1) WINDSHIELD CRACKED IN THE SAME PLACE AS SEVERAL OTHER 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA SL CARS. 2) 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA SL NAVIGATION FREEZING UP. SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. LIGHTS ON SYSTEM ARE FLICKERING ON AND OFF. CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP SEVERAL TIMES, BUT NO FIX. 3) 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA SL BACK AND TOP SPEAKERS HAVE STOPPED WORKING. 4) 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA SL PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON AFTER A RECALL WAS COMPLETED. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A TURN AT A STOP LIGHT, VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE AND SLOW DOWN. IT FELT AS IF IT WAS GOING TO LOSE POWER. I HAD TO PUSH THE ACCELERATOR HARDER THAN EXPECTED AS THERE WAS ANOTHER VEHICLE BEARING DOWN ON ME IN ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THIS IS A NEW VEHICLE. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER AND IT APPEARS TO BE A TORQUE CONVERTER ISSUE. THE SHAKING IS NOT AN ISSUE IN ITSELF, HOWEVER IT COULD LEAD TO ACCIDENTS IF SOMEONE IS MAKING A TURN AND NEEDS TO GET OUT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC AS THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SEEM TO RESPOND AS EXPECTED. *JS
PURCHASED A BRAND NEW NISSAN ALTIMA 2014.THE SECOND DAY OF OWNERSHIP, AT 8 MILES, NOTICED A CLUNKING/THUMPING SOUND AS BRAKING TO FULL STOP. THIS RADIATES UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AND OCCURS A MAJORITY OF THE TIME WHEN COMING TO A FULL STOP. ALSO THERE IS A STRONG GAS SLOSHING SOUND FROM DRIVER SIDE REAR. THIS HAPPENS WHEN TANK IS HALF FULL TO FULL. RETURNED TO DEALERSHIP THE FIRST TIME THE FIRST WEEK OF OWNERSHIP AND THE DEPARTMENT DID NOT ADMIT HEARING THE SOUNDS UNTIL IT WAS TEST DRIVEN WITH THE OWNER. RETURNED TWO MORE TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH AN NISSAN ENGINEER LOOKING AT IT AFTER MANY PHONE CALLS TO NISSAN. THE SOUNDS WERE HEARD BY THE ENGINEER. ENGINEER STATED THAT HE WOULD TRY TO PACK AROUND THE GAS TANK TO REDUCE THE NOISE. HE DID NOTHING. WE ALSO TEST DROVE TWO OTHER 2014 ALTIMAS AND A 2013 ALTIMA AND THEY ALL HAD THE SAME NOISES!THE CAR WAS READY BY NOON WITH NOTHING CORRECTED. WE HAVE GRAVE CONCERNS WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM AND GAS TANK. WHAT IS THE IMMEDIATE AND LONG TERM EFFECTS OF THIS CLUNKING/THUMPING SOUND ETC. *TR
THE VEHICLE HAS A PUSH BUTTON START/STOP. WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE CAN BE LEFT IN GEAR AND THE AUDIBLE WARNING INDICATORS ARE CONFUSING AND INCONSISTENT. AS I WAS WALKING AWAY FROM THE CAR IT WOULD NOT REMOTE LOCK. I LOOKED BACK AND IT WAS ROLLING ACROSS THE PARKING LOT. ANY NUMBER OF TIMES I HAVE LEFT IT IN NEUTRAL BY MISTAKE. THE AUDIBLE WARNING SYSTEM IS TERRIBLE, INCONSISTENT AND THIS IS DANGEROUS. I CALLED THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THERE IS NO FIX AND YOU HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND NISSAN SAID THEY DON'T ACCEPT REDESIGN SUGGESTIONS OVER THE PHONE. I HAD TO JUMP IN THE CAR WITH A BAD BACK AND HIP TO STOP IT AS IT ROLLED ACROSS THE PARKING LOT. VERY DANGEROUS. AUDIBLE DOOR OPEN AND LIGHTS ON WARNINGS ARE INCONSISTENT AS IS THE KEY RECOGNITION SYSTEM. I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THIS CAR IF I KNEW IT HAD SUCH A DANGEROUS FLAW AND BAD ELECTRONICS.
