGHTS WHEN I USING THE LOW BEAM LIGHTING. WHEN IT RAINS MY ABILITY TO SEE THE LINES ON THE ROAD ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL I AM ABLE TO RETURN TO THE HIGH BEAMS. THIS IS SCARY FOR ME EACH NIGHT I AM DRIVING HOME GIVEN I AM A FEMALE DRIVING FROM WORK BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 1:00 AM AND 2:00 AM. IT WOULD SEEM THIS WOULD BE A PRIORITY TO REPAIR FOR THE SAFETY OF PERSON WHO HAVE PURCHASED THESE YEAR MODEL CAR. HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE WILL NEED TO BE PUT IN HARMS WAYS BEFORE A RECALL IS MADE TO REPAIR THIS APPARENT ISSUE?
WHEN TRYING TO START THE VEHICLE IT TAKES 3 OR 4 TIMES TO TURN OVER AND START I KNOW IT IS NOT THE BATTERY JUST GOT A NEW BATTERY WITH 60 MONTH WARRANTY.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH. HALOGEN, LOW BEAM (H11) BULBS ARE WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VEHICLE, BUT OT IS NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH. SWITCHING OUT THE HALOGEN FOR HID AND LED IS ALSO NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH. THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS ILLUMINATE UP TO 1 - 2 FEET IN FRONT OF VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT THE LOW BEAM IS NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH TO SEE WHAT IS IN FRONT OF YOU AND IS A SAFTY ISSUE.
THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AT AROUND 25,000 MILES WHICH THEY TOLD US TWICE BEFORE FINALLY REPLACING THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. THE CAR WOULD ROLL WHILE IN PARK AND STALL AFTER TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED NO ISSUES UNTIL NOW. AROUND 68,000 MILES THE CAR NOW HAS A SLIGHT HESITATION AND WILL STALL. TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND A CODE OF P0776 WAS THROWN. SERVICE IN FINE LIGHT NEVER CAME ON AND STILL ISN'T ON. TALKED TO A FEW SHOPS AND THEY ALL TOLD ME THIS IS THE THIRD MOST LOOKED UP CODE FOR NISSAN. NISSAN WARRANTY IS ONLY 1 YEAR AND 12,000 MILES ON THEIR TRANSMISSION. THAT MAKES NO SENSE TO ME EITHER WITH SUCH A SHORT MONTH AND MILEAGE AS WELL. NOW WE ARE HAVING TO POSSIBLY BUY ANOTHER TRANSMISSION FOR A CAR WITH ONLY 68,000 MILES WITH A PRETTY MUCH NEW TRANSMISSION. HOW DOES A TRANSMISSION GO OUT WITH ONLY 43,000 MILES ON IT. WITH THE ISSUES NOW THIS HAPPENED WHILE THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN. TO SUM IT UP THE GAS PEDAL HAD TO BE PUSHED TO THE FLOOR TO GET TO 70 MILES AN HOUR WHILE ON THE GA400.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KRAFT NISSAN (3277 MAHAN DRIVE, TALLAHASSEE, FL 32308, 1-850-576-6171) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES WERE FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,106.
MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA HAS 68,000 MILES. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ABOUT 60 MPH, MY CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN PUSHING THE GAS. THIS WAS VERY UNSAFE. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO ACCELERATE AGAIN. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT TO NISSAN. THEY TOLD ME THE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS BAD AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY ALMOST $4,000 TO REPLACE IT.
TOOK CAR IN FOR CVT RECALL ON 3/12/2018 , CAR WAS FINE BEFORE THE RECALL UPDATE WAS DONE, WHEN I PICK THE CAR UP IT VIBRATES ON ACCELERATION AND GOING DOWN HILLS WITH A LOCKING MOTION , THE CAR WAS DRIVING PERFECT UNTIL THEY DID THE RECALL UPDATE , DEALER CAN'T EXPLAIN WHY THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS AFTER RECALL OF CVT, CLEARLY IT CAUSE A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AFTER RECALL IS IMPLEMENTED
I STARTED EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH MY VEHICLE ABOUT A YEAR AGO. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR SEEM TO NOT CHANGE GEARS. I HAD TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE STREET, TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTART IT WHICH MADE THE VEHICLE TO WHAT I CALL "RESET". THIS DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN UNTIL MONTHS LATER. NOW MY VEHICLE FROM TIME TO TIME, WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE SEEM AS IF IT WILL NOT GO WHEN I ACCELERATE FROM A STOP IN TRAFFIC. I THOUGHT IT NEED TRANSMISSION FLUID. I DISCOVERED THAT IT REQUIES CTV TRANSMISSION FLUID AND CAN ONLY BE DONE AT A DEALERSHIP WHICH WAS NOT TRUE. MY LOCAL CERTIFIED TRANSMISSION REPAIR CENTER SAID THEY COULD PERFORM A DIAGNOSTIC FOR $99, WHICH WE DID. WE ARE NOW BEING TOLD THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT THIS WAS A PROBLEM ON MOST OF THE NISSAN ALTIMA'S. REPLACEMENT WOULD COST ABOUT $4,800. WHY HASN'T NISSAN RECALLED THESE VEHICLES AFTER SO MANY COMPLAINTS?
THE HOOD LATCH IS DEFECTIVE-HARD TO CLOSE AND BECOMES A HAZARD IF DRIVEN-AUTOMATICALLY POPS UP WHILE VEHICLE IS MOVING
THE HALOGEN PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM AS TIME GOES ON AND NEW BULBS DO NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. OTHER ALTIMA OWNERS REPORT THIS SAME ISSUE AND I SUSPECT THAT THE BOWL WITH REFLECTIVE COATING ON THE PROJECTORS IS BAD. THE HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM AND CAN ONLY ILLUMINATE LESS THAN 100 FEET. THE HIGH BEAMS DO NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE AS THEY ARE ONLY HALOGEN BULBS AND NOT PROJECTORS. ONE MUST DRIVE WITH THE HIGH BEAMS ON TO SAFELY SEE ON THE HIGHWAY AND ON DARK STREETS AND THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR SURROUNDING DRIVERS EITHER.

THE NISSAN USA MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOTIFY THE CONTACT BEFORE JUNE 1, 2018 TO DETERMINE IF THE PART WOULD BE AVAILABLE PRIOR TO THE VEHICLE BEING SHIPPED INTERNATIONALLY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
MY VEHICLE STOPPED ON THE HIGHWAY IN A BUSY EVENING TRAFFIC. FOR 10 MINUTES I WAS NOT ABLE TO DO, BUT SIT IDLE. AFTER THAT CAR STARTED BUT IT WAS JUDDERING AND SHAKING EVERY TIME I USED TO STOP AT RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. THE VIBRATIONS WERE VERY VIOLENT AND SCARY. EVEN, IN NEUTRAL, CAR ENGINE REVS UP TO 2K-3K RPM WITHOUT ACCELERATING. NISSAN COMPANY AND DEALER ARE NOT HELPING AND PUTTING MY LIFE IN DANGER AS I COULD HAVE GOT HIT BY ANOTHER CAR/ TRAILER.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SURGED AND THE GEARS FAILED TO PROPERLY CHANGE OVER, WHEN NEEDED. IN ADDITION, THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR KEPT ILLUMINATING. TEMECULA NISSAN (41895 MOTOR CAR PKWY, TEMECULA, CA 92591, 951-972-8400) WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE SEVERAL TIMES AND KEPT INDICATING THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR CAUSED THE SYSTEM TO ASSUME TO BRAKE AND ALSO CAUSED A POWER TRAIN MALFUNCTION. THE MANUFACTURER LATER SENT A TECHNICIAN TO PROVIDE FURTHER TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED NO SOLUTION OTHER THAN A SETTLEMENT WITH NO REMEDY FOR A PERMANENT REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
COMPLAINT INVOLVING LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS VERY DANGEROUS.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE TOO DIM TO BE SAFE. I'VE TAKEN THIS TO THE DEALER TWICE, AND EACH TIME BEEN TOLD TO TRY NEW BULBS. FOLLOWING THEIR ADVICE, BULBS HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE NOW, ONCE WITH HID, AND AGAIN WITH LED. BOTH OPTIONS GAVE VERY LITTLE TO NO INCREASE IN VISIBILITY. DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THE CAR AFTER DARK AS THE HEADLIGHTS ONLY PROVIDE LIGHT 10-15 FEET BEYOND THE FRONT BUMPER.
PASSENGER AIR LIGHT IS ON AND WON'T GO OFF. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THE AIRBAG. I HAVEN'T HAD NO ACCIDENT, BUT IF THIS SHOULD HAPPEN AND THE PASSENGER AIR BAG DOESN'T WORK. LOOK OUT NISSAN. YOU'LL NEEDS TO RECALL THESE AIRBAGS. I SEE NEARLY 700 COMPLAINT. *TR

TAKATA RECALL..... IT STATES WHEN YOU PUT THE VIN NUMBER IN THAT MY CAR WAS NOT IN THE RECALL. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE IN OUR LATE 70'S AND EARLY 80'S AND LOVE THE CAR, BUT ARE NOW AFRIAD TO DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE AIRBAGS. CAN YOU PLEASE HAVE THESE AIRBAGS REPLACED FOR OUR SAFETY. I KNOW THESE TAKATA AIRBAGS HAVE ALREADY BEEN RECALLED, WHY WAS MY CAR NOT INCLUDED? NISSAN DEALER STATES THAT THERE IS NO, TAKATA AIRBAGS. FOR MY SAFETY AND THAT OF MY HUSBAND. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY AIRBAGS REPLACED AND FREE FOR CHARGE, BECAUSE OF THE HASSLE THAT I'M GOING THROUGH.
MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA "SL" BROKEN SEAT FRAME. THE SEAT STARTED ROCKING WHILE DRIVING. THINKING IT JUST NEEDED THE SEAT SCREWS TIGHTENED, I WAS LOOKING FOR THE SCREWS AND FOUND OUT IT WAS THE SEAT FRAME AND THIS IS NOT A UNIQUE PROBLEM BUT HAPPENS WITH NISSAN PRODUCTS. THE SEAT MAY BREAK CAUSING THE BACK SUPPORT TO UNEXPECTEDLY RECLINE WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. HEADLAMPS ARE DIMMING AND NIGHT TIME DRIVING REQUIRES THE USE OF HIGH BEAMS. DEALER STATED THAT IT IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. ONLY OPTION IS TO REPLACE THE HEADLAMPS. VEHICLE HAS 52,600 MILES. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE WITHOUT GOOD ILLUMINATED VISIBILITY.
FRONT HEADLIGHTS VERY DIM AT NIGHT. CANNOT SEE ROAD.VERY POOR VISIBILITY. REPLACED BULBS AND IT DID NOT IMPROVE THE VISIBILITY.

CAN NOT SEE WITH LOW BEAMS ON. HIGH BEAM WORKS FINE BUT CAN'T SAFELY DRIVE WITH LOW BEAM ONLY.
A FEW MONTHS BACK I TOOK MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA, 4-CYLINDER TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP FOR A RECALL THAT WAS IN CONNECTION WITH RECALL WITH THE SOFTWARE OF THE TRANSMISSION OF SOME SORT. I DID NOT RECEIVE NOTICE BUT WAS ADVISED OF THIS RECALL WHEN I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO NISAAN TO GET SERVICES FOR AN OIL CHANGE. THE RECALL WAS COMPLETED. SINCE HAVING THE RECALL COMPLETE MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN HAVING TRANSMISSION ISSUES. AT TIMES I AM DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND THE CAR SHUDDERS AND LOSES POWER. I HAVE COME CLOSE TWICE TO AN AUTO COLLISION AS I AM SHIFTING LANES MY CAR COMPLETELY LOSES POWER AND DROPS SPEED WITHOUT MY CONTROL WITH HE RPM DROPPING DRASTICALLY BUT REGAINING WITHIN SECONDS. THE CAR JERKS AND SHUDDERS. I HAVE HAD ANOTHER FAMILY TEST AS WELL AND HAS SAID THAT THE CAR IS UNSAFE AND SOMETHING IS WRONG. I RESEARCHED AND SEE A MULTITUDE OF COMPLAINTS IDENTICAL TO MINE TO THIS PARTICULAR YEAR AND MODEL. I AM TAKING TO THE DEALER TO HAVE DIAGNOSTIC COMPLETE AND HAVE EXPLAINED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS FINE PRIOR TO THE SOFTWARE ADJUSTMENT WITH THE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY ARE NOT SURE IF THIS IS THE ISSUES AND POSSIBLY I WILL GET STUCK WITH PAYING WHATEVER REPAIRS. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNFAIR TO THE CONSUMER HAVING TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A TRANSMISSION DEFECT THAT THOUSANDS OF NISSAN OWNERS ARE HAVING THE ISSUES AND NOTHING SEEMS TO BE DONE TO REMEDY THIS UNSAFE VEHICLE. I WOULD LIKE INVESTIGATION TO BE DONE ON THIS AND IN THE EVENT THAT WHILE I AM DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND THIS OCCURS CAUSING AN ACCIDENT I WILL HOLD THE MANUFACTURER AT FAULT FOR ALLOWING THIS VEHICLE TO GO UN-REPAIRED FOR A FAULTY TRANSMISSION THAT THOUSANDS OF CONSUMERS ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT AS BEING A "LEMON OF A CAR" AND "UNSAFE." THE DATE THIS ISSUE LAST OCCURRED WITH ME DRIVING MY VEHICLE WAS AROUND 8:30A.M. ON JANUARY 5, 2018.

UNDER 50,000 MILES, CVT PROBLEM REQUIRING THE TRANSMISSION TO BE REPLACED
LOW BEAMS ON HEADLIGHTS NO LONGER LIGHT UP ENOUGH TO SAFELY DRIVE ABOVE 25 MPH. THEY HAVE PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE OVER TIME. IT IS A KNOW FACT THAT THE FILM INSIDE THE PROJECTOR LENS IS FAILING, BUT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. HOW MANY ACCIDENTS OR EVEN DEATHS NEED TO OCCUR BEFORE THIS WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF. MY CAR ONLY HAS 50,000 MILES ON IT, SO IT WOULD BE CONSIDERED A LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE.
CHANGING (OR EVEN UPGRADING) THE LIGHT BULBS HAS NOT IMPROVED NIGHT VISION. THE DIM LIGHTS ARE A SAFETY HAZARD TO THE PEOPLE IN MY CAR AND TO OTHERS ON THE STREET.
MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM AND I HAVE TO DRIVE WITH BRIGHTS ON JUST TO SEE AT NIGHT. THIS IS A REAL SAFETY CONCERN. I HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS TWICE WITH LED AND HID AND THEY HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM.
THE HEADLIGHTS ON LOW BEAM DOES NOT PRODUCE ENOUGH LIGHT TO SEE THE SIDES OF THE ROAD OR ANY OBJECT WITHIN 5 TO 10 FEET IN FRONT OF CAR. REPLACED BULB WITH UPGRADED BULBS AND IT DID NOT HELP. VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. I CAN'T DRIVE WHEN IT IS RAINING TO HARD TO SEE. THIS IS ONLY WITH THE LOW BEAM. THIS HAS BECOME WORSE OVER TIME. I BROUGHT THIS CAR NEW. I HAVE LESS THEN 100000 MILES.
HOOD LATCH IS HARD LOCK. AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON.
MY 2014 ALTIMA'S LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM THAT IS NOT SECURE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. CHANGING THE BULBS DON'T FIX THE PROBLEM.
