ON 01-13-2011 I WAS DRIVING MY 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER PICK UP ON PA SR 92S. BETWEEN NICHOLSON AND TUNKHANNOCK ABS AND SLIP WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. I CALLED MY NISSAN DEALER IMMEDIATELY, EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM AND DIFFICULTIES I HAD HANDLING THE VEHICLE ON THE SNOW COVERED ROAD. I WAS TOLD THAT EARLIEST APPOINTMENT I COULD GET WAS 01-20-2011. ON MY WAY BACK, WHEN I DROVE ON ANOTHER SNOWY ROAD I APPLIED 4X4 SYSTEM BUT IT FAILED TO ENGAGE. NOW THE ABS, SLIP AND 4X4 DID NOT WORK AND I HAD HARD TIMES TO MAKE IT SAFELY HOME. I CALLED THE DEALER AGAIN A WAS AGAIN TOLD THAT I COULD GET IT FIXED ON 01-20-2011. I DECIDED TO REPORT THIS PROBLEM AND I HOPE THAT YOUR INVESTIGATION OF MY COMPLAIN WILL MAKE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY WINTER DRIVING OF NISSAN VEHICLES SAFER. *TR
SERVICE ENGINE SOON (SES) LIGHT IS ON CONSTANTLY. FUEL SYSTEM READS ERRATIC LEVELS - WHEN IT REACHES APPROX 1/4 TO 3/8 OF A TANK, THE FUEL GAUGE DROPS TO THE BOTTOM AND THE LIGHT COMES ON, AS THOUGH THE TANK WERE EMPTY. THE TRUCK REPORTS P0463 CODE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING HOME ON THE EXPRESSWAY HWY 75 SOUTH DOWNTOWN ATLANTA GA AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY TRUCK JUST STOPPED RUNNING. I MANAGE TO COST TO THE SIDE OF THE EXPRESSWAY. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RESTART THE TRUCK I CALLED FOR HELP. HAD THE TRUCK TOWN TO A LOCAL SHOP ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT IT RAN OUT OF GAS. THE CULPRIT A FAULTY FUEL GAUGE A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 2007 FRONTIER MODELS. I CONTACTED NISSAN TO HAVE IT REPLACE BUT I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE I WAS OVER 72000 MILES THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE IT THE COST TO ME. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NISSAN AS LONG AS I LIVE I ALMOST GOT RAN OVER TRYING TO GET THE TRUCK TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. MY FUEL GAUGE WAS READING 1/2 OF TANK OF GAS. THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL. I KNOW THAT IT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED ONE UNTIL SOMEONE IS KILLED AS A RESULT OF THIS ISSUE AND THIS IS VERY SAD ESPECIALLY SINCE NISSAN HAS KNOWN ABOUT THE ISSUE SINCE DAY ONE. *TR
NISSAN RADIATOR/TRANSMISSION COOLER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $3,000 FOR VEHICLES UP TO 100,000 AFTER A CLASS ACTION SUIT WAS DONE. NISSAN IS ACKNOWLEDGING THE PROBLEM AND I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE CAUSE OF A RECALL AND THAT NISSAN SHOULD PAY THE FULL COST TO REPLACE. THIS COST REPRESENT 1/2 OF THE KELLY BLUE BOOK VALUE ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IS NON-OPERABLE. THE COST ALSO REPRESENTS ABOUT 15% OF WHAT THE VEHICLE WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED FOR. AFTER SPEAKING WITH NISSAN CONSUMERS AFFAIRS, THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO BUT TO CONTACT YOU TO TRY TO CHANGE IT TO A FULL RECALL. *TR
FRONTIER HAS DEVELOPED A BUZZING/WHINING SOUND THAT IS A WELL DOCUMENTED AND COMMON TIMING CHAIN PROBLEM THIS IS NOT JUST MY VEHICLE, BUT WITH MOST OF NISSAN'S MODELS SINCE 2005, WHICH IS WHEN THEY REDESIGNED AND BEGAN USING THE 4.0L V6 ENGINE IN THESE VEHICLES. NISSAN RECOGNIZES THE PROBLEM IN TSB'S NTB 07-42A, NTB09-128, AND NTB07-042C, BUT REFUSES TO ISSUE A RECALL AND IF YOUR WARRANTY IS UP YOU ARE ON THE HOOK FOR THE REPAIR. ORDINARILY I WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT, AS ALL PARTS WEAR OUT, BUT IN THIS CASE, THE FAILURE IS COMMON AND PREVALENT IN MULTIPLE NISSAN MODELS FROM THE SAME TIME PERIOD, SUGGESTING AN ENGINEERING DESIGN DEFECT IN THE ENGINE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. FRANKLY, IF THIS WAS AN IMMEDIATE LIFE SAFETY ISSUE, A RECALL WOULD HAVE BEEN ISSUED IN LIGHT OF THE NUMEROUS FAILURES AND NUMBER OF MODELS INVOLVED WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. *TR
CATALYTIC CONVERTERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. ENGINE WENT BAD 5 MONTHS LATER AND NOW VEHICLE NEEDS CONVERTERS AGAIN! THIS IS ONE OF THREE TRUCKS WE HAVE - ALL EXCACTLY ALIKE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM ALERTED LOW PRESSURE IN THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY REPLACED THE TIRE PRESSURE SENOR UNDER THE SERVICE WARRANTY. RECENTLY, A SIMILAR FAILURE OCCURRED WITH THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 33,000.
FUEL GAUGE PROBLEM AND SEVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT. *TR
2007 NISSAN FRONTIER HAS AN ERROR CODE OF PO463, FUEL SENDING UNIT SENSOR IS LIKELY CAUSE. GAS GAUGE STUCK AT EMPTY, CURRENTLY UNDER 35,000 MILES. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER, AND THE GAS TANK SENSOR FAILED LIKE SO MANY OTHERS FROM 2005 TO 2010. I RAN OUT OF GAS THE FIRST TIME AND IT STOPPED SO SUDDENLY I ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED. I CALLED NISSAN AND THEY SAID THAT MY VIN NUMBER DOESN'T FALL IN THE RECALL LIST. I AM ON FORUMS AND EVERYONE IS HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS BUT THEY ARE ONLY PICKING A FEW TO FIX. THIS IS WRONG. ANYWAYS NOW WHEN I FILL IT UP IT GOES TO EMPTY AND THE LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT LIGHTS. THEN AFTER 30 OR SO MILES IT EVER SO SLOWLY STARTS TO CLIMB UNTIL IT IS FULL. THEN FOR NO REASON IT WILL GO EMPTY AGAIN. IT KEEPS GOING THROUGH THIS CYCLE. *TR

EXCESSIVE RUST ON OIL PAN BOLTS WITH RUST SPREADING FROM BOLTS TO OIL PAN. EXCESSIVE CORROSION (WHITE, POWDERY LOOKING COATING) ON UNDERCARRIAGE BOLTS. UNEXPECTED RUST ON HOSE CLAMP ATTACHING FILLER TUBE TO GAS TANK. 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER, CREW CAB STYLE, 4X4, SE MODEL. THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW IN VIRGINIA AND DRIVEN IN VIRGINIA. CONTACTED DEALER WITH PHOTOS OF THE RUST AND THEY INSPECTED AND CLAIMED TO HAVE FORWARDED INFORMATION TO REGIONAL SERVICE DIRECTOR. AFTER NO ACTION, CALLED 1-800-NISSAN1 AND THEY DIRECTED ME TO RETURN TO THE DEALER AND ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER. DEALER SUPPOSEDLY DOCUMENTED THE RUST AND AGAIN SUBMITTED TO REGIONAL SERVICE DIRECTOR (9/6/2010) - BUT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A PROMISED FOLLOWUP PHONE CALL. TWO ADDITIONAL CALLS TO 1-800-NISSAN1 (DIRECTED TO PHONE BOX WHEN I PROVIDED THE CASE NUMBER) HAVE NOT BEEN RETURNED. *TR
NISSAN FRONTIER 2007, SERVICE BULLETIN NOTES DEFECTIVE FUEL GAUGE SENSOR AND THIS CAN GIVE A FALSE FUEL LEVEL AND CAUSE BREAKDOWN ON HIGHWAY. SB # NTB07-069B AND THEY WILL NOT HONOR THIS AS A RECALL NEED. DEFECTIVE FUEL GAUGE IS A DANGEROUS ITEM WHEN TRAVELING ON HIGHWAYS AT NIGHT. PLEASE PUSH NISSAN TO RECALL / IMPROVE THESE UNITS. *TR
I AM HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE FUEL GAUGE ON MY 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER KING CAB. FIRST OFF WHEN MY TANK WOULD GET TO JUST UNDER A QUARTER MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND I WOULD HAVE TO DISCONNECT AND RECONNECT THE BATTERY TO MAKE THE LIGHT GO AWAY. NOW MY GAUGE READS EMPTY ON A FULL TANK OF GAS AND THE LOW FUEL LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ARE ON. THIS FIRST HAPPENED RIGHT AFTER FILLING MY GAS TANK UP ALL THE WAY A FEW DAYS AGO. GAUGE IS STUCK A EMPTY AND LIGHTS WILL NOT GO AWAY. *TR
IF LEFT IDLING LONGER THAN 3 MINUTES (+-), THE GAS GAUGE DROPS TO "E" AND WARNING LOT COMES ON. AFTER FILL-UP, THE GAS GAUGE WILL NOT MOVE FOR APPROX. 120 MILES, AFTER WHICH I ASSUME IT IS ACCURATE. *TR
WHEN MY 2007 FRONTIER REACHED A LITTLE OVER 50K MILES, NOTICED SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT COMING ON. STAYED ON, TURNED TRUCK ON AND OFF, NOTICED LAST TIME THAT THE GAUGES ALL SHOOK A LITTLE BEFORE ENGINE STARTED, NOW WHEN TO START AGAIN TO TAKE ANOTHER CHILD TO SCHOOL AND ENGINE WON'T START AT ALL, MAKES CLICK CLICK SOUND AND ALL GAUGES SHAKE, SEE MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS, LOOKS LIKE THIS NEEDS A RECALL!!!!!!!!!!! *TR
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON. THE GAS GAUGE STOPPED WORKING AND SOMETIMES CREEPS UP. NOT SURE HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THE TRUCK. SOMETIMES IT IS FULL AND SOMETIMES IT GOES TO HALF AND OTHER TIMES IT JUST DROPS TO EMPTY. *TR
MY SES (SERVICE ENGINE SOON) LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR WEEKS NOW, THE FUEL GAUGE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY ERRATIC. I AM REALLY WORRIED THAT I WILL RUN OUT OF GAS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, OR RUN OUT OF FUEL AND NOT KNOW AND GET HIT ON THE FREEWAY! NISSAN HAS A SERVICE BULLETIN OUT ABOUT THIS VERY ISSUE BUT STILL REFUSES TO DO A RECALL ON WHAT THEY ADMIT IS A BAD SENSOR. I HAVE HAD THIS DIAGNOSED FOR FREE AT AAMCO,(P0463 IS THE CODE) NISSAN REFUSES TO ACCEPT THIS AND WANTS ME TO PAY THEM 100.00+ TO LET THEM DIAGNOSE WHAT I ALREADY KNOW! *TR
FILLED UP GAS TANK AND GAUGE REGISTERED EMPTY AND LOW FUEL LIGHT CAME ON WHEN CAR WAS STARTED. FUEL GAUGE HAS NOT WORKED PROPERLY SINCE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINS ON. (FUEL SENDER NOT WORKIN PROPERLY). *TR

I OWN A 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER SE 4X4 CREW CAB PICKUP. I PURCHASED THE AFOREMENTIONED VEHICLE NEW IN 2007. RECENTLY THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. SHORTLY AFTER THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON I BEGAN TO NOTICE MY FUEL GAUGE NEEDLE DROPPING TO EMPTY OR NEAR EMPTY WHEN I KNEW I HAD AT LEAST 1/4 TANK OF GASOLINE. IF I SHUT THE ENGINE OFF AND STARTED IT BACK UP THE FUEL GAUGE NEEDLE WOULD INDICATE 1/4 TANK, AND THEN SHORTLY AFTERWARD DROP TO EMPTY OR NEAR EMPTY. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE VERY COMMON AND SHOULD WARRANT A RECALL. MY VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 45,800 MILES ON IT. IN MY OPINION RUNNING OUT OF FUEL OR BEING DISTRACTED BY A MALFUNCTIONING FUEL GAUGE COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT. I REQUEST THAT THIS PROBLEM IS INVESTIGATED AND A RECALL IS INITIATED IMMEDIATELY. FUEL GAUGE SHOWED THAT I HAD A QUARTER TANK BUT I RAN OUT OF GAS. WENT TO STATION AND FILLED UP AND GAUGE STILL SHOWED 1/4 TANK. ON 8/2, GAUGE FINALLY REPORTED THAT I HAD 3/4 TANK OF GAS WHICH WAS PROBABLY CLOSE TO WHAT WAS IN MY TANK. IN DOING SOME RESEARCH, IT APPEARS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR NISSAN FRONTIERS, BUT MY YEAR (2007) DOES NOT SHOW UP IN THE RECALL DATABASE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER CREW CAB. WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE HE NOTICED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE HAD FAILED. THE CONTACT HAD RECENTLY REFUELED THE VEHICLE AND THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE DROPPED FROM FULL TO EMPTY AND WOULD OCCUR WHENEVER REFUELING THE VEHICLE. ON ONE OCCASION, THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE READ THE TANK AS ONE-QUARTER FULL YET THE VEHICLE STALLED BECAUSE THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 46,400.
I HAVE RAN OUT OF GAS IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC ON A BUSY HIGHWAY ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT DUE TO FUEL GAUGE NOT READING FUEL LEVEL. I WAS LUCK ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THIS IS ON A NISSAN 2007 FRONTIER SE MODEL. *LN
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHEN HE DROVE THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC. THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE FUEL SENDING UNIT. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE DEALER DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE DEALERS DIAGNOSTIC TEST DETERMINED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE FUEL SENDING GAUGE. THE MANUFACTURER LATER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIRS SINCE THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL 10V074000 FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER: STORAGE: FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 97,261.
ON OR ABOUT 7-15-10, I FILLED THE FUEL TANK IN MY 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER SE CREW CAB TO CAPACITY. WITHIN SECONDS OF STARTING AND DRIVING THE VEHICLE AFTERWARDS, THE "SERVICE ENGINE" WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND MY FUEL GAUGE INDICATOR DROPPED TO THE HALF-FULL MARK. IT HAS BEEN ERRATIC SINCE THAT EVENT AND HAS NOT PROPERLY INDICATED HOW MUCH FUEL REMAINS IN THE TANK. ON 7-16-10, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FROM WHICH IT WAS PURCHASED. THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND ADVISED THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW FUEL SENDING UNIT. THEY ALSO ADVISED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THAT PART, ALTHOUGH THERE WAS A RECALL ON THAT PART FOR THE NISSAN TITAN. THROUGH RESEARCH, I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT NISSAN HAS HAD PREVIOUS RECALLS ON FUEL SENDING UNITS ON OTHER MODEL YEARS AND VEHICLES, AND MANY OWNERS HAVE POSTED THE SIMILAR PROBLEM ONLINE, SPECIFICALLY REGARDING THE FUEL SENDING UNIT ON THE 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER. NISSAN IS AT THIS TIME UNWILLING TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM AT THEIR COST, WHICH I FIND FRUSTRATING AS IT IS AN OBVIOUS PART PROBLEM. MY CONCERN IS THAT AN INACCURATE FUEL LEVEL READING CAUSED BY THIS FAULTY UNIT COULD LEAD TO A STALLED VEHICLE IN TRAFFIC, POSING A CONSIDERABLE SAFETY RISK. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 FRONTIER AND HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL GAUGE. I FILLED THE TRUCK AND THE GAS GAUGE WENT TO EMPTY. AFTER DRIVING FOR 10-15 MINUTES IT WOULD FLOAT UP TO NEAR THE FULL MARK, BUT THEN IT WOULD DROP BACK DOWN TO HALF FULL. THIS FAILURE CAUSED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON AND THIS IN TURN AUTOMATICALLY FAILED MY EMISSIONS TEST. *TR
2007 NISSAN FRONTIER WITH 49K MILES GAS GAUGE NOT WORKING PROPERLY ON AND OFF. SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT KEEPS GOING ON AND OFF AT SAME TIME. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT HE HAD RUN OUT OF GASOLINE FUEL. THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE DISPLAYED ONE-FOURTH OF GASOLINE IN THE VEHICLE ALTHOUGH THERE WAS NONE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO ADD MORE FUEL TO THE VEHICLE AND PROCEED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 49,000.
THE GAS GAUGE GIVES A FALSE READING AND IS UNRELIABLE. IT HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED BY NISSAN AS A DEFECT WITH THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. THIS IS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM THAT OCCURS WITH THE NISSAN PATHFINDERS. THE FRONTIER IS A PATHFINDER WITH A TRUCK BODY. YET NISSAN HAS ONLY RECALLED THE PATHFINDERS. THE RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED TO COVER THE FRONTIERS AS WELL. *TR
GAS GAUGE STUCK ON 1/4 TANK. *TR
THE FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT IN MY 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER SHORTED OUT ON JUNE 22, 2010. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO MY DEALER ON JUNE 24, 2010. THE DEALER INFORMED ME THAT THE ALTHOUGH NISSAN HAS RECALLED THIS PART ON SOME VEHICLES, THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL. THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT WHICH RESULTED IN THE RECALL OF 2006 AND 2008 MODELS OF MY VEHICLE MODEL AS WELL AS OTHER MODELS OF NISSAN VEHICLES USING THE SAME PART FOR 2006 TO 2008, INCLUSIVE (ARMADA AND TITAN MODELS). I AM ASTOUNDED THAT SUCH A RECALL WOULD EXCLUDE VEHICLES WITH SAME PART AND SAME HISTORY OF PART FAILURE. THIS IS ESPECIALLY SURPRISING SINCE THE RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR OTHER MODELS OF MY YEAR, JUST NOT MY MODEL. IF THE PART IS FAILING AND IS A ENOUGH OF A SAFETY ISSUE TO ISSUE A RECALL FOR OTHER MODELS IN THE SAME YEAR AND FOR THE SAME MODEL IN OTHER YEARS, WHY WOULD IT NOT BE CONSIDERED ENOUGH OF A SAFETY ISSUE FOR MY MODEL YEAR? DOES THE NHTSA PLAN TO INITIATE AN INVESTIGATION OF WHY NISSAN IS EXCLUDING MY MODEL IN THE RECALL FOR THE FUEL LEVEL SENDER UNIT? *TR
I HAD 1/4 OF A TANK OF GAS AND WENT TO FILL UP. AFTER FILLING UP MY GAS TANK, I TURNED ON THE CAR, AT WHICH POINT THE NEEDLE DID NOT REGISTER THE FULL TANK. AFTER DRIVING A COUPLE MILES, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I WENT DIRECTLY TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A FUEL SENDING UNIT/SENSOR AND THAT IT WAS NO LONGER COVERED AFTER 30K MILES. AFTER RETURNING HOME AND DOING RESEARCH, I WENT ONLINE TO X.NISSANHELP.COM AFTER PERFORMING A SEARCH, I CAME ACROSS MANY OTHERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. APPARENTLY IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FUEL SENDING UNIT. A SIMILAR PROBLEM WAS FOUND ON THE 2000-2004 XTERRA MODELS AND A RECALL WAS PERFORMED WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD STOP AFTER NOT GETTING ANY FUEL, POSING A GREAT DANGER. IT SEEMS THAT SOMETHING IN THE UNIT IS FAULTY AND WILL CORRODE OVER TIME. THERE IS A GENERAL CONSENSUS THAT EVERYONE WHO IS HAVING THE PROBLEM IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE FOR OVER 2 YRS AND WITH AROUND 39K-49K. IF THIS PROBLEM EXISTED IN PREVIOUS MODELS, AND IT WAS RECALLED, THE 2005-2007 XTERRAS, FRONTIERS, AND PATHFINDERS SHOULD GET THIS FIXED AT NO CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER!! WHY WAIT FOR ACCIDENTS AND POSSIBLE DEATHS, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE PROBLEM LIES IN AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE VEHICLE. COST OF REPAIR RANGES FROM $300-600." *TR
DROVE THE TRUCK WITH THE LOW FUEL WARNING LIGHT ON FOR SEVERAL MILES. UPON FILLING UP THE TANK, THE LOW FUEL LIGHT REMAINED ON AND NEEDLE SHOWED EMPTY. SHORTLY AFTERWARD, THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. MIL CODE IS P0463 - FUEL LEVEL SENSOR PROBLEM. RESETTING THE CODE WORKS FOR A FEW DAYS BUT THEN THE MIL LIGHT COMES BACK ON. THE GAS GAUGE IS ERRATIC, SOMETIMES SHOWING EMPTY WHEN IT'S NOT. SO WE HAVE TO TRACK THE APPROXIMATE FUEL REMAINING BY USING THE TRIP ODOMETER. *TR

WHEN ACCELERATOR WAS PRESSED DOWN THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL ACCELERATION OF VEHICLE WHILE IN SLOW TRAFFIC. IT RACED FOR A SECOND THEN RETURNED TO NORMAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS. I CHECKED TO SEE IF THE FLOOR MAT HAD POSSIBLY CAUSED THIS BUT THE FLOOR MAT WAS UNDER THE GAS PEDDLE IN THE NORMAL POSITION. *TR

MY UNIT FAILED JUST LIKE THE RECALLED UNITS, BUT NISSAN WILL NOT REPLACE THIS OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE UNIT. THE DEALER WILL NOT REPLACE THE UNIT BECAUSE IT IS 3 MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY. *TR

THEY INFORMED ME THAT MY 2007 IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I'VE READ NUMEROUS ACCOUNTS OF 2007 MODELS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AS THE 2006 AND 2008 MODELS SO I AM VERY DISPLEASED THAT NISSAN IS NOT INCLUDING 2007S.
