UPON APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED AND DID NOT STOP. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, HOWEVER,THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. CONSUMER IS STILL AWAITING SERVICE ON THE VEHICLE. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NISSAN ARMADA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED AND FAILED TO RESPOND AS THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT FAILURE WOULD RECUR INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 75,600.
DT: 2004 NISSAN ARMADA. CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT FRONT BRAKE ROTORS PROBLEM. TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOUR TIMES , AND THEY KNEW THERE WAS A PROBLEM, AND THEY WERE ONLY FIXING THIS IN SHORT TERM. IN TWO OR THREE MONTHS THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. CONSUMER SPOKEN WITH THE MANUFACTURER, AND THEY WERE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM, BUT WILL NOT ISSUE A RECALL. WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND GOING DOWN HILLS, AND SOON AS TAKING FOOT OFF THE GAS AND GOING TO APPLY THE BRAKES FRONT WHEELS, STEERING WHEEL AND BRAKE PEDAL SHAKE VERY BADLY. THIS CAUSED THE CAR TO STOP. *AK
WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED UNCONTROLLABLY. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND DROVE IT TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT THE ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND REPLACED IT THREE TIMES. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS AT THIS TIME. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *NM
PURCHASED IN 11/2003, AND IT WAS IN THE SHOP FOR CREAKING IN THE UNI-BODY, AND A HARMONIC HUM WHEN THE DEFROST WAS ON, ALONG WITH HAVING VISORS REPLACED. THEN WITHIN A SHORT PERIOD AFTER THAT THE TRUCK REACHED 3000 MILES AND WITH EVERY 3000 MILES THE BREAKS BEGIN TO PULSATE AND CAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL TO SHAKE MAKING DRIVING DIFFICULT. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS BROUGHT IN TO THE DEALERS FOR THIS THE ROTORS WERE TURNED AND THE BRAKE PADS REPLACED. ON THE NEXT VISIT, THE DEALERSHIP PUT ON A SO CALLED REPAIR KIT, WHICH WAS REPLACING THE ROTORS AND CHANGING THE PADS WITH AFTERMARKET PADS. AND THEN WHEN IT CAME TO THE THIRD TIME...I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD DO A QUICK FIX AND SUPPOSEDLY A REPLACEMENT KIT WAS IN THE WORKS. AFTER BRINGING MY VEHICLE DOWN FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, AND THE QUICK FIX I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT NISSAN SAID, NOT TO DO THE QUICK FIX, SINCE THE REPLACEMENT KIT IS AVAILABLE FOR ORDERING SOON. I HAD TO EXPLAIN TO THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE PULSATING WAS SO BAD THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. AFTER A VIVID DISCUSSION WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER THE VEHICLE WAS GIVEN THE QUICK FIX. WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR THE REPLACEMENT KIT. THE QUICK FIX WAS DONE IN MAY 2005. AND NO WORD HAS COME YET REGARDING THIS SO CALLED "REPLACEMENT KIT".
2004 NISSAN ARMADA SHAKES UNCONTROLLABLY WHEN BRAKING ESPECIALLY AT SPEEDS IN EXCESS OF 40MPH. HAS BEEN REPAIRED 4 TIMES SO FAR AND STILL HAPPENS. *TR
I AM WRITING AS A FOLLOW UP TO A NEWS ARTICLE OUT TODAY THAT TALKS ABOUT HOW CRACKS IN FORD EXHAUST MANIFOLDS ARE MAKING VEHICLE OWNERS/DRIVERS/PASSENGERS SICK THROUGH POISONING GASES ENTERING THE CABIN: HTTPS://WWW.BLOOMBERG.COM/GRAPHICS/2019-FORD-EXPLORER-OWNERS-SAY-SUVS-MAKING-THEM-SICK/ THIS IS NOT THE ONLY VEHICLE WITH THIS VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM. THERE ARE VERY SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH THE NISSAN ARMADA/TITAN EXHAUST MANIFOLDS CRACKING AND EMITTING TOXIC GASES, FROM 2004 ON UP. THESE VEHICLES, EQUIPPED WITH A 5.4L ENGINE, ARE HIGHLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO EXHAUST MANIFOLDS CRACKING AND EXHAUSTING GAS. THIS EXHAUST GAS CAN EASILY MAKE IT'S WAY INTO THE VEHICLE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT, AND CAUSE SICKNESS, DIZZINESS, NAUSEA, OR POSSIBLY EVEN DEATH FROM CO2 POISONING. THE PROBLEM SO BAD ON THESE VEHICLES, THAT AFTERMARKET COMPANIES HAVE FOR MANY YEARS NOW STARTED MAKING EXHAUST MANIFOLDS THAT HAVE REINFORCEMENTS WELDED ONTO THE AREAS OF THE STOCK MANIFOLD THAT REGULARLY INCUR THESE CRACKS. THE JOB IS EXTENSIVE, HOWEVER, AND MANY VEHICLE OWNERS CANNOT AFFORD THESE REPAIRS. MANY VEHICLE OWNERS LIKELY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS MAKING THEM SICK. NISSAN SOLD ME A CAR WHEREIN THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT BOLTED TO THE FRAME. ECAUSE OF A MISSING BOLT, THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL COLLIDED REPEATEDLY WITH THE CV JOINT, CONTROL ARM, AXLE, AND UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE.*AK
WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED CAR THE BRAKES WENT OUT AT 3000 MILES AND I'VE CONTINUED TO HAVE A PROBLEM EVER SINCE.NISSAN FIXED THE BRAKE JUDDER BUT ANOTHER ISSUE AROSE.NOW WHENEVER IT WANTS THE BRAKES JUST GO OUT.I'VE HAD THE CAR IN THE SHOP MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THIS PROBLEM.I HAVE TO SHUT CAR OFF AND RESTART AS IF SOME ELECTRICAL COMPONENT IS RESETTING.THIS HAS NEVER BEEN FIXED AND NOW I'M OUT OF WARRANTY.NISSAN CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM OR JUST DOESN'T WANT TO TAKE THE TIME TO FIX.THIS IS LEADING TO A VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE BECAUSE THERE IS NO TELLING WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. *JS
NISSAN - 2004, PATHFINDER ARMADA AT PRESENT 22,000 MILES. PROBLEM STATED AT LESS THAN 2,000 MILES. VEHICLE HAS BEEN BACK TO DEALER 6 TIMES SINCE ACQUISITION FOR BRAKE PROBLEMS. FAILURE OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM. TAKE LONGER TO STOP WITH SEVERE SHUDDERING OF THE STEERING COLUMN. THIS COULD RESULT IN A CRASH WITH LOSS OF LIVES. DELEAR REFINISH THE EXISTING ROTORS OR INSTALL NEW ONES WITH NEW PADS AND BOLT ASSEMBLY.*AK
2004 NISSAN ARMADA HAS A BRAKE PROBLEM. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE BRAKES ON HIS VEHICLE HAVE BEEN REPLACED FIVE TIMES. *NJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE LAST TIME, THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WHICH ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT NISSAN KNEW THE BRAKES WERE TOO SMALL FOR THE VEHICLE. *JB
2004 NISSAN ARMADA BRAKE FAILURE. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE BRAKES FAILED TWICE ALMOST CAUSING HIM TO BE IN AN ACCIDENT. HE STATES THAT IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD AND HAS HEARD OF A LOT MORE ARMADA'S HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. *KB THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *JB
