DT: THE CONTACT STATES THAT HE OWNS A 2004 NISSAN ARMADA. HE HAS TAKING HIS VEHICLE INTO A MECHANIC THREE TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THERE IS A VIBRATION IN HIS BRAKES. HE WOULD HAVE A KIT PUT ON HIS BRAKES AND THEY TOLD HIM EACH TIME THAT HE WOULD NOT NEED TO HAVE IT FIXED ANYMORE HIS VEHICLE IS MESSED UP NOW WITH THE SAME BRAKING PROBLEM THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME. HE ONLY HAS 9500 MILES ON HIS VEHICLE. THE BRAKING PROBLEM CONSIST OF THE STEERING WHEEL JUMPING REALLY BAD WHILE APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES. THE VIBRATION OCCURS EVEN IN NORMAL BRAKING. THE DESIGN OF BRAKING SYSTEM IS ANTILOCK BRAKES. HE DOES HAVE THE REPAIR INVOICES FOR EACH FAILURE. THIS HAS CAME CLOSE TO CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. *NM
THE PADS HAVE BEEN REPLACED, THE ROTORS WERE TURNED TWICE. A NEW WAS PUT ON THE VEHICLE, THEN ANOTHER KIT THAT WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE PROBLEM SEEMED TO RETURNED AFTER 3,000 MILES. *AK WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED THERE WAS A PULSATION AND THE STEERING VIBRATED. *JB
FRONT BRAKES MADE SQUEAKING NOISES, AND STEERING WHEEL SHOOK WHILE BRAKING, UNSAFE TO DRIVE. BRAKES REPAIRED 3 TIMES. TRUCK WAS ONLY 4 MONTHS OLD WITH 6000 MILES.*AK
STUCK THROTTLE PEDAL: WHILE DRIVING WITH LOSE FITTING SANDALS MY SANDAL GOT JAMMED BY THE LIP OF THE CENTER COUNSEL THAT EXTENDS OUT ABOUT A 1/2" AND THE GAS PEDAL. MY FOOT WAS STUCK WITH THE GAS PEDAL FULLY DEPRESSED FOR A FEW SECONDS BEFORE I COULD DISLODGE IT. THERE APPEARS TO BE A DESIGN DEFECT, THE CENTER COUNSEL SHOULD FIT FLUSH WITH THE TUNNEL.*AK
BRAKES SHUDDERING-IT'S BEEN IN TWICE ALREADY AND FIXED UNDER A TSB BUT THE PROBLEM IS HAPPENING AGAIN. NISSAN CORP HAS A CASE MANAGER ASSIGNED ALREADY. IDA COHEN. *JB
MY 2004 NISSAN PATHFINDER ARMADA IS IN SERIOUS NEED OF A LARGER BRAKING SYSTEM. AFTER ONLY 5500 MILES OF MOSTLY HIGHWAY DRIVING MY NISSAN DEVELOPED A FRONT BRAKE SHUDDER INDICATING THE ROTORS WERE WARPED. I TOOK IT TO THE BROWN & BROWN DEALER IN MESA, AZ WHERE I BOUGHT IT. THEY SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND ASSURED ME IT WOULD BE FIXED. THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER PROBLEMS WITH MY TRUCK SUCHAS, BUBBLES IN THE WINDSHIELD A LEAKY SUNROOF THAT SHUDDERS WHEN CLOSING, THE DIMMER SWITCH FOR THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WASN'T EVEN CONNECTED. I FOUND A LOOSE BOLT ON THE FLOORBOARD. THERE WAS NO EXPLANATION OF WHERE IT BELONGS. I GUESS I'LL FIND OUT LATER. THE AUTO ROLL-UP FEATURE FOR THE FRONT WINDOWS IS FAULTY. THE SERVICE GUY SAYS NISSAN IS RESEARCHING IT. ITS BEEN TWO MONTHS. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY TO COME UP WITH A SOLUTION? ARE THEY TOO BUSY DESIGNING NEXT YEAR'S LEMONS? I'VE OWNED 5 OTHER NISSAN WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. IS IT CANTON, MISSISSIPPI? *NM
WHILE DRIVING AND UPON COMING TO A STOP STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED, AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP THE VEHICLE. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, WHO INSISTED THAT THEY HAD SEVENTEEN VEHICLES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. *AK. VEHICLE PULLED A TRAILER WITH JET SKI ON THE 15 FREEWAY. SUDDENLY VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP AND STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO VIBRATE, MOMENTARILY LOSING CONTROL OF VEHICLE AND TRAILER BEGAN BOUNCING. HIS WIFE AND TWO CHILDREN WERE IN THE VEHICLE AND BECAME CONCERNED AND SCARED.*AK
- I EXPERIENCED BRAKE JUDDER AT 200 MILES - DASH RATTLE FIRST WEEK OF OWNERSHIP - 3RD ROW CENTER SEAT BELT FAILED AT APPROX 3 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP - LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT AND WARNING COME ON AT TEMPERATURES BELOW 15 DEG F - AT 13 DEG F, APPROX 4,500 MILES, CAR SURGED, STALLED AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND TRAVEL OVER 45 MPH. *JB
WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE PEDAL VEHICLE VIBRATED UNCONTROLLABLY. DRIVER TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE FRONT ROTORS NEEDED TO BE RESURFACED, AND RESURFACED THEM THREE TIMES. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM RECURRED. *A
REAR COLLISION DUE TO BRAKE FAILURE. THE BRAKES ARE TOO WEAK AND VIBRATE. THE DEALER REPLACE THE BRAKES PADS, THEN A WEEK LATER THE FRONT BREAK DISKS WERE REPLACE BECAUSE STILL VIBRATES. IT SOLVE THE PROBLEM FOR APPROXIMATELY. 2,000 MILES THEN THE VIBRATION STARTS AGAIN. *NM
DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NISSAN ARMADA 4 WHEEL DRIVE. THE CONTACT COMPLAINED ABOUT A BRAKE PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY THE FRONT BRAKES. HE HAS ALREADY DECIDED THAT IT WAS THE FRONT BRAKES BECAUSE HE COULD NOT STOP THE VEHICLE. . ALSO, BRAKE ROTORS WARPED AND FADED. THERE WAS 14,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE, AND HE HAS BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. HE REFUSED TO LET HIS WIFE OR FAMILY DRIVE THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT WAS UNSAFE. AT FIRST HE THOUGHT THIS PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY THE DISC BRAKES, PADS, AND THE ROTORS THAT RUSTED, BUT AFTERWARDS HE DECIDED THAT THIS WAS CAUSED THE VEHICLE SITTING ON THE LOT. BUT SINCE THE PROBLEM BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE WHEN BRAKING HARD AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE BRAKES WILL SHUTTER AND FADE. THIS VEHICLE WAS MADE WITH THE HIGHEST TOWING PACKAGE AND WHEN TOWING SOMETHING HE FELT LIKE HE WAS GOING TO CRASH WITH THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE IT GOT SO WORSE. HE CONTACTED A DEALERSHIP AND SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD HIM THAT THEY WERE GOING TO REPLACE THE BRAKES BY A BY OWNER BASIS BUT HAD NO PLANS IN MAKING THIS A RECALL. THERE HAS ALMOST BEEN SEVERAL ACCIDENTS WITH THIS PROBLEM. HE RETIRED FROM THE SHERIFF' S DEPARTMENT AND HAS BEEN TO PROFESSIONAL DRIVING SCHOOL. THEREFORE, THE CONTACT DID KNOW HOW VEHICLES WERE SUPPOSE TO BE HANDLED. *AK
BRAKE SYSTEM ON NISSAN PATHFINDER ARMADA 2004.*MR THE VEHICLE WOULD VIBRATE WHILE BRAKING AND THE VEHICLE BECAME INCREASING DIFFICULT TO STOP. THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT THE BRAKES WERE NOT HEAVY ENOUGH FOR THE VEHICLE AND THAT THE ROTORS WERE WARPED. *NM
STEERING WHEEL WOULD SHAKE WHEN BRAKING. THIS WAS THE THIRD TIME I HAVE HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE SERVICE DEPT. THERE IS NOW A BULLETIN ON THE CAR AND THEY REPAIRED/REPLACED THE BRAKES ACCORDING TO THE BULLETIN. A BRACKET, BOLT AND PIN? DOES NISSAN, THE MANUFACTURER REALLY THINK THAT IS THE SOLUTION? THE SOLUTION IS EQUIPPING THE VEHICLE WITH THE PROPER (SIZE) BRAKES TO BEGIN WITH. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT A SMALL CAR, IT IS A LARGE SUV AND IT NEEDS LARGE TRUCK SIZE BRAKES. A RECALL OR TRUE FIX WOULD BE NICE BEFORE THESE BRAKES FAIL AND HURT SOMEONE. NISSAN REALLY DOESNT SEEM TO CARE BECAUSE WHEN YOU CALL THEM THEY WILL JUST LET YOU DRIVE IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE WITH FAILING BRAKES. IF IT WASNT FOR THE NISSAN SERVICE DEPT ALWAYS PUTTING ME IN A RENTAL WHO KNOWS WHAT WOULD HAPPEN.*AK
FRONT ROTORS WARPED AT ONLY A LITTLE UNDER 2400 MILES.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED VEHICLE STALLED. WITHOUT WARNING. CONSUMER RESTARTED VEHICLE, AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND REPLACED IT. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM RECURRED.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES AND PASSENGER WHO WAS SEATED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT ALMOST HIT THE WINDSHIELD. THE SEAT BELT DIDN'T HOLD THE PASSENGER, CONSUMER INDICATED THE PROBLEM WAS THE DESIGN OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED TO THE CONSUMER THEY RECEIVED COMPLAINTS EVERY DAY ON THIS ISSUE, AND THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. *AK THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT IS SET AT A DOWNWARD ANGLE. *TC
BRAKES JUTTER AND NEED REPAIR EVERY 5,000 MILES. CAR HAS HAD ROTORS TURNS, PAD REPLACED, ROTORS REPLACED. THE FIRST FAILURE WAS NOTED WITH 5,000 MILES ON IT AND A REPAIR WAS MADE. A REPAIR WAS AGAIN MADE AT 11,000 MILES AT THAT TIME NEW ROTORS WERE INSTALLED AND ANOTHER REPAIR WAS MADE IN MARCH 2005 AT 16,000 MILES. I CALLED NISSAN AND WAS TOLD BY THEIR REPRESENTATIVE THAT THE FIXES WERE "COUNTER-MEASURES" AND THAT AT THIS TIME NO PERMANENT FIX HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AND THERE IS NO DATE FOR A PERMANENT FIX TO THIS SAFETY PROBLEM.*AK
PURCHASED 2004 NISSAN ARMADA, JUNE 2004 8/04 TECH FOUND FRONT ROTORS TO BE WARPED CAUSING PULSATION, RESURFACED FRONT ROTORS 1/05TECH FOUND FRONT ROTORS NEEDING TO BE CUT, AND HARDWARE REPLACED, RESURFASED FRONT ROTORS, REPLACED ALL HARDWARE 4/05TECH VERIFIED BOTH FRONT BRAKE ROTORS WARPED DUE TO EXCESSIVE HEAT, RESURFACED BOTH FRONT BRAKE ROTORS 6/05 AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BRAKES DEVELOPED A BAD PROBLEM WITH VIBRATIONS WHEN BRAKING WHICH ACUTALLY GIGGLED THE STEERING WHEEL. PROBLEM WAS FIRST REPAIRED AT 5,000 MILES AND THEY SERVICED IT BY TURNING THE ROTORS. PROBLEM REOCCURED AT 11,000 MILES AND IT WAS SERVICED AGAIN. THIS TIME THE ROTORS COULD NOT BE TURNED AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE ROTORS, PAD KIT, AND BOOT KIT. AT 16,000 MILES THE PROBLEM ONCE AGAIN REOCCURED AND AT THE TIME THE SERVICE DEPT. SAID THAT NISSAN HAS NOT FOUND A PERMANENT FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM AND THEY ONCE AGAIN TURNED MY ROTORS. I HAVE SINCE CALLED NISSAN AND WAS TOLD BY THEIR REPRESENTATIVE THAT NISSAN IS ONLY PROVIDING "COUNTER-MEAURES" AND HAS NOT FOUND A FIX AND HAS NO DATE WHEN ONE WILL BE AVAIL. I FEEL IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THESE PROBLEMS HAVE OCCURED WITHOUT EVENING TOWING ANYTHING AND I AM PURSUING THE LEMON LAW IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON. IT IS UNREASONABLE TO EXPECT PEOPLE TO DRIVE A VEHICLE WHICH HAS TO HAVE A MAJOR BREAK SERVICE PERFOMED EVERY 5,000 MILES JUST TO BE SOMEWHAT SAFE.*AK
I PURCHASED A NISSAN ARMADA IN APRIL 2004 AND TWO MONTHS LATER HAD TO BRING IT TO DEALER FOR REPAIR AS THE BRAKES WERE SHUDDERING CAUSING TREMENDOUS SHIMMY IN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE DEALERSHIP, NISSAN THOUSAND OAKS, DID NOT REPLACE THE "WARPED ROTORS", INSTEAD "SWITCHING" THEM AROUND AND REPLACING THE BRAKE PADS. THE ADDITIONAL PROBLEM OF A RATTLE AND SQUEAKING SOUND FROM DASHBOARD RESULTED IN THE DEALERSHIP REALIGNING THE DASHBOARD PROPERLY. TWO MONTHS LATER I WAS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX THE BRAKES AGAIN. THIS TIME I DEMANDED THAT THE INFERIOR ROTORS BE REPLACED WITH HIGHER-QUALITY ROTORS. THEY REPLACED THE FACTORY-INSTALLED ROTORS WITH NEW ROTORS (TOLD BETTER QUALITY ROTORS) AND THEY ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE BRAKE PADS AGAIN. ADDITIONALLY, THERE I WAS EXPERIENCING AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH THE A/C; IT WOULD SOMETIMES RUN VERY HOT AIR. THEY CHECKED IT OUT AND FOUND THAT THE CLUTCH FAN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED; THIS PART IS ON ORDER AND I WILL HAVE TO RETURN FOR INSTALLATION. ALSO, I ASKED THEM TO ONCE AGAIN FIX A SQUEAKING AND RATTLING ISSUE THAT SEEMED TO BE COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD AGAIN AND ALSO INTERMITTENT FAILURE OF THE STEREO CONTROLS LOCATED ON THE STEERING WHEEL. ACCORDING TO THEIR MECHANICS, THE SOUND PROBLEM AND STEREO CONTROLS PROBLEM DID NOT OCCUR WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS IN THEIR POSSESSION. A WEEK LATER, AUGUST 12, 2004, I HAD TO RETURN TO HAVE THE CLUTCH FAN REPLACED AND THIS TIME I ALSO REQUESTED THAT ONE OF THEIR MECHANICS DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH ME SO THAT I COULD POINT OUT THE SQUEAKING ISSUE. THE MECHANIC HEARD THE SOUND PROBLEM THIS TIME AND I AM TOLD THEY WILL TRY TO FIX THIS ISSUE. I HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM AGAIN, AS YET WITH THE STEREO CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL.
CONSUMER STATED BRAKES PADS WORE OUT PREMATURELY. DEALER ADVISED CONSUMER TO CONTINUE DRIVING UNTIL IT WAS METAL TO METAL.*AK
CERTIFIED LTR INFORMATION COPY ADDRESSED TO TUSTIN NISSAN WRITER OWNER OF 2004 MY NISSAN ARMADA REPORTING DEFECTIVE BRAKES THE CONSUMER DEMANDED FULL REFUND FOR THE COST OF THE VEHICLE. THE FRONT END VIBRATED BADLY WHEN THE CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES. AFTER THE BRAKES WHERE REPLACED THE CONSUMER TRAVELED THREE MILES AND THE RIMS WHERE COVERED WITH BRAKE RESIDUE. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE BRAKING SYSTEM IS INADEQUATE FOR THE VEHICLE. *TC *JB
I PURCHASED A NISSAN ARMADA WITH 1200 MILES SOLD AS NEW WHICH NO PROBLEM WITH THAT BUT AT 4600 MILES MY STEERING WHEEL START TO SHAKE WHEN I PRESS ON THE BRAKE ?! I CALLED THE DEALER THEY TURNED THE ROTORS BUT THEY TOLD ME I SHOULD EXPECT THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN ? PLEASE ASK NISSAN TO DO A RECALL FOR AMERICAN SAFTY ?! IT IS A NICE TRUCK AND I LOVE IT.*AK
WE HAVE BEEN EXPERIRENCING PROBLEMS WITH CABIN NOISE. THERE IS WIND GETTING IN THE VEHICLE AND YOU CAN DEFINITELTY HEAR IT. ANOTHER PROBLEM WE HAVE HAD IS THE RIGHT REAR POWER WINDOW SCRUBBING WHEN YOU LET IT UP OR DOWN. I HAVE SET AN APPOINTMENT FOR IT AND THE CABIN NOISE TO BE SERVICED. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TODAY AND ASKED ABOUT RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE, BECAUSE MINE SHAKES AS YOU ARE STOPPING, POSSIBLY A BRAKE OR ROTOR PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO RECALLS, BUT THEY DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME ABOUT THE SERVICE BULLETINS ON THIS VEHICLE.
FUEL SENDING UNIT DOES NOT ACCURATELY INDICATE THE FUEL LEVEL. THIS WAS BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE NISSAN SERVICE DEPT IN HENDERSON NEVADA WHEN THE CAR WAS NEW AND WITH EVERY VEHICLE SERVICE OR REPAIR SINCE - MOST RECENTLY IN JUNE 2011. I WAS INITIALLY TOLD IT WAS NORMAL DUE THE TYPE OF FUEL INDICATOR. NOW I SEE THERE ARE RECALLS ON OTHER NISSAN ARMADAS BUT DIFFERENT YEARS AND ON OTHER NISSAN MODELS. THIS COULD CREATE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE IF I AM UNABLE TO DETECT MY FUEL LEVEL ACCURATELY. NISSAN REFUSES TO STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES. THEY KNOW IT IS A PROBLEM IN THEIR VEHICLES AND WILL HONOR A REPLACEMENT ON SOME VEHICLES BUT NOT OTHERS. *KB
2004 NISSAN PATHFINDER ARMADA WITH NUMEROUS PROBLEMS. CUSTOMER STATES THE VEHICLE HAS HAD SOME OF THESE PROBLEMS WASHER TANK/MOTOR/LEVEL SENSOR, ELECTRICAL WORKED AFTER KEY WAS REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION, AND IT HAD BRAKE FAILURE. *KB THE TIRES WERE WEARING UNEVENLY. THERE WAS A WATER LEAK COMING FROM THE PASSENGER FRONT FLOOR BOARD. THE DEALER INSTALLED A HOSE TO THE AC DRAIN. THE FRONT ROTORS WERE REPLACED DUE TO THEM BEING WARPED AND THE REAR ROTORS WERE RESURFACED. THE PASSENGER WINDOW WOULD NOT ROLL UP, DUE TO IT BEING OFF TRACK. WHILE DRIVING, THE ENGINE SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN. THE CONSUMER REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, BUT THE WIPERS, HORN ,HEADLIGHTS AND OTHER ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTS KEPT ON WORKING. THE CONSUMER ALSO EXPERIENCED A FLAT TIRE AND THERE WAS MOISTURE IN THE TRANSMISSION CONNECTOR, THE WIRING HARNESS WAS REPALCED. *JB
FRONT TIRES CUPPING ON OUTSIDE AND INSIDE OF TREAD AT 5919 MILES DEALER BALANCED ALL TIRES. THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. *NM
CONSUMER HAS HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKES AND AIR CONDITION ON 2004 NISSAN ARMADA. *TS WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, THE CONSUMER FELT A VIBRATION, THE PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED. THE REAR STRUT, WINDOW AND MOON ROOF WERE LEAKING. THE REAR AC PIPE AND O-RING WERE REPLACED TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM WITH THE AIR CONDITION NOT COOLING. THE HATCH STRUTS WERE REPLACED DUE TO EXCESSIVE PLAY.*JB
MAJOR PROBLEM WITH BRAKES ON MY 2004 NISSAN ARMADA:3 TIMES ALREDY I HAVE HAD WARPED ROTORS AND NOW AFTER LESS THEN 2000 MILES I HAVE TO DO IT AGAN.WHEN IT HAPPEND 2ND TIME IN SUMMER THE WATING FOR REPLASEMENT DISKS, PADS AND CALIPER WAS MORE THEN 4 WEEKS.ONE DAY I GOT MY FRONT BRAKES LOCK-UP THEY WELDED TO DISKS AND I CAN NOT DRIVE.I CAN'T KEEP GOING IN EVERY 3K MILES TO HAVE A BRAKE JOB.ESPECIALY AFTER 6K MILES MY WARANTY RUNS OUT AND THEN I HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM.*AK
PURCHASED 2004 NISSAN ARMADA IN DEC. 03. AT APPROX. 4000 MI STARTED NOTICING VIBRATION IN BRAKING AND THEN SHIMMY IN FRONT END SHORTLY THEREAFTER. TOOK THE CAR IN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME I WAS SUPPOSED TO USE THE PARKING BRAKE ABOUT ONCE A WEEK TO RESET THE BRAKES. TURNED THE ROTORS AND THE TRUCK WAS FINE UNTIL ABOUT 10,000 MILES WHEN IT STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN. SERVERAL ISSUES, THE MAIN ISSUE IS THE BRAKES, AND ROTORS. @ 7000 MILES, THE ROTORS WERE TURNED, STEERING WHEEL WAS PULSATING, SERVICE DEPARTMENT TURNED ROTORS. AT 11,000 MILES, THE STERRING WHEEL RESUMED PULSATING ALONG WITH THE BRAKE, SLIP, AND VDC LIGHT ACTIVATED ON THE CONTROL PANEL. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE DEPT. MY BRAKE FLUID WAS LOW, PERHAPS LEAKING AND THE BRAKES REQUIRE CHANGING AT MY COST, THE WARRENTY DOES NOT COVER THE BRAKE ISSUE. I TOLD THE SERVICE DEPT. THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE, I WILL NOT PAY FOR NEW BRAKES, AT SUCH LOW MILEAGE. MY REASEARCH HAS LED ME TO BELIEVE EARLIER ON THIS WILL BE A CONTINUING ISSUE REGARDING THE ROTORS AND BRAKES. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH, THE BRAKES ARE STILL ON BACK ORDER, THE LIGHT SIGNALS I HAD DESCRIBED EARLIER ARE STILL LIGHTING UP LIKE A XMAS TREE. I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY HOLD THE STEERING WHEEL FIRMLY AND VEER IT TO THE LEFT IN ORDER TO KEEP THE VEHICLE RUNNING STRAIGHT. THE REPAIR FOR THIS PROBLEM WAS TO REMOVE THE FROM TIRES AND DO AN ON VEHICLE TURN OF THE ROTORS AS I WAITED WHICH TOOK ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF. I PURCHASED THE NEW NISSAN ARMADA ON 1/18/04. TOWARDS THE MIDDLE OF MARCH, I NOTICED MY STEERING WHEEL WAS VIBRATING AND THAT IT WAS GETTING HARDER TO STOP. I TOOK THE TRUCK IN ON 3/29/04 (APPX 3000 MI) TO FIND OUT THAT THE BRAKE ROTORS WERE OUT OF ROUND. THE DEALERSHIP RESURFACED THE ROTORS AND THE VIBRATIONS STOPPED. AT APPROXIMATELY 5000 MILES THE ISSUE AROSE AGAIN. I TOOK THE TRUCK IN 6/17/04 (5760 MI) AND FOUND OUT THAT THE ROTORS WERE OUT OF ROUND AND THAT THE PADS HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE ADVISOR TOLD ME MINE WAS THE 5TH ARMADA SHE HAD IN FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND THAT ONE GENTLEMAN'S ROTORS WERE SO BAD THAT THEY WERE CRACKED. UNFORTUNATELY, THE DEALER WAS OUT OF PARTS AND I HAD TO DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL 7/19 (ANOTHER MONTH) BEFORE THE DEALER COULD GET THE PARTS REPLACE. DURING THAT TIME, THE VEHICLE WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO KEEP STRAIGHT WHEN BREAKING, EVEN AT SLOW SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE'S STEERING WHEEL WOULD VIOLENTLY VIBRATE AND TWIST FROM SIDE TO SIDE, CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO GRASP HOLD OF THE STEERING WHEEL WITH A LOT OF PRESSURE. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE ROTORS AND PADS ON 7/19. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND WEAKER INDIVIDUALS TRY TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, AND DEMAND THAT THE DEALERSHIP PROVIDE A RENTAL CAR. IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A CRITICAL VEHICLE COMPONENTS THAT MAY BREAK, FALL APART, OR SEPARATE FROM THE VEHICLE CAUSING LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL, OR INJURY TO PERSONS INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. YET, THEY WILL HAVE MY CAR THERE FOR 2 WEEKS. I GUESS I WILL SEE THEM AGAIN IN ABOUT ANOTHER 2500 MILES OR SO. BRAKES "JUDDER" ONCE EVERY 6 OR SO MONTHS. THE JUDDER MANIFESTS ITSELF AS A PARTIAL ENGAGEMENT OF BRAKES, AND A RAPID FEEDBACK ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I HAVE LEARNED OVER TIME THAT I NEED TO PULL OVER IMMEDIATELY, PARK THE CAR, AND REPEATEDLY JAM DOWN THE PEDAL, (AS IF PUMPING UP THE BRAKE FLUID PRESSURE). TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTART. FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE IT AND THE CAR WAS STILL TOO NEW FOR THEM TO HAVE HEARD OF IT BEFORE. *TR
