I'VE HAD MY SUNROOF REPLACED BACK IN 2014- 10 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING MY 2014 ALTIMA BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING RAIN WATER INTO MY VEHICLE. FAST FORWARD TO NOW, IT'S STILL LEAKING WATER INTO MY VEHICLE AND NOW I'M SEEING REPORTS OF SPONTANEOUS SHATTERING OF THE SUNROOFS. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT MINE SHATTERING WITH MY TODDLER IN THE VEHICLE.
WE PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW IN LATE 2013. OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS WE HAVE HAD DIMNESS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT. HAVE CHANGED BULBS FOR BOTH SIDES WITH NO SUCCESS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. LIGHTS REMAIN DANGEROUSLY DIM... SO MUCH SO THAT WE NEED TO USE THE BRIGHTS TO SEE AT NIGHT. READING OTHER COMPLAINTS THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY RECALL ISSUE ON THE ALTIMA WHICH SHOULD BE ADDRESSED.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON TODAY. TOOK MY CAR TO BAKER NISSAN DEALERSHIP FOR THEM TO PUT IT ON DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE. I WAS CHARGED $135. NO WORK WAS DONE SINCE I AM OUT OF WARRANTY AND EXTENDED WARRANTY. THEY TOLD ME THE ENGINE WAS MISFIRING. TWO CODES APPEARED P0304 AND P0300. IN ORDER TO REPLACE 1 IGNITION COIL IT WAS $357 FOR PARTS AND LABOR. TO REPLACE ALL 4 IGNITION COILS AND SPARK PLUGS IT IS $1023.
Low beam head lights are not bright enough. I have replaced the bulbs 2 times, but no improvement at all. it is dangerous to drive with this light at nights.

RECALL TO REPROGRAM CVT DONE 10/4/17 AT NISSAN. 12/6/17 VEHICLE BEGAN RAPIDLY DROPPING SPEED WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY WITHOUT ME APPLYING BRAKES. VERY DANGEROUS SINCE THERE WERE NO BRAKE LIGHTS TO ALERT OTHER VEHICLES BEHIND ME TO DECREASE SPEED. TURNED HAZARDS ON & MADE IT TO SLOW LANE, THEN SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. IT WOULDN'T GO BACK INTO DRIVE FOR 15 MINS. ONCE I COULD IT DRIVE AGAIN, IT CONTINUED TO HAVE DECREASED SPEED. AT TRAFFIC LIGHT IT WOULDN'T ACCELERATE IN DRIVE & I HAD TO WAIT AWHILE BEFORE IT DID. DROVE TO MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS & THEY SAID IT SHOULD BE TAKEN TO NISSAN. HAD TO BE DRUG ONTO A FLATBED TO BE TOWED A VERY SHORT DISTANCE SINCE IT WOULD NO LONGER SHIFT INTO DRIVE, REVERSE OR NEUTRAL. SERVICE ADVISOR AT EAST CHARLOTTE NISSAN SAID IT NEEDED NEW TRANSMISSION & GAVE A $4,200 QUOTE. HE SAID THIS WAS KNOWN ISSUE WITH CVT TRANSMISSION, MANY WITH LESS THAN 30,000 MILES BUT THOSE WERE STILL UNDER MANUFACTURER WARRANTY. HAD NEW NISSAN FACTORY REMANUFACTURED TRANSMISSION INSTALLED (THEY SAID IT HAD TO BE A CVT BECAUSE VEHICLE WON'T TAKE ANY OTHER TRANSMISSION) WHICH ALSO FAILED AFTER JUST ONE WEEK. THEY SHIPPED & INSTALLED ANOTHER ONE & IT HAS BEEN DOING OKAY FOR 2 WKS NOW. FORUMS SIGHT MANY DRIVERS WITH SIMILAR SYMPTOMS & DANGEROUS INCIDENTS WHILE DRIVING & SAY THE 'NEW' CVTS FAIL AGAIN WHICH HAPPENED TO ME. NISSAN SHOULD BE FORCED TO RECALL THIS DEFECTIVE TECHNOLOGY THAT'S DANGEROUS TO DRIVER SAFETY. NISSAN SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COST OF THE RECALL AS OWNERS HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO REPLACE TRANSMISSIONS, A HUGE REPAIR. IT COST ME $3,600 AND I WILL RETAIN MY COPIES. THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE TECHNOLOGY, NOT JUST IN THE ALTIMA. THEY DON'T HAVE AN ALERT ON NHTSA WEBSITE TO WARN CONSUMERS AGAINST BUYING THEIR UNSAFE VEHICLES. THIS REQUEST IS TO PREVENT FATALITIES NOT THAT AN ACCIDENT OCCURRED IN MY CASE.
WITH PASSENGER SITTING IN PASSENGER SEAT WITH SEAT BELT ON, THE LIGHT IS ON THE DASH AT VARIOUS TIMES, WHEN IN PARK AS WELL AS WHEN DRIVING, THE AIR BAG IS OFF. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES TO REPORT THIS ISSUE, BUT IT CONTINUES TO OCCUR.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO SECRET CITY CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (1005 OAK TURNPIKE, OAK RIDGE, TN), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. WHILE COMING TO A STOP, THE CAR SHOOK TO A STOP , ENGINE REVVED UP AND SHUT OFF.. I WAS AT A BUSY STOP LIGHT INTERSECTION. I TURNED CAR ENGINE BACK ON AND PRESS THE GAS PEDAL , THEN CAR SHUT OFF AGAIN. I TRIED ONE MORE TIME AND WAS ABLE TO STEER CAR INTO PARLOR. WE ARE AFRAID TO DRIVE CAR, HAD IT TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. THE MECHANIC HAS THE VEHICLE GOR 18 DAYS AND CANNOT GET IT TO DUPLICATE OUR PROBLEM. I GOLFED THIS PROBLEMS AND THERE IS A NATIONWIDE PROBLEM WITH CARS THAT GAVE THIS TYPE OF TRANSMISSION. THE CAR COULD SHUT DOWN AND CAUSE ACCIDENT AND WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PROVE THAT THE ENGINE TURNED OFF. PLEASE HELP, THIS IS DANGEROUS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE, IT SURGED FORWARD AND THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER (SUPERIOR NISSAN OF CONWAY, 1090 COLLIER DRIVE, CONWAY, AR 72032), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS BEING INVESTIGATED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS WITH THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ACTIVATED, THE LIGHTS FAILED TO PRODUCE ADEQUATE ILLUMINATION. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE BULBS WERE FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (AUTO LENDERS, 6201 BLACK HORSE PIKE, EGG HARBOR TWP, NJ 08234, 888-305-5968) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A MINOR ADJUSTMENT WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
THE PROJECTORS IN THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES HAVE FAILED AFTER A COUPLE YEARS. THE LOW BEAMS ARE SO DIM THAT WE CAN BARELY SEE AT NIGHT TIME. WE HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS WITH NUMEROUS DIFFERENT BULBS AND THE BULBS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM, IT IS THE PROJECTORS IN THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES. AS CAN BE FOUND ONLINE, THIS IS SOMETHING THAT IS HAPPENING A LOT WITH THE 5TH GENERATION ALTIMA. A RECALL NEEDS TO BE ISSUED AS THIS IS VERY CLEARLY A SAFETY RELATED PROBLEM IF YOU CANNOT SEE AT NIGHT. THIS IS A MANUFACTURING AND DESIGN FLAW.
TAKANA INFLATORS. RADIO GOES ON AND OFF WHEN I TURN IT TURNS ON AND STAYS ON FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN SHUTS OFF.
TAMARA RECALL- MY AIR BAG SENSORS SUPPOSEDLY HAVE BEEN REPLACED BUT I STILL OCCASIONALLY GET THE ISSUE WHEN SOMEONE IS SITTING IN MY PASSENGER SEAT.
AIR BAG LIGHT WON'T TURN OFFF
THE HEADLIGHTS ESPECIALLY THE DRIVER SIDE I CAN BARELY SEE FROM. I THOUGHT HEADLIGHT WAS OUT OF ADJUSTMENT AND GOT IT CHECKED AND THEY SAID IT APPEARS TO BE A FLAW WITH THE REFLECTORS. I CAN NOT SEE ANYTHING HARDLY FROM THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT. I HAVE TO DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS ON. ALSO AFTER SEARCHING THIS TYPE OF ISSUE I FOUND THAT SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE.
TRANSMISSION "INTERNAL FAILURE" DETERMINED BY NISSAN MECHANIC ON 3 YEAR OLD ALTIMA AND NISSAN IS USING LOOPHOLE TO GET OUT OF TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT. I'M OVER ON MILES SO THEY WON'T PAY FOR IT. IT'S 3 YEARS OLD! THIS CAR STALLED ON HIGHWAY 30. I WAS TOTALLY FREAKED OUT. WHEN I TRIED TO GO IT ROLLED BACKWARDS AND ALMOST HIT THE CAR BEHIND ME. CARS WERE FLYING BY ME HONKING AND PEOPLE YELLING AT ME. THIS CAR IS THREE YEARS OLD! APPARENTLY THERE ARE MANY MORE LIKE IT OUT THERE AND NISSAN IS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEM! THEY WANT $4196 TO REPLACE IT OR A NEW CAR FOR MORE PAYMENT, SALES TAX AND INSURANCE. I'M RACKING UP RENTAL CAR COSTS AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $89 FOR DIAGNOSTICS WHEN I ALREADY HAD IT DONE AND TOLD THEM IT NEEDED A TRANSMISSION! THE NISSAN CONSUMER COMPLAINT LADY, THE SERVICE GUY, THE MECHANIC AND THE SALES GUY AT SUNTRUP NISSAN ALL AGREED THAT THIS TRANS MISSION SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE OUT AT 3 YEARS OLD. THEY HAVE EXTENDED THE WARRANTY ON SOME ALTIMA'S BUT NOT ON MINE! SUNTRUP NISSAN HAS MY CAR NOW. IT WILL NOT GO AT ALL. I ASKED FOR EITHER THEY PAY FOR THE TRANS OR PUT ME IN A NEW CAR AT SAME PAYMENT EVEN WITH HIGHER INSURANCE AND SALES TAX. THEY WON'T DO EITHER AND I HAVE TO PAY THE $89 DIAGNOSTICS. TERRIBLE FOR A REPEAT CUSTOMER. THIS IS MY 3RD NISSAN - 2 OF WHICH I BOUGHT FROM NISSAN SUNTRUP!
THE CVT TRANSMISSION IS STUTTERING BETWEEN GEARS, HAS HESITATION, VIBRATIONS, AND DOES NOT SHIFT PROPERLY. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A NISSAN DEALER ON 11/15/2017 WITH 76K MILES AND THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED TO CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID. I HAD THEM CHANGE THE FLUID AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS WORSE. THE PROBLEM GOT A LITTLE BETTER, BUT NEVER WENT AWAY. IT NEVER GENERATED A CODE FOR A SPECIFIC PROBLEM, BUT THE SERVICE ADVISOR SAID THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION THINKING IT IS IN OVERDRIVE AND NOT REACTING PROPERLY. IT IS NOW A YEAR LATER AND ANOTHER 30K MILES AND THE TRANSMISSION IS STILL STUTTERING WITH VIBRATIONS AT EVERY SPEED AND EVEN ON CRUISE CONTROL.
"TAKATA RECALL" NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET, AND I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO HAPPEN, SO COULD YOU PLEASE FIX THE PROBLEM. I'D RATHER BE SAFE THAN SORRY.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS OVER TIME ARE EXTREMELY DIM. ILLUMINATION IS NOT ADEQUATE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. THIS IS REPORTEDLY A MANUFACTURING DEFECT IN THE PROJECTOR NOT THE BULB DIMMING OR BURNING OUT. VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. THE INTERNET IS FILLED WITH SIMILAR COMPLAINTS SO MY VEHICLE IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT.

ACCORDING AIR BAG CLAIM DOCUMENTS MY VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH FAULTY TAKADA AIR BANGS. NO RECALL HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

THE HOOD POPPED OPEN AND FLEW UP WHILE DRIVING, DAMAGE TO THE FENDER ON BOTH SIDES, ROOF AND HOOD. NISSAN RECALLED ALTIMAS THREE TIMES IN THE PAST TO REPAIR HOOD LATCHES THAT CAN CAUSE HOODS TO FLY OPEN HOWEVER THERE IS NO RECALL CAMPAIGN ASSOCIATED WITH ENCLOSED VIN NUMBER. DAMAGES WERE HANDLED BY INSURANCE COMPANY.

THE AIRBAG'S LIGHT CAME ON SHOWING A DEFECT IN IT.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, at night the low-beam headlights were extremely dim. The contact used the high-beam headlights to properly see the roadway. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was recommended to replace the headlights with newer LED lights. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
THE VEHICLE CONTAINS DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS MADE BY THE TAKATA CORPORATION.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND DRAINED THE TORQUE. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
CVT TRANSMISSION FAILURE , I TOOK VERY GOOD CAR THE CAR THROUGH THE DEALERSHIP THAT I BOUGHT IT NEW FROM. I FOLLOWED ALL MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS. THE CAR IS 3 YEARS OLD AND THE TRANSMISSION JUST QUIT ON ME NO WARNING JUST DONE. IT WILL COST ME 4500$ OUT OF MY POCKET TO FIX. THE DEALERSHIP HELPED ME FILE A COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN USA TO HELP. THE ANSWER FROM NISSAN WAS WE CANT HELP YOU WITH YOUR TRANSMISSION BUT WE CAN OFFER $1500 FOR A NEW NISSAN. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE THESES CVT TRANSMISSIONS ARE CONSISTENTLY FAILING ON NISSANS. AS THE CONSUMER WE ARE GETTING FINANCIALLY KILLED BY THIS. ACTION IS REQUIRED AGAINST NISSAN THEY KNOW THERE IS A ISSUE YET THEY ARE STILL ALLOWED TO SELL AND NOT STAND BEHIND A MAJOR PART OF THEIR VEHICLES. PLEASE DO SOMETHING THIS IS DANGEROUS. I COULD HAVE BEEN AT AN INTERSECTION OR IN TRAFFIC.
PRIOR TO TAKING MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA TO A NISSAN SERVICE CENTER FOR A SCHEDULED ROUTINE OIL & FILTER CHANGE, MY VEHICLE WAS RUNNING PERFECTLY. THE VERY NEXT DAY AFTER I HAD MY ROUTINE OIL & FILTER CHANGE ON MY VEHICLE, MY VEHICLE STARTED HESITATING IN FIRST GEAR AND IMMEDIATELY I TOOK MY VEHICLE BACK TO THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER THE SAME DAY OF THE OCCURRENCE AND I EXPLAINED TO THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER REPRESENTATIVE THAT MY VEHICLE STARTED HESITATING. (THE DAY AFTER I HAD A SCHEDULED ROUTINE OIL & FILTER CHANGE). WHEN THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER DIAGNOSED MY VEHICLE I WAS TOLD MY CVT TRANSMISSION INDICATING A BAD INTERNAL SENSOR WITHIN THE TRANSMISSION AND I WOULD NEED TO PAY $3,800 DOLLARS TO REPAIR MY CVT TRANSMISSION. I EXPLAINED TO THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER REP. MY VEHICLE WAS JUST AT THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER YESTERDAY FOR A ROUTINE OIL & FILTER CHANGE AND THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHTS OR WARNING SIGNS ON MY DASHBOARD THAT WOULD INDICATE A PROBLEM WITH MY TRANSMISSION. IN ADDITION TO MY VEHICLE HESITATING IN FIRST GEAR IT ALSO APPEARED NOT TO CHANGE GEARS WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY. I TOLD THE NISSAN REP THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WANTED TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE WAS TO MUCH MONEY AND THE NISSAN REP STATED MY VEHICLE IS PASS THE WARRANTY LIMIT BECAUSE I HAVE 78,000 MILE AND MY LIMIT IS 60,000 MILES TO BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE SERVICE REP STATED THEY CAN HAVE A SALES REP CONTACT ME TO PURCHASE A NEW CAR IF I DID NOT WANT TO PAY FOR THE TRANSMISSION REPAIR. AFTER REFUSING TO HAVE MY VEHICLE REPAIRED AT THAT PRICE I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE FROM THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER AND DROVE MY VEHICLE HOME AND IT RAN FINE WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ANY INDICATION OF ANY PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE CHANGED GEARS AND DROVE PERFECTLY. I JUST WANT TO REPORT THIS ISSUE AND TO RED FLAG THIS PROBLEM WITH MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. IF SOMEONE'S DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE PLEASE ADVISE.
ON 10/27/17, I HIT A DEER CROSSING THE ROAD HEAD ON AT 45 MPH AND NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE AFTER ONLY 72,000 MILES. DEALER ESTIMATE TO REPAIR WAS $3600.
VEHICLE WAS AT DEALER FOR OIL CHANGE, SERVICE ADVISED THAT "RECALL" CAMPAIGN PC4900 REPROGRAM TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS PERFORMED. AFTER DRIVING THE CAR FOR 6 DAYS AND 447 MILES, IT DIED WHILE SITTING COMPLETELY STILL, IDLING IN TRAFFIC (IN "DRIVE"). THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED SO VIOLENTLY WHEN IT DIED, I THOUGHT THAT I HAD BEEN REAR-ENDED. THE VEHICLE WOULD RESTART BUT DIED IMMEDIATELY UPON ANY ATTEMPT TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE OR DRIVE. HAD IT TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER, DIAGNOSIS WAS TORQUE CONVERTER FAILURE. TOTAL TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. NEVER HAD ANY MECHANICAL ISSUES WITH THIS CAR UNTIL NOW.
I OWN A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA, OVER THE TIME OF OWNERSHIP I HAVE NOTICED THE HEADLIGHTS GETTING DIMMER AND DIMMER, I ASSUMED IT WAS THE BULBS AGING AND REPLACED THIS ON 02/15/2020. THE NEW BULBS (SILVANIA SILVERSTARS) WERE SUPPOSED TO BE BRIGHTER. THERE WERE NOT MUCH BRIGHTER. LATER WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SUGGESTED NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBALLIES AS THE CHROME PAINTING ON THE INSIDES OF THE LENSES HAS FADED AND AS A RESULT IS NOT REFLECTING MUCH LIGHT ONTO THE ROAD. THE ESTIMATED COST OF THIS REPAIR WAS 800$. I HAVE NEVER OWNED A CAR WHERE THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE FAILED IN THIS MATTER AND AS A STUDENT IT IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS TO HAVE LOW BEAMS THAT ARE SO DIM THEY DO NOT EVEN APPEAR TO BE ON AT NIGHT. GOOGLING THIS ISSUES SHOWS MANY FORUMS WHERE PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE I WAS HAVING WITH NEW HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES FIXING THE ISSUE
MY BACK SEATS LEFT & RIGHT SEAT LATCHES ARE NOT CATCHING
BOUGHT A NEW NISSAN ALTIMA AND WE HAVE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WITH ONLY 74,196 MILES.
HEADLIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM CAUSING A DRIVING AND SAFETY HAZARD. DRIVING AT NIGHT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR 4 YEARS AND WITHIN THE LAST YEAR THIS ISSUE HAS ONLY GOTTEN WORSE. I HAVE 3 KIDS ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS ACTIVITIES AND AT THIS POINT I FEAR FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY.
I AM ISSUING A COMPLAINT ABOUT MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA DUE TO THE EXTREME DULLNESS OF HEADLIGHT POWER. NISSAN HAS FAILED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS ISSUE, AND THE FACT THAT IS INDEED A SAFETY CONCERN. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY TIMES WHERE I HAVE HAD TO SLAM ON MY BREAKS BECAUSE I NEARLY HIT A LARGE ANIMAL OR OTHER OBJECT IN THE ROAD. MY HEADLIGHTS DO NOT PROJECT FAR OR WIDE. ID ESTIMATE THEY PROJECT 4 FEET IN FRONT OF ME, I HAVE TRIED ADJUSTING THE HEADLIGHTS UP AND CHANGING TO VERY EXPENSIVE AND HIGH QUALITY LED BULBS, WITH NO IMPROVEMENT.
1) FRONTAL PASSENGER AIR BAG. IT ALWAYS SAYS OFF, EVEN WHEN THERE'S A PASSENGER. I'M NOT SURE WHETHER THIS IS A TAKATA INFLATOR. (THIS OCCURS EVERY TIME ALL THE TIME WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING, WETHER IDLEING, DRIVE, NEUTRAL AND REVERSE) 2) HEADLIGHTS. THE HEADLIGHTS (BOTH) CONTINUALLY GET DIMMER AND DIMMER UNTIL YOU ARE UNABLE TO SEE CAUSING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. (THIS OCCURS EVERY TIME ALL THE TIME WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING, WETHER IDLEING, DRIVE, NEUTRAL AND REVERSE)I HAVE HAD OR CHANGED MY LIGHT BULB(S) AT LEAST (6) TIMES IN THE 16 MONTHS I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE. I HAVE BEEN STOPPED BY LAW INFORCEMENT SEVERAL TIMES AND A LIVERY DRIVER I HAVE HAD CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS.
MY NISSAN ALTIMA 2014 ENGINE CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE DRIVING ON VA 286 INTERSTATE 66 W EXIT TOWARD FRONT ROYAL FOR MERGING ONTO I-66 W VIRGINIA. LUCKILY I GOT OUT SAFELY. I SAW SMOKE COME UP FROM UNDER THE HOOD SO SHUT THE ENGINE OFF, SO I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE. THEN A FLAME CAME UP AND I RAN OUT OF THE CAR. WITHIN A MATTER OF SECONDS THE WHOLE CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES AND IS DESTROYED 75% AND I HARDLY SAVED MY LIFE BUT LOST LAPTOP, MOBILES, BABY CAR SEAT, STROLLER AND OTHER PERSONAL STUFF. WE LOST OUR CAR WHICH COSTED US $22,000.00 EVEN ENGINE WAS UNDER 5 YEAR WARRANTY WHICH CAUSED A REASON OF FIRE BUT NISSAN IS NOT READY TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OF ITS PRODUCT EVEN THEIR PRODUCT WILL TAKE YOUR LIFE. WE STILL OWE TO BANK FOR NISSAN ALTIMA 2014. HELP US TO COVER A TOTAL LOSS FROM NISSAN. THIS STUFF SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING!! I DO NOT HAVE GAP INSURANCE EITHER. NISSAN SHOULD GIVE US NEW CAR AS A REPLACEMENT!!!!
I HAD THE FUEL PUMP CHANGE BECAUSE THE CAR WOULD NOT START. I WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC THAT IT HAS TO DO WITH AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM BECAUSE SOMEHOW ITS NOT GETTING POWER TO START MY CAR.
THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLES SEEM TO BRAKE VERY EASILY BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE OF PLASTIC THAT HOLDS THE CABLE IN PLACE. I'VE BEEN ON LINE AND THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ON THIS HAPPENING. IT IS A SAFETY IF YOU CAN'T GET OUT OF YOUR CAR WITHOUT ROLLING DOWN YOUR WINDOW.WHAT IF YOU WERE TO GET IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND COULD NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. TRANSMISSION FAILED WHILE DRIVING FROM TAMPA, FL TO CHICAGO, IL. CAR DIED IN NORMAL, IL. HAD IT TOWED TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP, HAD TO GET A RENTAL CAR, WAS TOLD THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAD METAL FRAGMENTS IN IT AND THAT IT WOULD BE A WEEK TO GET A NEW ONE AND COST $4,500.
"TAKATA RECALL" I GOT MY BRAKES DONE AT TO DIFFERENT REPAIR PLACES AND MY BRAKES ARE STILL SQUEEZING, SO I WENT BACK FOR THEM TO CHANGE MY ROTORS, BRAKES ARE STILL SQUEEZING. NOW WHEN I DRIVE I HEAR LOUD SQUEEZING AND MY BRAKES SOUNDS LIKE THEY DON'T WANT TO STOP.
